10. Is there a fic that got a different response than you were expecting?

Definitely "15 Minutes" (John x Reader, Halo). I was suuuuuper new to writing xReader fics and that was just meant to be a one-and-done and I was extremely surprised that, not only did it seem to be liked, but I had people asking to read more about them. It's now an open-ended slow-burn that even has a spin-off "Recreation" for Kai and her male Reader!

Annnnnd thankfully I caught the typo of "Kai and her mail Reader," lol!

Kai: "Okay, honey bun, what mail did I get today?"

You: "All love letters, like usual. Do you want me to start alphabetically chronologically or by degree of Not Safe For Life?"

I think that would have to be "The Thousandth and the First" (NSFW)(Caitlin/Eobard, The Flash). The title doesn't really make any sense until the very last line of its 10 chapters and then, hopefully, it tied the entire thing back together with a bow, lol!

I do have a habit of making the titles the punchline to the story like the above "Thousandth and First" or "Granted" (Caitlin/Harry, The Flash), "I Am" (Barry, MattLetscher!Eobard/Nora, The Flash), "*With Benefits" (NSFW in content but nothing graphic) (Caitlin/Harry, The Flash), "His" (Kai/John, Halo) or some sort of pun or wordplay "Scandal, Us?" (NSFW in content but nothing graphic) (Frost/Nash, The Flash), "Cherryished" (Lydia/Peter, Teen Wolf) or "(In)vulnerable" (NSFW LIEK WOAH, the most graphic thing I've ever written, if that tells you anything 😱😂) (Eobard x Reader, The Flash). Or sometimes something will just pop into my head and that's how I end up with a "The Ice Dragon and the Winter Fox" (Killer Frost/HR, The Flash) or "Gray Sunflowers" (Caitlin/Hunter, The Flash).

Hi! Tumblr has crashed on me many times now while typing this, but I just wanted to say that I loved Adored and saw that some people were sending in songs that remind them of your fan works and wanted to chip in lol.

For me, whenever I read fanfiction I let Spotify run in the background with recommended tracks and sometimes add things that fit the ✨mood✨, so to speak. And oftentimes, certain songs get replayed more than others, thanks to the lovely algorithm.

So now whenever I hear Head Over Heels by Tears For Fears I intrinsically think of Adored.

The verse that you sent is absolutely CORRECT for so many reasons. And even just in the chorus: "I never find out until I'm head over heels" like these two were 'keeping their distance via the system of touch' (or as I like to say, straight up boinking) but fully didn't understand their feelings/want to act on them for sooooo long it's ridiculous. And by the time the Captain knew about his feelings, for example, it was already too late. even though he told Pat he could carry on with the fwb (enemies with benefits ig) thing they had going on, there's no way he could have ever been Normal about it if they had.

A lot of these lines resonated with me pretty deeply "Loving mother, unstable/Daddy gone, under the table/But you found a song in your heart" as well as "You cut your hair, changed your name/Left a note as you escaped/To thine own self be true". I also had a friend a little while back who was a fan of The Midnight, so I looked them up but never really found a song that resonated until this one. The call to action of killing your demons, physical and mental, then saying "Don't you look good in red" is just so fucking metal man.

2. Dynasties and Dystopias by Denzel Curry, Gizzle, Bren Joy

What can I say? I loved Arcane when it came out and this song goes hard.

3. Cirice by Ghost

Yuuup my newly annointed metaldom thanks Ghost for it's service as one of the more modern bands I've liked in that genre. I like singing along to "I can feel the thunder that's breaking in your heart/I can see through the scars inside you". It just has a nice rhythm and mouth feel!
