I don't exactly expect a sad or happy ending, rather we were always going to get something in between.
Doesn't hurt any less though, they love each other so much, my silly little found family😭
Also, the giggling piece of filth that is the Father can go ahead and die now.

Iki Family Origin (ig??)
Hi guys. It's an old topic but i guess it's interesting even until now.
Honestly, i was looking for Tsukuyomi crumbs (lol) and then i read how Iki was the first clan to build Tsukuyomi a shrine. At first i thought it was a coincidence- while Tsukuyomi's first shrine was on Iki Island (they are said to be an island with full of shrines). I never really look up much further about Iki.
And then i found that according to Kenzoki- during Kenzo Period, the era where humans start to lead a nation with emperor title. Legend has it Tsukuyomi has posessed someone and told the people to worship him, then good life with pleasure will be theirs. The people then built a shrine for him- had Oshiminosukune, known as Lord of Iki Prefecture (壱岐県主, Iki no Agatanushi, you can also say them as Iki's first Ancestor) to serve Tsukuyomi.
So, where's the connection?
Interesting enough- 壱岐県主 (Iki no Agatanushi, the Lord of Iki Prefecture) the kanji of Iki they written in the history, 壱岐 (Iki) has the same kanji with Hiyori's surname. 壱岐ひより (see attachment)
Tumblr media
Coincidence? I think not. Lol.
While at it, Iki Family (on the manga) canonically being told to have this ability to "sense" things other people can't (said Iki Masaomi, Hiyori's brother) Iki Grandma confirmed this, added Sayuri (Hiyori's Mom) also sensitive to the farshore.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
We also know that Hiyori gave Yato a mini-shrine. Could that be foreshadowing for her family line is actually Tsukuyomi's servant?
Tumblr media
Hiyori is now dead and Yato turned her into his shinki- known as Shiro (a beautiful sakura dagger) that is now, serving Yato as her master.

What do you guys think?

I don’t think I’ve ever mentioned how much I fucking love Noragami on this blog. Because I love Noragami. So fucking much.
I’m still waiting for that third season and will wait until the end of my days even tho I know it’ll most likely never happen.
These three dumbasses own my heart since 2016 when I first saw the anime
Tumblr media
Yato and Hiyori had known each other for like 2 days but they both saw Yukine and decided that this is their child now and they will love and cherish him and give him a happy family AND THEY FUCKING COMMITTED TO IT!!
Now that the manga has entered it’s final arc I have no idea how too feel because I’m so scared to let it go!😭
Anyone here who loves Noragami?

hey. hey you.
write a physical letter that your f/o would give to you.
go all out on it! if they’re the fancy type, buy pretty-looking paper. if they’re the casual type, rip a page out of a notebook. try to write in handwriting that’s not your own. think about what they’d say to you, how they’d express their love and care for you in words, and write it down. it can be one sentence or a hundred, simple and heartfelt or a whole damn novel.
put it in an envelope, or fold it up into a paper plane. scrunch it up if they’d be too shy to send it in the first place. wear lipstick and kiss the back of it. spray it in a scent that you think they’d wear. if you can and if they would, put a wax seal on the envelope.
now put it somewhere safe. somewhere you might forget about for a while. and you’ll find it again when you need it most—your f/o’s truest, most loving words for you that you can touch, smell and read, over and over again.
that they adore you, more than anything.
(psst- if they can’t write, say they hired a scribe just for this! if they’re a robot, type it out! the possibilities are endless, and love letters are timeless. treat yourself, and let yourself be loved by them. ♡)

I’m throwing canon Noragami off a cliff. Maybe canon divergent. Definitely just satisfying my selfishness lol but here I make my offering 🙃
Day 29 @flufftober - “Hey, wake up” Yatori/family-ish Drabble
From the darkness, Yato hears the sound of faint voices calling, calling, for what he cannot make out. Where is this? Where am I, he wonders. Even his extra sensory perceptions as a God do little against this black void he’s floating in. Oh… That’s right, once his father was killed and because Hiyori is now a shinki, his last tether to humankind has been lost. Does that mean this void is a God’s death? Just an unending space of nothingness, because that’s now what his is— nothing, no rebirth, no second chances. What are those voices saying? So frustrating. He feels like they’re calling to him… Senses familiar energy… Open your eyes… Is that what he’s hearing? Wake up… Come back… Back to where? He can’t exist anywhere anymore now that there’s no human who believes. Open your eyes!… The voices, they’re getting louder. Wake up… How? Come back! Yato feels something pulling on him now, like a cord tied to something on the other end. Hey! Wake up! The voice now screams to him. Open your damn eyes! Okay, okay!
Slowly, Yato cracks his eyes open a sliver expecting nothing but more darkness, yet— light suddenly floods through the tiny crack stunning him for a moment like someone shining a flashlight in your face. What the hell? The more he opens his lids, the brighter the light till they’re completely open. He double blinks, and puts his hand over his face trying to block out— the sun?? His vision is still focusing, but he’s pretty damn sure it’s just the sun.
Well, there’s no time to think about it as two bodies pile onto him. Huh?
“Yato!” Hiyori and Yukine scream in tandem. “Yato, it’s over! It’s over!”
Wait! Hiyori?? But, but… Yato sits up, forcing the two to get off him. Yato blinks in absolute disbelief. “Hi-Hiyori?” His voice trembles. This is impossible. Shinki shouldn’t remember their past lives without it causing them pain, yet Hiyori sounds completely normal.
“It’s me,” Hiyori smiles.
The dam of tears break free as Yato pulls Yukine and Hiyori into a bear hug. To feel them, touch them— for them to be here as if nothing had happened. His true family. This is the happiest day of his life and with such a second chance he does something he's wanted to do for a long, long time. When they release from the hug, Yato cups Hiyori's cheeks, pulling in and placing a pressured kiss to her lips. Hiyori squeaks at the sudden intrusion and a bloom of pink flushes his skin.
"Seriously!" Yukine slaps Yato's shoulder once he breaks away from the kiss. "Not the place for this!"
"Sorry," Yato scratches the back of his neck in embarrassment. "Couldn’t help it. But tell me," he grabs Hiyori's hands. "How can you remember who you are or me or any of us?" He also turns to Yukine as well as he speaks. "Why am I still here if my lifelines are gone?"
"I don't fully understand it myself, and I didn't know anything at the beginning. During the battle with father I was just a vessel." Hiyori explains.
"After father was killed, and you were knocked out, Ōkuninushi showed up with your tied plaques," Yukine continues.
"I had no idea who he was, and that’s when he said just one word to me," Hiyori carries on, "'remember,' and suddenly everything came flooding back. It took some time to get my bearings back, but thankfully, Yukine was there to help me through. Once I remembered everything, that's when he explained how my love and promise to never forget you was strong enough for him to use to intercede."
"Oh, I remember you doing it once before," Yukine points out to Hiyori, "you broke the spell that one time too." He then addresses Yato again. "As for the lifelines, well there are enough that remember you."
Yato’s brow raises in disbelief. "Like who?"
"My brother," Hiyori smiles.
"And my sister, thanks to Hiyori," Yukine adds. "And maybe some of the customers you've helped. Point being, you're still here."
This is all so much to process quickly, but now that he knows what’s happened, all of the emotional toil he held in during the battle is released like a tidal wave sweeping over the land. Yato pulls them back into a hug as the waterworks start anew and his babbling apologies to the two shinki flow free. Throughout his life, he hasn’t always been one to see the mistakes he makes— a trait common among the gods who do not truly understand things like emotions or atonement. They ask for atonement from followers, yet do not believe it applies to them. If there’s one thing father proved, is that this unattached, unfeeling sense of omnipotence is a problem amongst Heaven that needs to change. Only gods like Bishamon or Kofuku who have created close bonds with either their shinki or the humans around them, learned what it means to care, to hurt, and to love— they are the gods worthy of their station. And now, Yato has entered this point thanks to Hiyori and Yukine, and others like Kofuku. His battle with father is the proof, because all Yato wanted to do was protect those he loved even if it meant his death.
“I’m so sorry for everything,” Yato stammers through the tears. “It’s my fault all these horrible things have happened to you. If I’d just listened to you Yukine, father wouldn’t have been able to manipulate you, and Hiyori…” his voice chokes, “y-you would still be alive. I was so stupid to try and do things on my own when having my family with me made me stronger.”
“You’re damn right, you should’ve listened to me!” Yukine punches Yato’s arm with medium strength. “But, I know you were just trying to protect me. I hope you’ve learned to trust us now.”
“And Yato,” Hiyori speaks up, “please don’t blame yourself. It was my selfish wish you were trying to honor. I chose to get involved knowing it would be dangerous even with several of you all trying to warn me.”
“But Hiyori, you never got to live a full life,” Yato blubbers. “It’s not fair!”
“It’s not,” she smiles, “yet I still wouldn’t change a thing.” Hiyori grabs Yato and Yukine’s arms and pull them close to her on each side. “I love you both too much to have walked away. So, I forgive you,” she kisses Yato on the cheek. “And I’m happy to have you back,” she kisses Yukine on the cheek.
“And I forgive you too, Yato,” Yukine adds. “So stop the blubbering cause now we need to figure out where to go from here.”
“Oh!” Hiyori sits up straight in her excitement. “There’s one more good news. Heaven has recognized your efforts and contribution to this fight and finally consider you to be a true god worthy of respect. Therefore, you’ve been bestowed a new title. The god of calamity is due to your father’s wish, but it’s no longer the wish fueling your existence. So, they feel you’ll be a god who protects children. Ebisu has even offered to build a temple for you in the city.”
Yato and Yukine’s jaws drop, both uttering a, “Wow…”
“I’m stunned,” Yato’s mind is short-circuting. “Am I really worthy of such a title?”
“Why not,” Yukine teases. “You act like a child, so you’ll understand them better.” Even Hiyori has to laugh at the stab of truth.
“I see your mouth is back to normal,” Yato retorts, then laughs, “but you’re so right!” He pulls both of them to him, one on each side, and resting his arms over their shoulders. “Well family, should we grab some food? Cause I’m starving!”
Hiyori chuckles. “Now, there’s our Yato…”

the most recent chapter has broken me and i have yet to recover..
But with noragami ending very soon i wanted to share my thoughts about these past how many years lol.
I was like 15 when i bought the first two volumes that were on shelves in 2014/2015 at a barnes and noble on a trip back from seeing my family.
The covers drew me in, i had never read manga before and i barely knew what it was, but the watercolor style made me stop and pick up the first volume and i read the first few pages and i look back on it fondly, it has a silly start, but what got me was, there's this god and hes powerful but no one likes him and hes kinda annoying lol but actually the more i read, i discovered Hiyori, someone who liked him.
And for a lonely kid like me that got me, i could instantly relate, heres this lonely god and he tries and tries to be noticed, looking for someone to acknowledge him, and at the end of the first chapter, you know someone has.
Noragami did and does give me hope, especially when i needed it and when i need it now, it tells stories of people who are dead and shouldn't have hope, it gives them hope.
And because of that one chance encounter, ever since then every time i went by a book store i bought the newest volumes that were there and i still have them all to this day, but im actually a bit behind on volumes cause of now being a busy adult, but i hope to buy the rest of the volumes as soon as i can cause noragami as a series means the world to me.
