Hello
Thanks for your good work on this Tumblr
My cousin used to live in Los Angeles and sent me a picture of the Capitol building ( not this one ) saying this is where George Harrison met Olivia
All sources on the Internet, for example, Wikipedia say that they met when she was working for A&M who were going to release Harrison’s dark horse label records . I guess that is true so my question is why was the party for Darkhorse held at the Capitol building as this photo shows why was the party not at A&M ? Did they meet at the Capitol or at A&M records?
If you have an answer for that, I would be intrigued to know as I was telling my cousin that they did not ever made the capital
Thanks for reading this
Hello!
Thank you for your message, and the kind words about this page.
While I'm not an authority on the exact details, here's something straight from Dhani, who said that his parents met at A&M. Here's the quote:
Dhani Harrison: "[F]unny enough, we're performing the soundtrack [Beautiful Creatures] live the night before the movie comes out. And the room we're performing it in, it turns out that's the room that my mom and my dad met in."
ELLE: "In Los Angeles?"
DH: "Yes. It's at what used to be A&M Records. My mother worked for A&M before she met my father. It's now the Henson Studios." - Elle, February 14, 2013
(And here's the post featuring the aforementioned 1974 photo published in Cashbox.)
Thanks for asking!
