Kasumi: Nope. I had an interview nearby, so I decided to stop by.

Izumi: Oh, I see! That surprised me.

Kasumi: Ahaha. I guess my little prank was a success. I’m glad I happened to bump into Isuke outside. Oh right. Thanks to all of you, our last feature on Flora High and Tsuku High was a huge hit. It looks like everyone can’t stop longing for their youths, huh?

Izumi: I guess so. I’m glad all the readers enjoyed it. Ah. You came all the way here, so please have some tea. I’ll make some right now.

Kasumi: Aw, thank you. Actually, I also brought something I’d like to pass along to you. I received a whole lot of these, so I’m sharing them with you.

Izumi: Woah, thank you so much! Are these sweets? They’re all Christmas-y and adorable!

Kasumi: Hehe, aren’t they? There’s several different types of packaging…. This one’s a Christmas tree, and this one looks like Santa.

Izumi: Ah. Is this one a gingerbread man? Christmas is just around the corner, alright.

Kasumi: Mm, I wonder if I can ask…

Izumi: ? What is it?

Kasumi: What are your plans for Christmas? Naturally, I’m going to spend mine with my daughters… But I wonder who Director will be spending it with.

Izumi: I’m… not telling.

Kasumi: Aw~.

Izumi: You’ll see if you come to the MANKAI dorm.

Kasumi: Ahaha. Doesn’t that mean you’re going to spend it with all the troupe members?

Izumi: Fufu. I heard it’s common to spend Christmas with your family overseas.

Kasumi: Family…? I see. Why don’t we make “family” the next “Spotlight” special feature then? Because we’re family, there are sides of each other that we know, and on the other hand, sides of each other that we don’t know. And there are surely bonds that you would never be able to form anywhere else. I’ve always wanted to write an article about that kind of special, deep relationship. During this season, I’m sure each family has their own Christmas stories and such. We can ask troupe members who have family or close connections within or outside the troupe. What do you think?

Izumi: Family, huh… (Speaking of families, we have Juza-kun and Kumon-kun, Misumi-kun and Madoka-kun, and also…) (Hisoka-san and Chikage-san, I suppose?) (If we’re going to make a special feature, then the Hyodo brothers might be a good choice…) (But I think it would be safer not to reveal the relationship between Misumi-kun and Madoka-kun since he's still just a student and part of another troupe.) (As for Hisoka-san and Chikage-san…) I-It’s really hard to explain…

Kasumi: Hm?

Izumi: Ah, nothing! … …I think there are lots of different types of families, not just one. There are families that society would call "normal families", and there are also families who have missed each other and are now finally growing closer, little by little… There are also families who may not be related by blood, but the strength of their bonds are even stronger than that. MANKAI Company is like one big family, so I consider all of them my family. That’s why when you say “family”, it’s a bit hard to narrow it down…

Kasumi: …I see. That’s very true. A “family” is a special relationship, so it can be difficult sometimes. I mean, even our home is a bit different than what society considers normal as well. Alright, let’s discuss the next special feature again in a proper meeting next time.

Izumi: Sounds good. (I know I was declining the offer in a roundabout way, but I’m grateful Kasumi-san understood.) (Though, I do feel sorry I turned down the special feature just like that. I’ll have to properly explain the circumstances and apologize later…) (It won’t fill in for the feature, but I wonder if they’ll tell me if I ask them. About their special memories with their precious family members—)

manager x is quite the character with multiple possible interpretations, isn't he? I assume you've met a handful of x fans from what i can see in this blog, and have seen whatever amount of x fan content that exists (it's rather few, isn't it?) my question is what similarities have you found with the many interpretations of x from various fans? sorry i was curious

Indeed he is! Despite the admittedly small amount of interest for him within the general Project Moon Fandom, what interest there is seems quite divergent considering he is, after all, the self-insert character and can thus be interpreted in a variety of ways.

However, it's very interesting to see you ask about similarities, since that's something I didn't really think about a lot until now. I suppose the similarities aren't really apparent on Tumblr, but using Twitter (or X, whichever suits your fancy) yields more consistent results considering the community there is a lot larger.

I think one of the most common tropes I've seen is X having a paper with an ''X' covering his face to distinguish him from Ayin, and I frankly do like that design a lot, although it unfortunately only works in art, not so much in writing. There's also the semi-common trope where he either hates or loves Angela, at least from what I've seen thus far. It's also common to perceive him as more innocent or naive when compared to Ayin and the rest of the A3 in general, without forgetting the reasonably present tripe of having him suffering from some form of PTSD or another.

But other than that, it's true that he's quite diverse when it comes to how he's perceived and interpreted by the community, which, again, comes as no big surprise seeing he's a faceless protagonist that was made meta-wise and lore-wise to be projected onto, heh.

A3: MUKU'S BLOG POST 🌻

Muku said it rained hard the night before despite the sunny forecast. So he, Sakuya, and Kazu made some Teru Teru Bozu and luckily, it became sunny the next day! 🥰

So he went running with Guy and Tasuku. They also had some barbeque with other members. Then they went to the Sunflower field and took a photo. The Sunflower that Tsuzuru was holding actually got broken, so Muku asked the staff if they can just take it. It's now displayed in their dorm.

Muku said that the Sunflower reminded of him of Tenma. 😌🌻

So I don’t often barge in talking about ships on this blog—honestly I’ve been pretty stern about not doing that, though I couldn’t really explain why if you asked—but today’s a special day, so I figured it’s about time I get on board!

So, here’s my top 5 A3! ships! Under the cut for length purposes and for some spoilers for Trump the Phantom Thief. For each, I also tried to explain a bit of why they’ve anchored themselves as favorites for me :)

5. The Royal Star Cruise

You might not remember this ship—it’s the luxury cruise liner where the heist in Trump the Phantom Thief takes place! To be fair, it’s definitely my love for this play that boosted this one into the top five, though, since we don’t  have much information about the ship itself at all. The hallways look nice, though!

4. The little ship they ride to Misoshiosa Island

This ship is barely a ship, but I’ve gotta put it on the list for two reasons. One, Misoshiosa is one of my favorite events in all of A3. Two, I couldn’t have EVERY ship on this list be a big one, right? Smaller, lesser-known ships deserve some recognition too.

3. Princess Aurora

Princess Aurora gets some automatic bonus points for appearing in more than one story! The Summer and Autumn Troupes perform Trump the Phantom Thief on it, and then they return to it in the A Scenic View to Give You Someday event!  It has a really different feel from the Queen Camellia, too; they really went off with the design of this one.  I feel like I’d put it even higher, but I’m not sure if I’d want to be on a ship that had a literal gem heist on it.

2. The Queen Camellia

Do I personally like the Princess Aurora better? Yeah. But honestly, the Queen Camellia is such an iconic ship in A3.  When you hear “A3 ship,” the Queen Camellia is definitely one of the first to come to mind. I think it’s the only named ship we got in A3EN, after all, and it’s the event that had the sailor-themed cards.  Its gold detailing makes it look even fancier than the Princess Aurora too, and that POOL? I would kill (and then be arrested by Sakuya) to hang out at that pool.

1. Captain Sky’s Pirate Ship

Of course I have to give the number 1 spot to a ship as iconic as this one. The whole play takes place on it! They’re PIRATES! Of course the pirate ship is going to leave an impression! The ships used by the royal navy look similar to frigates, but Sky’s ship is described as shabby, so it’s possible that it’s a smaller ship instead.  If only the English graphics didn’t break so I could tell… :pensive: Anyway, top tier ship even if they do kill it off at the end T_T
