I'm not sure if the search works similar like twitter, so I obscured some terms for the vent. You know what awaits you in here..

I wish I could follow more AtlA/LoK blogs here or on twitter, but the Ky/aliners and b/utch-Lin and le/sbian-Lin posts are so annoying because you can't avoid them, even with tag-blocking, as they have become USELESS thanks to misuse. Also they take their headcanons to such a level they forget they are HEADCANONS. NOT CANON. NOT EVEN FANON (fanon are things like 'moon tea' in fics for an example...). JUST headcanon. FOR THEM. FOR THEIR BUBBLE. And they can't leave the Linzin tag alone. If it's not about the break-up so it can end up in Pe/mzin and Ky/alin they don't care and talk down on the ship I enjoy A LOT.

I blocked the tag Ky/alin. But you know what happens? Half the posts are invisible now, but more than half of these don't even have anything to do with the ship/one of the characters. The tags some people give it are just crap and you mess the system up. I couldn't see some of my own posts anymore after some people added Kyalin in their reblog as a tag to it, and every person reblogging that post took it with them! It's so ridiculous. Do they know that? Is it on purpose? Do they really think some random Lin art is Ky/alin? Because certainly not.

Ky/alin - Doesn't work for me. At all. You'll not find this here. The closest they'll ever be imo are sister-in-laws and childhood friends (they are 4 years apart, so even here taken with a grain of salt).

Bu/tch Lin - Nope, no appeal to me either. You won't find this here either. (And you really are so sensitive, that you put 'tw' for femme Lin posts and put these under cuts? WTF. You know this could go both ways, but I guess the other side isn't as good as whining and playing victim.) I don't work with these distinctions in general.

'Le/sbian' Lin - She was in a long-term relationship with Tenzin. At least Bi or Pan. Stop taking that from her. I don't want to see that take anymore. Tired of biphobic takes. If you need your headcanons for your weird way of 'representation' do that far far away from me.

I multiship, A LOT, but when smth becomes obnoxious and every time I try again to give it a chance... i hit a 'HELL NO' point, it's sad... I blocked a lot of blogs by now, esp. when the Linzin tag is a warzone thanks to them, instead of a place where the few people shipping them can enjoy their ship. I try to unblock some of them now and then again, because cutting everybody off isn't my thing.. but often enough it's proven to be necessary.

I don't expect others to ship the same things I do, but I have seen so much flaming and awful takes, 'just because', which really are leaving you in such a bad state afterwards... I have no compassion anymore. I just say 'NO' and try to leave it at that, as I really believe everybody should ship what they enjoy the full amount possible.

But I don't get why my ship tag has to be fucked up by other shippers like this... and why I don't see a lot of posts anymore because the ship I blocked is put on unrelated posts over and over... and I have to gamble... click on the button to see or scroll over it.

I never get focusing on what you dislike... worse when you search the tags about what you like and get thrown into everything bad. We do have the discord, yes, but it's still difficult, if you are literally locked in there. On AO3 we need to block ships and authors because of mistagging and spite-fics ("I don't ship them, but write about them now"), on tumblr we need to block blogs and ships, on twitter... so many blogs, esp. from minors.

Will I be ever able to just say 'whatever' and finish all of my Linzin art and upload here and take the Linzin tag back again? Because every time I look into it again I'm scared af.

It's amazing how I was never scared about any of this in the FE3H fandom, here I was simply 'never as good as the others' or 'my ship was too small' but damn, I enjoyed like 99% of the content and the drama was so much easier avoidable. :"D Also.. the AkaYona fandom.. it was never this complicated. It's not like there were never any problems, but the amount of time going into all that disappointment from the tags over and over is flabbergasting... I could have drawn three Linzin fancomics by now. And one would be smut.

Hak x Kija - First Date

Wow, I’m back doing stuff for Akayona! Request comes from the lovely angryharmonyqueen

It was a regular autumn afternoon at Kouka University. Calm weather, slightly cloudy skies, and a campus milling with pods of busy students. Kija had just finished his morning Thursday classes and was eating his lunch, taking what little time he had to enjoy himself before his final class of the day. He was scrolling through missed texts, mainly from his grandmother, when he heard a noticeable whump in front of him. Looking at the sound, he saw Hak sitting down in front of him, book bag slumped heavy on the wire table.

“So… want to go on a date?” he asked, casual, as if he hadn’t just dropped a bomb.

Kija spat out his drink. “Wh-what?!”

Hak raised an eyebrow, his expression infuriatingly expectant. “Did you forget you confessed to me last week?”

Kija crushed his juice box, not really caring that its contents spilled over his scales. It was true, he had confessed in a spectacularly embarrassing fashion nearly a week ago. But that was due to his brothers egging him on and – “I wasn’t expecting anything from it!” he protested.

For the love of the gods, Hak pouted in response. That was nearly enough to give Kija a heart attack! “If you didn’t expect anything from it, why would you tell me?”

Spurred on by his eager nerves and the bothersome stickiness between his scales, Kija stood up from his seat and hurried to the nearest water fountain, throwing away the juice box as he went. Hak followed him. As Kija ran water over his hand, Hak leaned over his shoulder, his face much too close for Kija’s enjoyment.

“So? Will you tell me?”

Kija resolutely turned his head away. Hak moved to lean over his other shoulder. Kija scowled.

“Why are you so angry, White Snake?”

“Y-you…!” Kija started to dry his hand with a handkerchief. His face was burning, and it had everything to do with Hak. “D-don’t… don’t get my hopes up.”

A noise of disbelief came from the other man. “Do you really think I would do that? I’m hurt.”

Kija squeaked. “No! You’re a perfectly respectable individual, very sweet and honorable! I-i-it’s just that—”

Before he could continue, Hak took his hand. It was perfectly dry now, but still he took Kija’s handkerchief to rub at the scales. Through the thin layer of fabric, his thumb rubbed across Kija’s palm, and the dragon could’ve kissed him right then and there.

“Then go out with me. I want to try with you.”

Kija stared at him. The expression before him was as serious and steadfast as Hak could ever get. There was no denying his honesty, not when he looked so much like a loyal knight.

Embarrassment broke their eye contact. Kija whispered, “Okay.”

They agreed to meet up at Hiryuu Park the following Saturday. Kija arrived in a pair of tan oxford boots, light blue acid-washed jeans, and a white with black stripes open shirt, with a blue tank top underneath. He was there first, of course, because it was only reasonable to show up to a date fifteen minutes early! He managed to pass the time by texting his friends, almost lulling himself to a total calm by the time his date arrived.

“Hey, White Snake.”

Hak’s voice, deep, rumbling, and unbearably sexy, interrupted Kija from typing an indignant response to Jae-ha’s teasing. Hesitantly, Kija looked up to greet his date, only for his mouth to run dry at the sight. Hak was in a rich blue button-up tucked into black trousers, the sleeves rolled up to his elbows and buttons undone just enough to offer a peak at his chest. The trousers had embroidered details along the pants’ leg—stitched in grey so they were barely noticeable except for an observant eye. On his feet were a pair of black dress shoes—bluchers, was Kija’s best guess—and in his hands was a sizeable bouquet of pink and white flowers, interspersed with little yellow flowers. Hak, the bastard, smirked when he noticed Kija’s fluster.

“That sexy, White Snake?”

Kija gawked, spluttered, all but threw his phone and wallet at the stupidly hot man, before he managed to squeak out, “You’re too dressed up!”

Hak stared at him, dumbfounded.

“We agreed to a simple lunch date! I came in casual clothes! Why are you dressed like we’re about to travel to Europe?!”

Hak pouted, the bastard. “Yona said you’d like this…”

Kija actually screeched at that. “Don’t bring the princess into this! Her taste is impeccable, and she’s right, I do like it! But not for a casual date!” Before he could think twice, he took Hak’s free hand. “Come on, we’re getting you changed!”

They ended up in a retail store nearby. Much to Kija’s embarrassment, Hak picked out an outfit that matched his—dark blue jeans, a white tank-top with blue stripes, and a grey button-up unbuttoned to this navel. But arguing was pointless when Hak only had to smile knowingly to shut Kija up. With Hak’s previous outfit in a bag and the bouquet resting on Kija’s arm, the two hurried to a café one of Kija’s cousins owned.

“I-I really hope you don’t mind coming to a place my family works…” Kija mumbled as they were seated. What he didn’t say was my grandmother insisted we come here.

Hak hummed. “No, I don’t mind.”

The menus were laid out before them, but Kija could only stare at his hands in his laps. He heard Hak order their drinks for them—hazelnut coffee for Hak, lemon green tea for Kija—but he couldn’t say a word until the waitress left. “Th-th-that’s good…” he managed to whisper.

They lapsed into silence. Peaking up revealed Hak with the menu in one hand and his phone in the other. To Kija’s chagrin, he was much more interested in the latter.

When their drinks were delivered and the waitress asked for their food orders, Kija managed to order a salad. Hak ordered a sandwich. The menus were returned and the unbearable silence resumed.

Just as frustration was about to win over Kija’s nerves, Hak finally spoke. “So, um… what are your hobbies?”

That elicited a surprised chuckle out of Kija. “Why would you ask me that? You’ve known me for years!”

Hak pouted, overly adorable for such a handsome man. “The article said to…”

Kija crossed his arms, finally sitting up straight. “The article?”

Hak grumbled and passed over his unlocked phone. On the screen was an online article titled AWKWARD FIRST DATE? HERE’S 10 CONVERSATION STARTERS. Kija couldn’t help himself—he started laughing instantly. “You—you looked this up?! We’ve been friends for so long, you don’t need this!”

“That’s the problem!” Hak argued as he retrieved his phone. “This is our first date, it should be—I don’t know—different? I don’t want it to be like every time we’ve hung out.”

In truth, their hangouts were the definition of casual. Usually, them and their shared friend group would meet up at either Hak or Yona’s houses and watch movies or play games. Kija tended to fall asleep before midnight and had to be carted back to his home. But on more than one occasion, Kija and Hak would spend a night alone watching B-rated sci-fi movies or forgotten action classics, since they were the only two people in their friend group who liked such flicks. Those nights were the instigator behind Kija’s feelings as well as a treasured source of memories that he could play over and over when he was lonely. But he had to agree with Hak—it wouldn’t be a good first date if it was at all like their usual hangouts, silence that was only interjected with jeering or laughter. He wanted something lovely, something more like a cheesy romance novel than a movie for teenagers. It made him happy, knowing that Hak felt the same.

Kija heard a camera snap and immediately turned to glare at his cousin from where she was peeking from the kitchen. She only giggled and noticeably took another picture before escaping to her station.

Kija sighed before pulling on a smile. “It’s nice we agree, then.” Remembering the bouquet, he leaned over to the bag holding Hak’s clothes and the bouquet to pluck out one of the small yellow flowers. The tiny stem pinched between his thumb and pointer finger, he held it out to Hak. “To a good first date?”

A dusting of pink peeked out from Hak’s tan skin. “Yeah…” he agreed as he took the flower and tucked it behind his right ear, “to a good first date.”

Things become easier, after that. The food was delivered and quickly devoured. A chocolate cake, “compliments of the chef”, was placed between them within minutes of finishing lunch, and the two of them split it. Hak, of course, has more of the cake than Kija—the man was the quicker and more voracious of them, but Kija didn’t mind. He was too enchanted by the specks of chocolate cake on Hak’s mouth, the flower in Hak’s hair, and good conversation to complain. Thankfully, Kija’s cousin doesn’t bother them any further, and Kija paid the cheque without hassle.

They walked somewhat aimlessly after that. A live band performance was scheduled at the park they met at, but that wasn’t for another hour. Kija found himself enjoying the easy silence, and he kept staring at the bouquet once again in his arms. He couldn’t believe Hak, a brute by most estimates, had chosen something so beautiful for him. Just as Kija was about to properly thank him for the gift, Hak suddenly stopped in the middle of the sidewalk, hands dug into his pants pockets and face towards the ground, and asked, “Are you having fun…?”

Kija turned to face him. “Of course I am!” The sullen dip of Hak’s lips and scrunch of his eyebrows didn’t lift. Kija stepped into his space, forcing eye contact. “I’ve had a lovely time so far.” Embarrassment flooded his cheeks and made him look away. “I… This is better than anything I’ve imagined.”

He heard Hak snort. “I know about those romance books you like to read. This hasn’t been as great as those, I’m sure.”

Kija frowned, crossed his arms. “Those are dramatic. I don’t read them because they’re exactly what I want.” Age-old frustration rose within him, threatening to force out the wrong words. He was never good at saying exactly what he wanted. Instead, he took a deep breath and waited out the frustration, then the hint of awkwardness, then managed to say, “Everything I’ve imagined and everything I’ve read haven’t had the reality of having you actually here with me.” He grabbed Hak’s wrist and kept on charging through, before humiliation and anxiety could catch up to his mouth. “I’ve wanted to be with you for years. You could throw me into the sea and I would still consider this the best, most fun date I’ve ever been on.”

Hak was silent. Kija was about to take back all his words, save himself a least a little pride, when a calloused hand reached up to caress Kija’s chin and guide him to look up. Kija followed through and barely had time to appreciate the vulnerability on Hak’s face before the taller man kissed him.

Fireworks burst beneath his lips, spread through his teeth and his gums, traveled down his throat and expanded through his entire body. In that moment, he could lift a piano with his human hand, could run a marathon without breaks, could hold the entire world on his back. His heart burst, and it was the most wonderful Kija had ever felt.

“I feel the same,” Hak said when he pulled back. “I-I mean…” He snaked an arm around Kija’s back, tugged him closer. The flowers crushed between their chests, but Kija couldn’t find it in himself to care. With his hand on Kija’s cheek, their breaths intermingling, black hair tickling pale cheeks, Hak muttered, “My feelings for you are recent, I think. But, I… I wanted to go out with you and it’s been great. You’ve been great. Kija, I want to be your boyfriend. Can we?”

Kija’s smile could barely contain his joy. This was more than he had ever dreamed of on those lonely nights. Hak wanted him too. Hak wanted him. His happiness alone could power the whole city.

“Of course,” he said. “I want to be your boyfriend, too.” And then he leaned in to steal a kiss of his own.

AkaYona Ladies Week 2019: Tea and Sweets

Summary: Yona has been crowned queen of Kouka and could use some mothering. Gi-gan arrives just in time.

I do not own Akatsuki no Yona.

Yona leaned against the railing of the Queen’s balcony—her balcony, as of that morning. The cold of metal chilled from the winter air dug into her forearms, even through her thick robes, and her new crown pressed down on her from above. Closing her eyes, it was all too easy to picture her father, Hiryuu, and Soo-won standing behind her, each with one hand holding down her crown. The weight of past kings. Their mistakes had led one to his death, one to war, and another to exile. The fact that Yona had done the exiling just seemed to make Soo-won’s hand weigh all the heavier.

“Yona,” a familiar voice called, rough from smoking. “Stop thinking, girl, it’s just making you worry. You can save that for tomorrow.”

Forcing a smile, Yona opened her eyes and turned around. “Captain Gi-gan!”

The woman grinned and swept her up in a hug. “You can be queen tomorrow,” she promised. “For tonight, just be a girl sharing a hug and tea with an old friend.”

Yona sniffed and tightened her arms around the captain. Gi-gan had gotten to Kuuto as fast as she could, but with how fast the coronation had happened, she had only just managed to arrive the night before. They hadn’t had time to catch up yet, and—and if Yona was being honest with herself, she could use a break, and the captain’s presence was distracting her already.

Leaning away, she backed out of the hug and managed a small smile. “Did you say tea? I wasn’t aware you knew what that was.”

“Hah!” Gi-gan barked. She shook her head and gestured back inside, where a small table, chairs, tea, and cookies had been set up by a blazing fire. The fact Yona had missed all that happening meant she must have been concentrating deeper than she had thought. “Listen, girl—you live on the sea, and you learn to appreciate all kinds of drinks. Especially the hot ones. They’ll do you good on cold nights like this.”

“And the cookies?” Yona teased.

Gi-gan grinned, somehow lowering herself both gracefully and carelessly into the chair farthest from the fire. “The cookies are a treat and, I’ll admit, a regular guilty pleasure of mine. But they’ll do you good just about anytime you need.”

Yona sat next to the captain and picked up her cup first. “I’ll try to keep that in mind.”

“Good. Now be quiet and drink. One cup required before more conversation, captain’s orders.”

Giggling, Yona did as Gi-gan said. She always did have the best advice.

AkaYona Ladies Week 2019 - Festival

Iguni normally didn’t attend these tournaments. A flash show put on by King Il to let warriors both seasoned and fresh show off and use their skills in an era that otherwise did not let them. It was curiosity that made her decide to come with her husband and two sons this time, and what she heard about she had to see with her own eyes.

The heads of the tribes were very often part of nobility. If sons weren’t succeeding their fathers as generals, the generals were passing their positions on to the strongest nobleman they had ties to. They married equally esteemed women and continued an esteemed bloodline. It was how she married into the Fire Tribe’s Kan family and simply continued with life and tradition.

However, every once in a while a general shook things up, but only once in a while. Iguni had certainly never heard of it happening in recent years. The Earth Tribe general had taken a commoner as a wife. A women who came to his castle as a mere gardener.

She was curious.

“Excuse me, may I offer you a cup of tea?” a soft, cheerful young woman asked from the side. She wore an equally radiating yellow and pink silk robe with a white tunic bordered in gold. Her hair was pulled back in a simple hairpin adorned with painted flowers. She appeared to be one of Hiryuu Castle’s court ladies dressed up for the festivities. She accepted the offer and watched as she walked away, gasping as the young one nearly tripped with the tea tray in her hands.

As the young woman left her mind, Iguni focused on spotting the families of the other generals. Ahn Jun-gi was present by himself, though that was par the course. He never brought his daughter, and his wife never seemed to want anything to do with him. General Mundok’s party was just getting seated. His adopted grandson was expected to put on an impressive show, or so she had heard from the grapevine.

When she spotted General Geun-tae, the same young woman who had served her was pouring him a cup. To her surprise, she then proceeded to sit next to him. Briefly, before he stood up and headed towards the preparation era for participants. The young woman laughed and smiled, happily interacting with the folk in the Earth Tribe stands. An even younger woman who appeared to be an actual waiting lady sat next to her.

Throughout the tournament, she could see the mistakes she made. Shooting up from the seat to cheer her husband and Earth warriors on. Attempting to get out of her seat, only to be coaxed by her lady-in-waiting to sit as she left to get whatever it was she needed. Having a sense of grace that came more with being soft-spoken than being forcibly dignified. Slumping over and appearing outwardly bored. This young woman oozed an air of freedom that was being caged.

“Have you seen Geun-tae’s wife?”

Iguni turned to see her husband standing next to her. When he arrived she didn’t know. Between the matches and observing the Earth Tribe stands she hadn’t heard him slip through.

“Yes. She appears rather young,” Iguni trailed off.

“Indeed. And far too filthy. A gardener!” he said mockingly. “Geun-tae was always an obnoxious brat, but even I expected more of him.”

“Her upbringing is apparent,” Iguni spoke up, “but she appears to be adapting very well. She’ll be indistinguishable from any other noble woman in no time.” She said nothing more and fanned herself.

He snorted a laugh before walking away, allowing Iguni to exhale an aggravated sigh and snap her fan shut. She called her own ladies-in-waiting forth, giving them instructions to gift the Lady of the Earth Tribe with flowers and a silk red robe as soon as the tournament was done.

The young woman who had it easy comparative to her, being part of the more relaxed Earth Tribe, was still part of Kouka’s sometimes tumultuous nobility. She would face the negatively judgmental stares, scrutiny far taxing than if she was already a woman in the noble class, and she only wished the best for her in her journey.

“Oh,” she paused as she prepared to leave for intermission, “I never caught her name.”

“Yuno of the Earth Tribe,” a lady-in-waiting answered.

“What a cute name for an equally adorable woman.”

Bye!

I’m leaving in a couple days--both the country and Tumblr. My stuff will still be here, but at least for this summer (and possibly beyond), I won’t be. The reasons are manifold: -- I want to float away, carried by the wind, basking in the sunshine, doing a juice cleanse for the mind away from the internet~~ -- A bunch stuff with real life still needs to get ironed out, and it’ll require a lot of flexibility -- Which means I likely won’t have much time or consistent internet for the next several months -- I really want to focus on my own original work without distraction

People irl and online have asked if I plan on moving to other social media to talk about my adventures, and at the moment I don’t have plans. Maybe someday I will. In the meantime I like to point people to my dedicated blog of the past where I documented tons of adventures. At that time it was sort of part of my job to go out and have a great time and share that with the world, but I’m at a point now where I’d rather live more privately and stay focused on learning the ins and outs of my new hospitality career, which I’m really, really grateful for. I want to get into and stay in a healthy routine, and I also plan to practice tea ceremony more seriously, begin flower arranging lessons, and find myself a new dojo to continue naginata. Maybe I’ll add judo too, depending on my schedule (and budget)! So, if you miss me, please picture me being awesome doing stuff like this or whatever:

But speaking of new careers and doing awesome things, I expect the break from the internet to be really, really helpful to help me focus on my writing career! You know, that one career for those books that don’t exist yet. Again, if you miss my creative works, please picture me like this and mentally cheer me on:

Do I plan to keep following AkaYona? Yes!! Even though there are online options now, I do enjoy buying (and recycling, haha) the magazine! But as much as I still like it, my enthusiasm has died down a bit, so I’ll probably go back into being a private fangirl like with most of my other objects of fandom. And I am so disappointed that I won’t really be in a position to try to get a spot at Kusanagi’s signing event in Tokyo this summer. >.<;;;

So... we’ll see how this social media break goes, I might be back later this year, or I might not. It’s also possible I’ll fall off the face of the planet. In which case, you’re welcome to picture that this happened:

I can’t think of anything interesting to ask right now, and idk who to tag either, but I’ll answer the questions, so here goes! :D

1. If you were transported to another world, what kind of place would you hope to end up in?

Hmm my society brain is thinking of a nice place where people are treated well by others, where governments do not suck and where discrimination doesn’t exist. My simple-minded brain is thinking magic and bunnies and lots of food...so I guess a combination of all of that? :’D

2. Do you believe in aliens?

Sure thing! I reckon there are most likely other life forms out there, ones that function a lot more differently than we do.

Umm sometimes I like to sleep in till 9 or so, but when there’s uni I’m up by 6 or 7, depending on whether I start at 8 or 9 on that day

4. How do you define “expensive”?

I suppose I consider anything that I think is overpriced is expensive. Bubble tea in Australia for example...and also the food at the campus cafe...

6. If you were free to be a citizen of any country, what would you choose?

No idea actually, I probably have to do a lot more research to pick one @@

7. Spicy or sweet?

I can barely tolerate spicy food, my face gets really hot and my skin reacts to it a bit, so sweet it is :’D

8. What’s your aesthetic?

My friends describe it as ‘basic’, which I suppose is kinda accurate? I do like pastels and the look of denim (though I don’t like wearing it). Other than that, I also like flowers and...bunnies, to the surprise of absolutely no one 🐰 I have several bunny shirts

9. If you were transported through time/space, when/where would you want to end up?

Can I end up in some fiction? Part of me really wants to end up in FMA/FMAB, so Amestris, because that alchemy seems like some really interesting stuff. But at the same time...there is some intense stuff going on there. Maybe I can just get transported to Japan instead, I’d love to visit there one day, or maybe I could end up in Korea to visit a high school friend of mine.

10. Have you ever tried writing or drawing a story?

*stares at akayona breath of the wild AU* it’s going to actually happen one day... Pip and I actually have an AU google doc, maybe we’ll end up writing something at some point

11. What’s something you want to be remembered for?

Ummm...not too sure. My plush bunny army maybe??? I guess I’m happy with being remembered as just...being a decent person? I dunno 😅

🍵Akayona Tea Time🍵

Today, I'm reviewing: SHIN-AH

Ingredients:

Earl Grey Bravo (earl grey & orange peel)

Earl Grey Moonlight (earl grey, orange, vanilla, & cream)

Cream Flavored Black Tea

Coconut Pieces

Blue Cornflowers

Marigold Flowers

Brewing Instructions:

1 tsp (5.96 g)

8 oz (236 ml)

212 °F (100 °C)

3 Minutes

Results:

Dark amber brew

Strong bergamot aroma

Deep earl grey flavor with a slight coconut aftertaste

Final Thoughts:

A very nice earl grey blend. The coconut did not show up until the end and the cream flavor was missing in action. I think there was too much citrus as well. Having double earl grey blends, plus the orange, was a bit much in my opinion.

Changes I Would Make:

Before I even knew about the fandom blends, I already knew that the perfect tea for Shin-Ah was Bella Luna. Bella Luna is an earl grey blend similar to the one that I presented here. There are two reasons why I would change it. One, because there's something about the flavor of bergamot and coconut that just feels homie and Bella Luna has a stronger coconut flavor. And two, because the Bella Luna blend is only available during the full moon, which is such a great call back to the character. Even thought earl grey moonlight is a good callback too, I just think Bella Luna tastes better.

1. get this dang thesis finished on time, like by the end of October...and then get said thesis published and then write at least ten other novels 2. travel to Ireland, Scotland, England, Italy, Spain, Japan, Korea, New Zealand 3. see The Silmarillion as a series of amazing films or as an amazing TV show 4. be the best aunt ever, and maybe have a family of my own 5. learn to do a freaking cartwheel (I never did as a kid and it is my most bitter regret)
