This isn't easy for me to do but I really need some help

Hi! My name is Lokes, I'm a Trans Actor/singer, I suffer from various mental illnesses including but not limited to Depression and C-PTSD, and will be working on a diagnosis for a few others that I believe I likely have.

I was accepted to the AMDA school of the preforming arts in Los Angeles California for a bachelor's in Fine Arts/preforming arts this year, and got as close to a full ride scholarship as much as I possibly could from a school that doesn't do Full Ride Scholarships.

Before I found this school I had no idea what to do with my life, I was stuck in a terrible rut and didn't even think I'd make it past age 18.

Now I have a meaning, a purpose, and a goal in life, and to reach that goal I have to start by going to this school to get the proper education in able to do so.

But my family, as I'm certain many others have, has fallen on extremely rough times, and I can't pay the rest of my tuition.

All I need is $9,000 to pay off my first semester, then once I'm at school they will be giving me a job, and I will be getting benefits that will be going towards paying off the rest of my tuition, as well as living out in Los Angeles.

I have been applying to Scholarships to no avail, and I don't have anyone who can co-sign on a student loan either because they aren't supportive of my venture in doing what I want in life (To quote "it's a dream."), or because they don't have good credit and will legitimately be turned down if we were to try.

So... Desperate times call for desperate measures.

I have made a Gofundme to try and raise the rest of the 9,000 I need for school, and thanks to the kindness of someone else I already have $20 towards that goal.

Please, even if you can't give, just sharing this around would be enough to help.

Anything you can do is more than appreciated. I know a lot of people are falling on extremely difficult times these days.

Doing an introductory post bc I’m bored and I have an hour to kill-

Hi! My name is Lexi (but I prefer going by Spinel for fun; either name works), my pronouns are he/him/they, and I live in the middle of nowhere in San Diego CA☀️

My current hobbies include mixed media art (mainly digital and traditional-sketchpad art, but I also occasionally paint, sculpt, sew/crochet, and I also started experimenting with felting), photography, performing in my school’s theatre productions, working with livestock, and raising show animals for Future Farmers of America (FFA), although I always send my animals to sanctuaries because I get too attached🥲

My favorite shows/movies/theatre shows include Steven Universe (SU is my otp), The Owl House, Inside Job, Kipo, Steven Universe The Movie, Into The Spiderverse & Across the Spiderverse, Hamilton, Tootsie(ignoring certain problematic aspects of its plot), A Transparent Musical, You’re A Good Man Charlie Brown, Heathers, and Wicked.

As obvious by my profile, I LOVE Spinel. Ever since Feb 2020, she’s been one of my favorite characters in media. I love the animation style used, the voice used for her, her story and character development, and the way her story is portrayed throughout the movie is so good and yet so heartbreaking.

I also adore her voice actress, Sarah Stiles. I learned about her through Spinel, and shortly after I got into Tootsie, her “You Can Ukulele With Me” album, Bleeding Love, The Crew, Billions, and of course “A Transparent Musical”, where I got the opportunity to get to meet her <3

My current goal is to graduate high school (just started my senior year today), and my hope is to move to New York City and attend the American Musical and Dramatic Academy to become a Broadway Actress. It’s definitely not gonna be easy, but I’m determined to make this dream a reality, so I hope you’ll follow my profile and join me on this journey 💞
