Romance is (not) dead
Ghostwriter was one of the most annoying ghosts Danny tended to deal with, ever since their altercation at Christmas their fights only continued to escalate.
However, the halfa swears that he didn't mean to tear up the little book Ghostwriter was writing for Valentine's Day. He may not have a partner for that year but he understood how important books were to the ghost, they were his obsession! Danny didn't mess with obsessions.
But a ghost angry with his obsession attacked won't listen to reason, so Ghostwriter trapped Danny in another of his novels. The halfa was seriously considering destroying the keyboard that was causing all his headaches but that would be quite awkward.
Now, he had faced this scenario many times before. The problem was, this was a fucking romance novel, and what's worse, someone got stuck with him.
The tourist, whose name was apparently Jason, also had free will, which made more sense when the rest of the people in Amity Park started acting like they were a couple.
Contrary to expectations, Jason seemed thrilled about the situation, even after he explained that it was the fault of a ghost. The man was offended when he told him that he would release them! He didn't even seem fazed by the fact that they had been forced to be a cliché couple.
Jason on his side was quite happy to have visited Amity Park, he heard stories about ghosts and since he had nothing to do during Valentine's day he decided to check it out. The ghosts not only turned out to be real but they were also helping him fulfill his childhood dream, it was amazing. The boy he had been matched up with was also cute.
That's how an excited Jason Todd and an incredulous Danny Fenton found themselves stuck acting out all the typical scenes portrayed in books, from love at first sight to a confession in the rain. At least one of them seemed to be having fun.

When you're autistic with only two hobbies those hobbies become the primary sources of mental health but then the autism puts pressure on those hobbies to provide the feel good chemicals and then you feel overwhelmed with the pressure of making the Right Choice™ so you don't pick either and you end up not doing any of your hobbies and just lie there with paralysing boredom AND indecision 🧍

People need to stop using a "Karen" as a rebuke when it doesn't even merit the vitriol.
Asking a question or stating confusion on a story point? Not it.
Some of us have lives and other obligations that mean we don't have the time or spoons to back read over the whole story or even a few chapters as we want, when we are stealing precious minutes back for ourselves as it is.
If I was a Karen, I would be Boomering it up in retirement and wouldn't have this time crunch problem. I would re-read over everything because I would have more time than I know what to do with.
We can't all be your sort of entitled, whiny hypercritical bitch who has all the time in the world to be, K8lynnne.

I love your political analysis but can you say more about why you think harry and matty’s worldview is the same? There’s definitely some fan consensus that matty is the devil and harry is princess peach so interested in what you think
Matty Healy is right that Harry doesn't want to say anything. (this tweet really demonstrates the point - because Harry is not saying anything in any of those photos. Using slogans and symbols is not the same as saying something yourself). But I think what's even more astute is the author's Wario comparison. Because if Harry stepped away from slogans and symbols to say what he believed and if Matty Healy stepped away from provocation, irony and meta statements to say what he believed - then I think they'd be saying basically the same things.
Obviously they couldn't be more different in how they choose to navigate the political world (but possibly so much of a mirror image that it reflects their similarities - I haven't fully developed this idea). But underneath that - if I was to try and base the question - what do they actually think, based on what I know - all I can see is an uncanny level of similarity.
My knowledge of the two isn't equal. I strongly suspect I've written more about Harry Styles political actions and beliefs than any other person. And until this month I only learned about Matty Healy accidentally. But I think this is the right sort of imbalance - because it's much quicker to learn about the beliefs about someone who is always talking than it is to someone who is very good at keeping himself to himself.
Matty Healy was brought up understanding that everyone hated Margaret Thatcher and Harry wasn't and that does have an impact on what we see. But otherwise the parallels are really noticeable:
They're both seen as left-wing, but they're pretty centrist. If they supported the redistribution of wealth, or even increased access to universal services, they've had plenty of opportunities to express that - and they've avoided associating themselves with actual left-wing movements
They're both pro-choice and believe that things should be better for women. They have a tendency to sometimes come across as condescending in their expressions of solidarity, which I think has a lot to do with the fact that they're thinking mainly of their fan base. They are both affected by and believe some pretty fucked up ideas about masculinity that have an impact on the way they relate to women.
They both believe really strongly in LGBTQI equality - and express this belief with relative ease.
They are both concerned about climate change. They use the same organisation to address the climate impact of touring - I would call it greenwashing.
In 2014-2015, they both showed that their worldview had been impacted by the Islamophobia of the culture they grew up in
They have both made anti-racist statements, but have also shown how much their worldview around race is steeped in white British culture and that they're willing to continue racist practices.
I strongly suspect that the only reason neither of them have played Tel Aviv is that they know people would be mad.
I do find those similarities fascinating, and the ways that they've masked by different approaches to communicating(that in some ways are different coping strategies for the same pressure). In some ways fans who view them as Princess Peace and the devil are sort of reflecting those ways of navigating pressure, but there are far more interesting things going on.

Demon King LMK AU
yknow what I'ma try and do my best to ramble and people can ask me questions from there! If yall want more lemme know! I have many thoughts and a whole doc on this bad boi!
Tumblr media
Everything will be under the cut!
So my OC Jay is placed in Wukongs spot as the great sage, he's a stone monkey demon, he uses his shapeshifting/glamour to make it look like he has horns and a skeleton tail, all purely for the aesthetic. He has many titles much like actual Wukong. He is MK’s mentor/technical biological father and will do anything for his friends and family… even if it means leaving them or dying. He has an on and off fling with Spider Queen (The shipname is DemonicWebs <3) . He’s also a CEO of a pretty big video game studio that helps him work on his video games and he also has a movie studio that makes movies for him.
Jay originally when MK was created was super excited and felt so ready to have a successor, he even prepared everything he wanted to teach MK. Eventually, however, he started feeling inadequate and felt like he couldn't truly protect and raise MK properly. Which was taking a toll on him. That anxiety got worse when someone (Macaque) anonymously sent a fancy letter to Jay that threatened him and his kid which scared Jay down to his core, which caused him to hide MK's demon qualities, erase MK's mind, and put him in Pigsy’s noodle shop, for his own safety.
When MK is an adult he makes regular appearances at Pigsys Noodles to check in on his son, in disguise of course. Although he gets a sort of Tony Hawk treatment where people know who he is but won’t believe him when he says he is Jay. Whenever he’s needed to make public appearances he uses his human disguise, For the movies and shows he’s been in his human disguise most of the time only showing his true form in front of a few select people. Once MK has the staff and is training under Jay, Jay is actually pretty quick in admitting about being MK's actual dad and it takes a while for MK to think about Jay's reasons and if he should forgive Jay or not for essentially abandoning him.
Jay and Macaque adopted each other as brothers, since they were technically the 'weird kids' in monkey society and mostly bullied because of it, and used to always say they were blood-related. As kids they did everything together and practically dragged each other everywhere. Eventually doing the immortality quests, their training, and getting weapons and armor together. Macaque was Jay's right-hand man even before Jay became Monkey King. Whenever they left Flower-Fruit Mountain, they would look into other people's lives for stories that they could perform for the monkeys and demons of Flower-Fruit Mountain, although they often exaggerated details and made some things up to make the stories interesting. That’s actually how Macaque found out he liked performing shadow plays and it's how Jay figured out that he liked being an Actor. Jay and Macaque were essentially dramatic theatre kids.
Jay quite literally paused his journey to the west to give Macaque a memorial service after killing him for Tripitaka's survival. Jay pulled everything he could in the moment to properly mourn his brother, giving Macaque the best funeral any mortal or immortal could ever get. Once Macaque revived and found himself under one of his favorite trees on FFM, he's sorta had a feeling of favor ever since and the need to get Jay back for it.
Macaque in this AU has several jobs; he works at his dojo training kids and adults alike, does his shadowplays, and has a little part-time job at a quiet cafe of sorts. He eventually interacts with his customers too, once he realizes that he likes this job. He gets a lot of tips since his voice is so smooth that it calms just about anyone that he’s talking to. Although he tends to humble any Karens that come in when he needs to, he tends to out-Karen them most of the time. He goes viral every time he humbles someone, in or out of work. His boss is fully on Macaque's side when it comes to all this as he manages to keep calm and can take a hit or two if need be.
Mk's Seasons 1+2 conflict/arc in this AU is panicking over his new role as hero and his identity crisis. That solidifies his identity enough for Seasons 3+4 to be about MK getting his powers and staff back from LBD/defeating LBD, and then becoming insecure about his ability to protect and be there for his friends which results in him becoming a bit clingy after Azure Lion withers away.

It honestly took me a while after learning Spy to realize, I don't care to play the frontline most of the time. It's a place where you need to be aware of everything, from enemy frontliners, enemy pick classes like Spy and Sniper, and your general position to all of them on any given part of the map to things like your aim, your resources, how the other players are moving in order to aim at them.
Frankly, it's a lot, so in order for me to play I gotta reduce the number of things I gotta think about. In essence, make it so I'm not a priority until I make myself a problem (and making myself a problem is what I love doing). For Spy and Engie that's pretty straight forward I just stay away from the fight in one way or another, for Pyro it's just a matter of hanging around targets with more impact than me (i.e. the Medic and their pocket).
I have somewhere in the neighborhood of 500 hours in TF2, though it's only in the last 200 or so where I've really hit my stride and gone from Noob to Playable. I still have a long way to go to catch up to the people who've been playing since 2009 and have 10,000 hours in the game total and thousands of those hours being dedicated to their main. Though I take it as a mark of pride and self improvement that, despite being way late to the game, I still can keep a mentality where I want to learn from my mistakes and get better at this game; a team based PvP FPS.
Growing up I pretty much hated these types of games since it would get me to my emotional boiling point really quick. I got frusturated because I couldn't even play games like this because some folks with hundreds or even thousands of hours kept wiping me off the map before I could even learn the basics and I wasn't in a place mentally where I could learn from those mistakes.
So thank you Team Fortress 2, for being around long enough for me to get to a place where I can play games like you to the point where I stop being a problem for my team, and start being one for the other team

of course I would get invested in one more The CW show before the network became a shadow of its former self...
...a show I started watching in season 1... lost track of... have never fully caught up on...but here I am watching new episodes live & catching up on the network's app...
...which is incredibly reflective of my relationship with The WB/The CW shows over the years actually...
Nancy Drew season 4. A fitting swan song so far for the The CW itself, as it was:
Play me that cursed-lovers, slow-burn, long-live-the-friend-group, musical-chairs-of-who's-dating-who, hot-parents-with-backstory, small-town-with-personality, filmed-in-Vancouver, everybody's-beautiful all-of-the-angst-but-also-snarky-one-liners, tune once more, with feeling.
Nobody does it quite like you anymore
#nancy drew#nancy drew cw#nancy x ace#the cw#past my prickliness over the cw handing me a cactus with nancy drew's name on it that was not the book series adaptation I've longed for#(...mostly / as much as I'm ever over anything/ you're forgiven not forgotten!)#it's hitting that nostalgia note and delivering on tropes i like perfectly#the cw was always my old reliable#when there was nothing else i wanted to watch#i could throw on a random episode of Vampire Diaries or The Originals#watch with no context to what was going on that season#and enjoy it#it was my network of buffy and charmed and supernatural all of which had a massive influence on my taste and what i want to write#(and not to leave out angel: let's just assume it included there with 'buffy')#i absolutely love roswell (og) & felicity though i only watched them years after they aired on dvd#gilmore girls. hart of dixie.#I never really watched jane the virgin or crazy ex-girlfriend but those shows were there as 'something I'll prob like when i have time'#everwood! how could i forget everwood with treat williams' recent passing!#for a while i watched every single superhero show they were airing#(smallville and birds of prey even way before the arrowverse)#each year I've always kept an eye on The CW pilots#(whatever happened to that Little Women in the zombie apocalypse starring BBC Robin Hood's Maid Marian?? i still want that unaired pilot)#it could be goofy it could be low-budget it could become a shadow of itself or go in directions i did not want to follow (a la The 100) but#man it's always been my jam#i suppose there'll be the Canadian shows they'll be reairing but#i don't think we'll quite see the like of this again#I'm enjoying it while i can!!

Sometimes I forget that real people read my writing.
Then I'll get comments and wonder why I posted something so awful.
And THEN I'll remember that (probably) nobody here cares if it's not perfect, and I'm writing for myself before I write for other people. And then I'm okay. XD

You know, the moment I encountered the manga and anime of Dr. Stone, I just couldn't help but fall in love with it. I loved the characters, the science, the storyline, the comedy, everything.
I love the entirety of it. Even the sad and touching moments like the few amounts I put below make me love the series even more.
Such as Suika growing up with no one around her for 3 years and reviving Senku and the gang again.
The scene where Tsukasa sees his sister again.
Taiju and Yuzuriha entire emotional moment with Senku being dead.
I am now rambling, but basically, I love Dr. Stone and I recommend people to watch it or read it even if you can not understand the science in it.
