The more I think about Cody in the tbb s2 trailer the more insane I feel about it and the more sorry I feel for him.
Put yourself in his shoes. He’s got something in his head that’s not letting him think straight, let alone make his own choices. That something in his head told him to shoot and kill the love of his life (or if you don't subscribe to that, one of his very closest friends). He no longer has Obi-Wan or Rex or anyone else to lean on for support: he’s all alone. He doesn't have anyone he can trust.
And so, in desperation, he is talking to the one person in his life who he still has a bit of a connection with - Crosshair, who he helped as best as he could before the war ended through his involvement with the Bad Batch (I'd love to know the full canonical extent of how much Cody had to do with the Bad Batch, and have many thoughts of my own about it, but that's for some other time).
"Rumours are, more and more clones have been questioning the order."
Cody's a smart man. He knows he can’t say what’s really on his mind, that he’s feeling terrible for having carried out Order 66, that he knows it was wrong, that he feels too much guilt and regret to ever voice or be able to put into words and that the pain is eating him alive. So he takes the tactical approach. He is testing Crosshair - probing the waters and seeing if perhaps he can trust him, wanting to know if he's not alone. If there are others struggling with the consequences of Order 66.
But Crosshair says the exact opposite of what he needs to hear - whe says that those clones are then traitors, like the Jedi.
And Cody, who is known for his loyalty, who is meant to set a prime example to those around him, who is in charge of so much and has shouldered so much responsibility for all his life - and who is now struggling with this unimaginable, unspeakable grief and guilt, is confronted with this sudden realisation of being a traitor and it’s so incredibly confusing and heartbreaking and all he wants is to talk to Obi-Wan, but he murdered Obi-Wan and he really is lost and alone.
He can't trust anyone. He can't trust Crosshair, sure, but what's worst of all is that he knows he can't even trust himself and his own mind.

Holy moly, I drew this ages ago and forgot to post it!!
So
Drew this over a month ago because I was dissatisfied with the other ones I did back in, what, November?
Obviously the proportions still aren't 100%, and I'm still not super proud of them. Definitely still too elongated. But it's certainly better! It is genuine improvement, even if it isn't up-to-date improvement!! So y'all get to see it! Enjoy!

i was talking to my therapist last week about how i'm kinda excited but also equally apprehensive about starting grad school this fall because yes, i so so desperately needed a gap year otherwise i think i literally would have killed myself and/or had a breakdown big enough to land me in the hospital, and even beyond that i just needed to figure out a more concrete plan of what i'm going to do with my life in general -- while all of that is true, and i'm glad i took the gap year for it, i'm also apprehensive because i genuinely feel like an entirely different person than i was even at this exact point in time last year, nevermind anything earlier than that. it's only been a single year of me being out of school but my life has changed so dramatically, mostly for the better, and my whole personality has flipped on its head, it's just going to be so fucking weird going back to the same school, the same campus, potentially seeing my old friends around. augh

You know I actually never realized this before-- so you remember how tri. retconned Original Chosen fighting and defeating Apocalymon into them fighting the Dark Masters instead? (To be fair it is possible they could've ALSO fought Apocalymon afterwards but that isn't the Epic Final Showdown tri. decided to depict so it's borderline a retcon)
If the Original 5 Chosen fought and defeated the Dark Masters once in the distant past, doesn't that mean that
A) They survived and hid for just a few thousand years until they came back for a Round 2 at conquering the world
B) They died, were reborn, and THEN went for the Round 2
You know I've just DYING with curiosity, desperately wanting to know if any of the villians in Adventure would ever be reborn after Adventure, right. Because according to the lore they should, right (unless their data was like somehow absorbed by Apocalymon and destroyed along with him (though that would still leave Piemon as an exception (and Vamdemon but we all know what happened to him) and the sole survivor))
And what tri. has essentially done is confirm that most of them should, in fact, be reborn sooner or later
But that just raises the question of if Apocalymon was lowkey driving the Dark Masters nuts (as suggested by the novels), and if tri. was kind of about destroying the last remnants of Apocalymon's data (within Meicoomon), if they were reborn this time would they be free of Apocalymon's influence
If so, would their third (?) lives then turn out different? Would they still try to take over the world all over again for funsies (this time just without Apocalymon giving them power etc), or were they just the same as Ken was in Zero Two? I mean Apocalymon was supposed to be a spawn of Milleniummon and Ken was infected with Mille's malice directly, so while it may have been a bit filtered it was still the same source of malice and corruption, right
And like regardless of how their next lives would turn out, shouldn't the kids (OR AT THE VERY FUCKING LEAST GENNAI) like realize that this is going to happen eventually and like. Go and see if they can find them (either as their pre-Ultimate forms or even when they're still in their Eggs) and try to figure out what to do BEFORE shit hits the fan
I JUST

brightwall was built on trying to figure out a cure for the infection and its split into the church and hospital. the church hunts down and kills things that were taken over by the infection and the hospital focuses on trying to heal infected people who havent been taken over by it yet. thats like the surface level what everyone thinks of when they think of brightwall but theyre actually doing some fuck shit behind the scenes.
they use prayers and incantations taken from the nomads who worship the god of death to protect themselves from infection
and the hospital is kind of, kidnapping the people that come to them? some of them atleast. they want to use the infection to get closer to the gods and become like them. so a lot of patients end up at experiments that get tossed out into the bigass swamp that surrounds the academy. the academy was also founded after cinder broke out of prison and died
the church at one point tried to go find her prison and get inside of it to see if there was anything interesting or useful but since the labyrinth is built to make people go crazy they gave up and left
theyve also got some internal conflict cuz the church and hospital both think theyre better than the other. sparrow ended up studying in the church for a while cuz he knew they were doing something weird but couldnt figure it out. eventually he left the academy and later they straight up kidnap him like. twice

i've been trying to Do Tumblr Correctly and only Like posts so I can return later and Reblog them but I don't remember to do the Reblogging and some of the Likes were just in case I did so my Likes page is as unhelpful as it was before but now I also feel the loss of Liking things just to show whoever posted it that that I saw it.
Also I must say I am, in general, not a fan of the Tumblr Use Rules that you only find out about when people tell you off for not following them.
