men are so annoying my god. they have some of the dumbest takes on women's sports its obvious how disingenuous they are. "wnba players are jealous of caitlyn clark" and all most of them were saying was that caitlyn has a lot to learn playing professional basketball because it's a genuinely tough game and they hope she succeeds. men just keep belittling how skilled a lot of wnba players are and have been until caitlyn clark. they make fun of the wnba without watching it and then act like they know everything and declare caitlyn the sole saviour of the wnba like we haven't had legends like Elena Delle Donne or A'ja Wilson dominating the game. EMBARASSING!
ALSO they are RIGHT to complain about the racism since most brand deals and sponsorships for wnba players are white women. im happy that female athletes are winning and getting money, but it's telling when 70% of the basketball league are black women and most of the sponsorships are held by white women.
the way these goons take out the nuance and the humanity when discussing women's sports and reduce it to infantile squabbles of jealousy just shows how underdeveloped their brains are. like i know you men like inventing drama out of nowhere, but can you just stick to discussing stats? you're so cringe fr.
anyways!
I can't wait to see Stewie for New York Liberty on the court! Las Vegas Aces, Chicago Sky, Indiana Fever and the Washington Mystics are about to give us one hell of a season coming this May 14th. I'M SO HYPED!
Here are the women to watch out for (IMO because I'm biased and not in order of skill)
#1. Breanna Stewart (Stewie) (New York Liberty)
Tumblr media Tumblr media
I pledge allegiance. Sincerely. She's so fun on court and weaves between players like that scene in Korra when she had to learn air-bending by evading spinning doors. I can't wait to see her play! (Next to her wife I'm her no# 1 fan don't joke around with me). Check some of her playing out here.
Also, here's a video of her eating spicy wings and barely surviving (while telling her story):
youtube
#2. Angel Reese (Chicago Sky)
Tumblr media Tumblr media
After an amazing career in college basketball, Reese finally got drafted to the Chicago Sky WNBA team early this year. She's gotten a lot of hate for being justifiably boastful about her skills but she's remained a strong leader for her teammates and had a positive impact on girls and women everywhere. This is her first season in the WNBA and you can expect a show from her! Check some of her highlights here!
Here's a video explaining why she's so freaking iconic:
youtube
#3. Aaliyah Edwards (Washington Mystics)
Tumblr media Tumblr media
One of the top picks of this year's WNBA draft, Aaliyah has been a star player for UCONN for years. She is one of the highest rated draft picks of the season! This will be her first season on the WNBA playing for the Washington Mystics. Her rebounds and offences are amazing to witness. Watch her highlights here.
#4. A'ja Wilson (Las Vegas Aces)
Tumblr media Tumblr media
One of WNBA's modern GOAT'S. A'ja IS INSANE. She intimidates everyone on court and then the court itself. I literally saw the basketball hoop shaking when she looked at it during one of her games! I swear. It peed itself. Her wingspan and strength make her so formidable like y'all just have to watch herrrr!! Oh yeah, and she won the championship and several MVP titles. Check her out here!
#5. Caitlyn Clark (Indiana Fever)
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Does she really need an introduction? Her career in college basketball has been spectacular and special for women's sports everywhere! She was breaking records in HIGH SCHOOL! This is going to be her first season in the WNBA and more eyes than ever will be on the game because of her! Check some of her highlights playing for Iowa here.
#6. Rickea Jackson (Los Angeles Sparks)
Tumblr media Tumblr media
While playing small-forward on her college team, Rickea made a name for herself as one of the most aggressive offensive players in women's college basketball today! She's strong and fast and alert and is genuine fun to watch. You won't want to miss out on her debut into the WNBA for the LA Sparks! Watch her game highlights here.
#7. Kelsey Plum (Las Vegas Aces)
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Kesley Plum is just one of my favorite athletes of all time! She's so dedicated to her team and the people in her life and it shows. Her joy is so infectious! She is also an incredibly, impressively strong and SKILLED athlete! And she was a big reason why LVA won the season last year. (And hallelujah she's divorcing her dumbass husband rn! hopefully the dead weight makes her an even stronger player!). Watch some of her highlights here.
AND CHECK OUT THIS VIRAL VIDEO OF HER THROWING A T-SHIRT TO HER FATHER WHO IS FAR UP IN THE BLEACHERS!
youtube
#8. Sabrina Ionescu
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Sabrina and Stewie are an unstoppable duo! Watching them play is electric for me! WHEW! Sabrina has made WNBA history with idek how many records! She is the top in the league in assists, triple-doubles, and steals. SHE'S INSANE!!! SHE'S FUCKING RABID!!!! See for yourself here!
Watch her break the all-time three point record like it's nothing here:
youtube
#9. Cameron Brink
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Cameron Brink debuts in this season of the WNBA for the Sparks! Cameron has had an amazing college career, but is especially known for her strong defence (and being the god-sister of Stephen Curry). She's bound to have a promising season. Watch some of her highlights here.
The strongest teams (IMO) seem to the Aces, the Mystics, the Sparks and New York Liberty. But there are also strong players in teams like Indiana Fever, Dallas Wings and Minnesota Lynx.
If you don't know which team to support, you could just pick your favourite athlete and choose their team. Some people like underdog teams and some people like top dog teams. Based on last season, I'd consider Indiana Fever an underdog team and Las Vegas Aces the top dog team (they won last season). In terms of best teams? LVA players are SEAMLESS. They move like water and it's magical to watch. But so are the Liberties and the Mystics! I genuinely don't know who to pick between those three.
If any of you gyns watch WNBA, please tell me who you're supporting this season and why!
Anybody who wants to start the season with me in May 14th, comment or reblog and maybe we can organize a discord for it! I'd love to watch this with you guys! And I'm all up for team rivalries.

So Das Conk Creet Baybee numbers are out and she uh. Reaches 4.5k defense just by herself huh. Wonder what use that gets but probably *some*
I love her, she's a gag operator
Tumblr media
This looks absolutely baffling until you realize Cement's main purpose is to be funny.
She's a mole girl. Her hulking physical strength means she's carrying around a 500 KG shield and a huge ATK stat. Her Skill 2 gives her the funny meme number (+420% DEF) which inflates her DEF to a gargantuan 4238 at maximum stacks, the highest DEF in the game. On top of that she also has a max 24% (32% with module upgrades) physical damage resistance, a godlike physical tank.
Except she didn't apply to be a Protector. She's a duelist. She's supposed to be fighting, not tanking. She can only block one enemy at a time while blocking them better than anyone who ever blocked that isnt Mudrock. But only one at a time.

ok what do you think every character in ofmd's highest dnd stat is?
Oooh ok let's get going. Ed and Stede are both very long and the others are rather short.
Ed- ok so I think Ed is definitely maxed out in both intelligence and wisdom. I think he's actually got a surprisingly low charisma. He just has expertise in intimidation and proficiency in deception and maybe persuasion. But more likely his player is looking at that persuasion skill and asking can I make an intimidation check instead.
Now if I was playing a d&d game and the assignment was play Ed in d&d I would give him a high charisma because I would stat him out as a lurker of the deep warlock BUT I think in canon where they're all rogues and fighters his charisma is ass.
Stede- Stede's difficult to stat out. I think most of his stats are probably pretty bad but he has the lucky feat. And some other means of making sure he roles well. He's not dexterous, I'm not sure on his strength, his constitution seems middling, his charisma is hard to pin down because everyone initially hates him (implies low) but he frequently wins people over with the power of friendship (implies high) but I'm leaning towards low on charisma because the winning people over is through persistent whimsy rather than true people skills. They become begrudgingly fond of him because he's impossible to get rid of rather than because he's charming is what I'm saying. He's a good problem solved he thinks on his feet and he's got a good insight which makes me think high wis but also every survival check he makes fails in comical ways so maybe this is another situation of his proficiencies tricking me into thinking he's got a higher wis than he does. The one thing he does have going for him is that he's pretty book smart so I have to go with int by process of elimination, but again, maybe strength, that's kinda the dark horse stat for him he doesn't show it but he doesn't fail any strength rolls either. He knocked a guy out with a punch tho so maybe strength. But his defining trait is problem solving so maybe wis? Idk. Not Con Cha or Dex tho those ones are definitely negative modifiers. If I had to guess middling wis, middling but slightly higher int, most of his proficiencies are in int and Wis skills, medium to high strength but he never uses it.
Jim- Dex. I will not elaborate.
Olu- I generally see Olu as the Jack of all trades build. He's a well rounded individual. None of his stats are all that exceptional but he's good to have around because he's got no negative numbers, and can do it all if push comes to shove.
Lucius- Charisma. He's an artist and his most used non-technical skill is being good with people.
Zheng- Charisma. I feel like this doesn't need any explanation.
Archie- fighting your way out of a snake takes grit, not being digested, and quite a few successful checks to not pass out while holding your breath. Constitution.
Frenchie- Frenchie is very cerebral, but not very book smart. That being said artificers are intelligence casters so I'm going with INT.
Pete- strength or con. He's a silly little guy but his mental stats aren't great and he's not giving me dex vibes either. Human fighter build.
Fang- Strength. See him breaking a guy over his leg and him holding onto the side of the ship with the goat in hand for an hour at least so Ned Low wouldn't find them.
Roach- survival and medicine are both Wis skills and historically my DMs have made players role wisdom for cooking checks.
Wee John- Strength but Charisma is definitely second.
Buttons- Druids are Wis casters.
Swede- drank poison. Lived. Con.
Ivan- he wields an Axe which is a strength weapon so probably strength.
Spanish Jackie- Charisma or Dex, but she displays more charisma.
Calico Jack- Charisma definitely.
Anne- Charisma is the one we see her use but I'm gonna go out on a limb and say her Dex is better.
Mary R.- Strength on the Ivan principle. Definitely not charisma
Mary B.- Commoner stat block with proficiency in painters tools
Izzy- Strength. But much like Stede this is a process of elimination. His Constitution is the worst Constitution we see in OFMD (Izzy the spewer), his Charisma is ass (see everything about him) his wisdom is so bad he can't succeed on an insight check to save his fucking life (and his life has depended on it) intelligence is not so good, Dex is good given how often he lurks in the corner unseen and appears places and the thing he does to Stede's shirt in 1.02 but the beginning of the duel with Stede is the most clear instance of a character using a versatile weapon with their strength stat I've ever seen so I think his strength is probably equal to or better than his dex. Also all the things we see him teaching Stede in 2.05 are strength and dex skills so I think that's where his skill set is.
Damn this crew is not a dexy bunch. Jim said "I'm playing an assassin rogue that throws knives" and everyone else said "alright let me not step on your toes then"

Architect by @moss-and-marimos VERSUS The Eradicator by @frnletorres - Round 2 set 1
Tumblr media Tumblr media
The Architect- Description:
The architect is a modified survivor slugcat, and so the amount of food pips would be similar to survivor but at least some of them would be required to be carnivorous. This is in order to sustain the energy output used by the slugcat's special ability, this being that they can weld things with their hands. They also have more physical strength than survivor and would most likely do 2 spear damage instead of one. This is in part because they are able to weld spears together to make them larger and more powerful, as well as helping the player to move around the map more easily. They would be bad at swimming, but because of this ability are able to more easily traverse terrain requiring more complicated parkour.
Story:
The Architect is a purposed organism made by Sewn Ends In Lilacs (one of my iterator ocs) to repair an ancient iterator that she found out about. This other iterator was built so early on that the ancients didnt know how huge of an issue the rains would be, and so was built without a retaining wall. Because of this, his structure is falling apart from beneath and around him, and is a similar state to moons in canon, though more overgrown rather than flooded. The course of the campaign if it was actually a game would be traveling from Lilacs' can to the can of Digital Dandelions, the broken down iterator, to repair his puppet and bring it back online, and then to connect communications between him and lilacs. Though this likely wouldnt be a part of the actual game, the architect would then focus on the long task of repairing and updating DD's structure.
The Eradicator- Description:
Stats: Needs 7 (10 max) pips to hibernate. Can only eat corpses, with batflies giving 1/4 pip and baby centipedes/noodleflies one pip. Starts with the glow and the mark. Can dual wield, has 1.5 spear damage and has a stronger maul than artificer. Can also throw spears upwards. Heavier than survivor. Regular lung capacity and swim speed. Slightly slower than survivor when walking, but crawling and climbing speed is the same. Can do very high and long jumps however, and even leap vertically, allowing it to reach high places without having to backflip. Longer slides.
Abilities: It can secrete a sticky substance from its hands, allowing it to: Temporarily climb walls, with a meter depleting everytime you climb up and recovering as long as you’re not on a wall. Craft bombs and bomb spears with cherrybombs Cling onto big creatures, letting you maul or stab them before being shaken off. It has a thick skin, making it harder to get stunned, giving it more time before being incapacitated by predator bites, and a small chance to survive spear hits. It can hold items with its mouth, with the drawback of not being able to eat or maul while doing so.
Campaign: The campaign would take place on a new map, composed mainly of an iterator and its city with a connection to the void sea through a mining facility under it. Most of the campaign would be spent in the city, divided in regions and with a focus on verticality and climbing, similar to metropolis. In exchange of not having to deal with the rain while in the city, and besides the day/night cycle, the shelters in each region will not open until a specific number or type of creature are killed. Once enough kills are achieved, that region will be “cleared out”, permanently opening its shelters, reducing its creature spawns, and unlocking the gate to the next region. The rest of the regions (Inside the iterator, under it and on the surface) function as normal. There would be a high quantity of vultures, introducing more variants of them (such as juveniles), with the final region being a vulture nest with a final boss at the highest point to end the campaign.
Story:
They where created by an iterator in response of his city being overwhelmed with vultures and other creatures, with its main task of being basically pest control. Without getting to deep into said iterators lore, the reason he chose a slugcat for the mission is he already had experience working with their species, using them as workers to maintain his structure. The Eradicator can either attempt to fulfill its mission, or dip and take a swim in the void sea.
Fun Facts:
While it doesn’t really affect its abilities or story, its kind of a slugcat and lizard mix, shown by its frills and coloration. Also is genetically engineered to hate birds.

Grailfinders #329: Sakamoto Ryouma (Lancer)
Tumblr media
today on Grailfinders we’re building the best argument for a completely superfluous Grailfinders episode, Sakamoto Ryouma (Lancer)! it’s Sakamoto, but again! in-game it’s a stronger version of the original, but here we take all the builds to level twenty regardless of their rarity. what I could do to differentiate this build from the first stumped me for a while, but I think I’ve hit on something.
Ryouma’s still an Echo Knight Fighter to summon his wife as a bonus action, but now instead of a monk and a rogue, he’s a Lore Bard to learn some buffing spells for oryou’s super-saiyan mode.
check out their build breakdown below the cut, or their character sheet over here!
next up: you better watch out, you better watch out, you better watch out! you better watch out!
Ancestry & Background
I won’t bore you too much here, it’s exactly the same as before (except for one thing). Variant Human, so that’s +1 Wisdom and Charisma, Stealth proficiency, and instead of that UA feat we’re getting Magic Initiate for some Druid spells. Primal Savagery is how oryou will be attacking most of the time now, using her acidic claws instead of your piddly strength score. you also embrace modern technology like weather stations with Druidcraft, and Oryou can keep you safe thanks to her Protection from Evil and Good. Ryouma’s still a Soldier though, so that’s some History and Intimidation proficiency for you.
Ability Scores
this one’s 100% the same. highest to lowest- Charisma, Dexterity, Wisdom, Intelligence, Constitution, Strength. I would love to be able to stat up oryou this time around, but sadly Ryouma’s still the main servant.
Class Levels
1. Fighter 1: this Ryouma’s a bit more martial since he’s a knight class, so he’s starting off as a Fighter. this means his starting proficiencies are completely different, getting proficiency in Strength and Constitution saves, as well as Insight to see through political bullshit and Animal Handling to stretch the definition of “animal” to its breaking point. and “handling”, for that matter.
also, starting as a fighter gets us oryou’s Fighting Style earlier, so pick up Unarmed Fighting, just in case those claws don’t work out. if you’d rather grab something for Ryouma, I’d just go with Two-weapon Fighting and reflavor a rapier as a light spear, with a shortsword in his off-hand.
you also get a Second Wind once a short rest, giving you back some HP as a bonus action thanks to the power of oryou’s healing spit. …she does really have healing spit, right? I didn’t just hallucinate that while forcing my way through the event?
2. Fighter 2: second level fighters can make an Action Surge once a short rest, adding an action to your turn so you can fight like there’s two of you. because there is.
3. Fighter 3: as a third level fighter you become an Echo Knight, letting you Manifest Echo as a bonus action. now oryou can float around in her own space without using your action to move, as long as she’s within 30’ of you whenever your turn ends. it has a good AC but only one HP, so expect to spend your bonus action bringing oryou back a lot. while she’s out you can swap places as a bonus action, and you can attack and make attacks of opportunity from her space. primal savagery doesn’t count as an attack for this, so I guess oryou’s relying on her fists when she’s not hanging around you. that’s disappointing, but we’ll find a way to make her awesome later on.
also, you can Unleash Incarnation once a day to make an extra attack from the echo’s position. if you want to let oryou use a dex weapon, I won’t tell anyone, promise.
4. Bard 1: bouncing over to bard gives you proficiency in Persuasion, as well as the ability to cast Spells using your Charisma. you can also give Bardic Inspiration to your allies Charisma Modifier times per day, letting them add a d6 to any one attack roll, save, or check they make in the minute after you hand it over.
to be more specific about spells, you have Blade Ward to be protected by oryou physically with resistance to weapon damage, and Mage Hand to have her carry random stuff around, for your cantrips. you also get spells like Distort Value to be a smooth-talking bastard that can convince a whole town to sell him their rice supply, Heroism to make everyone else more ardent supporters of restoration, Feather Fall so oryou can save your frail ass from falling, and Thunderwave so she can punch people so hard they go flying.
5. Bard 2: second level bards are Jacks of All Trades, so now you’re at least half-proficient in every skill. you also have a Song of Rest, so you can add more health to your party over short rests. your gf with one hit point will be grateful.
you can also use Unseen Servant now; in case you need to send oryou off on some errands. a vastly, vastly weaker version of oryou, but an oryou none the less.
6. Bard 3: third level bards can learn up on some Lore, giving you an extra three proficiencies, like in Deception, Arcana, and Athletics. this is still Ryouma after all, did you think I’d forget deception? this is also the level you get Expertise in two skills, doubling your proficiency bonus in Insight and Persuasion.
you also get second level spells like Gift of Gab. Ryouma’s good with words, but you probably aren’t. at least, not as good as he is. with this spell you can undo any unfortunate wordings and rewrite your last six seconds of dialogue.
when you want painful dialogue, you can use Cutting Words to spend inspiration on weakening a creature’s attack, check, or damage roll. if your wife only has 1 HP, she’ll need some protecting too. only a little.
7. Bard 4: fourth level bards finally get an Ability Score Improvement, so you can bump up your Dexterity for better spearing an better dodging.
you also learn the Friends cantrip to force your way into conversations, and the Aid spell for our first taste of healing. is giving your echo an extra 5 HP a good use of a spell? god no. could it be cool? maybe! at least you can also give that buff to a couple other friends at the same time.
8. Bard 5: at fifth level you are a Font of Inspiration, so your inspiration dice refill on short rests as well as long ones. they’re also d8s now, so they’re more effective over-all. on top of that, you get third level spells like Mass Healing Word to top off the whole party in one go.
9. Bard 6: sixth level bards get Countercharm, but that’s pretty much useless, we’re here for Additional Magical Secrets, a feat that I will never get tired of pointing out comes before the first magical secrets. basically, you get two extra spells, and they can be from any spell list. use Tidal Wave to send a little splashback at your enemies, and Primal Savagery again to use charisma instead of wisdom. it’s still tied to just you, but now we’re using your good casting modifier.
for his normal spell Sakamoto gets Motivational Speech, a slightly more offense-based heroism, because by this point Acquisitions Incorporated might as well be bankrolling this build.
10. Bard 7: seventh level bards get fourth level spells, and now oryou can finally set off completely on her own with the help of the spells Phantasmal Killer.  every turn the target has to make a wisdom save or they’ll take psychic damage. real simple, but real effective.
11. Bard 8: use this ASI to bump up your Charisma for stronger spells and more inspiration, and now you can Charm Monsters. I mean, you already charmed one!
12. Bard 9: ninth level bards have a better song of rest, and you can also use fifth level spells like Scrying. literally just. send oryou off to spy on people.
13. Bard 10: tenth level bards have d10s for inspiration, plus another round of Expertise! now you’ve got better animal handling and deception. you also get Thunderclap for a free oryou punch, and another round of Magical Secrets!
now you can Summon Draconic Spirit for a full oryou summoning with much more than 1 HP. they get a bunch of resistances, and she even shares one of them with you! on top of that even at the lowest level you can cast it at, oryou will be able to make three attacks each turn! if you just want uppies, you can use Freedom of the Winds to get a piggyback ride from oryou, giving you a flight speed, as well as advantage against being grappled, restrained, or paralyzed. oryou can also yeet you away from an incoming attack or spell, and if you land outside of its range, you take no damage. of course, this also means your ride is over.
14. Bard 11: remember how I mentioned Ryouma conned a whole town out of their food? now it’s time to use it. Heroes’ Feast gives everyone who partakes a panacea against disease and poison, immunity to poison and being frightened, advantage on wisdom saves, and increased HP, all for 24 hours. this is the benefit of being a 5 star.
15. Bard 12: use your last bardic ASI to receive the Gift of the Metallic Dragon. with this, you can cast Cure Wounds once a day for free or by spending spell slots, and oryou can shield you or your allies as a reaction, adding your proficiency bonus to their AC, and you can do that proficiency times a day.
16. Bard 13: thirteenth level bards get seventh level spells like Etherealness. for up to eight hours you can travel around the ethereal plane without having to worry about anything on the material plane, creatures or objects. this seems out of place for Ryouma, but tbf literally every servant should have this spell.
17. Bard 14: at level fourteen your Peerless Skills lets you add inspiration dice to any ability check you make. you’re two people, you should roll like two people. well, one and a half. you both have your weaknesses and it evens out.
you also get one last round of Magical Secrets, turning yourself into oryou in one of two ways! if you want raw power, Tenser’s Transformation gives you plenty of extra health and stronger attacks, but if you want a more thematic transformation, there’s always Draconic Transformation, giving you blindsight, a breath weapon, and wings.
18. Fighter 4: going back to fighter gets you yet another ASI, so bump up your Dexterity for more lancing.
19. Fighter 5: fifth level fighters get an Extra Attack each attack action, that’s two per turn, four with action surge, and up to five with unleash incarnation. sorry it took so long to get this, I just felt the dragon stuff was higher priority.
20. Fighter 6: fighters are awesome, so we get to end this build with another ASI! this time we’re getting the Gift of the Chromatic Dragon, allowing you to add elemental damage to your weapon for up to a minute, and you can react to gain resistance to one instance of elemental damage proficiency times a day. now oryou protects you from everything!
Pros & Cons
Pros:
you have a lot of Protection, so actually getting a solid hit in on you is tough. you have a pretty good AC, plus many, many ways to increase your AC or your save or reduce incoming damage.
you’re also great outside of combat, with tons of expertise in social skills, high charisma, and a way to add even more dice to your skill checks. you will definitely be the face of the party. either you or oryou, at least.
I know I bring this up every time, but flying is awesome. it nullifies most enemies, and it’s just a really cool way to get around.
Cons:
you need all that protection because you’re a politician, not a fighter. you have barely over 100 HP, so a sneeze will put you into power word kill range.
echo knight is super fun, but this time it’s hard to use in combat for us, since oryou’s in-character options for hitting anything are “attack with a -1 to hit” or “hope the DM is kind enough to bend the rules for you.” without a good way to deal damage, the echo knight stuff is just an easily popped balloon.
our biggest goals don’t happen until late game, so for most of the campaign your build will be more awkward than anything else.

Fic Stats Game
Rules: Give us the links to your fic with the most hits, second most kudos, third most comments, fourth most bookmarks, fifth most words, and fic with the least words.
@jackdaw-sprite thanks for the tag! I enjoy both being tagged in shit and doing the tag games! Let's fuckin gooooo! All data is from AO3 and does not include Tumblr information, nor stories posted only to Tumblr.
Most Hits: broken trust and the wounds hidden behind
This one is actually my highest by a significant amount! At the time of this post, it's at 6,463 hits. My number two story is at 3,814
Jack wasn't meaning to snoop in his son's room when he found a box of medical supplies and a USB with a tag that said IF I DON'T COME HOME. Danny’s secrets revealed, Jack is desperate to earn his son’s trust, to earn the right to this secret he stumbled across. After almost two years of unknowingly hunting his son, is Danny's trust too broken to heal?
Second Most Kudos: by your grave (the monster we made)
This one is second for pretty much all stats!
Maddie knew Danny kept secrets, it was a topic they didn’t discuss. But when she sees scars she knows he couldn’t have, she knows she can’t keep pretending. She just needs to figure out those scars.
Third-Most Comments: the walls you hide behind (I saw the truth inside the real you)
I'm actually suprised by that one! It's only been coming out for the past two-ish weeks!
Jazz is tired of the ghosts, tired of her parents not doing enough, tired of Phantom's recklessness and her brother's persistent exhaustion. When she yells all of her frustration at her parents after nearly getting killed by a ghost, she gets sent to Vlad's mansion in Wisconsin for the weekend - where she's offered a chance. She could have the ability to fight back, protect her brother and her town. Jazz leaps at the prospect. When she returns to Amity Park at the end of the weekend, it's with abilities and strength of her own, and she's fueled by anger and disdain. And she's got her eyes, first, on Danny Phantom.
Fourth-Most Bookmarks: Welcome to Intro to Ghosts
Man I really should update that fic shouldn't I?
Sure, turning sixteen was supposed to be a big year regardless, but this was a little beyond what Danny had expected when he'd both been told he was now king and then asked to be a teacher for the Intro to Ghosts class while also being a junior in high school. Now he has to juggle a secret identity, being a superhero, doing centuries worth of old paperwork Pariah didn't do, his own schoolwork, AND his students/classmates schoolwork! This'll be fun. Or catastrophic. Hopefully fun.
Fifth-Most Words: healing the wounds we hid
This is the sequel to broken trust, mentioned earlier! It's actually going to be my second highest word count (it's full draft is roughly 38k, but for where I am in posting, it's at number 2!) Once it's posted by your grave (the monster we made) (also referenced earlier), will be the actual number five.
Least Words: fang u for ur help
At a paltry 345 words, this is the shortest fic I've posted to AO3. It's a silly like DannyMay thing bc the idea was funny and didn't need to be any more than it is.
Danny has fangs and questions. DannyMay2023 Day 16: Fangs
Tags: GAH I HAVE NO IDEA WHO'S BEEN TAGGED AND WHO TO TAG. Ummmm. @scarletsaphire @lexosaurus @strawberrycamel, and anyone else who wants to!

My D&D Character Build for Charlie Morningstar
Tumblr media
Princess of Hell who loves to sing and dance while proving redemption is possible for the damned.
The purpose of this build is to create a character who can support and defend others while taking care of herself. I'm creating this build based off what I've seen in the Hazbin Hotel series and per what's available in D&Ds.
Long post with spoilers below.
Race: I went with Tiefling. While Charlie is half-angel, and I was tempted to go with Aasimar, Tiefling suits her better and works with the classes she'll go into.
Tieflings get +2 to Charisma and +1 Intelligence.
Charlie gets Darkvision for 60 feet
Has automatic resistance to fire damage (save for magical fire).
She also receives Thaumaturgy which she can use to create fireworks and incase the volume of her voice for 1 minute.
Also, she gets Hellish Rebuke which allows her to attack a creature with hellish flames as a reaction to being attacked. The creature must make a Dexterity saving throw. It takes 2d10 fire damage on a failed save, or half as much damage on a successful one. Charlie regains this spell after a long rest.
When she hits level 5, she gains the Darkness spell. She can create a magical darkness of a 15-foot-radius sphere. The darkness spreads around corners. A creature with darkvision can't see through this darkness, and nonmagical light can't illuminate it.
Tumblr media
To match her role as Princess of Hell, I set her with the Noble background.
She gains proficiency in Persuasion and History.
Stats (in order from highest to lowest)
Charisma: 1st. This will be Charlie's top stat as she enjoys singing her feelings, though she does have a hard time convincing others to believe in her dream of redemption.
Dexterity: 2nd. Charlie is quick on her feet whether it's dancing or prancing across Pentagram City to meet the angels.
Wisdom: 3rd While Charlie believes in the best of people, she still has a hard time reading people. However, she does catch on when it becomes obvious if something is wrong. Far from her top stat, but should not be her lowest.
Constitution: 4th Charlie has taken some serious hits from angels and Adam and kept fighting. Not her best stat, but shouldn't be her lowest either.
Strength: 5th Try to keep this state at 10 or more to avoid Charlie wielding the trident at -1.
Intelligence: Dump Stat
Tumblr media
IT'S A HAPPY DAY IN HELL!!!!
Classes
We're going to start Charlie off in the Bard to make good use of Charlie's high charisma while helping out her allies.
Charlie gains proficiency in Dex and Charisma Saving Throws.
Bards get three skills to be proficient in. For Charlie I would choose:
Acrobatics
Performance
Investigation
Level 1 - Bard 1st Level
Charlie will receive Bardic Inspiration. As a bonus action, she can grant an ally a 1d6 towards an ability check, saving throw, or attack roll. She has as many of these as her Charisma modifier and these refresh after a long rest.
She also has access to the Bard Spell List using her Charisma modifier for Spell DC and Spell Attacks.
The spells I would choose are listed.
Cantrips
Dancing Lights - Charlie can create four torch size lights within 160 feet which create light in a 10 ft radius. Think fireworks. She can move these lights as a bonus action on her turn.
Friends - Once casting this cantrip, Charlie gets advantage on all Charisma checks at a creature that isn't hostile towards her.
Level 1 Spells
Color Spray : (More Fireworks) Charlie can cast this spell to blind creatures in a brilliant display of light. Roll a 6d10 and that's how many creatures hit points she can blind.
Healing Word - Charlie can heal a creature 1d4 + casting modifier (Charisma) within 60 feet. At higher levels it can heal additional 1d4 per spell slot.
Unseen Servant - (Think Razzle or Dazzle) an invisible being is created that can perform simple tasks (serving a meal, folding clothes, lighting a torch, etc). As a bonus action, Charlie can command the being to move 15 ft and interact with an object.
Faerie Fire - (More Fireworks) Charlie can cast this spell to create a 20 ft cube of light. Any creature within that cube that fails a Dex Save is highlighted in light that grants advantage for any attack rolls against it and won't let them benefit from invisibility.
Tumblr media
Charlie has a lot of skills, but she hyper fixates on redemption.
Level 2 - Bard 2nd Level
Charlie gains Jack of all Trades. Charlie can add half her proficiency bonus, rounded down, to any ability check that doesn't already include your proficiency bonus.
She also gains Song of Rest which adds a 1d6 to Hit Dice used during a short rest.
Charlie also gains a new spell.
Heroism - Charlue can grant a willing creature immunity to being frightened and gains temporary hit points equal to her Charisma modifier at the start of each of its turns
Level 3 - Bard 3rd Level
Charlie gains Expertise. She doubles her proficiency in two skills she's already proficient in. Select Performance and Acrobatics.
At third level we're going into the College of Spirits subclass.
Charlie gains Guiding Whispers which allows her to cast the Guidance cantrip within 60 ft. Guidance grants an ally 1d4 to any ability check.
Charlie also gains Tales from Beyond. Spending a Bardic Die allows her to roll a 1d12 on a table that grants random benefits to an ally of her choice.
Charlie also gains access to 2nd Level spells. I would select:
Aid: Charlie can choose up to three allies and grant them 5 to their maximum hit points. The amount increases by 5 for each spell slot above 2nd.
Tumblr media
Charlie in the spotlight where she belongs.
Level 4 - Bard 4th Level
At level four, Charlie gains Ability Score Improvement. Go ahead and put both points in Charisma to make her spells and abilities more effective.
Charlie also gains a new spell. I would select:
Calm Emotions: Charlie can suppress strong emotions of any creature within a 20 ft radius sphere. Creatures within the zone must succeed on a Charisma saving throw, though can choose to fail this save. Any creature that fails can suppress any effect that's charming or frightening them. As an alternative, it can end a creature's hostility, but effect ends if they are attacked or harmed or witness an ally being attacked or harmed.
Level 5 - Bard 5th Level
Charlie's Bardic Inspiration increases from 1d6 to 1d8.
She also gains Font of Inspiration which lets her regain all spent Bardic Inspiration after a short rest.
Charlie gains access to 3rd Level Spells. I would choose:
Mass Healing Word: As a bonus action, Charlie can heal up to six allies 1d4 + Charisma Modifier. At higher levels it can heal additional 1d4 per spell slot.
Tumblr media
Charlie is willing to fight to protect her Hotel and friends.
Believe or now, we're taking Charlie into the Fighter class. Fighters gain proficiency in Shields and Martial Weapons. In the fight against Adam and the Exorcists, Charlie fought with a shield and a pitchfork (which we'll say use the trident stats).
Level 6 - Fighter 1st Level
Charlie gains Second Wind. As a bonus action to regain hit points equal to 1d10 + Fighter level. Charlie must finish a short or long rest to regain this.
Charlie also gains a Fighting Style. Select Protection which allows Charlie as a reaction to impose a disadvantage on an attack roll against an ally within 5 ft as long as she has a shield.
Level 7 - Fighter 2nd Level
Charlie gains Action Surge which lets her perform a second action on her turn. She regains this after a short or long rest.
Tumblr media
Charlie is pretty good with the shield.
Level 8 - Fighter 3rd Level
At 3rd Level Fighter, Charlie can go into a Martial Archetype. Select Bannernet.
Charlie gains Rallying Cry, whenever she uses Second Wind, up to three allies within 60 ft gain hit points equal to her Fighter Level.
Level 9 - Fighter 4th Level
Instead of an Ability Score Improvement, we're going to give Charlie the Shield Master feat which allows her to:
When she attacks on her turn, as a bonus action, she can use her shield to shove an enemy within 5 ft.
She can add her shield's AC bonus to a Dexterity saving throw against any spell or harmful affect that affects only her.
When she succeeds on a Dexterity saving throw to take half damage, as a reaction, she can use her shield to take no damage.
Tumblr media
Don't forget, Charlie is half angel
We're leaving Fighter behind to go into Class that will not only give Charlie more spells, but also give aid to her friends.
We're going into Warlock, hence Charlie does get her power from her father, Lucifer Morningstar.
Level 10 - Warlock 1st Level
Charlie gains two Cantrips from the Warlock Spell List
Eldritch Blast - (This is a MUST for any Warlock class) attacks with a burst of energy causing 1d10 damage on a successful hit. She can fire more beams of energy at higher levels. Two at 5th and three at 11th.
True Strike - Charlie can gain insight on a target's weakness within 30 ft, giving her advantage of her next attack against that target.
Charlie gains two new spells from the Warlock Spell List
Expeditious Retreat - After casting this spell, Charlie can use a bonus action to dash.
Hellish Rebuke - When damaged, as a reaction, Charlie can retaliate with 2d10 fire damage. The target must make a Dex save or take half damage.
We're going to choose the Celestial patron for Charlie from her father's side.
She gains two more spells and Cantrips from the Celestial Warlock Expanded Spell list.
Cantrips
Light - Charlie can touch an object causing it to glow bright in a 20 ft radius, and dim in another 20 ft.
Sacred Flame - Charlie can create a flame light radiance on a target. The target must make a Wisdom saving throw or take 1d8 damage. The damage goes up at 5th and 11th levels.
Cure Wounds - Charle can heal a creature 1d8 + Charisma modifier within 5 ft.
Guiding Bolt - Charlie can make a range attack against a target dealing 4d6 radiant damage, and the next attack roll made against this target before the end of her next turn has advantage.
Tumblr media
If only Charlie would let her angry side out more often.
Charlie also gains Healing Light. She gets a pool of d6s equal to her 1 + Warlock Level. She can use these d6s to heal an ally within 60 feet as a bonus action. She regains the die pool after a long rest
Level 11 - Warlock 2nd Level
At 2nd Level Warlock, Charlie gains Eldritch Invocations. Choose:
Eldritch Sight - Charlie can detect magic at will allowing her to see any magical influences around her.
Devil's Sight - Charlie darkvision extends to 120 ft and she can see through magical and non-magical darkness.
Charlie also gets a new spell. Go with Protection from Good and Evil - she chooses a target to be protected against affects from aberrations, celestials, elementals, fey, fiends, and undead. (namely Angels). Any attack from a type of these creatures are at a disadvantage.
Leve 12 - Warlock 3rd Level
Charlie gains Pact Boon. Take Pact of the Chain so Charlie can summon a familiar (like Razzle or Dazzle).
She gains a new spell. Since she can now see through magical darkness, take the Darkness spell which lets her create a 15 ft radius of darkness in an area.
Tumblr media
Charlie can command Hell while having divine powers.
Level 13 - Warlock 4th Level
As for Ability Score Modifier, let's go ahead and max out her Charisma Score to 20. If it's already maxed out, then round out any odd number scores.
Charlie gains a new cantrip, take Blade Ward, which grants resistance to piercing, slashing, and bludgeoning damage for one turn.
As for her new spell, take Hold Person, on a failed wisdom save, the target is paralyzed until it succeeds on the saving throw on its next turn.
Level 14 - Warlock 5th Level
Charlie gains access to the 3rd Level Spells. Choose Intellect Fortress, granting herself or an ally advantage on Intelligence, Wisdom, and Charisma saving throws against along with resistance to psychic damage.
New Invocation, take Gift of the Ever-Living Ones, as long as her familiar (Razzle or Dazzle) is 100 ft, whenever she is healed, she can gain the maximum hits from the dice roll.
Level 15 - Warlock 6th Level
With Radiant Soul Charlie gets resistance to radiant damage! And when she casts a spell or attack that inflicts fire or radiant damage, she can add her Charisma Modifier to one damage roll each turn.
For her new spell, choose Dispel Magic. She can dismiss any spell effect of level 3 or lower. Any higher level, then she must roll a skill check using her Charisma modifier.
Tumblr media
Charlie in Hellfire
Level 16 - Warlock 7th Level
New spell time and this time from the 4th level spell slot. Shadow Of Moil lets Charlie wreath herself in flames obscuring her and whenever a creature within 10 feet of hits her with an attack, it takes 2d8 necrotic damage.
Another new Invocation: Investment of the Chain Master. This will make Razzle or Dazzle more effective in combat.
Level 17 - Warlock 8th Level
Another Ability Score Improvement. Max out her Charisma, and/or round out any odd number modifers.
New Spell: Banishment - She can attempt to banish a creature back to their plane (like Adam or Lute) if they fail a Charisma saving throw.
Level 18 - Warlock 9th Level
New spell: Commune with City - Charlie can gain knowledge of the surrounding area within 600 ft of her. It'll give her information of bodies of water, prevalent creatures, powerful beings, and influences from extra-planar beings.
New Invocation, let's make Charlie's Eldritch Blasts hit harder by choosing Agonizing Blast which lets her add her high Charisma modifier to the damage.
Tumblr media
Charlie never catches a break when it comes to her dreams.
Level 19 - Warlock 10th Level
Charlie gains Celestial Resistance, which gives her and up to 5 allies temporary hit points after a short or long rest equal to her Warlock Level + Charisma Modifier.
Also, new cantrip, take Minor Illusion - Charlie can create a visual or audio illusion.
Level 20 - Warlock 11th Level
Charlie gains Mystic Arcanum which is a spell she can cast once after a long rest. For this spell, I would select Other Worldly Form. Charlie can change her appearance to gain benefits such as:
Immunity to fire and poison damage or radiant and necrotic damage
immune to the poisoned condition or the charmed condition
Wings that grant a 40 fly speed
+2 to AC
All weapon attack are magical, and can use Charisma modifier for attack rolls
Can attack twice when using the attack action
And to top it all off, she gains one last spell, Dimension Door - she can teleport herself and a willing creature to 500 ft away.
Tumblr media
Sweet Charlie, Princess of Hell and our hearts
And there you have it. You have a powerful being who is capable of supporting her friends while using Angelic and Hellish powers. I tried to stick with spells I'm certain Charlie would use and similar to what we've seen her do in the show and pilot.

So is Specter proof the seaborne can evolve to survive oripathy, or is there another reason she's still kicking with a small country's worth of it in her spinal cord?
Ok, let's get something right first: Specter is not a Seaborn, she's Aegirian, specifically one from Aegir (as opposed to, say, Thorns or Weedy, who are Aegirians from Iberia). The Seaborn are deep sea creatures that have incredibly high and advanced adaptability capabilities, making them evolve at a staggering rate, and cannot really be understood too well from a human perspective, as their moral compass and behavior are completely alike those of humans (remember that we're using the Terran definition of human here). Specter herself is an Abyssal Hunter, that is, an Aegirian that underwent a special treatment in order to attain immense strength and durability. This treatment involves using something of the Seaborn (we don't know the specifics) in the process and it becoming part of the subject, turning them into a Hunter. This is practically a supersoldier program, made specifically to fight the Seaborn without having to use advanced Aegir technology, instead using good ol' metal like swords, spears, and buzzsaws. The reasoning behind this, as Gladiia explained in Under Tides, is that this is so the Seaborn don't evolve based on their supertechnology and thus become actually unstoppable; the Seaborn cannot evolve much from fighting adversaries using antiquated technology they already have accounted for in their evolution. In other words, instead of fighting the Seaborn with technology, the Abyssal Hunters bring raw stats to the table: Strength and durability from their Hunter procedure, and combat skill from their intense, grueling training and conditioning.
With that in mind, let's move on to the ask proper: We don't know yet, as Specter's case doesn't provide an answer to that. While it is true that the Hunters have some Seaborn in them, they are still fundamentally Aegirians, and Specter herself is an exceptional case aside from that: She is exceptionally durable even by Abyssal Hunter standards. Gladiia's talent suggests that Abyssal Hunters can tap into a regenerative factor naturally, but no one does it better than Specter, who naturally has the highest HP and strongest regen possible out of the Hunters. Gladiia's special skill is her speed, Skadi's is her strength, and Specter's is her durability, to the point where gameplay reflects this by giving both of her forms the best Immortality skills bar none and by a high margin compared to others (Guard Specter's lasts for 15 seconds, Unchained's lasts for 20 seconds).
As you said, there's enough Originium in Specter's spine to infect a small country if it were broken down (and this is no hyperbole, this is explicitly stated by Bishop Quintus, the one who did that to Specter in the first place). Even Quintus himself is impressed that somehow Specter has survived it, suggesting that her surviving it at all was not, in fact, part of the plan. In part, there's Rhodes Island to thank, as Kal'tsit herself saw to it that Specter received the best care possible, with only herself (and presumably Gladiia, Warfarin and Doctor) having clearance to enter her room (and technically, Skadi, but that's only because Kal'tsit reluctantly gave her permission after Skadi would just go in anyway), but besides that, there's also just the simple fact that Specter is just built different and is quite literally the best at not dying.
Incidentally, the experiments inflicted upon Specter might have had the aim to answer your question in the first place. We're still not sure what exactly it was that Quintus was hoping to achieve, but as he's Church of the Deep personnel, it definitely involved the Seaborn in one way or another.
Long story short, Specter in particular is really bad at dying and that's predominantly why she's still kicking.

Fellow monsters and maidens, it's the moment you've been waiting for...
Introducing your headliner, Enyo the tiefling bard!!
Tumblr media
This gorgeous art is courtesy of @ghostcasket! They were instrumental in helping me bring my beloved baby to life (please check them out, their art is incredible)!
Instrumental... bard... heh. That's funny. I'm funny.
Enyo has been my D&D character for almost a year now (she was born July 15, 2022), and today is her Tumblr debut as my new profile picture! I'm in love, what about you?
Backstory Beneath The Cut!
* * *
Enyo was born as Elena Darendaal of the noble house of Cormyr, where her human parents and tiefling seneschal attempted to raise her as objectively as they had with her human sister. Unfortunately, she was forcibly removed from their custody at nine years old and tossed out onto the streets, lest her infernal nature tarnish her family's reputation.
Bitter and heartbroken, Elena fled to the village of Redspring, where she was taken in by a nomadic music troupe. During her travels with them, she discovered she had affinity for music, and through her passion as a performer and entertainer, she slowly began to heal and grow confident. She no longer concealed her horns or tucked away her tail, and instead entered every new city with Pride. She changed her name to Enyo in an effort to finally put her painful past behind her.
When she turned twelve, her troupe had raised the funds to send her to a prestigious magic school to receive an education. After getting enrolled, Enyo met her best friends, embarked on adventures that were both dangerous and thrilling, and graduated after narrowly avoiding death during an attack on the school.
From then on, she attended a bard college and promptly began her career as a traveling musician. Her style was loud, full of energy and heart, and it swept through the forgotten realms. Though she occasionally met up with her old troupe, she mostly remained a solo act, and one of the realm's most influential new artists as the creator of the music form that would come to be known as stone 'n' tumble.
Though she'd become wealthy and wildly successful, she still kept in touch will her old friends. Each one found accomplishment in their own right, as owners of a bakery, logging company, exotic dance club, assassin's guild—you name it. Shortly after her twentieth year, she kicked off one of her biggest tours yet and had the chance to reunite with her dear friends for the first time in years. Unbeknownst to her, however, she would get roped into a journey that involved raising their beloved mentor from the dead.
And then? The rest was history. Quite literally, as the campaign is still ongoing! Each session is wilder than the next, and while I'm not certain of Enyo's future, she's holding her own quite well in spite of her squishy bardness!
* * *
Fun Facts? I Got You!
Currently, Enyo is a Level 7 College of Lore Bard, with the Entertainer background who fights with her longsword, crossbow and a lot of magic (though she prefers to help from the side rather than fighting on the frontlines)!
She's proficient in the flute, lute, violin, and drums, but she will attempt any instrument that's put in front of her. If she's not good at it, she'll keep playing until she's perfect.
Her highest stat is Charisma at 18 and her lowest stat is Strength at 10 (I swear, nine times out of ten strength is my dump stat, no matter who my character is).
Enyo has expertise in both Insight and Performance, which means she's flashy, sharp, and takes a lot of pride in her strengths. However, she can also be overly guarded, quick to act, and hypocritical. Her witticisms also only land about half of the time, though that's the fault of me as the player 😅
She owes her life to the elven wizard of the party (quite literally, I almost lost her early on), which is the main reason why she agreed to take up adventuring again.
Her familiar is a black squirrel named Kate, who's name is a reference to Kate Bush. This is because she met the squirrel after getting jumpscared by its rustling in the bushes, and managed to befriend it after a very high animal handling check on my part.
Stone 'n' tumble, in case you didn't pick up on it, is a play on words for rock 'n' roll. The name was improvised on the spot by the DM, and I later added that the name came from a performance that caused in avalanche in a nearby ravine with its overwhelming volume and power.
Lastly, Enyo uses her fame to advocate for the rights of tieflings and other monstrous races that are punished and discriminated against for the crime of simply being who they are. She refuses to be ashamed of her appearance and encourages others to embrace themselves as well. However, no matter how hard she tries, she's never been able to run away from her roots, and a part of her hopes that she'll be able to find her parents and sister again during her travels. Whether she'll get the chance to in this campaign remains to be seen.

What build would you make for Mozu or Hinoka?
Okay so keep in mind that when I build units I don't really do it in a "normal" manner, I kind play the game almost solely to make stupid builds no matter the time it takes even if I have to farm a lot. Furthermore I have a few savefiles so I often use some amount of skill transfer, not a lot but sometimes I grab a few skills on another save to not waste levels on another. I'll still give more reasonable builds after detailing my 20 steps plan to make a godkiller. Knowing that:
Mozu is very fun because of both her growths and her easy access to profiteer. She can be a good multi use units, with resource utility and offensive power. Her main weakness is that she is fairly frail, and will probably not be able to survive too many hits.
My last run had her as a Kinshi knight for a few reasons: it has the same solid luck as merchant, second highest outside of strategist (hardly viable considering that magic is the one stat she has a growth below 10). While it has an inferior strength compared to other classes, kinshi knights have both great speed and massive range (flying movement + bow range). And because they use the same weapons as the merchants, the transition after you get profiteer isn't too hard. I wanted to give her a special niche along that so I decided to be very stubborn and farm her in a class she is absolutely not good at: sorcerer.
By befriending Nyx, she get access to the dark mage, which objectively doesn't work for her, but I have too much free time. I got her to level 15 in the sorcerer class (because of how the game works you only need to spend 4 levels in that class if you swap at level 11) solely for one skill: bowbreaker. That along the speed she gets as a kinshi and her great luck makes her near impossible for bow users to hit. That made her a weird case of flying archer killer which I thought was very funny, I could throw her in the middle of a bunch of archers and they'd all have 0%. Kinshi knight provides the highest luck cap, which she'll reach pretty easily. With this she'll have at least 30% chance of producing money every turn for 7 turn. If you are lucky/willing to grind the DLCs, you can get Anna's bow which gives a massive +5 luck for a skill and strength debuff every attack (her skill should be solid by now, and she doesn't need to kill or even attack to activate her skill so you can just equip it on her if there is a turn she doesn't have anything to do). Along with that, I gave her a bamboo yumi that gets her +10 avo, further enhancing her dodgetanking despite its weakness (it's not the rarest weapon to get at the lottery or on lucky spaces, you'll always end up having at least one and you will probably get to forge it to have it stronger). Along with Air Superiority she'll get as a kinshi knight, she'll also be able to avoid flyers and especially other kinshi. From there, she has the speed to rarely get doubled, the most precise enemies will have at best 20% or so hit rates with her, and she'll be producing lots of money while also providing decent supportive damage. If you go that way aptitude isn't gonna help you much as you'll be at equal or higher level than enemies, so you can drop it. From there there isn't much to add, you can grab life and death from Master of Arms and bowfaire to increase her damage output dramatically using a bow, both are accessible with second , add a longbow to increase her range if you fear she can't dodge everything or chip an enemy she can't reach.
If you want a less time consuming and more "realistic" build (aka "for someone who isn't as obsessed as me and doesn't have too much free time), Mozu's main advantage is her high speed and luck naturally leading her to dodgetanking. The most avoidant class is swordmaster (innate +10 avo along a nice +10 crit): marrying Ryoma will let her access it along with giving aptitude to an already powerful second gen unit. Between a whooping 85% speed growth with aptitude, 60% strength, 50% HP and skill, she'll be a reliable dodgetank, especially considering her personal skill let her regain HP on forest tiles (among other tiles), which makes her a good bait. She'll have the skill to activate Astra fairly reliably, and life and death from the master of arms class would again make her damage output insane, along with swordfaire that she'll get while progressing as a swordmaster. If you're in Conquest though, the next best option is probably marrying Arthur to get her to be a berserker. She doesn't get the avo bonus of the swordmaster but nearly as much speed, insane strength, and her innate skill growths counters the poor accuracy of axes, along with a 20% crit bonus that goes well with her good skill. Her sniper line can help her in that class: certain blow alleviates the axe inaccuracy. I wouldn't say gamble is really worth it but you can try it if your Mozu has a consistent enough hit rate, and since she'll be using only that weapon axefaire is good. Now if you want to have her solely as a player turn based unit, once again, life and death will have her obliterate people. If you want to use her good speed and strong HP as bait however, getting strong riposte and sol can help with that. Sadly since Conquest doesn't allow much grinding outside of DLCs, you can't go too insane, but her only friendships options there are Effie which gives class that'll probably affect her speed negatively, or Nyx, which. Yeah, without even more grinding the skills that could work with her aren't accessible. If you count the Heirs of Fates DLC rewards, you can get speedtaker or strengthtaker, preferably the first for swordmaster and the second for berserker (those skills cannot be used at the same time so no use getting both on her), and if you make a revelation berserker, befriending Oboro
Now, for Hinoka. She's a bit trickier because she's the balanced "jack of all trades master of none" type of character. Her growth rates are all around 40 without class bonus beside her magic at 15 and her defence being a little lower than the rest at 35. That means she isn't really bad anywhere, but she doesn't really stand out either. She is the kind of characters that you might have on the map but realise soon that whatever she can do, others will do better despite having more glaring weaknesses than her. However her base skill, resistance and speed stats are good, and she always joins with a guard naginata which is a pretty rare weapon. So for her, we have solid bases

Man though, the way David's mind breaks towards the end. The way he hallucinates and goes crazy but he keeps on going because if he can save Lucy.. if he can save her then it means everything he has done from his mother's death MEANS something. And the way Falco and Rebecca go along with him even though they know he won't make it... Edgerunners is great.
It's about LOVE (and how capitalist hellholes consume and destroy what makes us human)
Spoilers for Edgerunners below
No really. What makes Cyberpsychosis so interesting an idea is that it's not actually a deal where "you put on too many robot parts and you'll go insane and violent because you're no longer human". Mike Pondsmith, the creator of the original Cyberpunk tabletop, explains it like so
"You have to have an inherent susceptibility, which (in the TRPG) is represented by the player's Humanity Stat. Humanity is not just a measure of one aspect of personality, but an overall measure of several elements including the subject's ability to emphasize and relate with others, their ability to absorb and rebound from mental and physical stressors, their ability to show compassion and flexibility to others, and whether they are able to balance their worldview through other methods."
What makes you human in Cyberpunk isn't your organic flesh, it's your ability to show empathy, understanding, and compassion for other people. The people who can emotionally connect with others can put up a stronger resistance to going mad from cyberware.
This is important to understand what the original Cyberpunk setting criticizes, because cyberpsychosis doesn't mean that the only people who go mad are the mentally ill, EVERYONE (barring exceptions) eventually goes mad with enough cyberware, even the most level-headed and compassionate people. We are told that living in a capitalist hellhole forces one through a gauntlet of physical and emotional stress every single day. Night City's megacorporate nightmare has made it impossible for anyone to truly be of sound mind.
____
David says that he's built different. He's one in a million. Even the Ripperdoc claims his affinity for cyberware is crazy and calls him Adam Smasher 2.0. but the toughness that David attributed to his physical strength was actually because of how he loved and was loved harder than anyone around him. to the point where it killed him as a person. He was someone with no dreams or ambitions for himself, only a tool to achieve the dreams of the people he loved before Night City killed them.
His Mom worked 24/7 to send him to a good school and even if he hated school and was bullied, he had straight As and set his sights on fulfilling his mom's dream of becoming a big corporate executive at Arasaka so they would no longer be poor. When his mom was killed in gang violence and he fell into a gang himself, he quickly came to see Maine as a father figure and made his new goal to ensure the success of Maine's crew. He even promises Lucy that he'll make her dream come true and take her to the Moon, even if she originally only told him that to trick him and hand him off to Maine to be killed for his cyberware.
It's what makes his descent into cyberpsychosis so dramatic. He's got maybe one of the highest Humanity stats on any character in the Cyberpunk setting and he still goes cyberpsycho because living in Night City means living a life full of unending violence and stress where you constantly need to be upgrading lest a random guy just blows your head off for no reason. The city keeps ripping his loved ones apart limb from limb and because he's David Martinez he assumes complete responsibility for not protecting them and vows to make their dream come true and while taking care of whoever's left until he's jacking drugs into his body every five minutes and putting on more and more cyberware just to keep up.
And even then, even after using his last immunoblocker and flying right over the edge of sanity where there's no coming back, he still wakes up to hold back Adam Smasher and help Lucy and Falco escape, because he still has to make sure Lucy gets to go to the Moon.
David dies defiant and in control of his mind out of love for his gang, just like how Maine did when he saw a frightened but determined David try to back him up against certain death.
It's about how love is what makes us human, and what a horrific nightmare a society must be where loving like that can be what dooms you.

edelgard von hresvelg : baldur's gate 3 au
taken from her canon world after a cataclysmic encounter with the immaculate one (aka. a giant white dragon) that ripped a rift in time and space (she'd be 23, taken from chapter 18 of crimson flower)
woke up aboard a nautiloid pod (most definitely tadpoled). however, the tadpole and her two crests interact in a concerning way: sometimes the tadpole amplifies the powers of her crests, which leads to her being in immense pain
in the forgotten realms, she'd be classed as a human oath of vengeance paladin with a noble background. by default she wields her axe, aymr (a powerful axe that's exclusive to edelgard only). her highest stats being her strength and charisma, her lowest being her constitution.
she can either be a tav type character or a companion. if acting as a tav, she's keen to get to know everyone in camp (mostly so she can psychoanalyze y'all lmao) , she's very goal oriented (trying to find her way back to her empire which unfortunately is hampered by the fact that she has a fucking worm in her skull) and is very much an "end justifies the means" type of person.
as a companion, you can gain her approval through being cunning, witty, kind to animals, ambitious, goal driven, being kind to children, anti-corruption, taking gale's advice during mol's lanceboard game etc. you'll get disapproval from her by picking meaningless fights, entertaining people's stupid cultlike religious bullshit, vocalizing any type of support towards shar or vlaakith (and honestly mystra too), denying gale the opportunity to become god, letting astarion ascend, killing karlach, leaving wyll in his pact with mizora
contrary to her pragmatic streak, she will not tolerate anyone trying to convince her to consume more tadpoles. she's revolted by them. and tbh, she won't fully trust you if you choose to consume another one out of your own volition. whilst she understands you're an asset, she wouldn't trust you lmao
you won't know she's the emperor of adrestia unless she reveals it to you ... which in fairness, won't take that long. she doesn't flaunt her status around but she'll make it clear she needs to find her way back to her realm. when your approval with her is in the medium to high range she'll begin revealing more personable things to you.

The Dubiously Needed, Unnecessarily Extensive Magia Record Stat Sheet Guide (Rarity)
This is a bit of a weird one to start with. Rarity…has absolutely no influence on a character’s canonical strength. It is a purely gacha-based mechanic, intended to sort characters for a gacha-based purpose. Really, it has no place in an OC guide. It’s not like we’re going to be pumping out mods with our own OCs tomorrow. (Though, if we do that, hit me up, I would be so down.)
However…a character’s rarity does influence a unit’s stats. So I felt like it would be wrong of me not to mention it. A 2⋆ unit and a 3⋆ unit with the same type and growth type will have different stats and that can be disorienting. So, here’s a quick overview.
A character’s base rarity can be anything from ⋆ to ⋆⋆⋆⋆. 1 ⋆ characters are generally not included in the gacha and are instead given out for free or bought in an event shop. 2 ⋆ and 3 ⋆ characters can be either bought in an event shop or rolled in the gacha. 4 ⋆ characters are almost always gacha-exclusive. In this context, stars determine a character’s rarity.
The more stars a character has, the stronger their base stats are. This can be evened out to some degree with Awakening, where any character can be raised up to 5 ⋆ with the stats to match. However, a character with a higher rarity will always have a higher stat total than a character with a lower rarity.
To give you an example, here are two units of two different rarities, but the same element, type, and growth type, at maximum Awakening. Keep in mind that this is without memoria, Spirit Enhancement or Attribute Enhancement.
Tsuruno Yui (2⋆, Flame, Magia Type, ATTACK Growth Type)
HP: 18,927
ATK: 8,552
DEF: 6,056
Touka Satomi (4⋆, Flame, Magia Type, ATTACK Growth Type)
HP: 21,019
ATK: 9,803
DEF: 6,072
Though Tsuruno and Touka both have Attack-focused stats, it is Touka with the higher Attack stat, as she has the higher rarity. She also has higher HP and slightly higher Defense.
What does this mean for character creation? Uh…well, it could mean something, or it could mean nothing. It really depends on how specific you want to be with your stat totals.
How you decide your characters’ rarity is totally up to you. You could rank them lowest to highest, based on their level of skill. Or you could make them all 4⋆ because you love them! This is totally valid! I have done the same thing many times.
As a final note, there is some difference between unlimited and limited 4⋆. This is another purely gacha-based designation. Unlimited characters can be pulled on any banner at any time, while limited characters are only available on a banner for a specified period. This does not matter for us. What DOES matter is that limited characters often have better stats than unlimited characters, because gacha games gotta make that money. Example part 2!
Ren Isuzu (4⋆, Dark, Magia Type, BALANCE Growth Type)
HP: 21,420
ATK: 9,128
DEF: 6,844
Kanagi Izumi - Vampire ver. (4⋆, Dark, Magia Type, BALANCE Growth Type)
HP: 22,524
ATK: 10,004
DEF: 7,016
As you can see, while Ren and Vampire Kanagi are both 4⋆, Vampire Kanagi has the higher total in each stat.
Not all of these differences are significant (Ren and Vampire Kanagi have like a 200-point difference in their Defense stats), but I wanted to mention it for any further discrepancies. Again, whether this matters to you or not is your own personal interpretation! I promise, nobody is going to yell at you if your unlimited OC’s ATK stat is 20 points past the unlimited threshold. They aren’t characters you can actually roll for, so balance is a meaningless concept and we're all just here to have fun!
