sometimes I think "I know so much about Greek mythology now!!" but then I try to make chronological connection, when and who was born/got married/killed/etc and my brain dies 😭

[OOC:]
Okay I think I'm ready to talk about that leaked light cone now:
I can criticize the potential continuity error it creates all I want, but god fucking damn it this image is too compelling for me to be even a little bit angry.
THIS is how you do a fucking light cone, THIS is how you take advantage of the inherently interesting concept behind them to deliver a deeper level of characterization. Very few other light cones in the game do that anywhere near as well as this one does, and I'm going to try my best to explain why. (although forgive me if I'm still a bit scatterbrained, this image makes me so goddamn emotional that it's genuinely difficult to think clearly)
It seems very safe to assume this is depicting Screwllum soon after he became sentient, experiencing the beauty of life and existence for the first time. The thing is, it isn't an entirely positive experience; he's noticeably damaged with moss, plants, and fungi growing all over him, which can't be comfortable (just imagining what that must feel like makes my skin crawl). He was probably left in this forest by some one (or some thing) that didn't give a singular fuck about him, that wanted him to deteriorate and be forgotten about.
And yet, his body language and the overall tone of the piece suggests that he doesn't mind. He's incredibly calm (the butterflies wouldn't be there if he wasn't, he's made himself a safe place for them to rest), looking at the viewer as if the "camera" has placed us in the POV of a small woodland creature, the way his head is tilted to the side implying a sense of curiosity and/or fascination.
The tone of this image and of the character as a whole is one of awe and wonder that doesn't shy away from the negatives. It's what makes Screwllum the perfect foil to Emperor Rupert I, because while they both began their sentience in a similar manner, abandoned by a cold and uncaring universe and left to rot, Rupert was consumed by its hatred and motivated by revenge, whereas Screwllum was able to see life for what it was, imperfect but worth cherishing.
The most impressive part about it, however, is that all of this can be inferred without even having access to the light cone's name or lore description (at least as far as I'm aware). The light cones I would have considered my favorites previously, "Something Irreplaceable" and "Shared Feeling", partially rely on the descriptions to be compelling, especially with the former example because the description is honestly my favorite part. The visual storytelling in this leak is on fucking point, and I can't wait to read the description because it'll probably make me love it even more than I already do.
Screwllum nation is winning with this.

Finally got around to watching Batman V Superman last night. Am I the only one who noticed that Batman killed, like, a lot of people. A LOT of people. 👀
Did the no killing rule get revised when Jason and I weren’t looking??? Cause we have thoughts and feels on the topic…

I've given up even trying to ask why Luke, Leia and the others aren't appearing in these galactic events, especially in a time period it makes most sense for them to be involved in. I dislike gratuitous cameos as much as the next person, but some fans don't seem to understand how glaring it is that these characters are absent.
But let's be honest, we know why Luke isn't there. Filoni of all people knows why and he doesn't care. It's what he wanted after all. If it means he can continue stealing from Legends stories like the hack he is, remove original trilogy characters and reduce their relevance for the sake of centering Ahsoka then who's going to stop him?
Not watching this show anyways or giving that transphobic lead actress more attention.
I've been mulling over this for days, even before your ask dropped in. I mean, who really knows how information is disseminated throughout the gffa but I 1) have a hard time believing that the Big Name Heroes of the Rebellion that we followed through the OT wouldn't even be mentioned wherever the New Republic is involved, and 2) have an incredibly IMPOSSIBLE time believing that Luke would not be on any Force user's radar. He is the unstoppable force and immovable object. If you're going to give us a story about ex-Jedi, Nightsisters, magic, and the Force, he is the one Force user you can't fucking ignore. I can understand Ahsoka choosing to actively ignore him for whatever reason when he could be such a powerful ally but I can't understand Skoll and Hati not even acknowledging that he exists on their Force radar. His absence, Leia's absence, Han's absence, Lando's absence, are gonna be so goddamn fucking loud when you're gonna get this fucking close to the New Republic and the likes of Thrawn and the bigger name Imperial remnants, you Felonious Clown.
I'm just here to take some notes on how this guy is making this Star Wars story such a Star Wars story while ignoring the contributions from the Star Wars story that started it all.

Even after all this time, it still baffles me that there are people who can treat Disney's additions to Star Wars as some kind of inevitable continuation of the original saga (which has been officially completed since Revenge of the Sith). I'll never understand how anyone can watch the six-film Lucas saga and then watch the Disney material (particularly the fake Sequels) and not notice or care about the glaring thematic and characterisation differences between the two. Or how anyone could just passively accept Disney streamlining everything into one single 'canon'—aka glorified fanfiction which has only been marketed as canon in order to encourage its mass consumption—despite the fact that it disrespects and even outright destroys the meaning of the story it claims to be continuing.
The fact that so many seem to have forgotten or perhaps never truly understood what the saga was originally intended to be—aka, two trilogies telling a single mythic story that perfectly mirror one another visually and thematically—and now only see 'Star Wars' as an eternally open-ended franchise, will never cease to break my heart.
