Sam loved y/n, so much so that Sam let her finally move in. Well rather, they made it official. She had practically lived with Sam for a year now, always sleeping over and leaving all her things around his house.
It was great, she loved waking up to Sam every morning and making him breakfast. She adored how he'd show up for some of her streams and talk to her fans. Sam was the love of her life, there's no doubt behind that.
But recently something was off.
It started off with a few overly creepy dm's, saying perverted things to her. She would block them but they seemed to never go away, assuming as they made multiple accounts to send the horrid messages.
But then she felt like she was being watched, going out in public became sketchy for her. She noticed a hooded man in the coffee shop she frequented or around the corner in the supermarket.
Then, it was getting really out of hand. She would receive random packages from fans all the time, opening them on her live stream and laughing at gag gifts. But it was odd to receive gifts on her front porch, when she regularly received gifts via a P.O. Box. She had opened one, regretting it to this day.
In the box were various pictures of her around town, heart shapes surrounding her face. On top was a letter, long story short, she realized it was a stalker.
Sam and y/n tried to figure out a way to put a restraining order, but couldn't due to the fact that they didn't know this said man's identity.
Unfortunately, enough was enough. All she could do was go on another live stream tonight, explaining reasons why she wouldn't be streaming anymore. She propped up the camera, Sam in the back for moral support.
"Are you ready?" She weakly smiled.
Sam nodded, reaching for her hand as she sat back down as many fans joined in.
She tried to put on her bubbly personality, attempting to welcome many of the fans.
"Hey guys," she waved to the camera. "How are you guys?" She asked, placing her other hand on her chin as she looked at the various comments.
Her fans knew her all too well, quickly recognizing that something was wrong.
'oh no, y/n you okay? you look sad :('
'woah, mom and dad look so serious!? Are we in trouble?!'
Y/n smiled at the concern, "yeah, guys you have all been bad," she sternly pointed to the camera. "Right sam? We gotta take away their Xboxes." She turned over to Sam, causing him to chuckle.
"Yeah guys, who shit in the kitty litter? The cat's shit is not that big!" He joked trying to lighten up the mood.
Y/n smiled, squeezing Sam's hand a little stronger as she looked back at the camera.
"Alright guys, Imma wait a little longer for more people to get in just so they don't miss anything." She announced, continuing to read the comments.
'mother is mothering'
'y/n, ask sam when the next video is coming out?!'
'y/n is so pretty guys :)'
She turned to Sam, "they're asking about your next video, babe." She pointed out. "I don't know, I've been put under a contract not to discuss any future videos guys." She put her hands up in defeat.
Sam grinned at her before looking up at the camera, "Well, Colby will kill me for saying anything, but we're working on something to record tomorrow actually." He raised his brows, pursing his lips a bit.
"You heard it here folks, Sam is not retiring." She joked.
As they were goofing off and joking around, the viewer count went up to nearly 50k. She was impressed by the amount, amazed by her followers.
"Wow guys, there's 50 thousand of you here!" She cheered, raising her hands up into the air. "So now that we have a lot of your attention, don't get too distracted by this beautiful face." She pointed towards Sam.
Sam dramatically covered his face, pretending to be flustered. "Oh, stop it guys!" He responded with a high pitched voice.
Y/n playfully smacked his thigh as she giggled, "Well, so this is sorta sad news guys," she began, trying not to look at the comments. "But this will be my last stream for a little bit, just there's been stuff that came up and it's no longer safe for me to stream. I would go more in depth but again, for our safety I can't really say why."
She held back tears as she glanced over to her comments, fans practically panicking.
'what?! noooo :('
'omg what happened?!'
'nauuur! I look forward to your streams :,('
Y/n gulped, holding back tears as she read the comments. "Yeah guys, it's only temporary," she sighed, Sam holding her hand as he laced his fingers with hers. "But it's just to ensure safety for me and my loved ones, it's only until this problem goes away guys. I just gotta say, I love you guys, you guys give me purpose and I'm so thankful for that, so I hope you guys understand."
She weakly smiled, reading the many comments of support and touched by their kindness.
"Well with that guys, I'm just gonna end it here," she sighed, leaning towards her computer. "See you guys, hopefully soon." She blew a kiss into the camera before cutting the stream off.
She let out a sigh as she sat back down in her chair, a creak emitting from it. Y/n looked over to Sam, who offered her a smile as he rubbed his free hand on top of hers.
"You okay?" he asked her, furrowing his brows as worry coated his voice.
She nodded weakly, "I will be," she replied. "I just hate to stop streaming, I really want this stupid stalker to like chill the fuck out." She groaned as she rubbed her face.
"I'm sure it won't be long," Sam tried to comfort her. "I mean he hasn't been around for a while." Sam shrugged.
Y/n couldn't help but stare off into the ceiling, taking Sam's words sink in, "That's true," she mumbled. "I've had stalkers before, but they were never this bad." She emphasized.
Sam understood her frustration, he knew streaming was everything to her. She worked hard to please her fans, streaming every other night practically. He loved that about her, how caring she was and worked for her fans even when days weren't as good to her.
"Well let's get some sleep, okay?" Sam patted her thigh, standing up from his seat.
Y/n groaned, throwing her head back, "This feels so weird," She grumbled, mimicking Sam's movements and walking towards their bedroom. "Are you still going to that haunted hospital or whatever?" She asked him, removing her sweatpants and sweatshirt.
"Yeah, but I can always stay here with you if you want," Sam answered, watching her movements. "I can always reschedule it." He offered.
Y/n threw on one of Sam's t-shirts, jumping into bed next to him, "No, no, I'll be okay," She declined, stabilizing her head onto her hand. "I don't want you to disappoint your fans, plus the cameras you installed really give me a lot more comfort." She smiled, her heart warmed by his gesture.
"Are you sure? I-I just don't know how I feel about leaving you here all alone." Sam sighed, pulling her close to his chest.
"Yes, I'm sure sam." She laughed a bit, laying her head onto his chest. She listened to his heart beat against her ear, she breathed in deeply before looking up at sam. "I love you, you know that?" She whispered to him.
Sam smiled down at her, placing his finger under her chin as he pulled her into a kiss. "I love you more." He whispered back, pecking her on her forehead.
The next day, she watched as Sam packed various equipment into his bags. But he wouldn't stop pestering her about his offer, her refusing it every time.
"Okay, baby I will call you when I land, i'll check the cameras often, oh, and update me every like hour," Sam commanded, his suitcase in hand as his backpack strapped to his back. "I don't care if you think it's annoying, I just need to make sure you're okay."
Y/n laughed at his demands, kissing him on the cheek, "I promise, but youre gonna have to worry about Colby in about two seconds cause it looks like he's gonna drag you away." She joked, pointing at Colby in the car.
Sam sighed, "He’ll be fine," He rolled his eyes playfully. "Okay, I love you like a million, please be careful, okay? Lock all the doors and keep the windows locked, I'll call Celina or someone to come and keep you company." He suggested, landing a quick peck on her lips.
"Alright, love you too," She chuckled, embracing him into a long hug. "Okay, okay, now you have a safe trip okay? And make sure Colby brings you back in one piece." She joked.
She watched as Sam ran towards the car, looking back every few steps as he blew her kisses. She noticed Colby rolling his eyes, impatient as is.
Y/n sighed as she locked the door, making her way to the living room. She dropped down onto the couch as she exhaled a breath. She looked down on her phone, deciding to check up on her socials.
She was surprised by the sheer amount of support she received, fans encouraging her. She smiled at the many comments, her smile soon fading away as she looked at the random drama article of hers.
Streamer Y/N L/N, goes on break cause of STALKER?!
She rolled her eyes, of course they're trying to profit on her vulnerability. She threw her phone down onto the pillows, standing up onto her feet as she made her way towards the kitchen. She figured she could distract herself and make something to eat. Usually when she was bored she would stream, but for obvious reasons she couldn't cure her boredom at that moment.
After she had made some dinner, she turned on one of her favorite shows. She decided a few episodes wouldn't hurt to catch up on, resting her head onto a few pillows as stared at the screen.
A season and a half in, she heard her phone ding. She picked it up, letting the phone turn on and the message displayed on her screen.
sam:
just landed! How are things over there?
Y/n started typing out her answer, trying not to make it sound depressing as it felt.
y/n:
great, i'm just watching some of my shows right now :)
It didn't take long for the phone to ding again, Sam's response delivered onto her phone screen yet again.
sam:
sounds good
Do you want some company? I could send Jake or even Celina over
y/n:
I think i'll be okay for now
I prolly will be up for a while anyway so i'll let you know
sam:
okay, be safe babe
I love you 300 million tons baby!!!
Y/n smiled at the text, seeming to miss her boyfriend even more now.
y/n:
well I love you 300.01 million tons!
She shut off her phone, tossing it back to where it last was. She blankly stared into the TV screen as she tried to focus on the show. Her eyes began to grow heavy, slowly beginning to grow more tired.
It didn't take long before she found herself sleeping on the couch, the random show adding as a background noise.
She awoke from her sleep, hearing her phone buzzing next to her. She fluttered her eyes, looking outside at the now dark night that had overtaken the evening sun as she slept.
She groaned as she picked up her phone, Sam's name displaying on her screen with his photo on it. She mentally cursed herself for falling asleep, forgetting to update Sam. Y/n slid the answer button, bringing the phone up to her ear.
"Hey, sorry I fell asl-." But before she could answer, Sam cut her off with panic in his voice.
"Babe, Babe?! Are you okay?" Sam frantically asked. "Where are you right now?" He added, panic rising in his voice.
Y/n furrowed her brows, confused on why he had begun panicking over not updating him on her whereabouts.
"I'm just home, in the living room right now." She sighed, rubbing her eyes out of her tired state.
"Okay, okay, please tell me you locked all the doors and windows," Sam sternly replied.
Y/n stood up, noticing the TV had still been blaring. "Yeah, I locked the front door when you left and the backdoor had been locked, what's going on sam, you're really freaking me out." She grumbled.
"Y/n, please listen to me very carefully," Sam began, shaking in his voice. She heard him talk to another person in the back, something about a ride to the airport. "Go to our bathroom, and lock the door, please baby." He panted, hearing a car door shut in the background as he began to run.
Y/n just was more confused, but complied with his instructions. She began walking towards their bedroom, but froze when she heard a sound from downstairs. The sound of glass shattering echoed from the home.
She sprinted towards the bedroom, locking the door and entering the bathroom connected to it. She swiftly locked the bathroom door, backing away as she tried to cover her heavy breathing.
She forgot she was on a call with Sam, faintly hearing his loud shouts for her. She brought the phone back to her ear, barely stabilized in her shaking hand.
"Y/n!? y/n!? What happened?! Y/n, please answer me!" Sam shouted, calling out for her. "Was that glass breaking?!" He called out.
"Y-Yeah, I just heard someone fucking break a window or something downstairs," Y/n whispered into the phone. "Sam, I-I'm scared." Her voice cracked as tears began to spill onto her cheeks.
Sam cursed a bit in the background, "Fuck, it’s gonna be okay baby, I promise." His voice shook, distressed as he felt hopeless in this situation. "Colby called the police so they should be over there any moment, just stay there and don't make a sound, okay?" He informed her.
Before y/n could respond, she heard faint heavy footsteps make their way up towards the stairs. It seemed as if he had stopped at the end of the staircase, in front of the living room.
"Sam, I-I think he's upstairs," Y/n sobbed softly. "I’m so fucking scared, Sam." She whimpered out.
Sam cursed yet again on the other side, clearly frustrated and worried. "It's gonna be okay, Colby's still on the line with the cops, they said 5 more minutes, okay? Just don't say anything, it's g-gonna be okay." She heard Sam's frustrated sniffs as his voice cracked.
Slowly, the footsteps became louder. They thudded with each step, slowly making their way towards the locked bedroom. Y/n felt hot tears stream down her hot cheeks, her heart pumping as if she ran a marathon.
But then the footsteps stopped at the door to the bedroom. She listened carefully, her ears perking up to every sound. 5 minutes will feel like eternity. She listened as the door handle started jiggling to their bedroom, with a frustrated man's voice as he kicked the door once, then twice and with a loud crack as it swung and hit the wall.
She let out a scared squeal, Sam still shouting for her on the other side. She didn't dare to move, still intently listening as the man rustled around the room, trying to find something or someone.
She could practically feel her heart beating out of her chest, feeling nothing but pure fear as the man began stepping closer to the bathroom door.
Y/n found it odd when the man knocked. She didn't answer, letting yet another tear slip out of her eye. But she found it even more odd that he slipped a piece of paper under the door, seemingly blank.
Y/n prayed that the police would arrive any moment, rescue her from this nightmare. But mostly wanting Sam to be there for her, to protect her.
She shut her eyes, bringing the phone to her ear again. Sam kept calling out for her, freaking out. "Sam, If something happens, I-I love y-you okay?" She sniffed softly as she whispered softly into the phone.
"Y/n, don't say that! You're gonna make it just a little long-" as Sam was about to finish his sentence, the door cracked just like the one in the bedroom.
She jumped, tears spilling as she let out a sob. Just as quickly as he opened the bedroom door, the door ricocheted against the wall. She felt herself shake like a leaf as her back pressed up against the bathtub, watching intently as everything moved very slowly.
The background noise of Sam's voice and everything else drowned as she heard her heart beating, eyes glued to the broken door. The man slowly stepped closer inside the bathroom, turning his head very menacingly.
The masked man creeped into the bathroom, the glimmer of a blade in his hand. She let out a sob as she turned her head away, shutting her eyes shut as she prayed it was a nightmare she woke awake from.
She could practically feel his breath on her face, now kneeling in front of her. His hand at first moved to her face, tracing his fingers on her wet skin but then moving his attention to the phone clutched in her hand. He scoffed as he snatched the phone out of her hand, bringing it to his ear.
"Y/n? Y/n?! answer me, please." Sam begged on the other line.
"She's unavailable at the moment." The man's deep voice rang out in the bathroom.
"Dont you dare fucking touch her," Sam spat through the phone, gripping onto his phone with anger. "I swear to God, I will fucking kill you." He growled.
The man chuckled a bit, amused by his threats, "Well, I don't see you anywhere." He laughed.
Before Sam could give an answer, the man hung up the phone and set it down onto the counter. He turned back ever so slowly to her, staring down at the floor to avoid eye contact with her stalker.
He kneeled back down, looking at her as she cried.
"You're much prettier than I expected," He laughed, running his finger on a strand of her hair. "Don't be scared, only brought this if your little boyfriend would get in the way." He smirked under his mask, tilting the knife.
As y/n froze up, tensing under his touch, she heard the loud sirens pulling closer to her house. The red and blue lights filling up the room, causing the man to jolt up and look at her one last time.
"This isn't over." He mumbled, running out of the bathroom.
With him gone, she let out a sob as it rang throughout her body. She covered her face, trying to calm down and reassure herself it was all over.
Y/n heard the shouts of a police officer, warning the man to get down. She heard frantic footsteps run down the hall, afraid it was the man again.
But instead it was a female officer, her gun drawn out and a flashlight shining onto y/n's face. She lowered her weapon, turning to her shoulder as she spoke through the walkie.
"Are you y/n?" She kneeled down to her level.
Y/n nodded, "Y-Yes." she let out.
The officer reached for her hand, helping her up. Y/n's legs shook as she stumbled forward slightly, apologizing as she straightened herself up.
"It's okay, you have no need to apologize." She reassured, beginning to walk her out of the bathroom.
"T-That paper, he slid it under the door when I was locked in h-here." She pointed with trembling hands.
The officer nodded, kneeling as she lifted the paper. Y/n couldn't help but peek at the paper, curiosity eating at her.
From what it looked like, it was a love note as he declared his love for her. The officer's face retorted into a one with disgust, hiding it quickly from y/n.
"This will be put into evidence, my other officer will take you down to question you," She informed y/n, letting one of the other officers grab her arm and lead her down the hall.
Y/n's eyes wandered to the broken bits of wood that was flown across the room, their bedroom in complete disarray. She noticed that the same knife he had carried was now lodged into the broken door that hung loosely on the hinges, on the door was a picture of her and sam. Sam's face was scribbled on, with a few profanities scratched around.
Y/n felt sick to her stomach, unable to hold back tears as she trembled down the hall. The street was filled with cop cars, neighbors coming out to investigate the commotion. She spaced out, deep into thought as the police officer's informed her about the break in.
Y/n simply nodded, still in shock. Then she noticed a figure run up to her, Sam. She felt tears spilling out again and a wave of relief washed over her as she watched him sprint towards her, hugging her as he panted and sobbed into her hair.
"Thank fucking god," Sam cried, rubbing her hair as she trembled in his arms. "I'm so sorry, this is all my fault. I should've never left you alone." He cried, stroking her hair as he comforted her.
She peaked over his shoulder, the flashes of blue and red covered the streets. She watched as the officers handcuffed the now revealed man as his mask had been removed, pushing him into the back of the cop car. Y/n quickly looked away, determined not to be afraid of him any longer. As long as she had Sam, she was safe.
She didn't say anything, soaking his sweatshirt with her tears. He didn't let go of her, talking to the police as they interrogated him to find the story.
"Hey, can we do this another time?" Sam snapped, holding y/n as she rested her head onto his chest. "I would love to answer your questions, but she's been through a lot and I need her to rest." He sighed, stroking her hair softly.
The officer understood, handing him a card. They thanked them for their time, getting into the car as they sped away. Y/n sniffled, gripped onto Sam's arms tightly, as if he would leave again.
"You guys can stay at my place for the meantime," Colby offered. "I know your house is sort of a crime scene right now, and your doors are completely wrecked. I have the space." He added.
Sam nodded, thanking his best friend. Y/n hasn't said anything to Sam, still traumatized from her experience. She sat silent in the car, holding onto Sam's hand tightly as they drove. Sam couldn’t help but glance at her, guilt building up inside him.
When they had finally reached Colby's house, Sam followed y/n around. He was so afraid to leave her side again, y/n was comforted by his presence but she knew he had blamed himself for it.
Y/n laid on the bed, glancing at her phone as she looked at the many articles about her. She frowned at the media article, turning off her phone when she noticed Sam enter the room. Sam jumped into the bed, letting out a deep breath as he stared up for a moment.
"It's not your fault sam," Y/n began, causing Sam to avert his gaze to her. "If anything, I'm glad you weren't there, you didn't see what I saw." She added, looking over to him.
"Y/n-" Sam started, but was ultimately cut off by y/n.
"No Sam, don't blame yourself, I told you to go," her voice cracked, fighting back tears that threatened to spill. "He would've hurt you, o-or killed you." She let out a sob.
Sam didn't say anything, pulling her into his chest as she let out tears. He whispered to her that everything's gonna be okay, kissing her head as he petted her hair.
"T-There wasn't much you could do, Sam," She whispered, sniffing. "He came there to hurt you, you did the right thing to call the cops." She commented, looking up at her boyfriend.
Sam half smiled down at her, "I know, just I wish I was there to protect you, I'm sorry." He mumbled, sniffing back tears.
She smiled, placing her palm onto his face. "It's okay Sam, I'm okay," She reassured. "I have you around me to protect me now." She shushed softly.
Sam nodded, reaching for her hand off his face. "It's all over," He sighed. "That's all that matters, you're safe."
Sam wrapped his arms around her, her head pressed against his chest as she listened to his heart beat gently against her ear. It didn't take long for her to finally rest, his scent and gentle heartbeat to soothe her to sleep.
"I'm never leaving you ever again." Sam whispered to her, kissing her head.

unstoppable apologies ~ bradley 'rooster' bradshaw
my masterlist | my imagines masterlist
pairing: bradley 'rooster' bradshaw x female benjamin!reader
summary: rooster can't find the courage to ask penny's daughter out, right up until one especially tipsy night when things take a turn.
words: 4.4K
warnings: nothing really, except a lot of fluff. oh. it's not proof read.
a/n: this is my first time writing for Top Gun, even though i've been obsessed with it for many years. i guess seeing Goose's son brought it out of me. i literally haven't thought about anything else but Rooster these past weeks. he even managed to bring me out of this half a year long writer's block. (thank you miles.) anyway. this turned into a much longer fic than i originally intended, but i'm not sorry about it.
i dedicate this one to my lovely @wecomrades (even though i know you don't like reading reader insert, i'm sorry), for being my partner in crime when it comes to obsessing over Rooster and TG and also for supporting me as always. i love you so much, L <3
Tumblr media
It's been only two weeks since (y/n)'s started working at the Hard Deck when Penny decides to put up an addition to the sign announcing the bar's rules, saying that whoever makes eyes and/or relentlessly flirts with the bartenders will have to buy a round for everyone.
"Mom, what is this?" (y/n) groans the next day when she comes in for her shift, eyes landing on the piece of cardboard.
"Sorry, sweetie, but I'm not letting all these men undress you with their eyes. Not without a punishment anyway," Penny shrugs. "If someone wants to flirt with you, they should be serious enough about it to bear the consequences and pay a round."
"I hope you know just how embarrassing this is for me."
"Embarrassment is better than non-stop horny glances."
The girl just sighs with a roll of her eyes and goes on to help her mother clean the counter.
- - - - -
"Come on, Bradshaw, stop overthinking it," Phoenix grabs her friend's arm to slightly pull him in the right direction. "It's not like you haven't gone up there and talked to her before."
"I know, I just don't want to be too obvious with how it's always me going there. What if she doesn't like me back?" Rooster shakes his head, trying to get his arm free again.
"What if she does?" The female pilot retorts without a second of thinking. "Look, we all want another round of drinks, so please just move and get over it. Order our drinks while we continue this game."
Rooster sighs, bracing himself for the inevitable - the conversation with the girl he's developed the most ridiculous crush on. He sometimes feels like he's back in high school with the way he acts and his mind works whenever she gets in the picture, but he can't help it. There's something about her that makes him feel drawn to her when they're in-between the same four walls, making him lose all sense of rationality.
What if she does? The way Phoenix said it somehow suggested to him that she might know something he doesn't. What if?, the words keep on repeating in his head as he walks up to the counter with a little more bounce in his steps thanks to the alcohol buzzing in his system.
"(y/n) darlin', can you get us another round?" He leans in, palms spreading out on the wooden surface, his eyes focused on nothing else but the girl.
"Honestly, what is it with your group? Why can't anyone else come but you?" (y/n) giggles as she starts moving around, getting him their choice of drinks.
"Oh, be careful with your words, lady, in the end I'm gonna think you'd prefer someone else coming here."
"And what if I do? It'd be nice talking to Natasha for a change, not just to your boring face," she placed another glass in front of him with a wink accompanying her words, her teeth sinking into her bottom lip to prevent her from chuckling.
Bradley places a hand on his chest, pretending feeling pain inside. "You're deeply hurting me right now, (y/n) Benjamin."
"It's not like your ego can't handle a little bit of honesty, Bradley Bradshaw."
He hasn't even noticed how close their faces have gotten during the past few sentences until she finally starts laughing and he can feel the air leaving her lungs on the skin of his face. His heart skips a beat as an involuntary, gentle smile spreads across his lips. The next moment the girl leans back and pushes herself away from the counter, moving to another spot where someone else has been patiently waiting to get a drink.
Rooster stays in the exact same position, body leaning in to support himself against the side of the counter and hands lightly pressing into it, only his eyes moving around, following her every movement. She's so gorgeous it hurts.
He would've probably stayed in that position for a lot longer if it wasn't for the bell ringing out. The sudden noise brings him out of his daydream and he blinks before making eye contact with Penny, her eyes suggestive and a playful grin on her lips. A wave of cheering sounds across the bar and the man next to him pats him on the shoulder whilst saying thanks.
It's in that very moment he realises it's him who has to buy everyone a round. It's him who broke one of Penny's rules. Rooster swiftly glances down at the counter to see if he has his phone out but it's not there. He looks back up at the bar owner with confusion written on his face, only to catch her finger pointing in the sign's direction, at a specific part of the rules. His eyes land on the words written there and a moment later he feels the blood rushing to his cheeks, probably painting his whole face bright red in the embarrassment he feels.
He got caught staring at the girl like that. And by none other but her mother.
Bradley groans, fishing out his wallet from his pocket, not daring to glance back towards his friends - he can hear them shouting and whooping towards him perfectly without looking and having to face their grinning expressions too. As he pulls out his card and hands it to Penny, his eyes land on (y/n) standing not far behind her mom, her face just as burning red as his feels.
Great. He even embarrassed her, not just himself. He made her feel awkward.
Penny hands him back the card a couple seconds later with a joyous glare and a chuckle, and he turns around just in time to see Phoenix arrive, lending a helping hand in carrying their drinks. "What the hell have you done?" She whisper-screams with a giggle escaping her lips.
"Nothing. I don't know," he shakes his head, trying to get away from the scene of his crime as fast as possible, mentally promising himself never to go around the counter again if he gets even the slightest bit of tipsy.
- - - - -
"Go, I can finish this," Penny gently bumps her shoulder against her daughter's. "I think someone's waiting for you outside."
(y/n) glances at the window besides the front door, seeing the dark silhouette that seems somewhat familiar before turning her eyes towards her mom again. "I think someone's waiting for you," she giggles, suggestively nodding her head towards one of the tables in the corner of the otherwise empty bar, more specifically the man sitting next to it.
"Oh, stop it," the older woman laughs.
"Only if you will stop it too."
"What? I'm just playfully teasing."
"Me too," (y/n) shakes her head still grinning.
Moving out from behind the counter she grabs her bag and sets off towards the door. "Now go and have some fun. But not too much," she adds just as she grabs the handle, quickly stepping out into the warm air of the night with laughter bubbling from her lips, escaping from the loud, nonsense shout her mom sends after her alongside the towel she's been using to clean the counter up until she threw it away.
(y/n)'s still quietly chuckling away as her eyes land on the figure leaning heavily against the wall. "Rooster?"
The young man raises his head from its hanging position and lets his eyes wander up from her feet to her face. "Hi," he breathes out eventually.
"What are you still doing here? I thought you and your friends left more than an hour ago."
"They did."
She frowns, wondering why he might be still waiting here then, and can't help but feel her heartrate fasten, thinking about the possibility that he's been really waiting for her. As her eyes rake over his appearance, taking in the slighty dazed look he's giving her, the way his fingers noiselessly drum some kind of rhythm on his thighs, she concludes that he's probably still quite tipsy - if not drunk - from all the drinks he's consumed that night, no matter how long he's been sitting outside in the fresh, salty air.
"Oh, come on, you big baby, let's get you home," she leans down, grabbing one of his hands and gently tugging it upwards. For a moment he doesn't react, instead still keeps on looking at her, but after a second tug from her he starts moving, pressing his free hand down against the ground and pushing himself up. Standing upright he sways before her fingers wrap around his shoulder, gripping onto his flesh to keep him steady.
"I don't wanna go home yet," he announces.
"But you definitely should."
"No, I wanna take a walk on the beach first. With you. That's why I've been waiting here." Rooster's words come out more clear and confident than before, now definitely making her heart skip a beat.
(y/n) lets out a breath - she's not been planning to spend the rest of her evening with pampering a drunken man. But she has to admit that he looks utterly cute still holding onto her hand tightly, half leaning against the wall behind him, with a couple loose strands of his light brown hair falling in front of his forehead. And he's always been fun to be around. It's not like she can't push the planned curling up on her couch and watching some Netflix show to another day.
"Okay, let's go then," she smiles up at him, nodding towards the oceanside. His eyes light up and he pushes himself off the wall. The girl doesn't even try to pull her hand away - it just feels too good to be held by him to let that go so easily - but he still tightens his grip on her, as if being afraid that she'd tear the connection if he wasn't precautious.
They walk in silence for a while, only the sound of the waves crashing into the shore giving a constant background noise. A soft breeze moves around them, ruffling her hair and slightly pushing his unbuttoned Hawaiian shirt off his shoulder. It feels nice and comfortable to just stroll quietly by his side, she thinks. After spending hours in the non-stop, loud noise of the bar, her ears feel blessed to have been allowed to rest a bit.
"I'm sorry," Bradley breaks the silence eventually, making the girl frown and glance at him in confusion. She opens her mouth to ask him what for when he continues. "I'm sorry for embarrassing you earlier."
It still takes a moment for her mind to catch up to what he means, having almost completely forgotten about the bell being rung and Rooster standing there at the counter with flaming red cheeks. A tender giggle escapes her lips as the memory resurfaces.
"You don't have anything to apologise for, you didn't embarrass me," she delicately pats his shoulder with her free hand. "If I remember correctly, it was you who became the red-faced centre of attention."
Rooster lets out a low groan, his fingers flying to the back of his neck to scratch away at the skin there, clearly still feeling awkward about the situation. "Still, I'm sorry."
"You really don't have to, Bradshaw. It was probably just my mom revenging my constant teasing of her and Maverick," (y/n) shrugs, shaking her head at her mother's childishness. "She just wanted to tease you a bit in order to tease me."
It's like the man can't even hear her - he mindlessly rubs the skin of his cheek, eyes staring strictly at the sand beneath his feet as they move along the shore. "I didn't want to be rude or too straightforward. I shouldn't have looked at you like that."
"I'm sure you didn't even look at me like that in the first place." Even the thought alone is ridiculous. Why would he, Rooster, the man himself would look at her like that? God, why had her mother decided to put that sign up? "And you ordering for drinks is far from being too straightforward. You don't know the things I hear all the time. That's what my mom meant with that stupid rule, not what you did."
Rooster stays silent for a couple seconds, seemingly deep in thought before deciding to speak up again. "But that's the thing. I did."
(y/n) feels her brows furrow as she glances at him once more. "You did what?"
"I looked at you like that," he confesses, eyes rising up to watch what can be seen of the rolling waves in the dim light that comes from the Hard Deck.
"Oh." That's all the girl can manage as her mind slowly processes his words. But why would he? He was probably more drunk tonight than she thought he was, if he even for a second looked at her in a way that made her mom ring the bell.
"I feel bad because you're not an object to just stare at or whatever," he keeps on rambling, as if it's something he needs to get off his chest.
"Rooster, you're scaring me," (y/n) giggles. "Where's the cocky pilot I got to know and who's this utter mess next to me?"
"He left a couple hours ago," he mumbles so quietly she almost doesn't hear it, before speaking up louder again. "I truly feel bad."
"Okay, that's enough. If I hear you say that one more time, I'm gonna be the one who feels bad."
Her feet mindlessly kick away at a pile of sand in her way, and she watches as the dry grains of sand go flying in the air, get caught up by the breeze and being blown towards the ocean. "Look, I really don't care about it. Nothing happened so please calm down and stop worrying."
"I can't. I have to make you understand how sorry I am."
God, he's actually still drunk.
"I would never want to disrespect you. Not anyone but especially not you. I swear I will never do it again." His words slur as he keeps on lowly explaining himself, the word sorry appearing every other second and she actually has to bite into the inside of her cheek to keep herself from giggling out loud.
She watches with amusement as he's talking unstoppably, wondering if he even knows what's going on, trying to put a stop to it, interrupting him on several occasions, but it's like his mind is somewhere very far away - too far for her words to truly reach his mind.
With a shake of her head (y/n) abruptly stops, and pulling her hand away from his she turns to face him. Before he can even realise how the circumstances have changed, she's already grabbing both sides of his face with a fond but still somewhat firm movement. She can just see the moment a slight confusion appears in the glint of his eyes as she swiftly leans in and presses her lips to his in a way to finally shut him up.
For a short second it feels like not even this can stop him as his lips keep moving, muffled words sounding from them, but then he suddenly goes completely quiet, and then just one more second later he responds to her kiss.
The romantic books and movies she's read and seen all describe this feeling with mentions of fireworks and butterflies, but somehow it feels completely different than that as he practically melts into her hands. Her senses sharpen like they never did before, and she's sure she's going to combust right here and now.
She can feel crystal clear the exact moment his warm palm touches the small of her back, the heat radiating from his skin going right through the material of her T-shirt and onto her skin, sending a tingle up her spine. The breath leaving through his nose tickles her face and she can feel more than she can hear the soft sigh that leaves his lips as he leans into the kiss even more. Her hands slowly slide lower to rest against his chest just as his fingers tangle themselves into her hair. The light taste of beer transfers from his lips to hers and she revels in the tiny remnants of the alcohol seeping into her system.
When all oxygen leaves her lungs and she can feel them burn in a desperate plead, (y/n) takes a step back, allowing their lips to disconnect. Rooster chases after her lips for a moment, leaning closer still, until her finger presses onto his pursed and swollen lips, stopping his movement. His eyes flutter open and he just stays motionless, staring dazedly into her eyes.
It soon becomes too much to bear, and so she turns her head away, fingers gently wrapping around his wrists to guide them away from her body. Trying to put the buzzing of her mind and all her senses aside she slips a hand into his and turns the two of them around so they can start their walk back to her car.
"Come on, let's get you home to sleep this off, Bradley," she says quietly, a soft smile playing on her lips when she feels his fingers tighten around hers hearing his first name coming from her mouth.
- - - - -
The next day, when (y/n) can hear the sound of the bar's front door being opened and then closed, footsteps approaching the counter as she's placing the clean glasses back to their places, she speaks without looking up. "We don't open for another ten minutes, sorry."
"Don't worry, I'm not here to get a drink," a very familiar raspy, deep voice replies, making her spin around to stare at the man now arriving to the counter.
"Hey," she greets Rooster with a soft smile. Her glance travels all around him - at least the parts of him she can see above the wooden furniture - taking in the pink blush colouring his cheeks, the small and even shy smile playing on his lips.
Does he remember last night at all?
"Uhm, so I wanted to ask you a question, actually," Bradley speaks up, chuckling away after a momentary pause.
"(y/n), dear, can you help me-" Penny's voice rings out as she enters through the kitchen door, but stops abruptly when her eyes land on the pilot leaning against the counter, a knowing smirk slowly taking over her expression. "Oh, I'm sorry, didn't know anyone was in here already. I'll leave you to it," and with that, she moves back from where she's just come from.
(y/n) and Bradley look at each other and burst out laughing at the same time, the sound of their laughter combined helping to ease the previously formed tension. When they finally calm down and everything goes quiet again, (y/n) tilts her head to the side. "So what is it you wanted to ask me?"
"Oh, yeah. Uhm," the man mumbles and she raises an eyebrow, thinking back to the previous night and how similarly he's behaving right now - totally unlike him. "Is there any particular reason you kissed me last night besides wanting to shut me up?"
So he does remember.
Now it's her turn to become all shy and flustered, cheeks turning pink and eyes slightly widening. "Well, that was the main reason, to get you silent finally," she chuckles, but the not finished sentence sensibly hangs in the air still and she knows that he can feel it too, especially when he raises an eyebrow in a suggestive, expectant way.
"But?" Rooster breathes out, leaning just a tiny bit closer above the counter.
(y/n) gulps, closing her eyes for a moment to gather the courage to actually confess. "But I also did it because I wanted to."
"You wanted to?"
God, why wouldn't he let me be and stop my suffering?
"Yeah. For a long time, to be honest," she mumbles under her breath before raising her glance up to his face to his how he'll react.
She does it just in time to see that way too familiar cockiness sparkle up again in his eyes, that well-known, overly confident smirk spreading across his lips. "Yeah?"
The girl nods with a roll of her eyes - she can just feel the tidal wave of teasing coming her way, feeling more than surprised when it doesn't come.
"Good thing you did it then, I'm not sure I would ever have been able to make myself finally do it," Rooster continues, and as she's staring into his hazel eyes, she could swear she sees something else spark in there. Something that's tender and breathtaking and lovely and almost like adoration.
"You wanted to?" (y/n) can't help but repeat his previous question back to him.
"I still want to," he replies and it's like her heart is actually bursting out of her chest, beating so fast and loud she's sure even her mother can hear it. "If you'll let me," Bradley finishes, his voice taming down into a gentle mumble.
He leans even closer to her above the counter slowly, painfully slowly, and she can almost feel herself just give in and lean in as well, when her mind's still working part comes up with a rational thought and she swiftly pushes herself further from the counter.
She can see the confusion spreading across his face and she can almost hear the thoughts running wild in his head as he's probably wondering what he's done wrong, but before he can ask her, she's already on her way to move out into the open space of the bar. Her feet almost make her stumble in her slightly impatient hurry since she's not taking her eyes off his, not for even the shortest second to look at where she's going.
Dodging a few stools and her fingers finding support on the wooden surface as she drags them along the top of the counter she watches as his head is slowly turning, in sync with her own movements as if he himself wouldn't want to break the eye contact either.
By the time she comes to a halt in front of him, slipping into the space between the counter and him he generated whilst watching her move, he's seemingly caught up to what she had in mind, his lips curling back into the grin once more. "I'll let you, Bradley Bradshaw," she breathes out, noticing his eyes dart down to her lips and back up to her (y/e/c) orbs again.
Slowly, as if they had all the time in the world to themselves, he places both hands on the edge of the counter, trapping the girl there, standing right in-between his arms, mere centimetres away from his body. Then, with the same patience he lowers his head, gently letting his forehead rest against hers. He can feel the stutter of her breath against his skin as she practically shakes with anticipation, making the knowing smirk appear on his face just as he dives in to claim her lips his own.
The clatter of silverware sounding from the kitchen breaks the two of them away a minute or so later, and as (y/n) glances towards the kitchen door, wondering if her mother intentionally made the noise only to further tease them, Bradley untangles his hands from their previous positions on the side of her neck and her left cheek, both of them breathing deeply, chests touching with each inhale.
"Do I interpret the signs correctly and this means that you would say yes if I hypothetically asked you out on a date?" Rooster raises his hand once more, pushing a stray curl of her hair that has fallen in front of her face behind her ear.
"Only hypothetically speaking, yes," the girl replies, a wide grin practically cutting her face into two.
The next moment they share a chuckle, giddy from their previous actions and the weight of their confessions.
"Okay," Bradley leans in to press a soft kiss against her forehead. "Would you go on a date with me then?"
"Wasn't it only hypothetical?" (y/n) can't help but grin up at him.
"It isn't anymore."
She simply nods, letting her eyes do the talking as she stares deep into his gorgeous, sparkling hazel orbs. Rising up to stand on her toes she responds to his peck with a similarly delicate one, just on his cheek, on the spot of impossibly soft skin right under his eyes instead of his forehead.
"Good," he breathes out, eyes fluttering closed from the tenderness. "When does your shift end tonight?"
(y/n)'s just about to answer him when the kitchen door opens once more. "Okay, kiddos, I gave you a couple minutes, now I gotta open this place, so time's up," Penny walks out with a grin on her face, not even looking the tiniest bit of surprised by seeing her daughter and the pilot standing so close to each other, basically in each other's embrace.
Did she know about both our feelings? That's why she rang the bell too?, (y/n) can't help but think.
"Hey, Pen, can I somehow bribe you into letting your daughter finish her shift a bit earlier tonight?" Rooster grins at the bar owner, taking a small step back to let the girl escape from the trap his body created.
Penny rolls her eyes, shaking her head in pretended disbelief. "What are you up to, Lieutenant?"
"I want to take her out on a date, ma'am," he playfully salutes her, responding to her formality without a second thought.
The woman glances to the side, joyously noticing the utter happiness radiating from her daughter, before turning her gaze back to the young man at her side, nodding her approval. "Only this once, and just because I've been watching you pine for each other for too long already," she chuckles and moves to stand behind the counter, placing the towel that's been resting on her shoulder down to give the wooden surface one last wipe.
Rooster turns to (y/n) only to find her standing there with her cheeks flushed pink, looking oh so perfect - and he has to stop for a short second just to take the sight in and wonder if it's from the embarrassment because of her mother or from the kiss they just shared.
They discuss the details of their date under their breath in order to stop her mom being able to hear them perfectly, then he leans in and presses a short and innocent kiss to her temple before turning away and making his way out of the bar, disappearing behind the doorframe - but not before glancing back one last time to shine a wide, excited smile (y/n)'s way.

Sup. Im smoke, somehow now fan of helluva boss and hazbin hotel. I write headcanons and oneshots for fun. Big fan of x reader stuff, will do it.
My english can suck. If you want to help a bit with beta reading and explain some rules and correct usage of words - i will be extremely happy.
My interpretations and writing of characters may go straight up completely ooc too, if you try to correct me on this - please don't. I write what i want for fun. block me and support writers who you like, they need support more than i need criticism. Maybe reread their work, and say that their characterization is so good you come back to it, they will poop themself from happiness.
I plan no sexual scenes, tho jokes and swearing may appear a lot, depending on context. Im not exactly the writer to use much swears in my texts. If i do anything that would need warning - then i will warn you properly in summary, i don't have any spoilers to hide.
Feel free to send requests and just generally chat about things, would love to socialize in my new fandoms. Anon asks on.
request rules:
feel free to not read rules and just send it lmao. but keep it sfw
feel free if you like very niche obscure sfw tropes that may seem weird/fetish to someone. You won't seem weird for me, so share all kind of it :D
My tastes on writing characters etc are really too complicated to explain, so i won't even try. If request won't match it - i may just delete it and never reply even if your prompt is extremely good but not in my taste, sorry. So, copy them all!!! (im serious) and save somewhere, to send other writers. They may write things i won't and do it better than me!
one request per ask, please!
yall can request multiple characters per one request.
specify do you want romantic or platonic. and if you want to go further, lovehate, enemies, or frenemies, angst fluff etc.
I prefer more specific prompt over vague prompt.
examples:
"charactername and reader who is evil demon possesing their reflections and mirrors, who they can't just get rid of" = specific.
"Reader with X and Y interest and Charactername celebrate Christmas together "
"character reaction when they they found out that the other character love someone else and plan to break up" = specific.
"charactername and canon/reader?" = vague.
You can ask for just any characters headcanons and i would give you them. :D
You can include some headcanons or ooc things you want to include, etc. can make angel not so horny lol or rude character softer. Canon barely exist for me and i can (and will) change character's traits freely. Can make aroace char into rose romantic and pan, or make any character aroace too. they're fictional after all! Can go with aus too (swaping characters, or making demon character angel etc).
feel free to spam as much different requests as you need, i will close em if i will get enough.
I do x reader mostly!!! That'll most easy and likely for me.
can do Canon x Canon. You may request rarepairs like fizzxstriker, or blitzxverosika, etc, i love crackpairings, thinking about certain situations characters may end up in, and think how different characters can get along. If you request popular or canon pairing ( like stolitz, or millie x moxxie - i prefer to have more prompt since i don't create content for them, and don't want to write something that pairing fans saw thousand times.)
Don't send asks with oc x canon. tho i don't mind, you may try your luck, i would love to hear about hellaverse ocs or selfinserts, and ask questions. Im big oc x canon fan and can read loredumps about ocs and i love when people really creative and thoughtful with it, dm if you want to share, don't just send ask. I don't promise to write about them, but if we match (that'll be a miracle but it may happen), i can.
can go both with oneshots or headcanon bullet lists, what i see more fit.

The Hybrids Society
Characters: c!hybrids x gn!striderhybrid!reader (/p)
A/N: Yet again suggested by my friend my ideas are on a low rn lmao
UPDATE AFTER WRITING:
I have been made aware that Ranboo is uncomfortable with x readers, I am trying to privately save any to find things that may possibly be uncomfortable for him in the future and avoid them, however I cannot do that with asks. This can be read as a friendship if you please, I personally don't think it's weird for friends to hold hands, but if youre uncomfortable please scroll.
-------------------------------------------------------
The hybrids of the SMP always seemed to be pretty innocent, doing their own things, living their own lives. But behind the scenes there was a secret society for them. A society away from normal humans. A society built for them. It simply went by the Hybrids Society, that's all. It was a group for everything, from healing and support, to meetings for when it came to more serious times. When it came to meetings, everyone had to attend, but otherwise it was open for any of them to stroll in and get what they need any time. The main people you would normally see there would be Ranboo, Tubbo, Fundy and Phil, Techno and Foolish would appear from time to time when needed, but otherwise the others were barley seen at all. It was content, quiet enough for them. They had all the support they could need, right where only they could find it. It was only these lot, until you came along.
It was just a normal day for you, strolling around the lowest points of your home on the lava, checking in on all your friends and family, even if they were full Striders and not Human hybrids. That was until 2 people saw you.
"Uh, Phil? That's a person, right?"
Ranboo asked Phil. They were out looking for some Quartz, it would usually be Phil and Techno or Ranboo and Techno, but he was busy today, so the 2 of them went instead. Phil looked awfully confused, so Ranboo pointed in your direction, both seeing you playing with the smaller Striders in the middle of the lava pool.
"Oh yeah mate, it looks so. How are they not burning?"
Phil said. Ranboo just shrugged in confusion. They stood in silence, careful to be aware of their surroundings, watching you trying to figure out how you weren't burning.
"Why don't we go down and talk to them?"
Ranboo suggested. Phil took a moment to look in his inventory for cobble, if they were going to head towards you, they needed enough.
"Got any spare cobble? I think I'm just slightly short of it."
Phil asked Ranboo. You didn't have to ask him twice, as he pulled out all the cobble in his inventory and passed it to Phil. You could tell he was excited to meet you.
It wasn't long until they were at a suitable level and started bridging towards you. About halfway through their bridging, you noticed them, and decided to walk towards them to help them save resources. They somehow didn't notice you, not until you started talking to them.
"Hello."
You simply stated. The bridging blonde was taken by surprise and fell from the shock. If it wasn't for you catching him, he would've fallen into the lava.
"Sorry about that, here, pass me that, I'll help you."
You said as Phil passed you the cobble, and you began to build a bigger platform for them to stand on.
"Thanks... Wh-whats your name?"
The bi coloured boy asked, clearly nervous about meeting you, now that it was happening in person.
"I'm Y/N, how about you guys?"
Ranboo looked at Phil, and Phil looked at Ranboo, both clearly confused on who's answering first.
"I'm Phil, and this is Ranboo."
Phil finally spoke up, pointing at Ranboo as he said his name. He waved in response.
"Nice names! Would you like to stay and chat for a bit? Obviously if you're not busy, it's just nice to talk to someone since noone here speaks English."
You said. The 2 looked at eachother, remembering what they came for.
"We gotta get some Quartz, but you can come with us if you can walk on land?"
Phil asked. You thought about it for a moment. You'd never been on land before. Would you drag them behind their schedule? Striders are infamous for walking slowly on land, is it the same with you?
"Yeah, sure! I'm not sure if I'll slow you down though, I've never walked on land before."
You answered, excitement dying down slightly in the second sentence. Ranboo looked at you in slight disappointment of your excitement dying down.
"Don't worry kid, it's fine. There's a first time for everything, isn't there?"
You nodded in responce, and Phil held out his hand to pull you up, as the platform was one block above lava level. You placed your bare feet on the cobble. It was cold, rocky. But nice. It was different, you liked that. Phil started walking back, Ranboo behind him and you behind Ranboo, surprising you as you were walking at the same speed as them.
You were next to Ranboo, the 2 of you walking behind Phil, talking while he looked for Quartz. Ranboo would unconsciously stop talking at times to study you and your hybrid features. You had pale red skin, dark red hair, and wore a raggy shirt and trousers.
"So,"
Ranboo began.
"What other hybrid features do you have?"
You thought for a moment. The issue is you didn't really know. You never went outside the lava, never tried something new before today.
"To be honest, I'm not sure. I've never left the lava before today. All I know is that I like mushrooms, it's the only edible vegetation here for me and it's quite nice."
Ranboo let out a slight laugh at your honest opinions, which made you smile. You didn't know what you did or how you did it, but it felt nice.
You were all there for a while, you got to know Ranboo quite well and he got to know you quite well. You got back to the portal, kinda upset that it was time for them to leave. They both looked at you, before looking at eachother, and back at you again.
"Would you like to come with us? Y'know, like live in the overworld with us, meet out friends?"
Your eyes visibly lighted up.
"Yes! I'd love to!"
You called out. Ranboo offered you his hand so he could help you through the portal, which you excitedly took. You all stepped through the purple swirls, and before you knew it, you were somewhere you've never seen before.
It was indoors and decorated like your home, granted, but you cod tell it was different. You felt scared. You gripped Ranboos hand tighter, he looked over to you confused until he realised how scared you looked.
"Hey, it's ok, it's a nice world out there, trust me."
Ranboo told you with a smile. You smiled back but still didn't let go of his hand fully, you just released your grip a bit. It was all fine until you got to the exit of the building. It was pouring down with rain. Phil looked over at Ranboo and handed him a coat. You looked confused.
"He's an enderman hybrid, so he can't go into the rain. Wait, since you're a hybrid from the nether, does that mean you can't go out into rain?"
Phil said. You shrugged before you stuck the back of your hand out into the rain. It only took a single drop for you to pull your hand back in pain. You could see where it landed, it was physically sizzling.
"Ah. In that case, wanna get under with me?"
Ranboo asked, lifting up the coat so you could get under. You edged closer to him, as he released your hand and rested it across your back and looped his hand to hold onto your stomach. You reached up for his hand with one of yours, the other pulling the edge of the coat down. It wasn't overly comfortable, it wasn't the biggest coat, and Ranboo had to bend down to your level due to his height. But it was whatever it took for you both to be safe. The issue is you assumed you were running and didn't know where to go.
"Uh, Phil? I guess we're running, right? I have no clue where were going."
Phil looked at you, before looking at Ranboo and turning back around.
"Don't worry, Ranboo will show you. Now, ready? Let's go!"
Phil said before running into the rain, the 2 of you close behind. Ranboo held you close, making sure you weren't hurt at all. He was used to this by now, but was aware you were new to rain, and wanted to make sure you get back in one piece.
You finally reached where you were heading to, and Ranboo stood at his full height, letting the wet coat fall off both your backs. Phil was aware of why you both didn't touch it and picked it up for you. You followed Ranboo into the place.
"This, Y/N, is what we like to call the Hybrids Society. It's a place open for all hybrids whenever they need it. It's hidden away from the non-hybrids, so please don't tell them about it."
Ranboo said. You nodded when he said not to tell the non-hybrids, as you both approached a corner. You tugged on his jacket to grab his attention.
"I'm not sure about this mind..."
You said nervously. Sure, you were excited to meet hybrids like you, but it was also nerve wracking.
"Don't stress, you'll be fine."
You grabbed Ranboos hand and walked behind him as he walked around the corner. Phil had already walked ahead.
"Hey Fundy, Tubbo, Techno! Were back!"
Ranboo said as he walked in. You hoped his tall figure would hide you since you were considerably shorter than him.
"Hey Ranboo! Why's your hand behind your back?"
Fundy asked, as Tubbo nodded in agreement to his question. Techno was looking through chests for potion ingredients, not paying attention to them. Phil was in the corner smiling, looking for some clothes for you to wear. Ranboo looked at you, as you looked back up at him. He smiled at you softly.
"Remember what I said, it'll be fine."
You slowly poked your head out from behind him, before showing your whole self, waving at them nervously, still holding Ranboos hand.
"This is Y/N. They're a Strider Hybrid and we met them in the Nether earlier."
Ranboo introduced you. Techno perked up at the fact you were found in the Nether and finally looked at you both.
"Hello Y/N! I'm Tubbo, I'm a Goat hybrid!"
Tubbo introduced himself as he waved at you excitedly. You smiled and waved back.
"I'm Fundy, a Fox hybrid. Nice to meet you."
Phil had finished looking for clothes by now and was watching you all. He could see Techno looking at you in curiosity as to your hybrid abilities. He made his way over to him and nudged him.
"Go on then mate, introduce yourself!"
Phil whisper-shouted to Techno.
"Uh, yeah right, sorry. I'm Technoblade, but you can just call me Techno."
He said in a monotone voice before turning back to what he was doing.
"Y/N, here, go put these on, it's probably more comfortable than what you're wearing now."
Phil said as he handed you the clothes he picked out, baggy jeans and a red shirt. You took them before Phil pointed towards where you could go change. You walked off to go change, while the others continued the conversation.
"So, about you guys,"
Fundy began with a smirk on his face. Ranboo instantly cut him off, knowing what he was going to say.
"Were just friends. They were nervous about leaving their long time home, and I don't blame them. We talked alot during the trip so I suppose we got quite close and they started clinging to me for safety? I'm not sure, we'll just see how it goes."
Ranboo said. It was a simple response, with a simple theory, he just didn't know if it was correct.
You later walked out of where you were changing in your new clothes, happy with the selection.
"These are nice, thanks Phil."
You said. Phil simply nodded his head slightly.
"Hungry? There's some mushrooms over there if that's what you fancy. They're overworld ones though, not ones from the Nether."
Ranboo asked. You headed towards where Ranboo pointed and looked at the mushrooms. They were way different to ones you were used to, they were beige or red and white spotted, rather than blue and orange. You looked back over as if to say "Are these safe to eat?" and they all nodded. You simply shrugged before taking one of each and trying them one after the other.
"Mm! These are nice! Different from the usual, granted but it's nice that they are different."
You sealed the approval of the mushrooms.
You hung out at the base of the Society for a bit longer, meeting more hybrids and getting to know others better. It was getting late, and there was just one problem. You didn't have anywhere to sleep. You started getting tired, and they all noticed.
"Hey, we got beds here, want us to stay here tonight and we'll find you somewhere to sleep tomorrow?"
Tubbo asked, praying the others wouldn't mind what he put them up to. All you could do was nod, before you physically went out cold.
"Damn, they are tired, huh. It's been a long day for them I suppose."
Phil said, while Ranboo picked you up before taking you to one of the beds and staying until you felt comfortable.
"Goodnight Y/N. See you tomorrow."
He said before walking out. It was a different life, of course it was, but it was going to be a nicer one for you, with more people to talk to, and a best friend you would trust with your life.

A/N: a place for them would be nice where they just do stuff yeah

My Grandfather’s Lawyer (pt. 9)
⁂ – Ushijima Wakatoshi x reader –  ⁂
Tumblr media
warning: nsfw, swearing
Summary: Your grandfather, Washijo Tanji, disowned your mother when she was pregnant with you and her hatred towards him was passed on to you. Now, your estranged grandfather wants you to leave your life in Tokyo and come live with him in his estate in the Miyagi Prefecture.
You took a day off and a 6-hour trip, intending to give him a piece of your mind before disappearing from their lives forever. You didn’t expect to see an ailing and fragile old man. Your day trip stretched into weeks and soon, you patched things up with your estranged family and warmed up to everyone -except to one: Ushijima Wakatoshi -your grandfather’s lawyer.
He thinks you have ulterior motives in reuniting with your grandfather.
You weren’t suppose to care what he thinks of you. His opinion didn’t matter.
But it did.
Part 1 | Part 2 | Part 3 | Part 4 | Part 5 | Part 6 | Part 7 | Part 8
AN: First of all, I AM SOOOO SORRY I haven’t updated in a while. Classes started last week I had to focus on my work for a bit. It won’t happen again. I sweaaaar. Thank you all for supporting this fic 🥰🥰 I love y’all!! I promise to bring you more Haikyuu fics!!
You were bored to death today. You've been tossing and turning on your futon and pacing around your room ever since you woke up this morning.
For all their talk of wanting to spend time with you, your cousins and your grandfather are almost always out or busy the whole day, leaving you to yourself in the big ol' Washijo house.
Just like today.
Well, Hoshina's here but she's currently with Kotaro. The two are busy working on some product proposals or something and you wouldn't want to bother them. Especially now that Kotaro (it seems) heeded your advice and is making his move on your cousin. Third-wheeling and cock-blocking wasn't something you wanted to do. So here you are, sighing for the umpteenth time that day.
"Y/n?"
You heard the said cousin call from outside your room. You quickly got up from your position and slid the panel open.
"Hey, what's up?"
"Kotaro and I are gonna grab coffee, wanna come?"
You were about to say yes when a brilliant thought entered your mind. It might ease your boredom for a bit.
"You know what, I have a better idea." You suggested and witnessed how her brow rose in curiosity.
Ten minutes later, the three of you are in the kitchen, the lovebirds are hunched over a laptop on the counter island while you're on the other side, concocting a caffeinated drink whose recipe you've memorized ever since you started working at the cafe back in Tokyo.
"No need, I'm fine." You tried to reason but he's already in front of you, trying to get the two cups from your grasp. "Seriously, I'm fine."
You sprinkled the last cup with cinnamon powder and grabbed all three steaming hot cup of coffee and made your way towards Hoshina and Kotaro. The hot ceramic slightly scalded your fingers but it was something you were used to.
Kotaro glanced up, you were halfway towards them, and saw you.
"Let me help you with that." He offered, concern evident in his face as he stood up.
"At least give the other cup to me."
"You guys alright?" Hoshina asked from the counter.
You were about to reply that everything was fine when your arm shook, because of Kotaro's incessant offer to help you, causing the hot water to spill. You let out a loud yelp as the cup dropped on the ground, breaking into pieces, while the other fell straight towards your feet before bouncing and breaking.
"Shit!" You cursed, the hot liquid burned your skin.
"AHH! I'm sorry!"
"Y/n! What- what happened?" Hoshina rushed to your side and examined your injury. "Kotaro, get the first aid kit!"
He grabbed his hair in panic. "Where?"
"It's in the bathroom next to - ugh! Nevermind." She groaned. "Take care of y/n, I'll get it."
"Guys, it's nothing serious." You tried to explain but your cousin already disappeared while Kotaro already pulled out his handkerchief and wrapped your hand in it. "Relax, Ko, I'm fine."
"Na-uh," He shook his head. "Hoshi told me to take care of you so I'm gonna go take care of you."
You smiled at the guy's indirect devotion to you.
"How sweet." A voice said dryly.
Both your heads turned to the person; your grandfather's lawyer stood by the door to the kitchen, his face passive while his eyes were glued to your and Kotaro's connected hands.
"Wait! You've got it all wrong, it's not how it looks." Kotaro tried to explain but the lawyer already walked out.
"Sorry, y/n. I'll explain to him what happened after I clean this mess."
"No need," You shook your head. "We don't owe him anything. It's not like we're doing anything wrong so I don't understand why he's acting up. again"
Your eyes widened in shock when Kotaro grabbed both your shoulders. He looked at you straight in the eyes and lightly shook you to emphasize each word.
"Ushijima. Wakatoshi. is. jealous. That's why."
Hoshina came back and quickly worked on your slightly injured hand and feet, all while Kotaro narrated what happened. "I agree."
"You lovebirds are ganging up on me now, huh." You teased, refusing to believe what they're telling you.
In the end, the three of you decided to just head out to the nearest cafe to grab coffee. On the way, Hoshina and Kotaro decided to have dinner, something they invited you in but again, you refused to be the third wheel so you just kindly asked them to drop you off after getting your coffee and bid them good night.
As you sat on your futon Kotaro's words kept on replaying in your mind. He's jealous? Was Ushijima really capable of such feeling? It could just be his attitude acting up for all you cared. But a part of you wanted to believe that the lawyer really was jealous.
A faint rap on your sliding door pulled you out of your thoughts. You sluggishly got up and approached the panels.
"Good evening, y/n-san." Saki greeted. You smiled and greeted her back. "Wakatoshi-san asked for you, he's in your grandfather's study." She informed. You mumbled a soft thanks before she went on her way.
Unconsciously, you felt nervous as you trudged the path towards the study room.
What did the lawyer want from you now?
You groaned and composed yourself. It's not like you did a grave sin against him, right?
When you reached the sliding panels of the room, you took a deep breath.
Why are you even acting this way?
"Ushijima-san?" You called tentatively. You heard faint rustling from the inside and seconds later, the panels slid open.
He must've felt that you weren't following so he whipped his head back to your direction.
"You wanted to talk to me?" You asked, still standing outside the room.
Ushijima didn't answer and instead turned his back on you to walk back inside the room.
"Are you just going to stand there?"
You felt your ire rising once again, "I must've missed it when you said 'come in." You replied with full sarcasm.
If he noticed it, he didn't show.
"Come in and sit here." He gestured to the chair in front of the desk.
You stepped inside the study, observing the room since it's your first time inside. Thick books lined the shelves on the right side of the wall while a huge framed picture hung on the other side -a picture of your grandfather's family when your mother and uncles were still children, and your grandmother was still alive. Your gaze lingered on their faces so you didn't notice when Ushijima sat on the chair in front of you.
He cleared his throat to get your attention.
"First is about Bokuto."
"I wanted to talk to you and there are two reasons why." He started abruptly.
It caught you off-guard but you composed yourself in no time. You silently nod your head to urge him to continue.
"What about Kotaro?" You asked with a raised brow. You already had a hunch but asked anyway. You almost wanted to roll your eyes.
"In case you haven't noticed it yet, Hoshina likes him."
"And?"
"They were close before but ever since you entered the picture, it seems Kotaro's attentions are now focused on you, and it seems you feel the same way about him but if you want to have a peaceful relationship with your cousin, stay away from Bokuto. You don't want to hurt her, do you?"
You don't know why but it was if a thousand needles pricked your heart. It wasn't because of what Ushijima said, it was because of how he said it.
You wanted to tell him that Kotaro and Hoshina are already dating but you cannot voice out the words. "Okay," was the only thing you managed to say. "What's the other reason?"
This time, Ushijima raised a brow. "What do you mean 'okay'?" You saw his face contorted in confusion even though it was the first time you did not disagree with him. "And one more thing, aren't you going to explain what I saw earlier?"
"What for? I'm sure you've already drawn your own conclusions, and for your information, I don't care what you think of it. So, is that all?"
You saw Ushijima clench his jaw and you mentally smiled.
Take that!
"Another thing," He continued. "It's about your grandfather. He was disappointed with your decision to go back to Tokyo."
"Ji-ji was disappointed?.... How come? The last we talked, he said he was fine with it." Now you're confused.
"Of course he won't say anything in your presence. He didn't want to hurt you and he knows how stubborn you are so no matter how hard he tries to stop you, you won't listen to him."
You scoffed. "That's not true!"
"It doesn't." He replied nonchalantly. "But you should know by now that I care for your grandfather deeply and I want him to be happy unlike someone here who doesn't care about his feelings."
"Not true? So you mean you won't go back? You will stay here for good?"
You gawked at him, dumbfounded. "Wait a second, why does it matter to you if I stay or not?"
"Are you referring to me?"
"I didn't say it was you, but if the shoe fits."
"Why are you silent? Did I hit home?"
You thought for a moment, perplexed at something. You told your grandfather that you were only going to take care of some unfinished businesses you have back in Tokyo and after that, you were going to stay in Miyagi for good. He was greatly delighted and even offered to send his driver with you but your last request was to let you take care of everything yourself and he was good with it.
So what is Ushijima rattling about now?
"As I said, I don't have anything to explain to you. If what you're saying is true then that's between my grandfather and me. I don't need anybody telling me that even if he's the family lawyer."
With that, you stood up and briskly walked towards the door but if you thought Ushijima would let you go just like that, then you were dead wrong.
You jumped, startled, when he grabbed your shoulder and turned you around to face him.
"Let me go." You growled.
"What're you gonna do if I don't?"
"I'm going to scream and everyone will know that you're harassing me."
He chuckled darkly. "Go ahead, scream."
That was the warning before his hot lips landed on yours. His kiss was searing and demanding, rendering you immobile. For a second, you forgot how to think but you willed your mind to function again. You kept your lips firmly closed and feigned unaffected by the kiss.
"Open your mouth and kiss me back," Ushijima muttered huskily as his lips trailed down your chin, towards your neck -sucking and biting, marking.
You opened your mouth to protest but the incoherent words came out slurred as the pleasure hit you. You swore you might have moaned. "No.." You said and that was your mistake.
Ushijima was waiting for your lips to open because as soon as you parted them, he swiftly glided his tongue inside.
You knew that your body is starting to betray you, in fact, your hands that used to push him away fare now pressed against his nape, deepening his kiss. The urge to close your eyes and feel the pleasurable sensation overpowered you.
"I want you, y/n. Tell me you want me too." He purred.
You let out another moan as his hand roamed inside your shirt and cupped your breast. You could feel the heat pooling down your middle.
" I'll give you everything better than this so leave Bokuto to Hoshina."
You froze. Your body went rigid and mustering all the willpower you have left, you pushed Ushijima away from you.
"Y/n-"
"So this is what it's all about!" You spat and he stared at you, puzzled. "Don't worry Ushijima-san, I got your message loud and clear but you didn't have to pretend just to get what you want."
"What are you saying?"
"Don't give me that! If you don't what Hoshina to get hurt then I sure as hell also don't. I am her cousin and I don't want to ruin our relationship." That was the lasting thing you said to him before you scurried out of the study. You ignored his persistent calls and dodged his advances. You wanted to get away from him -fast, you don't want him to see the hot tears that formed in your eyes. You don't want him to know that you are hurt.  That yes, you do want him, so damn much it hurts.
Even without him telling you that, you don't plan on intervening between Hoshina and Kotaro's budding relationship. Because first of all, you don't like Kotaro that way and even if you did, you're willing to give way for Hoshina.
You wanted to bash your head against the wall for being an idiot, a fool for believing that what Ushijima did was because of something he felt for you.
Didn't Kotaro say that he was jealous?

Now everything is clear to you. He wasn't jealous, he was mad at you for being close to Kotaro because it will hurt Hoshina.

Title: Let's Fall In Love Part 1
Pairings: Nishinoya x fem! Reader
Warnings: None
Word Count: 3000+
••••
You looked around you to see if you knew someone at this place but all you see is unfamiliar faces, you sighed before fishing your phone out of your pocket, you typed a message and sent it immediately.
After placing your phone back to your pocket you heard squeals nearby, your eyes landed in a group of girls surrounding a tall guy weaing glasses.
“Oikawa-san, can we take a picture?”
The guy smiled and looked at the short girl in front of him while the other girls surrounding him was obviously dying because of his smile.
You just raise your brows and proceeded to walk away so you could finally watch your cousin play.
“Oh, hello. I'm Y/N I'm Hinata Shoyo's cousin. Nice to meet you all.”
“Oh! Hinata told us you'll be coming, the game already started. They lost the first set.” you gasped and immediately looked at where the players are just to see your ginger cousin looking so serious.
You bit your lower lip and guilt filled your heart, you kinda get lost on your way here that's why you were so late.
When the second set of the game started and they scored you silently screamed. You don't know Hinata's teammates yet but those determined look on their faces makes you want to cheer for them aside from the fact that you're here to support Shoyo.
You witnessed how Hinata became fond of volleyball as he talked about his idol, the little giant. You're just a few years older than him but you've seen how he grew up loving volleyball even if his height became some sort of hindrance.
You couldn't help but be proud of how far he is to the old Shoyo, if they win this match this is their ticket to the nationals, Shoyo's goal.
“They're trouble.” you commented as you look at the players of Shiratorizawa. Yachi was able to hear you and she immediately looked up at you, “H-How can you say so?” you narrowed your eyes as you stare at the players on the other side of the court, those stern faces are obviously full of pride and for them to have such pride, they must have the talent as well.
“Their eyes screams determination and pride. It is ideal to have the confidence in matches like this and they must be confident because I've heard that they've been into Nationals but their own pride may become their own destruction in this match as well.”
Yachi blinked for numerous times with her mouth gaped open, you noticed her silence and you looked down at her. “Sorry, did I say too much?” you smiled awkwardly and Yachi immediately blushed as she shook her head.
“Ah no! No! You just seems so smart and you're so—so pretty.”
“Thanks for thinking so..”
You also blushed and focused on the game once more and you saw Karasuno's libero trying to chase the ball with all his might but he failed.
For a guy who's small, he's energetic and he's also fast, you can even tell that he's an outstanding libero just by the way he holds himself inside the court, not to mention that he's good looking, the blond bangs is a big plus in his looks as well. You blushed when you realized that you were too focused on him and shook your head to snap out of the spell that little guy has put into you.
“Ugh, the guy's serving again.” Saeko said as she looked at the big guy on the other side of the court.
“Monster.” you whispered silently, that dude is obviously a monster. His posture screams dominance, it was as if he's silently declaring that he owns the court, that he owns the game.
When Shoyo entered the court your eyes literally shone in glee. You clapped so hard and shouted in top of your lungs.
“Go, Shoyo!!”
Hinata was surprised to hear you shout but he waved anyways and winked, you smiled at him while waving and suddenly your gaze landed at their libero once more.
Nishinoya was frozen in his position when he saw you standing beside Yachi, he has no idea who you are but you're probably Hinata's friend. Noya's expertise is spotting real beauty in every place despite of the fact that he's crushing hard on their manager.
His admiration for Kiyoko has become a common joke among the team but he wouldn't deny the fact that he is indeed attracted to her but not to the point that he'll court her or other stuffs.
As he looked in your direction, his eyes met yours and the two of you are frozen. Your breathing hitched for an unknown reason, his eyes are intense, despite of being a small munchkin those eyes made your knees weak for an unknown reason.
You kept on telling yourself to look away and focus on your cousin but he's not looking away either and you can't let yourself be defeated.
More seconds has passed and no one's backing down not until you heard the crowd shouting, your eyes widened and you looked at Shoyo's direction just to see his spike get blocked by the red haired guy.
You worriedly looked at Shoyo and you bit your lower lip as you tightened your grip on your sling bag as you close your eyes for a silent prayer.
Nishinoya smirked as he witnessed that. It was amusing, really, because that nervous look on your face feels like you're the one playing in the court, damn, he loves how adorable it was.
He let out a deep breath and fixed his posture, now, he just feels himself become more determined to win, he doesn't know if it is because of you or it is because he wants to cheer up his team, either way, his desire to win is burning.
He's gotta prove himself now.
When Hinata was able to score you screamed just the same time that he did and you laughed. “Shoyo hasn't change much through these years. I'm glad.” you whispered.
You can still see that small child you used to take care of before, Hinata has always been a happy virus, he's good at influencing everyone's feelings and it is one of his remarkable traits that you've loved.
But when your gaze landed at Nishinoya, who jumped so high you couldn't help but chuckle at his similarity with your cousin, it may appear that they're twins.
“Number 5 has been playful in guessing where to block. Since most of his intuitions were right he'll end up being too confident, once that happens they should lead him as far as possible and then prepare to attack.”
“Oh YN, you're smart!” Saeko commented and you shook your head, damn you didn't notice that you talked out loud.
“Shoyo's stamina and his speed could be annoying sometimes especially if you're the one being fooled by him. That brat kept on running away from me when he was a kid every damn time it's time for him to sleep.”
You smiled upon seeing how he scored again and everyone around you also clapped. “You sounded like a Mother eh? You're so mature.” Saeko smiled and you smiled back.
•••
When Ushijima go for a spike, you saw three blockers from Karasuno jumped but you smirk upon knowing what they did. “They opened a path for their libero.” you looked at Nishinoya who was able to dug the ball and kept it on air, you saw him sat on the floor as he breathes heavily.
That spike was surely strong, it would probably kinda painful too, Nishinoya looked into your direction and your eyes widened, you immediately looked away and turned to their setter instead.
Nishinoya smirked, “Too late sugar plum, I've been watching you watch me since earlier.” he whispered.
“What are you saying Noya? By the way nice receive!” Daichi complimented and Noya just smiled.
“No, you guys are the reason why I got it.”
Saeko gasped and she looked at you, “So they didn't put three blockers to stop him?” you nodded and smiled as you glanced at Nishinoya, “They cornered him so he would be forced to go for that spike, a spike that landed to where their talented libero is placed. Directly blocking forceful spikes from that guy would be bothersome and dangerous for their fingers but if they can corner him to spike on the direction of their powerful libero the ball will be theirs.” Yachi nodded knowingly as she made a mental note to remember this tactic.
“Are you a volleyball player too YN-san?”
“I was. I hated sweating too much though so I stopped playing. I prefer using my brain than my body.”
•••
“Your brother is smart.” you told Tsukishima's brother, he smiled at you and rubbed his nape, “He may look spiritless most of the times but yeah, he is smart and the more he feels down the more he became strong.” you nod and looked back at the court.
“The pressure is on their setter, your brother is doing good in being able to touch those spikes, nothing hurts a setter's pride than those and the total blocks of course. The more the pressure, the more they'll change their pace. At that time they may lose their balance.”
You looked at how Hinata saved the ball and you got worried for him but he stood up like it was nothing and attacked. You sighed in relief as you touched your chest, “Shoyo will be the death of me.” you breathed out and Yachi giggled beside you, “It really is scary when they chase the ball with everything they got.” she told you and you totally agreed.
Another powerful spike was given by Ushijima and you gasped after seeing Nishinoya saved the ball, it was beyond amazing, you imagined yourself being the one in his place and you can already tell you might end up with tons of bruises because of that man's spikes.
But even if that spike must've been painful to receive you see nothing but determination in Nishinoya. He's a strong willed soldier, a man probably destined to be a libero.
Karasuno took that set but Shiratorizawa wasn't fazed at all. Another spike from Ushijima came, Nishinoya tried to save the ball but he fell on his back because of the impact.
You worriedly glanced at him, your hand flew to cover your mouth as you gasp, the long haired guy come to his side to check on him but Nishinoya stood up by himself with a dangerous look on his face.
“He has the advantage of being the biggest among us but that fact wouldn't affect me as a libero because in this court no one is equal to him but me.”
•••
It was the final set, a serve that you thought it wouldn't even make it in, has passed the net and Nishinoya immediately saved it with all his might.
Ushijima spiked it down but Nishinoya saved it for another time and later on they scores when Asahi hit it. Everyone went wild including you, you held Yachi's hands, “YES!!!!” you screamed loudly.
Nishinoya heard that unfamiliar voice scream so he took a glance on your direction just to see you cheering with Yachi, he smirked and looked at Daichi, “Thanks, Nishinoya!” Daichi told him and Nishinoya proudly looked at his captain.
“Karasuno can depend on me!”
You heard that shout and looked at Nishinoya's direction, when his eyes met yours he smiled at you, at first you didn't know what to do and you wanted to just look away but that would be impolite.
So you chose to give him a small smile as your cheeks reddened because of embarrassment.
Nishinoya gulped hard at the smile he had received from you and he looked behind him trying to see if that smile was for someone else but no one was in his back, meaning, that smile was meant for him.
Your heart was beating fast when you see Karasuno prepare for a synchronize attack, everything depends on every point and when you saw Hinata jumped your breathing hitched and it almost feel like your heart rate dropped after speeding up just seconds ago.
Hinata hit the ball but it was saved by Ushijima, it was spiked once more and Hinata was hit by the ball, you gasped and immediately called out his name. “Shoyo!!” you held your chest and tried calming yourself when you saw him got up as if it was nothing.
Ball was exchanged in a breathtaking manner and you almost had a heart attack they prepared for another synchronized attack this time, “First tempo...” you breathed out when you saw Hinata mixed in and as he jumped it seems like he was flying.
He hit the ball and as it flew towards the other side of the net receivers tried diving in to get the ball but it already dropped on the floor.
There was a stunned silence amongst the crowd and at that moment all you could hear was your heartbeat. You see Hinata landed on his feet while breathing heavily and at that moment the crowd has gone crazy to cheer the new champions.
Tears started forming at the corner of your eyes as you see the whole team hugged each other, it was a heartwarming moment, and the way each player held into each other made you tear up.
Your eyes landed on Hinata and you smiled even if he's not looking at you, you were there when he came home when he lost the match when he was in Junior high school. You were also there when he begged you to let him practice with your teammates so he could be good in volleyball.
Before you see Hinata's smile right now, you've heard his cries first, you witnessed him cry out of frustration before seeing him like this.
And you must say his hard works are all worth it.
•••
After the awarding ceremony you prepared to leave just like the others but before you could even leave, Shoyo already shouted your name as he held his medal.
“YN-SAN! WE WON! WE WON!”
He was hopping playfully as he charged himself towards you to hug you. You laughed and hugged him back, you're basically lifting him so you tapped his arm, “Shoyo, you're not a kid anymore, I can't carry you around like I used to.” you joked but he just giggled as he took his medal off his neck.
He jumped to wore it on you and you looked at him cluelessly, “Y/N L/N the best big sister ever!” you blinked and suddenly you felt tears streaming down your cheeks.
“I'm proud of you Shoyo. I'm so damn proud of you.” you took off your neck and give it back to him with a smile, you pat his head as he giggle and your eyes landed at his teammates, they were smiling at the two of you so you smiled back.
“Congratulations.” you bow your head down for a bit and they did the same.
Nishinoya's eyes are sparkling as he look at you but you didn't notice that. He wanted to introduce himself but he doesn't want to ruin your beautiful moment with Shoyo.
“I have to go now, Shoyo.”
“But we just met! We're gonna celebrate, come with us! Come with us!”
“Shoyo, Kuro and I will—”
Hinata glared at you as he pointed his team, “You came to watch us but you'll see Nekoma?!” you laughed and shook your head, it is true that you're friends with the players from Nekoma but the reason why you have to call Kuro is because you asked a favor from him.
“Aren't they your friends too?”
“But I'm your cousin!”
Childish. That's the word you'll use to describe him but you can't resist that cute pout on his cute face.
•••
“Shoyo, wake up idiot.” you shook Hinata but he's still sleeping, Nishinoya on the other hand was sitting in front of you and he's half-asleep.
“You look horrified YN-san. Don't worry, they're just tired. Nishinoya and Tanaka sometimes fall asleep with their eyes half open too so don't be scared.” Sugawara smiled at you as he handed you a juice, you gladly accepted it and drink some before sighing as you look at your cousin once more.
“Ahm guys, thank you for taking care of my cousin. I know that Shoyo is sometimes too hyper. Sir and Coach thank you for guiding him.” you bowed to all of them but everyone shook their heads, “No, no, you don't have to thank us. Hinata is a good player.” Daichi smiled.
Nishinoya woke up and his eyes immediately met yours, you let out a sound of surprise when he suddenly sat up but you ended up smiling as you see how he looked. Noya smiled back and wiped his mouth, you silently chuckled because of his gesture and seconds later you heard your phone beeped.
“Uh-Oh, Shoyo your Mom is texting me. We have to go." You shook him but he's still unresponsive, you felt bad to wake him up but you just have to go home, “Ugh, I think I should leave him here. Ahm wake him up once you guys are gonna go. My house is a bit far so I really have to go.” you looked at your cousin and pat his head, “Sleep well you little monster. Please take care of Hinata for me, sorry for the trouble.” you bowed to his teammates and they stood up to bow down too.
“Thank you for cheering for us.”
“Oh, that's nothing. It's nice to meet you all, see you soon.”
“Take care YN-San.”

You were walking as you put your earphones to listen to some music but you suddenly heard someone shouting behind you.
“Oh...Nishinoya, why?”
“I asked Shoyo where—” he paused, catching his breath as he look at you, “I asked him where you live and my house is a little near yours. Would you mind if I go with you?” you suddenly felt your cheeks heating up, you had to look away from Nishinoya and mutter a response to his question.
Noya smiled at how you reacted, “So, you're Shoyo's cousin. You're tall.” you looked at him and chuckled as you shrugged your shoulders, “I stopped growing years ago. You'll probably be taller than me in no time.” you replied, still avoiding his gaze.
“Is that an attempt to cheer me up? I don't really mind my height.”
“I'm glad that you don't you look...” you paused for a moment to think of the proper choice of words but your mind just went blank when Noya suddenly walked in front of you with a smirk.
This is why you wanted to go home early, there's something in Nishinoya's presence that makes you weak and even if you're a little taller than him, he can affect you more than you can affect him.
“I look what?”
“Fine. You're also a great libero, the double save was amazing, not to mention your sets.”
“You're beautiful.”
He said it like it was nothing and you wondered if he's joking or not but you've decided not to comment anything about it.

“Y/N, can I get your SNS accounts and your number?”
You took his phone from his hands and typed your Social Media Accounts before giving it back to him. “Thanks for walking with me. I appreciate it.” you took the key of the gate of your house while Nishinoya watch you.
“Your parents are not yet home?”
“They only come home on Weekends. I live alone in Weekdays.”
“What? You should go inside then, don't come out of the house at night. If you need something always buy them at morning but if it's something that you really need you can call me and I'll bring it to you just don't come out alone. It's safer for you to stay inside.”
You laughed at his long speech and he narrowed his eyes at you unamused that you chose to laugh at his kindness. “Hey, I'm serious. It's dangerous for a young lady to stay outside at night. You should ask Shoyo to stay with you sometimes, even though it's not much it would be better if there's someone with you.” Noya has no idea why you're laughing at his sentences, he's genuinely worried for you, it's not really ideal for a young lady to be alone, he should tell Hinata to stay with you at some days of the week.
“Don't get too worried Nishinoya. My Dad taught me martial arts. Thanks for walking me home. Congratulations super libero.”
“Go inside first before I go home. Lock the gate, your door and windows.”
“Yes Dad!”

Hello there!
How are you today? I'm too shy to come off of anon but I would like to say how much I absolutely adore your writing, especially your Gojo fics! I have a confession to make; I never really was one to read 'character a x reader' fics bc one time, it had some horrid characterization and I never went back. But YOU. YOU ABSOLUTELY BEAUTIFUL HUMAN BEING HAVE CHANGED ME! when I read, 'slippery when wet' I was completely hooked to your writing! I can say with full confidence that your characterization of Gojo is probably one of, if not, my favorite. I love how you nailed Gojo's character; you made him be a flirty, playful guy who's also still a huge goof but can still be serious when need be but not too much. Now, I like me some smut but there's just something about implied sexual content writing that hits different because when you manage to mesh it with fluff on the side, it's just *chef's kiss*. Like no joke, when I was reading how Gojo was in 'Slippery When Wet' I was like 'oh - OH I see you Gojo!' and he was just so entertaining. Like, Gojo is such a little shit but that's part of his charm LOL
Oh! And some other fics I loved from you is 'Desolate'! I love how you this part in particular, "Maybe it’s the adrenaline or maybe he’s losing it, but he can see him. He can see the Reaper hovering, greedy and impatient. His bones rattle as he tries to still the healing hands that flutter over your body. It’s a dance as old as time, a tug of war too many lose too soon." I don't know but I just love how you depicted the grim Reaper and how you described Shoko being 'hooe' since she is the one that can perform the reverse curse technique. And then another fic I love from you is 'Lovers in D Minor' because the way you wrote it was so well done. Like you didn't even describe the surroundings of Gojo and "y/n" but your writing gave me an idea of what it all could be and shit, I'm sorry I'm so bad at describing this but I guess what I'm trying to say is that you know someone's really good at writing and evoking feelings in readers through their writing when they're able to imagine the entire story unfolding as they read along (psst, that someone is you!). There's something about that atmosphere you've created in 'Lovers in D Minor' that makes me feel so warm inside. Not the kind of warm you'd get from cuddling up in front of the fireplace after coming inside from braving the cold winter storm but the kind of warm where you're lying in bed in your lover's embrace with nothing but the moonlight illuminating your figures. And the atmosphere is just so carefree and tender and it's one of those moments where Gojo isn't cracking an dick jokes. He's still playful but in such a loving 'Gojo way' if that makes sense?
My gosh I'm so sorry for kinda going off on a bit of a ramble but I hope you know that I love your writing because it's wonderful!
Anon, I don’t even know what to say. This is possibly the sweetest most kind thing anyone has ever said to me about my writing. I am just speechless. I want to cry, you are so sweet and wonderful.
I’ve been having a lot of writer’s block lately and hearing you say this is motivation for me to push through. I never imagined my silly little stories would impact anyone, let alone to this extent. I hope I can continue to bring you and others joy through written word.
There’s so much I want to say but like I said, I’m kind of dumbfounded and speechless. Just know you have made me so happy. Thank you for your support, please don’t ever apologize for reaching out. I would love to speak to you again, so please don’t be shy. I heart you, dear anon! Hope you have a wonderful day! ❤️❤️❤️
