......OKAY SO, i swear to god this is the most self indulgent shit but I gotta give a teensy bit of context first.

Surkie goes into enw as effectively a drk+rpr since rpr for her is more of an augment onto her preexisting classes? She doesn't use a rpr jobstone nor does she have a proper avatar, as she kind of just got dragged to Drusilla after she summoned a voidsent into her. That voidsent was Diarmuid Ua Duibhne, something she'd actively researched and sought out due to his supposed status as one of the very first voidsent who might have sympathy to her plight to restore the void with Cylva.

This is Diarmuid, btw:

His size is very fluid and he just kinda hangs out in Surkie's head. He's got a more humanoid form that looks like a devil trigger out of DMC and remembers what he used to look like as a mortal, but that's not something he ever shows to anyone.

Reaper is a compromise between him and Surkie due to their vastly different fighting styles (her being a drk main, him...well when he was alive he often used a sword and a spear in tandem with each other and had two sets so 4 weapons in total, the tails kinda echo back to that). So while Surkie is still dominantly a drk, stuff involving Diarmuid involves summoned scythes and whatnot since them learning something together was better than trying to find a balance between existing styles.

This is all to say that at the end of enw, in order to keep her alive, Diarmuid ends up partly fusing with Surkie to get her back to the Ragnarok, and they're kinda stuck together now. She's half voidsent now, it's fucked her up fundamentally, he's stuck on the Source, and now Surkie has a Devil Trigger.

Like. Seriously. It's in part designed after Diarmuid and his humanoid form, but also in part inspired by her dark knight glam from post stb-enw, which ends up getting destroyed - which is this set below, main piece being the Behemoth King top. Reason being is the Sin DT forms are based on suits of armor, with Dante's being more european armor while Vergil's is clearly samurai armor.

She lost this armor set at the end of ENW after it kind of became her identity. It got worn down from how she channels aether - which she wasn't even aware of doing, but it was what in part destroyed her first and favorite spear, nearly destroyed her Captain's naginata, and then decimated her armor. Granted, what dealt the final blow was the fight against Zenos, but her aether warped the plate so heavily that it was unsalvageable. It's what ends up leading to her post enw look with the Troian gear, which was tailored specifically to her insane and uncontrollable aether.

But this also means it's easy for her to suddenly swap into that voidsent form/DT.

She gets a hang of slipping in and out of it and she winds up fighting MOST OF THE 6.X BOSSES ON HER OWN. Initially it was just because I'm Fucking Gay and I wanted her and Barbariccia to go one on one (*COUGHS*), but then it led into her being the only one to take on Rubicante, and then ofc it just fit to have her go after Golbez on her own. As that DT. Rest of the team joins her for Zeromus, but regardless she still just went stupid crazy DT form against these guys and walked out of it alive.

..............................................................................and this form is also responsible for an uh. Incident. that results in their fifth child, Tseren, whose bio parents are surkie and ysayle.

and they don't learn about this until the Rubicante fight where Ysayle was going to get involved in the fight, but he refused to fight her on the grounds of her. yknow.

There have been quite a few ups and downs in the six or so years since Corisande left their home for Eorzea and ended up joining the Scions. They've changed for the better in some ways--learned more about the world, expanded their horizons exactly as they always wanted; and for the worse in others--more reluctant than ever to burden others with their problems. But they are still the same at their core: a warm, kindhearted bun who wants to help others, learn about the world, and can be found, more often than not, wandering the nearest woods with their oldest friend.

So I'm new here. Is wol Emm the same as the Emm in Canon, in that he won't really play the part of bumbling idiot dandy anymore, come HW, or is he from a separate timeline thrust into canon?

If I'm understanding the question correctly

WoL! Emmanellain's story starts with him leaving Ishgard in ARR in a fit - an argument with his father or Artoriel that got out of hand

Ended up getting caught up in the Scions business and then learning he had this super special gift that makes him invaluable to fighting primals so he can't really go home anymore he's needed elsewhere, too many people will die if he doesn't fight

But he's still the same Emmanellain - grew up a noble, third born, fear of the Fury and dragons, etc. Still a cowardly idiot dandy but forced down the path of a hero.

Literally screaming and crying while fighting Ifrit.

Does Shiun have a favorite color? Favorite food? Is he any good at cooking?

Does Shiun have a favorite color?

Yes! He's a goth at heart, so he's very fond of the color black. Most of his outfits are black or dark grey. If he has to choose another color, oftentimes he will go with wine red or gold- which are the traditional colors of the Malaguld tribe.

Favorite food?

He likes anything with a hearty portion of meat. He's a full-blooded carnivore, and will tear through a full roasted dzo leg like a it's nothing.

On the down-low, he's also got a massive sweet tooth. He tries to hide it because he thinks it makes him look less cool, but he likes to snack on chocolate cake and fudge cookies.

Is he any good at cooking?

Nope! He sucks at cooking. Don't eat anything Shiun cooks or you'll end up in the infirmary with the worst stomach ache of your life. Doesn't matter what the recipe is, he will find a way to fuck it up as spectacularly as possible. He was banned from cooking duty pretty quickly, for everyone's safety.

What's a trait in others that your character can't stand? Is that because it's something they don't like in general, or do you think it's more a reflection of how they seem themselves/the world?

Yuzu is bold, hot-headed, and always ready to throw herself into the thick of things. She seems like the type who would despise cowards, right? Well, not really. If someone doesn't think they can handle a fight and would prefer to run? Fine. Call that a tactical retreat.

It's indecisiveness that really steams her. Those who can never seem to arrive at a decision, ANY decision. Someone who can't commit to any course of action for any length of time. Perpetual fence-sitters. Whether you decide to fight or decide to run, that's up to you — just make the godsdamned choice.

Ask any merchant of Ul'dah, and they'll tell you how much they love selfless customers. Anyone so eager and willing to part with their gil — especially, supposedly, for a good cause? That must be a gift from the Traders themselves. On the surface, Esca would agree. As she has ambitions that go beyond increasing profits, easily-manipulated individuals are invaluable assets.

At her core, however, Esca cannot stand selflessness. Where's your pride? Your backbone? Your self-preservation? It's disgraceful, if not downright dangerous.

And besides, she's watched too many loved ones set themselves on fire to keep others warm. Seen too many who are willing to throw themselves onto the pyre in service to some greater purpose, caring not one whit about those they leave behind. If she cares for you (or at least has a plan for you), you're going to live whether you like it or not.

When it comes to Armaia's line of work, indifference is equal to malice.

Mammet creation is a delicate endeavor. To her, they're more than just tools or machines: they're unique creations designed to enrich the lives of others. She believes that, just like humans, mammets are capable of both great and terrible things — it all depends on the will of their creators. A careless mammet engineer could lead to a malfunctioning machine, which in turn could lead to any number of unfortunate (or even lethal) accidents.

Prior to dropping out of the Studium, Armaia's worst fear came to pass: one of her mammet prototypes malfunctioned and injured some of her fellow students. She attributed this failure to a number of things: carelessness, her own ineptitude, and an overall failure to live up to the standards expected in her department. Since then, she's developed a zealous passion for her craft, often consumed by her work. Anything less than utter devotion is unacceptable.

Mirou is a pretty simple man: he loves to observe people, to study them and all their quirks and contradictions. He can be tolerant of —or even amused by — some traits that others might consider annoying or insufferable. There is one trait that he cannot stand, though, and that is pushiness. He will dig in his heels and avoid doing anything that's asked of him — even if it's in his best interest.

This is not because he delights in being contrarian. Mirou was raised in a rigid, structured environment with little allowance for deviation. Those that bent would be the ones to break. Ever since he broke away from that place, Mirou's independence will always be his first priority, sometimes to his own detriment.

(( everyone answering my poll and asking the question of "how does a sight based illusion disguise the sound of heavy armour ", you get it. you understand why im insane and asking about something that is shown in game. Also consider your wol going somewhere warm and over heating despite looking like they are wearing something breezy and light when they are actually in multiple layers of mail, leather, and metal plating. Your wol tripping because someone walked on their cape because they couldnt see it. Your wol forgetting the dimensions of their armour because its been glamoured so long and they bumping into stuff by accident. Like yeah sorry if it seems like a dumb question to pose because they game says xyz but im just thinking about things with a touch of realism because its fun to over analyze stuff ))

Where is the most unusual place they've fallen asleep? (for Ki'to, Lohi, and Orias :y)

Oh boy, where to even begin with Lohi honestly? xD

For Ki'to, the most unusual place is probably in the middle of an alliance meeting. It was after a while with very little sleep, and they understood, but it was embarrassing. xD

For Lohi, this man could sleep folded up in a wastebin, and he has! He's also fallen asleep on top of a bookshelf, the couch in the Rising Stones solar while Minfilia was meeting with someone, the sky bridge in Mor Dhona, next to the hearth in Haurchefant's office. He's not even embarrassed by it anymore. Just gets up, apologizes, and goes on his merry way.

For Ori, I think the only time she's ever been caught sleeping somewhere weird is when Hien caught her passed out by a stream in the Steppe. She got up early to go stretch and meditate, and then passed tf out.

Thank you @spyscrapper for the ask! And also for alerting me to the fact that my asks were broken aslkfjsdlkgjdfklg HOME: Aramond was born in Ishgard, in the Brume. He left when he was very young, and did not call it home or think of it as such for over a decade. Still, he did eventually return to the Holy See. Over the course of the Dragonsong War ending and throughout the reformation, he has developed a kinship with the people of Ishgard that he never felt as a child. He does see Ishgard as his nation now, for all her faults and fractures. He has no regrets about leaving, but he has come to realize that he can have a hand in making Ishgard better than it was, and that cause has become very meaningful to him.

DEATH: Aramond lost his mother when he was fifteen. Her health deteriorated over the course of several months, so there was a prolonged period of mourning. They had no other living family, so it fell to Aramond to care for her until she passed. He couldn't confide his fears or his grief in her. There was nothing for it but to push those feelings aside. The task of caring for her distracted him from processing the eventual loss, and he welcomed that. He wasn't prepared when the time did come. It was devastating to lose the only family he had left. He doesn't remember much beyond wandering through the Brume, searching for someone to help him with the body. Eventually one of the temple knights took pity and came to his aid. LEAVE: After his mother passed, Aramond was offered a place to stay by a local shop-owner, an apothecary he'd met while searching for a cure. The man recognized his talent for magic right away and offered to teach him. But Aramond's thirst for knowledge and the freedom it brought grew quickly. For a child raised in the Brume, who had lost almost everything, even a taste of power could be addictive. He grew curious about the magicks the apothecary would not allow him to study, and stole some of the tomes he'd been forbidden to touch. He practiced the spells within in secret for almost a year. When he was discovered and reprimanded, his shame drove him to run away. He'd just turned sixteen when he fled to Ul'dah. He found a place in the Thaumaturge's guild there, and the city eventually became his home. LOSS: This ties in with the responses above, but loss has been a defining experience for Aramond throughout his life. If not his mother, his first significant loss probably happened before he was even born: his father died while his mother was still pregnant. Even though he never knew the man, Aramond felt his absence keenly. His mother worked herself sick to provide for them. The people of the Brume constantly commented on his resemblance to a man he would never meet. Aramond carried a lot of bitterness toward his father, and toward his circumstances in general, for a long time. Only recently has he developed a more nuanced understanding of who his father probably was: another Ishgardian soldier sent off to battle with dragons, never to return. Someone who likely had no choice in the matter. Aramond has seen that he's not the only one with such a story to tell. These days, he's focused less on what he's lost and more on what can be done to prevent others from growing up without a home, without a family. "For those we've lost, and for those we can yet save" has become a particularly poignant mantra for him. He keeps it close at hand for those times when grief threatens to take hold.

Annual Amorous Asks

Forest trails on the cusp of winter -- that moment right as autumn is ending and winter is soon felt upon the land. Sure, Nomin hates the cold, and has made this evident. However...the crisp air and slight chill reminds her -- reminds them -- of Sharlayan where they finally allowed themselves to bare their emotions to one another.

Though Sharlayan itself is too stuffy and perhaps a bit alienating to the both of them, that chill -- that crisp feeling. It tickles those memories. That elation.

I'd like to imagine that Nomin and Estinien, if they want to do something special, will go somewhere where the air isn't quite frigid to make it uncomfortable for Nomin. Somewhere where the trees are saying goodbye to their leaves as they go from fiery hues to being dead and brown, falling to the ground. From there, a clear night, the velvety sky speckled with countless stars that stretch on and on and on.

10 What scares them about entering a relationship?

Her inexperience, in that she'd never had any sort of romantic feelings, never had any sort of relationships before, so she had absolutely no idea what she was doing or what she was supposed to do and she constantly worried about screwing it up.

And, related to that... losing her best friend. If she DID screw it up, not only would she lose the one she loved, but also the only real friend she'd ever had, the person who'd become pivotal to her everyday life. And so she'd rather keep him as a friend and never act on her feelings, than risk admitting them and losing the only person she's ever cared about. Thankfully, it all worked out in the end.
