@furrymakerkid asked: writing request for you sweet mun. Minato was too smart to know no feeling was good. How did he cope with it? He didn't have Jiraiya Kushina or his team in the beginning.

Here’s a short answer: He didn’t.

Warning: Kinda dark and maybe NSFW if you squint. Possible triggers may include blood, gore and morbidity [it’s war, ne? Although I’ve restrained my descriptions...er, tried to. I hope you can read it, @furrymakerkid]

The trees whispered in soft, breathy murmurs as a gentle wind meandered past their many, leaf laden branches. All was calm, almost eerily silent sans the constant patter of boots against the bare crumble of rock; hushed whispers that were broken by the faint whistle of weapons and the occasional intake of breath. The usually relentless, rough soil was wet, almost muddy; yet there had been no downpour in weeks.

The land of Tsuchi no Kuni wept, while the heavens above bled. The glowing embryo of the sun surrendered to a cocoon of fluffy cumulus, lofty rays bleeding shades of red and orange across the darkening skies as a massacre quietly unfolded below; a beautiful painting, if only in the nature of its innate, organized chaos.

It would be nightfall soon.

“...”

It didn’t matter who raided which settlement first. What mattered was the fact that both sides had to keep an even body count. The dictum regarding warfare they were taught in the academy hardly covered such tactics; a few measly lectures so that bright eyed academy students wouldn’t take the trade less seriously.

It was all fun and games until someone lost a limb on their first field mission. Minato, in that regards, had been rather lucky. Where most cadets would rely on a team to ensure the success of a raid, all he needed was a handful of kunai.

He had always been ridiculously fast - even by regular standards.

The metal loop settled comfortably against his palm as tan digits curled around the hilt, seamlessly pushing it through with one, smooth movement before wrenching the weapon sideways, slicing the unexpected chest like one would tear open a package. Bloodied entrails followed the blade’s wake; peeking out of the soft folds of uneven, torn skin as the still pumping organ convulsed uselessly against twisting branches.

It was a quick execution; a means he had devised after their last field run. The metal loop of his kunai swung easily around his index finger as the waste was swiped off with a sharp flick of the wrist. Blue hues barely caught the woman’s expression as she dropped to her knees; he was already moving, the chakra signatures from his earlier sensory scan twinkling like quaint little targets.

They would be quick kills, for Minato hardly had the time for mercy. A kunai through the eye for anyone stupid enough to look his way, the splattered remains of a skull of a nin ambitious enough to try and sneak up on him, whereas most of the others barely got a chance to blink before deft digits pierced their forms with relative ease. Pure chakra would bounce off his skin like a controlled gale, as his natural wind affinity reduced muscle to fleshy ribbons.

It wasn’t needlessly cruel, per se; it simply happened to be the most effective in ensuring a kill. Besides, he had stopped feeling the warmth of skewered innards ages ago.

“Kami willing may you choke on your own blood”

The words drifted into the faint breeze that swept past their drenched fields; the scent of copper and compost intermingled into a sickly fragrance which sunk into his skin, down to his very bones.

Kami willing? As if Kami existed for people like them.

And then he heard it; a constant low hum that swelled to a certain crescendo, painting his subconscious in a murmur of static. Minato blinked curiously at his quivering fingers before casting a furtive glance around the field of littered innards and crimson. Hardly a soul in sight and yet...trailing off, blue hues returned to the tremble that had somehow seeped into his wrist. He couldn’t feel the slash decorating his palm, but he could definitely see the discoloration associated with poisoned weapons. Ugly strokes of yellows and blues bloomed all over his hand like pale, deathly flowers and he nearly dropped his weapon.

Fuck.

“Er...it wasn’t your first kill, was it?” The question was asked nonchalantly enough, as practiced hands wound a roll of gauze around his discoloured counterpart. Minato shot him a flat, unimpressed look which was met with a barely concealed smirk as he tied both ends with a vicious tug.

“I mean...you never get injured.” He continued, as Minato retracted his hand, giving it an experimental poke. “Lucky for you, you got back in time otherwise you’d lose your good arm.”

He was making fun of him, wasn’t he? “Yeah. Lucky.” the blond replied, tone as dry as the man’s wit before he curled his bandaged digits, “What about the hallucinogenic side effects?”

Would it have even mattered if it had been his first kill? The nin had been alive one moment and then he just…hadn’t. Was he supposed to feel something special about that? Besides, he had attacked Minato first.

Regardless. It had been so long ago, he hardly remembered the face associated with the deed. Since his deployment at Kusa, he had killed so many more with seldom a thought that he couldn’t be bothered to remember what they looked like. His last count had been, what, thirty three consecutive solo kills in thirty minutes? That was more than one life a minute.

Mere statistics. It didn’t matter.

“Noise huh? It's the first I'm hearing of it.” Cue the methodical tap of wood against an unshaven chin, “Say, ever considered signing up for the psych evaluation thing they proposed back at HQ? I mean...there's nothing physically wrong with you. Maybe it's in your head." He placed his brush down on the makeshift table before letting out a snort, much to Minato’s chagrin.

“If what they’ve been harping about at HQ was true, we’d all be classified as nuts anyways.” The medic laughed, his grey hair reflecting warm honey in the dim lighting of the medical tent. Bemused, he took off his glasses to wipe a tear, before shooing him away with gloved digits. “Get going, Namikaze. We need you on the patrolling grounds. The war will be over soon, ne?”

Coloured hues met dark counterparts, bleeding ink and whispering false nothings.

“Ne?”

Hours turned into days, days turned into weeks, and the persistent whine in his head refused to shut up. Many an evening would witness the blond shifting his reading scroll to the side, just to press rough finger pads against his closed, burning lids.

He couldn’t recall the last time he had slept. Granted, Minato wasn’t one to sleep much to begin with; he was young, ridiculously curious and had the collective energy of twelve hyperactive gerbils. Still, he had always managed to clock in a few hours before, but this...

It was so damn loud. Minato couldn’t even concentrate for more than a few minutes before the constant low hum poked at his subconscious like a poisoned senbon. It tore at his mental-scape and sensory peripheral akin to flames consuming dry bark. Gone was his natural, healthy tan that had stayed resolute despite their meagre military rations, only to be replaced by a yellowish pallor, along with dark smudges underneath his weary hues.

A part of him was tempted to write to Jiraiya; the man always had answers to all the questions. They were in contact, of course, despite the state of the war and whatnot. Courier runs were few, but very dependable - but could he really divert the Jōnin’s attention from the frontlines where he was undoubtedly needed?

No, he couldn’t be that childish. Their local medic had dismissed his concerns too, so clearly it wasn’t that big a deal.

Right?

His seniors had different answers. Some blamed the weather, some considered the possibility that an enemy had contaminated their food supply [“I’ve been feeling kinda itchy myself.”] While some had nothing to offer at all. No answers. They figured he was finally losing his mind, after killing so many - in fact, most were still wary of him since even the older Chunin in their unit showed a little hesitance when it came to those child scouts who were no older than academy students.

But Minato? He operated on autopilot. For someone so young and without a hint of malice on his features, he was surprisingly cold hearted. Most of the new Chunin cadets steered well away from him, either in awe or fear whereas his older, more experienced counterparts often regarded him with complacent silence.

Not exactly friends, but comrades. They could probably share a few drinks together. Not converse though. Perish the thought.

The constant, low drone was driving him mad.

Arizuwa Yana; an experienced Chunin from the reserve strike unit apparently had a few theories. Said theories were dry at best, with little speculation as to the nuance of phantom sensations, though with plenty of promises of actual sensations.

Somehow, one thing had led to another and they had ended up intertwined together in one of the darker corners of the many, many tents in their unit. He was a few years younger than her, but apparently that wasn’t a problem.

Age didn't matter, gender didn't matter - nothing did.

The problem was that despite the hands ghosting his clothed sides, he still couldn’t feel anything; it was like his insides were frozen with nothing sans the constant thrum of sound for company. A frown settled between his brows at the thought as slender, yet calloused fingers tangled themselves within his hair, tugging with an odd sort of insistence.

It did nothing to quell the static he alone could still hear, could practically sense crawling under his skin like wild, feverish ants.

Static. It seemed that was the only thing he could feel these days.

And this…this wasn’t helping. Blue hues flickered to dark, older counterparts before tan digits removed themselves from the soft swell of her pretty face. “I’m sorry, senpai.” Is all he managed to say, not really sorry at all before the same fingers found her forehead, jutsu a mere whisper against her flushed skin.

Yana senpai was out cold in the span of a heartbeat. Dull orbs stared at her peaceful features for a few precious seconds before he rolled over, gaze fixed on the sloping ceiling and a forearm resting against his forehead.

Maa...what a waste.

Jiraiya sensei,

How are things at the front lines? Yuuhei taicho told us that Amegakure had officially joined the fray and you would be deployed there soon. Gambatte, sensei.

Ano…sensei, I don’t know what’s wrong with me but I’ve stopped feeling things. It started out as a weird sort of numbness, as if I was looking at the world through someone else’s eyes. I don’t even feel the sting of a cut anymore.

I’m scared. Is this a good thing? Oh by the way, you won’t believe what I found about that fuuin combination you told me about that one time. If it’s truly what you say it is, the Nindaime might have been on to something. See, if you swap the earth and wind constructs then the combination gets altered. I tried something with one of my fuuin tags today and the results were kinda wonky but in a good way. Let me know when you get this and I’ll send you all the workings I did.

Minato

He purposefully left out the bit where a part of him wanted to hide behind the elder, shaggy white mane and all, and stay in the comfort of his towering shadow. He had wanted to, though - desperately, too. But his writing brush had paused, a lone drop of ink blotting the parchment and upsetting his neat signature.

That had decided it then, hadn’t it? Gloved digits had rolled the parchment in a neat scroll, bound it with a convenient little fuuin and handed it in for the next courier run.

His paranoia was silly. Kusa was one of their priority outposts; full of experienced comrades and they were armed to the teeth. They were as safe as they would ever be. Besides, he had a near perfect kill streak - no one in their right wits would target him; Konoha’s number one rookie genius.

He felt so horribly alone though.

You’re not a child anymore, Minato.

Three weeks. No reply. The constant fighting was taking its toll on all sides; with dwindling numbers and increased recklessness. Their tiny little outpost presently served as the main rendezvous point between the frontlines fighting Iwa and the reserve forces that had set up camp a few miles away. The war would enter its final phase soon and everyone was too bone tired to complain.

Minato wanted to send another message, but if Jiraiya hadn’t had the time to respond to his previous letter…

Sigh. Clothed shoulders sagged a little while the side of his face met loosely curled digits, expression forlorn. Next to him, Inuzuka Saito quirked an eyebrow but said nothing. They were both stuck with watch duty, in case the platoon that had been sent out to assist their frontlines against Iwa a few days ago came stumbling back.

Initially, Minato had been a part of it too, but Yuuhei taicho had ordered otherwise. He and a few others would be used to sneak from behind and attack Iwa’s unguarded backs. His experimental jutsu was perfect for the purpose, and he had a near flawless strike record so far.

And in the off chance he failed? It would be...understandable. The wars saw their fair share of victims and the Memorial was an honour for any loyal, Konoha nin.

The very thought made him taste bile. Tan digits curled into a trembling fist at his knee, as frigid blue hues glared a hole through the encroaching shadows of dusk that surrounded their camp. Kusa was known for its rich forests; gigantic fauna and rivers that made it the perfect terrain to hide and lie in wait. Nightfall usually witnessed the shadows that clung to its natural, beautiful scenery slip from their places and creep inwards, bathing all matter; living and non-living, in its eerie, peaceful silence.

Yet he had not experienced any blissful silence in so long; the static was a constant thrum in his mental-scape, one he had learned to accept. The Namikaze would be damned if he lost what constituted as his sanity to a useless murmur of sound; he had not survived through the countless murders to plead death by insanity, had not endured the constant stench of rot and copper which hung around his frame like the scent of mustard oil that he used to maintain his weapons.

Had not sliced through flesh despite the whimpers begging for mercy--

Cue a shuddering sigh as eyes squeezed shut and he felt the urge to rip out his own hairs. Trembling digits inched upwards, intending to do just that before Saito’s voice broke the spell.

“Are you okay?”

“Fine.”

Namikaze Minato was going insane. Maybe he had always been insane and by Kami, he couldn’t bring himself to care anymore. Blue hues snapped open, staring listlessly at the dark and he swallowed thickly against his now dry throat. His frame tipped forwards; forearms resting against his knees as long, blond bangs hid his terrifyingly monotonous expression.

They would learn to loathe him, to fear him and he would slaughter them like the pointless sacks of meat that they we--

“Mail call!” A second interruption, though this time something actually managed to hit him in the back of his head. Fumbling hands barely caught it before it could hit the ground as the designated courier nin giggled, “Sorry, Namikaze.” Boots crunched against the leaf littered floor before he moved inside the camp, similar calls echoing in his wake. Minato blinked owlishly at the nin’s retreating figure, before shifting his gaze to the messy paper wrapping and miniature scroll that hung listlessly from one of the many corners.

It wasn’t from Jiraiya sensei.

Minato no baka,

Heard you were stuck in Kusa. That sucks ne? You’re surrounded by giant weeds and laughing shrooms. I’ve sent you some of those weird sticky quail egg things you like to cheer you up.

Guess who’ll be deployed soon. Me, that’s who! Maybe we’ll even be at the same outpost. You can show me all the nice napping spots ne? We got news the other day that the war wouldn’t last long. It’s been years already. I hope you’re still…you know, you. I miss you. Why did you stop writing?

Take care of yourself. Better not die or I’ll drag you back from the clutches of the shinigami just to kill you myself.

Kushina

Weird sticky quail egg things? Wait, was she talking about the sticky sweet beans he had accidentally spilled on her once?

“What are you grinning at?”

“Hm? Nothing, nothing.” And yet, there was something. He couldn’t help the silly little smile that tugged at his lips while his current patrol mate shot him a weird look. He was about to open his mouth to ask a second time, but then he saw the half open wrapping resting in the crook of Minato’s arm and made a quick swipe for it.

“Is that natto? Kami it’s been so long! Can I have some?”

“Sure.” Minato wasn’t even paying attention to the greedy fingers that had grabbed the miniature treats as soon as the words left his lips. Blue hues were still trained on the inky scrawl that denoted the kunoichi’s kanji. Kushina had always been an unpredictable little oddball. He didn’t even remember the last time he had written to her, but she clearly did. It made him feel strangely warm.

---And now he wanted to rip his own heart out and squeeze the treacherous, woeful thing until it would beat no more. Trembling digits rolled the scroll before a sweaty palm was pressed harshly against his aching forehead, the fingerless, leather glove providing little comfort to the uncomfortable warmth that stung his tightly closed lids.

Kami...what was wrong with him?

As if Kami existed for people like them.

AUGUST 2020 DIMENSIONS ENTERTAINMENT SCHEDULES & REVIEW

Members may earn 3 points each (up to 6 points) for writing, by the end of September 7 KST:

A solo para of 400+ words based on their monthly schedule (does not count toward your monthly total).

A thread of six posts (three per participant, including the starter) based on their monthly schedule.

Threads do not have to take place directly during an important date listed on the schedule, but must be related to what the muse is mentioned to be doing in the paragraph explaining their schedule/the company’s schedule for the month and/or their thoughts on the mentioned activities or lack thereof.

OVERALL COMPANY

Last month’s photo sessions for the base Culture Complex were a success and it seems like the project is off to a solid start, although some idols may be called back in for reshoots, especially for the 3D imaging, as necessary this month. All of the idols under BC, Dimensions, and Gold Star have been tasked with a new duty for the building this month: filming videos that will accompany some of the museum exhibits. The videos will be once again filmed in a studio, this time in front of a green screen, and the idols will be asked to talk about their feelings about important career events like their trainee days, debut, song releases, and major achievements. They will be given all of the subjects they are expected to talk about beforehand to rehearse their answers, and the director may request different wording or delivery of their answers as seen fit. (admin note: Muns have freedom about the specific topics muses are asked to talk about here within the guidelines given above, but any talk about scandalous or negative occurrences will be avoided.)

August 1-August 31: base Culture Complex museum intro videos filming (admin note: muses may encounter idols from other companies while there).

DIMENSIONS SOLOIST 1

Her comeback single is recorded, so it’s time for her to get the choreography down and optimize her performance for the catchy dance performance and charisma she’s so known for. She also has her second fittings ahead of teaser shoots and music video filming next month to decide on the final comeback wardrobe, and at the end of the month, she’ll be joining the company’s other two soloists in Los Angeles for a weekend for KCON.

Important dates:

August 23: Second MV and stage outfit fittings.

August 29: Performance at KCON LA (also performing: Dimensions Soloist 2, Dimensions Soloist 3, 7ROPHY, and Gold Star Soloist 2).

DIMENSIONS SOLOIST 2

He holds two solo concert dates in Seoul this month, where he’ll include “When You Call My Name” in his set list to give his fans a preview of his next release (and so that Dimensions can monitor fan reactions and decide how much promotion budget to give the song). The following weekend, he’s off to Los Angeles with the rest of Dimensions’ soloist roster for another KCON, this time on the west coast of the US.

DIMENSIONS SOLOIST 3

She continues to rehearse for her upcoming solo concerts this month, and will continue to be filmed throughout them for her reality show. The domestic market is by far Dimensions’ focus for her now since she’s shown such potential success in it, but they’ve decided to send their full soloist roster to KCON LA this month, which means she’s giving her first solo performance overseas this month, too.

August 29: Performance at KCON LA (also performing: Dimensions Soloist 1, Dimensions Soloist 2, 7ROPHY, and Gold Star Soloist 2).

GAL.ACTIC

August brings their ninth anniversary since debut on the 28th, thought Dimensions hasn’t organized any event for the full group to celebrate for fans in lieu of hoping to raise anticipating for tenth anniversary activities next year. Members are still encouraged by management to put some extra thought into reaching out to fans this month, though. In the meantime, they continue preparing their comeback by learning and rehearsing the choreography for the title track and the choreography for b-side “Bad Man Crying”, and attending fittings as usual. From August 23 to 26, they’ll be in Los Angeles for a festival performance.

Important dates:

August 10: MV and stage outfit fitting.

August 25: Performance at Korea Times Music Festival at the Hollywood Bowl in Los Angeles, CA, USA (also performing: Decipher, Unity, and Fuse).

ALIEN

Alien continue music show promotions throughout the month, alongside a busy schedule of fan signs. The album does well, only improving on their past sales, and the song is received well by fans despite going mostly under the radar for the public as most of their releases have since the lawsuit. The end of promotions signal continued work on their first English album as they’ve been doing for the past year or so now, as they film the MV for ”Middle of the Night”, which they’ll have finished recording in the studio earlier in the month.

August 2: Fan sign in Yongsan, Seoul.

August 9: Fan sign in Mapo, Seoul.

MARS

Preparations for MARS’s Japanese comeback continue as they’re taught the choreography for “Can’t Say” in the early weeks of the month. The wardrobe is simple for the music video this time, so they won’t have full fittings before the filming day for the music video comes on the twentieth. Mid-month, MARS are also met with the news that they’ll be making a Korean comeback in the fourth quarter and they’ll record the album in the second half of the month with a return to form of what they’re most known for: a darker concept.

August 20: “Can’t Say” MV filming.

7ROPHY

7ROPHY are fully dedicated to focusing on filming Queendom this month. For the cover song task, they’ll be covering a song originally performed by the group the NPC Soloist competing on the show originally belonged to, so the stakes are high to prove what they’ve got, especially after coming off such a successful first round for them. Full details of Queendom filming for this month can be found here. From August 28 to August 30, they’ll be in Los Angeles to perform at KCON LA.

August 24: Queendom episode three & four filming (cover song stage).

August 27: Episode one of Queendom airs.

August 29: Performance at KCON LA (also performing: Dimensions Soloist 1, Dimensions Soloist 2, Dimensions Soloist 3, and Gold Star Soloist 2).

UNITY

It’s comeback season for Unity after a full year without a comeback and it seems the wait has paid off. The comeback earns them not only the best digital charting of their careers, but also A-tier boy group physical sales and a music show win. There’s no questioning that they’re now the best-selling boy group of the company physically, even if MARS still outdoes them in the public recognition that earns high digitals. Dimensions grows more eager than ever to see the heights Unity can reach as the month draws to a close, and the general attitude of staff around them reflects both the pressure and relief of a successful comeback.

↳ CHAMPION

As Decipher finishes promoting their comeback and Unity makes their own comeback, a hold is put on touring, but BC and Dimensions have managed to land the members of the sub-unit a deal with Korean Air and they’ll be recording a special CF song for a music and safety video collaboration to bring more international attention to Korean Air following CHAMPION”s success overseas and to bring more domestic attention to CHAMPION, who are still not wholly accepted as a unit by fans of their main groups.

Important dates:

August 27: Korean Air x CHAMPION “Let’s Go Everywhere” MV and Safety Video filming.

LUCID

Lucid wraps up their Welcome to The Dream World tour on the second and then they fly back to Seoul to finish preparing for their comeback. They film their music video on the sixth, but in addition to comeback rehearsals, they also begin rehearsing for their LOL Showcase tour, which will tour Asia and focus on the “normal realm” side of their concept instead of the nightmare one they just toured for. This tour is far less performance-focused due to having a more fanmeeting-style set list with games, longer talk sections, and a hi-touch at the end of each show, so the rehearsal period is much shorter. Their comeback on the seventeeth proves they weren’t a one-hit wonder as Navillera soars to the top of the charts like “Rough” did and “You and I” failed to.

Como comenté, Hikaru y Cloud fueron mis primeras musas, aunque durante un tiempo (aquí haciendo memoria) simultáneamente roleaba a Red Link de The Legend of Zelda. Ya sabes, el que es más "agresivo" y terco de los 4 Links cuándo se dividen.

⌛ - How long have you been rping?

Como dije, unos 12 años aproximadamente, y siguen en aumento xD roleo desde que tengo unos 8-9, y desde que tengo 12 roleo en internet.

Y pues para ser sincera no recuerdo bien todo ese tiempo, aunque mi estadía en Instituto Honan fue super graciosa. Pasa que entré al foro y los administradores se habían ido hacía un par de días (y no dejaron aviso) y un grupo de chicos que queríamos rolear nos reunimos en el Chatbox y empezamos a rolear por nuestra cuenta sin tener la ficha aprobada xDDDDDDDD creo que desde ese entonces dije "nunca me voy a retirar de esto, nunca". Así que son 12 años and going.

🌌 - What’s your favorite part of rp?

Como comentaba antes, pero ahora si me voy a extender un poco más... Las posibilidades del rol son literalmente infinitas. Podemos tener 8 Verses de un mismo personaje e inventarnos más simplemente porque podemos, porque nos provoca, porque es divertido. Es la capacidad y poder de creación lo que me enamora de esto... Y el poder usar personajes que amo mucho para darles la interpretación que creo es la correcta (al menos para mi) y tener la satisfacción incluso de corregir errores de juicio de los escritores originales (como me pasa con Adam Taurus de RWBY). Todo eso, y que de paso haya gente que disfruta lo que hago... Es fantastico. Esa es mi parte favorita.

💗 - Do you prefer angst or fluff?

Both, peeeero pensándolo bien, el angst dependiendo de qué sea se me da muchísimo mejor y me siento ligeramente más cómoda que con el fluff. Sobre todo cuando se trata de angst que tiene que ver directamente con el gore.

💝 - Who are some rpers you look up to?

Como comenté, ninguno en particular por ahora, pero si veo muchos roles y muchas Muns super geniales (incluyéndote aunque seas nueva aquí en Tumblr) que me hacen sentirme cómoda con lo que hago y me inspiran a mejorar. Más que looking up to someone, me gusta más el looking after someone y que se sientan bienevenidos y podamos hacer cosas e inventar de todo para aprovechar ese universo sin fin de oportunidades que tenemos en rol.

💙 - Are there any muses you’ve been considering trying out?

Lo había estado pensando y de hecho ahorita que le dedico más tiempo al pensamiento, me gustaría volver a rolear a Draco Malfoy de Harry Potter, y estoy considerando desde hace tiempo en si rolear o no a Asuka de Evangelion, así como a Senjougahara Hitagi de Monogatari. No recordaba eso cuando hice el otro ask xD

Para no generalizar tanto y darle un approach distinto, me gusta mucho de mis musas femeninas que son maternales y comprensivas en su mayoría, pero eso no quiere decir que estén dentro de los lineamientos tradicionales de lo que es Femenino. Mismo caso con mis chicos, que aunque son todos bastante badass y tienen medio mal genio, creo que son buenos portrayals de lo que es una masculinidad no tóxica, cosa que se extrapola a las chicas. Creo que lo que me gusta de ellos es que justamente son estereotipos pero no quiere decir que sean bidimensionales (o al menos trato de que no lo sean).

💔 - What’s something you dislike about your muse?

Por el lado de los chicos, siguiendo la misma linea anterior, es que los chicos se esfuerzan demasiado las expectativas que se esperan de ellos. Que deben ser manly o fuertes y a veces por eso pecan de idiotas o de cerrados y cripticos (como Bakugo, Gilgamesh, o Shinya). De las chicas que no saben lo que es amar a alguien sin dejar pedazos de ellas en el camino. Las historias de amor de todas mis chicas siempre terminan en algún punto así. Igualmente, no es algo que me desagrade per se, pero simplemente es lo que a veces me da dolor de cabeza por es como "dammit pueden dejar de hacer eso? I've been there, done that, doesn't work!"

Como dije, Sushi, pero en una nota especial, diré que una de mis comidas favoritas es el pasticho de mi mamá.

Invierno y temporada de lluvia uwu coinciden muy poco, pero me hacen feliz.

Creo que dado que mencioné el apartado de animación, diría que mis películas con actores reales y toda la cosa, probablemente es la trilogia de Batman hecha por Christopher Nolan. Me parece soberbia. Sobre todo la última entrega The Dark Knight Rises (nunca me gustó la segunda por Heath Ledger, sorry not sorry, era buen actor pero desprecio al Joker). Y Tron Legacy me gusta MUCHO.

Otras de mis canciones favoritas son Hurricane y Night of the Hunter de 30 Seconds to Mars. Antes era Echelon, pero lastimosamente le agarré algo de idea a Jared porque creo que se le subió la fama a la cabeza después de ganar el Oscar y tanto su actuación como Joker (orrivle, oremos... Porque él de hecho es buen actor) y su último album son totalmente una ofensa al cine y la música.

Otros tracks que son mis favoritos son el instrumental oficial de Sakura Nagashi de Evangelion 3.33 You Can (Not) Redo, y Valse Di Fantastica de Final Fantasy XV (así como la versión lenta).

Mi otra banda favorita es La Oreja de Van Gogh aunque me faltan un par de albumes para ponerme al día. Pero puedes ponerme casi cualquier canción de las viejas y yo puedo cantarla mil veces.

WHAT IS YOUR MUSE’S BLOOD TYPE: Well she has Aesir blood so I don’t think there is a specific type. That being said, I’d assume it’s non-specific and can be used as a universal donor among those on Asgard. HOW DO YOU THINK YOUR MUSE HANDLES REJECTION?: This depends. I feel Eir would either take it well or it would break her completely. I mean, this is why she doesn’t or rather hasn’t admitted her feelings for Loki, she doesn’t even want to think how it goes. WHAT MAKES YOUR MUSE JEALOUS?: Not many things make her jealous, but I suppose the freedom that other individuals get is a big part of that. Also the fact that she could never be considered to marry royalty. WHAT’S A BAD HABIT YOUR MUSE HAS?: She is a lip bitter. A major one. Especially when the stress gets to her. When she’s on Midgard she eats lollipops to stop it, so also eating lollipops to stop other habits. She also can talk very meanly about herself, but never in the presence of others, when she does something wrong or something goes wrong. A PRIZED POSSESSION OF YOUR MUSE: A ring belonging to her mother. It was her mother’s wedding ring to be precise. Not meant to sound like hate or anything either I'm just very genuinely interested in your process! Especially because I actually want to rp with you but I'm shy so. The more I know. : )

What’s the inspiration behind Ian?

You might be surprised to hear this, but he’s inspired by D:BH’s KL900 “Lucy”! While she appears to be nurturing, altruistic, nursing Markus back to health and all in the game, Ian’s her chattier, unbridled counterpart, kitted out in CyberLife’s latest Sarcasm Software™.

Is this a fully joke blog or are you serious?

Ian’s kinda intended to be a gag muse, kind of like an interlude before I move on to something bigger… but now that I’ve poured in so much, he’s now a full-blown comedian! In short, I’m here for the long run.

Does it feels strange at all to be using a real person in a way like this ( such as his actual likeness as an OC )?

YES, at times! initially I feared I’d come under fire for using iDubbbz as Ian’s faceclaim. He’s known to have rather controversial opinions (more on that later) which may potentially rub some people the wrong way. Another one of my greatest fears since creating this blog would be that the Cancer Crew fandom would somehow latch onto this and put it on blast.

But for the most part, NO, because I knew perfectly well it’s his personality that I want to harness in my portrayal of my muse! It’s a deliberate choice, really. His pretty (???) face is, but an added bonus.

Thank you for sending in this ask! I thoroughly enjoyed answering these questions and please, by all means, come into my DMs and write with me! Read under the cut for some miscellaneous character-related ramblings.

While I did consider writing Ian as a… completely unhinged, ant-snorting, surströmming-hating deviant, I felt there was more common ground established if I gave him an actual purpose? or an occupation? in the D:BH universe. OCs in any fandom are p much segregated as it is, and I so badly wanted to give my mutuals something to work with!

I did think of making him an android debator cos of his content cops, but knew nothing about debate then (I do now, thanks to @huntexe). I also approached a close friend of mine ( @deviant-collector ) for inspiration, and they suggested he could be a caretaker or a personal companion. What wouldn’t I give to see an android mounting a table and going, “I wanna be gay?”

Eventually I moulded him into an android social worker designed to aid the less privileged navigate the social justice system. While iDubbbz does construe solid arguments in his videos, there’s power in his words, I wanted to channel that aspect of him into something more… positive. So I’ve made my android boiii both a counsellor and an advocate for the teenagers and young adults those who can’t speak up for themselves. It’s all essentially easier said than done, but hey! It’s something I’ve always been interested in!

now with group rps, like….don’t bubble rp???? bc it’s incredibly rude???? and hurtful???? sure you love the mun so FUCKING much they make ur life and u wanna marry them, but how about you try and brighten someone else’s fucking day??? cos i’ve been there TOO MANY times to count, and just…try and socialise. trust me, opening ur character to other people is fun, okay???? don’t be trump and close ur borders.

in indie rp, it depends. this is ur turf and i can’t police you, obviously. but like, if you’re gonna do starter calls….try and include everyone yeah? like, at least reach out. and if you can’t vibe, LET THEM FUCKING KNOW???? it’ll hurt in the moment, but trust me, people forgive and forget. don’t leave them on read and then fucking ghost them. this ain’t tinder, m8.

writing with cliques is like kinda problematic in groups, but in indie, it’s fair game. let the people do what they want. just…i guess, give other people a chance? but that’s your thing, it’s cool.

OTHER PROBLEMATIC THINGS LIKE…not reading the rules, if they have something like that. LOOK BUDDY, THEY’RE THERE FOR A FUCKING REASON!!!!!!!! it might mention their plot tag, their triggers, fcs they hate and what not. SO FUCKING READ THE RULES. and if they don’t have a page for that, it doesn’t hurt to ask????? like, im p sure no one will get annoyed if you IM them for their rules page. i know i would love that someone too the time to ask me that!

there’s also the whole fc drama, and there are many people out there who’ve addressed this shit. unless the person’s gone to fucking jail or deserves to go to jail for their crimes, they’re NOT problematic. ofc u have exceptions, like ESP nasty people (im looking at holland, colton, jlaw—).

Favorite Color: Blue! I’m a blues kinda person (har har, get it, music and a colour joke haha.) But for real, either blue or straight up black because I’ve yet to find a piece of clothing that didn’t look good in black.

Lipstick or Chapstick: Does it have to be or? I mean, in fairness I don’t wear a lot of lipstick (ever, I like lip stains, less chance of lipstick teeth) so chapstick for sure! But I don’t mind colour tinted lip balms? So. Best of both worlds!

Last Song I listened to: Haha, the song I sent to Certo for their muse music thing so I’ll let them link that. Adam and the Ant’s Stand and Deliver just flipped on though! Ren’s playlist is on for those rollercoaster feels.

Last Movie I watched: Colossal cause it was on Hulu & and I didn’t feel good yesterday. It was... interesting? Yeah. We’ll stick with not terrible but I probably would’ve just binged more Person of Interest if I’d realized.

Top 3 TV Shows: WHOO BOY. I actually watch a lot of TV but let’s go ahead and list the ones I’ve seen multiple times. Normally I loathe and despise rewatching things cause my brain starts to check out at repeated details. Outside of your regular top pics like Game of Thrones or Doctor Who, there’s Bryan Fuller’s Hannibal, Netflix’s Sense 8, and Hulu’s The Handmaid’s Tale. All three of these I’ve watched more than once (or twice...) but two of them have been cancelled. ;;;~;;;; I’m holding out hope for Handmaid’s Tale after it’s Emmy wins this year, though! Firefly gets a surprise bonus pick cause I have watched those episodes or clips or the movie so many times.

Top 3 Characters: ... I-in what? Females? Males? TV show? Movie? Anime? Comic book?? REGULAR BOOK??? YOU CAN’T ASK THIS OF ME. Okay fine um. Lost Girl’s Kenzi, cause I love her forever. Tulio & Miguel (you don’t get just one here!) from The Road to El Dorado cause it’s my Feel Good movie. And a toss up between The 100′s Leksa kom Trikru (Lexa) or Xena from, well, Xena: Warrior Princess. Both because I wouldn’t mind if either kicked my ass. Xena was my first girl crush and LEXA DESERVED BETTER GOD DAMNIT. >|||

Top 3 Bands/Artist: Oh jesus this is tough. I like a *lot* of music. Like, no really, my Youtube/Spotify search and watch history would give other people who only like one or two genre’s whiplash. If I had genres this would be easier, but how about we focus on the recently binged? In This Moment’s been a great mood kicker for Cohza. Um, had a binge with Hozier yesterday for those REN FEELS. OH! ALSO Dark Sarah cause she started working with JP Leppäluoto again this year for a new album called Golden Moth which continues the storyboard multi-world/plane idea. Folks might be familiar with “Dance of the Dragon” and it got a follow up music video with the new “Trespasser” on the Golden Moth!! COHZA’S FIGHT STYLE WITH HER BLADED ESCRIMA STICKS GETS USED IN THE VIDEO AND I’M SO FUCKING EXCITED. MORE MELODIC METAL STORIES? FUCK YEAH!

Books I’m Currently Reading: Oh my god RIP me. I am usually one of those people who start a book and I HAVE to finish it but my life is a Mess™. So right now in my half read pile I’ve got Neil Gaiman’s American Gods as a WIP cause of the TV show (which is fab.) I can’t really call picking up Annette Curtis Klause ‘s Blood and Chocolate again for a bathroom stint as a “book I’m currently reading” but I do really enjoy it and to be fair I kept reading it before I fell asleep. THE MOVIE WAS SHIT AND RUINED ONE OF THE GOOD CHARACTERS WTF. Anyway. The other one that’s kind of a read-in-progress is DC Comics' FABLES but I misplaced the one I was reading somewhere. orz

uughgnhngnhnnhh i get overwhelmingly emotional about how much he loves and adores plumeria, how he would do absolutely anything for her, how he puts her before himself, how she is the only person in existence he’s like this with to such an extent (his temporary loyalty to lusamine doesn’t count and his love for his mama is obviously just a whole different kind of love)

AND YET

he still fucks up with her. a lot.

BUT

she never gives up on him. which seems unhealthy at first glance but she KNOWS that he’s TRYING so hard all the time to be a better guy, especially for her and especially post-game and just

[ 10 ] WHAT DO YOU LOVE ABOUT YOUR MUSE?

HOW DARE YOU. I CANNOT EVEN BEGIN TO LIST EVERYTHING SO I AM JUST GOING TO TALK ABOUT ONE THING I KNOW HOW TO EXPLAIN AND ALSO HAVEN’T REALLY TALKED ABOUT BEFORE…

i love that they made him a bug-type specialist. bug-types are commonly considered weak by… everyone. in our world, and surely the pokemon world as well. this is interesting because of how obsessed guzma seems to be with being the strongest trainer, and with being big and bad and tough in general. you would think that if they were to give him a specialty, it would be types that seem more relevant like fighting or maybe dark-type (which he actually focuses on later with his battle tree set of pokemon, along with poison, but i digress). but no, bug-type it is. this is so important. because while he tries to make himself out to be the strongest trainer and he’s obviously not, it is also canonically stated he is still really fucking good at battling. which he achieves by using bug-types, the type pretty much all of us avoid adding to our main party unless they have a good secondary type, and even then we might still rather just have a random pokemon that knows a move like x-scissor.

BUT WAIT, THERE’S MORE!!! not only all of the above, but also… guzma’s character arc is heavily rooted in nostalgia. when we visit his childhood home on route 2, even before many of us realized that this was guzma’s childhood home, there are things we can relate to there. even if we never ran away from home, even if we’ve never even moved out yet. there is a swing set undoubtedly unused for many years, there are trophies, there are old photos, there’s a ‘remorseful’ parent. this is all meant to pull at our heartstrings a little even before we may realize it’s all about the ‘villainous team’ leader, this is all meant to emphasize the nostalgia factor (which su/mo does in multiple ways for us players who’ve been playing for many years… many of us have grown up… and in this case, many of us have left home one way or another and this family’s house feels like our own).

WHICH BRINGS ME TO FINALLY SAY that guzma being a bug-type specialist furthers that whole nostalgia factor thing that su/mo seems to be going for with his character arc, as well as their entire game. bug collecting is a hobby heavily and commonly associated with childhood. i personally used to pick up anything, and i bet i kept and raised 938473 caterpillars. if kids aren’t grossed out by bugs, then kids are fascinated by bugs. there are also plenty of classic various media involving bugs: the itsy bitsy spider, little miss muffet, eric carle’s books (the very… hungry caterpillar, busy spider, lonely firefly, quiet cricket, grouchy ladybug), miss spider, two bad ants, a bug’s life, antz, the ant bully, honey i shrunk the kids, men in black (that cockroach alien? i loved him ok), and… you get what i’m saying.

this character is a manchild all the way down to his favorite pokemon type. this game is nostalgic all the way down to one of its main antagonist’s favorite pokemon types—which, by the way, makes him more lovable and relatable if you were ever having a hard time feeling this way about him before.

whether or not they meant to make these connections i’m talking about, and it’s totally likely i’m looking way too much into it… oh well. i fucking love this character, i love everything about him even for details such as this to extents such as this.

EDIT: I WAS LATER REMINDED THAT THE CREATOR OF POKEMON ACTUALLY GOT THE IDEA FOR POKEMON BECAUSE OF BUG COLLECTING AS A KID BY THE WAY
