puffy sometimes grows a beard because sheep genetics and niki thinks its very cute albiet a bit scratchy

puffy bleets when shes surprised and niki will switch to german when shes angry or tired, they find eachother extremely adorable

nikis love language is words of affirmation and puffys love language is quality time

in my head, the dsmp ended with clingyduo successfully killing drm forever, and niki finds puffy before all the egg stuff and everything gets resolved yayy happy ending anyway

puffychu pirate adventures

niki gets seasick sometimes but she has a hell of a voice for shanties and loves the view (her girlfriend working on the deck in just a t shirt because its hot out)

puffy has a very high alcohol tolerance because shes a pirate whilst niki has a very low tolerance because she hasnt built it up yet

niki will drunkenly switch to german sometimes and puffy only knows a few words (shes learning) and gets very confused

ANYWAY im rambling now

nikis birthday is today (august 6th and no not the ccs) and she didnt expect anyone to show up except puffy and maybe jack but puffy made SURE many people showed up (quackity and wilbur are banned from her birthday party this year after the 2020 fiasco)

the syndicate came, all with different presents, some of phils crows have picked up shiny things for niki and put those things on the presents table

clingyduo, jack, fundy, and hbomb show up as well

they all play games like jackbox and amongus and then niki opens her gifts and everyone has an amazing time

puffy gifts niki some weighted blankets to make sleeping easier, but the biggest gift comes in the form of a new cottage right above her city in the flower fields, so she can always retreat to the cave and work on the city, but she always has a home aboveground as well, niki absolutely adores it and when she feels ready, theres a huge kitchen space for her to start baking

puffy moves in later :)

it also came insured (aka if anyone fucked with it they would take all 3 canon lives, they gave a side eye to tommy who just whistled and acted like he didnt notice it)

puffy constantly gives forehead kisses because niki is small, niki will sometimes grab a horn, pull her down, and get her back with a kiss on the cheek in return

they are both huge blushers they will turn tomato red at any affection ever

niki stays up sometimes to make sure puffy gets to sleep okay (paranoia makes it hard) but when puffy wakes up she will stay up for a few mins to make sure niki is sleeping okay (night terror having gfs <\3)

niki snores very loud and talks in her sleep and puffy thinks is so silly

What are some of your favorite movies and why? I'm in the mood for some ranting about cool stuff :)

OKAY ALRIGHT LET'S DO THIS (in no particular order)

JK ROWLING IS STINKY 🤬🤬🤬

But I love Remus Lupin. And I love the aesthetic of this movie. And I LOVE werewolves. Professor Lupin is one of THE BEST characters in the entire Harry Potter franchise and I just think he deserves more hype and he's really cool and idk I get nostalgic about this movie and it's definitely a comfort movie for me.

Just this entire franchise. And the Hobbit movies. My Dad has always been a BIG Tolkien fan so I was raised on LOTR and went to see the Hobbit movies in theatres when they first came out (I saw the first one 3 or 4 times, I was OBSESSED). BEFORE ANYONE COMES AT ME I'VE ALSO READ THE BOOKS I READ THEM IN GRADE 3 I KNOW THE LORE DW 🙏. I'm a sucker for fantasy (hence my current dnd obsession lol) and the world of these films is just so immersive and breathtakingly beautiful that I can't help but consider them my favourites, even if it's been years since I've watched them cohesively. ALSO THE MUSIC IS SO GOOD. I'LL LISTEN TO THE LOTR SOUNDTRACK ANY DAY.

Again. THE MUSIC.

Andrew Garfield was SO GREAT in this, and I personally connected to it a lot as a songwriter myself. That being said, this movie makes me SOB EVERY SINGLE TIME. Jonathan Larson was truly a talent and it's such a shame his life ended as early as it did. So glad he lives on through his art, and so glad that he was able to make such a huge impact on people with what he created. (Also fun fact I'm going to see Rent in a few weeks)

IT STARTED AS A BIT IT WAS A JOKE

Word of advice: if you ever think to yourself, "Hey. It'd be silly if I kept suggesting to watch that one Adam Sandler Halloween movie whenever my family asks for movie suggestions despite the fact that it isn't Halloween anymore and it's not that good of a movie- DON'T. DO IT.

Hubie Halloween is my comfort movie now. I don't rewatch movies and tv shows a lot, but I've seen this one probably 5 times in the last few months. It's just a silly little Halloween movie, but I sort of started to appreciate it more after realizing "HEY THAT GUY IN THE TIN MAN COSTUME IS WILL BYERS!!!" Although most of the media I find myself drawn to is more complex and explores the intricacies of how humanity functions, this movie somehow grew on me. My family references it constantly, and every time we play Jackbox games, half of the quiplash answers are just "Hubie". Overall I just think this movie is funny, quirky, subverts expectations in silly ways, and is a nice lighthearted watch compared to my other favourites.

My final movie on this list isn't ACTUALLY a movie but I HAVE TO TALK ABOUT IT YOU DON'T UNDERSTAND

MIDNIGHT MASS IS MY FAVOURITE SHOW. EVER. OF ALL TIME.

The music??? Immaculate. THE ACTING??? Immaculate. THE WRITING??? Immaculate (although there are a lot of monologues which can be a lot for some people, but as a theatre kid I REALLY appreciated them).

I've rewatched this show 2 1/2 times now and I'm just so in love with it. It's horror, but it doesn't rely on cheap jumpscares and many of the cheaper tactics some horror movies use nowadays. It's way more focused on its ensemble cast and developing good characters and storytelling. Sure, it starts off a bit slow, but the emotional payoff in the final two episodes is SO. WORTH IT.

Hamish Linklater as Father Paul is just... Awesome. RAHUL KOHLI AS HASSAN??? SO GOOD??? THIS ENTIRE CAST IS SO TALENTED and the way they play their characters is so raw and compelling and human.

Ryan Bergara was so right when he listed Father Paul as a poor little meow meow on Tumblr Top 5 HE SO IS AND I LOVE HIM FOR THAT. Anyway if you wanna see a new take on some classic horror tropes, commentary on the meaning of life and what happens after it, and some really good acting just... Please watch this. It definitely destroys your soul and makes you think but it's so good and the aesthetic is just... Mmmm.

Y'know what? Screw it. I know no one's interested in my adventures in playing online games, but I have screenshots and I want to save them.

So on Sunday, I played Trivia Murder Party from Jackbox 3 with a group that calls itself the Chaos Crew for reasons I figured out pretty quickly. It's basically a trivia game meets Saw, and it's surprisingly fun. You wouldn't think the threat of a brutal death would make trivia better, but apparently it does.

Ignore Neil in the corner there; he just discovered this game, and he's absolutely DELIGHTED by it, and the fact that he won the first game by body-swapping.

Anyway...

Here was my cute little avatar!

The players were introduced like in movie movie credits, and I got the special one.

Now, the object of the game is to answer trivia questions. If you get them wrong, you get sent to "the killing room", where you play mini games with other players. There's usually death.

This continues until there's one player left alive, and then they have a sort of lightning round with the dead players, who can actually win by stealing the survivor's body.

It's awesome.

The first question was a biology question. I was excited. If this was setting the tone for the game, I was good!*

*spoiler alert: I was not, in fact, good

The second question sent me to the killing room.

This was a game that didn't kill you, but did make things harder. Getting a finger cut off means that you can't see the choice that corresponds to the missing finger. In my case, choice #3 was blocked.

But still...

I was in the lead! I had this! I was good at murder trivia!

Until they asked a sports question

And I got sent to this room.

Neil was telling everyone not to take the money. I was like 99% sure he was going to, but I decided to be nice anyway.

BETRAYAL.

Also, I owe Neil an apology because he didn't take the money.

That was some damn good psychogical manipluation, because it truely scared the shit out of us and made us look nervous. I'll give them that."

Wilbur began the stream as viewers began to rush in.

"Chat! Hello! How are you all doing today?" He laughed as he read out the messages, making small comments back and such.

"Oh chat! Before I forget, there is a special guest joining us today. Help me welcome Y/n to the stream!" He clapped and cheered as chat began to move too fast for anyone to read. You came into view of the camera giving a small wave.

"Hey chat, what is up?" You smiled forward, looking between chat, Wilbur, and the camera itself.

"So chat, now that we're all introduced, we're gonna be playing some games with the sbi boys and Tubbo and Ranboo, so it should be all fun today."

Chat continued to cheer for the stream that was set in place.

Eventually, the gaming turned into a mini-concert, with Wilbur and Y/n singing theme songs left and right, narrating and cheering on as they went through Jackbox round after round.

At one point Y/n was singing every Lovejoy song, one after another.

After the last round, Will got off the call and went through chat reading out loud while Y/n sat and played with the strings of Wilbur's guitar.

"'Their voice is so good, would you ever work on a song with them?'" Wilbur looked over at Y/n who was smiling. "Not sure, it'd really be up to them...but I do agree that their voice is amazing."

"'Wilbur we need more streams with Y/n! Please make this a normal thing', er, I don't know chat. We were really lucky to them here for this stream, but we'll see what happens."

"Yes, sorry chat, but I am really not sure when I could next be on another one of Will's streams. I am actually busy writing my own music right now.."

Chat once again started moving rapidly as the viewers asked to hear just a small part of it.

Y/n laughed, "Alright, alright. Here it is!"

You took Will's guitar and started playing off some chords off the top of your head, humming quietly along. When you finished chat was cheering. Will looked at you smiling.

finding out what to do for stream was kinda hard when pretty much all your friends were busy

but then you got a text from karl, asking if you wanted to play jackbox with him and a few friends

when it was finally time to play, you started up your stream and introduced what you’d be playing that night

you let out a small, “hello?” 

somehow everyone heard you and stopped talking

during mad verse city karl was going against quackity and his rap went something like this

your mouth was wide open while all the boys started teasing quackity

“what the fuck! i don’t have a crush on them!” 

quackity ended up losing that one.

after the game and you ended you stream you asked quackity to stay

“hi quackity,” you said, with an energetic voice

so in skyblock the game has a calendar of its own right? each day is like 20 minutes and each season (summer, winter etc) lasts about a month, and with each new season theres a new themed event. farming for spring, something about defending santas town from magma-based enemies in winter, and the other two events that i forgot for summer and fall fksknf. the same events rotate each year (theres a new one every day. sometimes they have like 19H between them)

you need to grind to be able to do anything in the game (you need to level up certain skills to unlock stuff and theres no good way of making money without grinding for resources and selling them.) and out of these money is the most important thing. how good of a player you are in skyblock (not hypixel as a whole) is lowkey measured by how many coins you have, bc you HAVE to be good at the game to get a lotta coins. (the levels of ypur skills and your gear would also count so its more like how long youve been playing for that matters but yk) plus you need it to be able to do anything in the game (good gears a must)

ANYWAYS. yesterday during the winter event i hit jackbox 😌😌😌 when u complete the main events (defending the town from enemies in this case) you get even more event items (santa gifts for this one). you exchange the gifts with a person and you get event exclusive items from them! i made friends w someone yesterday spamming all my gifts at them lol n in return they decided to spam me back <3 overall we got a LOT of items that would be worth. like a bit under 5M coins when you sell them? i have no idea personally so going off of what they told me lmao.

and yeah this is MAJOR news since my ENTIRE savings rn is around 450k coins (since i started playing) and rn i guess i can make 60k coins an hour but i never grind that long cause i dont have much time + its not fun. so that 450k accumulated in a lotta days (it would b the same going forward) so like. thats a LOT of money. that i got without even grinding. completely free. rn im grinding on leveling up my items so i can sell them double the price when i max them out but MAN especially as a beginner THATS SM MONEY

I loved Quackity and Dream arguing after George's dethroning especially when Dream was just rambling and arguing only for Quackity to laugh and say: no, I disagree with everything you just said 😌 I honestly think that Quackity likes railing Dream up because it's funny for him and he likes arguing and debating in general so he just does it whenever he can, it's even by simple stuff like that one time on with George when they were playing all this broken games and during that one with operation he started saying things like "forget about Dream" or in that recent fnaf one when he went "oooh what would Dream say?" after he said George was blowing him kisses. For Dream it's also probably enjoyable and something new although also a tad bit annoying lmao usually people just don't have the energy to argue with Dream, don't care enough or just want to be a good sport like that one time in who wants to be millionaire stream that kinda robbed George and want to move on. Quackity instead has personality of someone who often likes having discussions while at the same time maintaining his playful attitude and isn't afraid to just... go no ❤ on the other person. Honestly I would love for George, Dream and Quackity to at some point play something like trivia about George so we get competitive q + d, George loving two simps trying to prove themselves to him, and q + d being simps cause we are talking about the guy who often takes it upon himself to prove how much he knows George and guy who proclaimed to love him more than Karl and sending him good morning messages every day

yes i also think q enjoys arguing with dream largely because he thinks it’s funny to rile up dream like that (and he’s right!) and also because he can—he’s good at debating for an audience (what i mean by this is even though his arguments can be...flawed, sometimes, he has so much confidence and charisma that he can make you side with him.) i loved their improvised ~verbal spar~ after george was dethroned because you could tell that quackity was enjoying arguing with someone as strong-willed as dream. and even if dream was taken aback (and probably annoyed) because it was completely unplanned, he held his own and sounded so passionate about it that (to me,) it was so much more fun to watch than his scripted villain monologues, where he’s so obviously overpowered (also by virtue of it being scripted) versus with quackity, where you don’t really know who’s going to win. they’re so evenly matched that they argued again a few streams after, iirc about whether the el rapids bunch were terrorists—and imo, dream had the better arguments that time!

quackity baiting dnf is interesting because q doesn’t seem to really like pandering, and doesn’t really put it as an answer in jackbox games especially compared to karl/bad. he doesn’t engage with stans much and called dnf a “low joke” he “doesn’t resort to” when they were playing skribbl.io, but he teases both george and dream about each other anyway, because he loves the reaction it gets out of them lol. i love that he just chooses to be annoying and succeeds in a way that is enjoyable to his audience <3

and totally agree with the george trivia thing aaaaaa like! i’ve been hoping for them to play fibbage on jackbox for ages because it’s such a fun game to play with friends and on stream (because your audience is invested in your personalities, humor and friendships) but they haven’t yet >:( dream flexes about his friendship with george so frequently that he’ll tryhard a fucking trivia game to prove that they’re Mega Best Friends, and quackity will use that against him and try to be as annoying as he possibly can lol. george would be basking in the attention the entire time and i don’t blame him!

i just saw the pic of the bros destroying mk's island and i just- IM WHEEZING, poor mk! The bros are so mean! and mei going along with their terrorizing mk is just hilarious. But now that just makes me curious as to how they'd interact in person. would is be the same dynamic, or would it be the other way around? XD

The first time they meet in person is when Red Son needs a ride to the Metal boys’ place and MK gives him a takes him there on his scooter (as seen in the very first gamer au drawing.)

Anyways Mei is pretty popular so she’s kinda like “HOW HAVE I NOT MET THESE FOOLS BEFORE HAHA” and she organised some group gaming sessions like they’d play jackbox or among us maybe. But Animal Crossing was one that they all decided to do after they found out it’s one of Red Son’s fave games.

MK thinks they’re kinda cool at first. But then he’s like “oh no they’re literally older brothers who will bully you for fun.”

When they hang out irl its mostly with Red Son being there because he’s obviously how the brothers know Mei and MK n vice versa. The first time they hang out without Red Son irl they go to a skate park and then a shopping mall or something. The dynamic is almost the same except since they’re not ruining MK’s island he is all up for shenanigans! Jin and MK definitely do the skateboard scene from Butterfly Soup, while Yin and Mei do like to have more chill conversations.

Just quickly remembered that Jin (since he’s the gold horned king in jttw) is the older brother, MK and Mei does not believe him because he’s a bit more childish than Yin.

As soon as the brothers find out where everyone lives they just come over uninvited sometimes or just give them dumb stuff. One day Mei was chillin out and Jin is at the door holding a stray cat saying “look what I found!” And she shuts the door in his face because it is 3 AM

Also Jin absolutely dug holes all over the island while MK wasn’t looking because thats what I did to MY friends.

Smosh gone downhill

I said it. I prefer the content Smosh made under Defy. I understand that they are now happier and their wellbeing is much better now without a corporate overlord breathing down their neck but I believe their content has gone down in quality and variety. I saw a Smosh video in my subscription feed and realised that I haven't watched their videos in a while or as regularly as I used to do when Smosh was under DEFY.

I’m honestly getting really bored of post-DEFY Smosh and Smosh Games content. It’s the same five shows every time. I getting bored especially with the Games channel. They just play casual games. No competitive games and punishments like before. It's either try not to laugh, eat it or yeat it, unfunny sketcher, ebe and the games channel. I used to love the games channel and the Smosh Pit channel, I wasn't really as much of a fan of the main channel stuff but I still watched the videos that were posted on it. So I want to break down what I think is going wrong.

Cast members I am obviously happy that some of the members are in a much more happy and healthier place. With some of the cast members like Noah, Keith and Olivia being able to be part-time and pursue other things. The personal downside was that they were more of my favourite members of the cast. I like Courtney two but I am not a fan of Shayne or Damien because they're too loud and I don't like Damien's humour or find him funny at all and comes off as trying too hard and cringey weeb. (Bruh that anime quiz he did was full of such mainstream normie anime which are all the same, just personally dunking on his taste in anime) So in the early Mythical days, it was mainly just Ian, Court, Shayne and Damien that we were seeing so for someone like me I was only really here for Ian and Courtney. Since we have had Kimmy and Jackie who I think are refreshing additions to the channel and bring something new. But one of the reasons, why I love the old videos, is that more people means more different dynamics. It gets pretty boring quickly watching the same three people interact so it makes it refreshing when someone is a guest as it changes up the dynamic. We don't get to see Keith and Court goofing off, or Shayne and Olivia killing it. With more people there's a chance you'll like someone. So if you like Shayne for example you may get bored seeing him interact with the same people all the time because of seeing one or a few person take up all the screen time instead of dividing it up more. Things like the old squad vlogs were so much fun because you have five people bouncing off each other and make simple games like the psychic word game so much fun. Now it just feels like Shayne and Damien featuring Courtney third-wheeling and sometimes Ian. We also have the controversial figure of Matt who I was fine with at first and enjoyed him as a ref except for Red Light, Dead Light, but as he had more time on screen the worse part started to creep in. I do like Sarah however. It also made Smosh Summer/Winter games so special because we saw everyone together or when they did TNTL on the SG channel with the SG crew.

Smosh Games channel So when they announced that the Smosh squad would be more involved with the Games channel and that cast wouldn't be confined by a single channel it lit up a red flag immediately for me. Obviously, it was kind of necessary with so many of the SG cast leaving but the Squad members like Court, Shayne and Damien can't handle that channel. They are obviously being overworked having to run three channels with multiple things a week which is one and the jokes and dynamic gets stale. Two: the only 'hardcore, real' gamer there is Damien so if they put on competitive games with no shots spared he would easily dominate. I getting bored especially with the Games channel. So we get more casual games with gimmicks like seeing them play Jackbox for the 100th time and loses the competitive element of the old shows like gamebang had so it's now just 'friends playing games'. We have some dumb shows like the crocs thing which was so anti-climactic. They have a Twitch which I don't use or watch. Board AF which I've heard isn't as good as before.

Lack of fun shows On the Smosh Pit channel we do have some fun shows like Bee-kini wax but it’s so infrequent but because of how limited the contestants are having to lay on the bed it relies on verbal humour which sometimes isn't enough if you are bored of the same 3 people. Eat it or yeet it which feels like a discount put it in my mouth which is also limiting because the cast is sat down and relies on a single gimmick. 2 Truths, 1 Lie and True Confessions which are good fun and challenges the cast members acting skills. I big things like Smosh Live and the energy the sketches had. We then have low-quality content videos like reaction videos to old videos, ‘trying TikTok life hacks’ which are rarely funny like the auditions reaction one. EBE is getting exhausting and doesn't seem to be as funny as before. I miss squad vlogs and field trips of them all playing board games once in a while or spin the bottle. Fun challenges are rare such as the drawing ones and acting out fanfiction. There is Smosh cast but it was mostly fun when they split tea about Defy. I dropped off around episode 8 and there’s too many to catch up. I don't even know which TNTL video they are on and even had a tour centered around it with only Shayne, and Damien with third wheel Court and Ian. I don’t know if the cast members are burnt out but I definitely am. We’ve gotten 40+ damn episodes. If the person doesn't laugh it gets awkward and they just laugh anyway. We had some interesting shows like Day Jobs, Show with no name which is way more fun and faster pace than Smoshcast, the animal show, PIIMM and Courtney's pilot show, Smosh and Order, squad trips and vlogs. It feels like the same five shows every time. I assume that the view count is going down.

Maybe Defy did know a bit of what they were doing. Putting stuff through a filter stopped every below-average video being posted. I honestly don't know if they will realise and try to fix it but I'll probably end up drifting completely if I end up not seeing any people I want in the thumbnail or clickbaity thumbnails I want to see, but it seems to be a trend among fans here from what I've gathered.
