Spooky atmospheric Game Rec!
"Where water taste like wine."
Tumblr media
I bought it on a whim while looking for a spooky but not jumpscare filled game to play on my switch for the season and let me tell you its a hidden gem!
You play as a vangrant who lost to a card game to what we can only assume is a trickster god or the Devil himself in the form of a wolf headed gentleman, and now you are a giant walking skeleton with the tasks to walk around the country and gather tales for him.
Oh and all of it on tarot cards!
Tumblr media
Tumblr media
Its a fantastic visual relaxing but spooky game where you never know what kind of tale you will end up encountering. Some are spooky, some sad, some strange and some inspiring.
Long story short, please go look it up if you want a cozy game who will def remind you of "Over the garden wall" and "Old gods of Apalachia"!
Tumblr media
(Its on steam and all the other consoled now!)

This might sound crazy but follow me So on population estimates of remnant we can put them at the low millions Based on the fact that life outside of city walls is very difficult And having people inside of cities puts up severe cap on population, giving the fact that villages tended to disappear in droves. This may contribute to the reason why the Atlas military prefers robots they can field far more quicker then they can people despite the people being cheaper and more reliable and more Logistically efficient.
Now here's where it gets crazy Let's say somehow they either got ahold of our world's footage or made contact with our world. How do you Soviet Union wave tactics would affect their doctrines of warfare. mass produced cheap quality with enough man power to throw at the problem until it's gone. Or hell the entire US military? I'm not saying we would win. But I am saying the grim would get their shit kicked. I mean everyone around where I live owns a gun. Keep in mind that I am a tennessee man from apalachia mountains, so rednecks I may not be the average. Besides the point, for every hundred people in america, there are a hundred and twelve guns we have guns than humans. What do you think that the interaction/reaction of two worlds meeting would be.
The global population of Remnant is definitely difficult to pin down, but the consistent evidence I see is when Ironwood, one of the most logic-based huntsmen on the show at the time, said that Yang's "actions" were broadcasted globally to "millions". So a few million wouldn't be hard to expect, especially with the Grimm being as big a nuisance/threat as they are.
Whether it be interstellar or interdimensional communications, the fact that they would be able to contact our world requires a lot of sci-fi questions to be answered. Who would be contacted first? How would it be done? Would travel be following shortly? Questions, questions, questions.
The fact you pointed out "Soviet Union" also raises questions, as the USSR was disbanded back in the 90s. Are you saying our worlds not chronologically synchronized? If not, how do either side know how advanced either are.
And to be perfectly honest, I'm no military or tactical expert. If you tell me a plan is tactical then I am inclined to agree with you. However, what I am is not without resources. Or... I'm saying I'm not without my resources because double negatives are...
ANYWAYS! @noneatnonedotcom What are your thoughts on the question put forth?

A worker walks through the conduit tunnel of TVA's Apalachia Dam, which carries water from the dam's reservoir to the dam's downstream powerhouse. This photo shows the point at which the tunnel splits into two smaller tunnels. Apalachia Dam is located along the Hiwassee River in Cherokee County, North Carolina, USA.

DOC YOURE FROM APALACHIA?! Fuck yeah little dude! I’ve got some roots there!!!
Anyways! Do you typically eat more rabbit type foods or more human like foods? Or do you find a happy medium with like. Dandelion salad or something?
Yes, I am! Born and somewhat raised!
As for food, I prefer human food, but I do need to wear down my teeth by chewing on something, usually hay. I do like dandelions on occasion, but they’re super bitter! (Humans can eat them too; I have a human digestive system, but about as many taste buds as a standard rabbit)
When I was little, I ate them since there wasn’t much else besides that to forage safely- I was real small and the humans sure as hell wouldn’t feed me. I did scavenge in their backyards at times- that’s how I acquired a taste for meat. But my favorite food is probably yams, applesauce, or! Tinned peaches…

in the waiting room at my pulmonologist, sitting across from a NASCAR guy- older, rugged and twitchy- with my blue hair, big body and Old God's of Apalachia shirt. I can HEAR him thinking how I've got pronouns and am genderqueer and trying to groom kids.
And then we both overhear the secretary talk about a 'bacon cheddar bigger burger... it's not just a burger' and we both giggle. Bc the way she said it wss just perfection. Like a incredulous TV presenter.
So if I can giggle with a rusty ass old bloke maybe the world isn't so bad.
