so until this morning there was apparently an eight story tropical fish tank in a hotel atrium in berlin
what seems to have happened is that the acrylic tank may have been damaged by 17° farenheit cold temperatures, but in any case around 6am it just, gave out and released all 1 million liters of water and 1500 tropical fish into the lobby
as we know water will follow the path of least resistance, and in this case that seems to have been through a lindt chocolate shop and then out onto the street
two people were lightly injured but no one was killed except, unfortunately, all the fish, who at leaat had an exciting time of it and hopefully got some of the chocolate as they passed through and destroyed the place on their way out

Gonna make it a tradition to visit the Aquarium each time I'm in Berlin!!
Some of my favorite bois 💕
I only had an hour before driving back home but it was so worth it!! Nobody in sight at 9AM
Now this chunky guy? Love at first sight! He even checked out my phone! Two guys walked past me and one of them said: "Oh, nope, looks like the grouper's got a date." And it took me a second to realize they were caretakers and making a round to check on the fish I was so happy??
Goodbye my love..
More in the reblogs!

Imagine being one of the few dozen fish (out of 1.500) who are reported to have survived this shit
This blows any apocalypse ever imagined by humans out of the water, pardon the pun

A 16-meter (52-foot) aquarium has burst at a hotel in downtown Berlin, Germany, rescue services said on Friday.
More than 100 first responders had been called in to deal with the damage at the Radisson Blu in the German capital's Mitte district, the cause of which was still unclear, Berlin's fire service said.
"The aquarium is damaged, water is leaking. The situation is not clear at the moment," the Berlin fire brigade wrote on Twitter.
Berlin's traffic agency VIZ said an extremely large volume of water had spilled over onto the street outside.
