It might not look like much progress, but after a lot of fine adjustments I am really starting to see the shapes appear. I love the fluidity of this pose. #Elatsoe 👻 🐕 is the main character from the book of the same name published by @levinequerido ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ If you are new to my account, my Followers voted and as a result I promised I would reveal all my illustration secrets while illustrating my favourite Ancient Ocean scene from the book. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ What makes me peculiar amongst illustrators is that I do not have a single style (probably because I’ an animator turned illustrator), instead I like to develop a look that would best suit the story. I also try to draw upon cultural elements for inspiration and challenge myself to learn something new with every project. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ For Elatsoe, I’m going to draw upon Apache sand paintings, but I also wish to create sweetness and beautiful rhythmic lines. I'm preparing a new large canvas with Gesso, this is for another "Straight Lines" piece, I'm not sure what I am going to do, well I do have a rough idea but as I roll the gesso on and give it a few coats, my idea will probably solidify. For me, Gesso is important to protect my artwork, but also for me to get to know the canvas: how it feels and its size.⁠ ⁠ Every piece I create is unique.
