2. What's something about your OC that people wouldn't expect just from looking at them?

Sev is for the most part very firmly in the jock/goth corner of that one cartesian plane, so it is probably a bit weird to find out that he's actually a massive comics nerd. He does also deliberately keep that to himself, since they haven't quite managed to kill the part of them that cringes and says that shit's for geeks. But! if you manage to get them going they will 100% turn into Thee Most Obnoxious Nerdlord it's like he's fucking possessed.

6. How easily could your OC be convinced to do something that goes against their moral compass?

This is a tough one, actually, and I think it's something I won't really know until I've played them more and put him in more situations where he's challenged on that sort of thing. I will say, though, that the "compass" Sev has been following since leaving the Sabbat has been more geared towards being civil than being moral. He's very much internalized the idea that capital G Goodness is no longer in the cards, and that the best he can do is try to relearn how to Act Like A Person. Very Disco Elysium "I don't want to be this kind of animal anymore." The other thing is that this bent towards "civility" is primarily driven by fear. Running around like monsters is what got their pack hit by hunters and he was nearly killed along with them. So I think in order for Sev to act out like that again he'd have to be under pressure of something he fears even more than being caught.

20. Does your OC have a tendency to get jealous? If so, how does this manifest?

They don't tend to be jealous- but he does get envious. Petty, too. As much as they lived their life to spite their parents, and did suffer retribution for that, they were still fucking spoiled as a child and that core entitlement is very much still there. They can be pretty damn patient about it, but fundamentally if it comes down to a point where someone has what Sev wants, and he absolutely cannot get it, then he's gonna try to make sure no one else can either.

I was looking at knitting pattern magazines (the reason is not important) and I came across a gorgeous ginger model, so now I've got a new modern AU stuck in my head about model Hux in collegiate knitwear and a young Ben buying a magazine subscription, then teaching himself how to knit just to cover for the fact that he's got stacks of knitting magazines (it's NOT just because of the hot model, REY, I swear!).

Omg I love this so much!

Ben is absolutely that nerd who would end up falling for a model in a knitting magazine. He can’t help himself, though, seeing such a gorgeous, poised man in high quality knitwear. Learning how to knit is absolutely a cover for his thirst and he plies people with scarves and socks he makes in an attempt to get them to leave him alone (Rey, who I’m envisioning as a younger cousin, does what younger cousins always do and continues to tease him anyways)

But the thing is, he gets pretty good at knitting, starting to use more complex patterns and doing some experimenting as well. He finds he can’t help imagining seeing the model in the things he knits, his face turning red at just the thought. Or, better yet, what it would be like to take his creations off the model…

Actually, I don’t think I ever posted the basis of Nolan’s Castlevania AU here~.

The worst part was knowing that he couldn't have been there.

Even if he had heard in time, even if he had made it to Targoviste before she was gone, no mortal's anger and desperation could have saved her.  Nolan could hold his own.  He had grown up playing and sparring with a dhampir and fighting off superstitious locals; he had to be strong and precise.  But he could not have stopped hundreds of armed people.  He would never have been able to stop it.  He would only have been able to watch, and watch, and watch until she died, if they didn't kill him first.

That didn't stop him from wishing he had been faster.

The second hardest part was knowing that his father had hurt Adrian.

His father started explaining before Nolan could begin to ask.  "Adrian could not allow it."  His hand was covered in blood, and he was staring out the window.  "He would have done anything to stop me."

Nolan couldn't sense his brother the way his father could.  His heart, already shredded, ached at the sight of all the blood on the floor.  Not him, too.  But his father's features, though mournful and strained, did not carry the grief of having killed his younger son.

"He will not die," his father said as if reading his thoughts.  "But he will sleep.  It will take him a long time to heal."

"How long?"

"Long enough."

Nolan understood.  He hated it, and he would not have done the same, but he understood.  Nothing they could do to Adrian would hurt him more than making him watch people suffer, even if they deserved it.  He had their mother's gentle heart.  They had grown up believing that Nolan had it, too.

Adrian didn't deserve this.  Neither did he deserve to watch the carnage that would come.  But Nolan—Nolan would watch.

Let his brother sleep.

Can you write about Amelia in university?

Amelia’s fingers tap against her desk as she looks out at the grey winter sky that casts the world in a gloomy darkness. She checks her phone for the tenth time in five minutes, huffing in frustration when there is no notification waiting for her. Dropping her head back as she bites her lip, she wonders what her fourteen year old self would think if she could see her now.

“She’d beat my ass,” she says to herself in resignation before sitting up and opening up her contact list.

Scrolling down to the S’s, Amelia’s finger hovers over Supreme Nerdlord until she rolls her eyes at herself and finally presses the call button. The line only rings twice.

“Shut up and just listen to me for a second,” she blurts. There is silence. “Teddy, are you there?”

“You told me to shut up and listen, you ass,” he replies.

Amelia sighs and again rolls her eyes. “Whatever. Are you free to talk?”

“Are mom and dad dead?” he asks with obvious concern.

“No!”

“Oh god, did something happen to Ruthie?”

“No, everyone is fine.”

“Then why the hell are you calling me?” he asks in confusion.

Amelia lets out a frustrated groan. “Do you have to make this so hard?”

“You called me, dude,” Teddy says, and Amelia can picture the way he is surely crossing his arms and leaning back in his chair, just like her dad would.

Amelia takes a deep breath, trying to push through her usual instincts of insulting her big brother. “I NEED GIRL ADVICE OKAY!”

She flings herself back onto her bed, and throws an arm over her eyes wanting to hide from the world.

“Are you still there?” she asks.

“Uh, yeah. Yeah, I’m here,” he answers. “So… what’s going on?”

“I like a girl.”

Teddy laughs. “Well, duh, you’re a lesbian.”

Amelia laughs despite herself, dropping her arm and looking up at the ceiling. “Very funny. But I’m serious. I have… a crush.”

Teddy’s response is immediate. “Bullshit.”

“Believe me, I wish.”

Teddy whistles in surprise. “So the great Amelia Jackson is human after all.”

“Don’t push it,” she says in a flat tone.

Teddy laughs, relaxed and carefree. “Take a breath, Mills. There’s worse things than actually  caring about someone.”

“You sound just like dad,” she drones.

“I take that as a compliment,” he says proudly.  

“It is one,” she admits. “But you’re also annoying.”

“Sorry, did you want my help or not?”

Amelia lets out a long, dramatic groan as she covers her eyes again. Her brother has never exactly been her confidante, but if she’s honest with herself, he’s one of the people she trusts most in the world. And one of the most sensitive.

“I’m... sorry,” she says slowly, as if the words pain her to say.

“Was that so hard?” he asks in his most patronizing tone.

“Yes. Now will you just… coach me on this whole feelings thing? I have no clue what to do with myself.”

Teddy is quiet for a moment, and when he speaks, his voice is soft and quiet. “I don’t think you’ve ever asked me for advice before.”

“Not since my first summer at camp,” Amelia adds.

She can hear her brother’s smile through the phone. “It’s kinda cool.”

Amelia’s smile is unavoidable, though she tries to play it cool. “Yeah, well, you’re just the biggest sap I know. Don’t get a big head or anything.”

“Yeah, yeah,” he says teasingly. “Now, do you wanna tell me about her?”

Amelia feels her cheeks blush despite herself. “If you ever try to mention this conversation to anyone, I will murder you in your sleep.”

“We get it, you’re scary and tough. Just tell me about this girl.”

“Teddy, she’s so pretty, I’m gonna die…”

Steadfast - Wary - Angsty - Quirky - Tactless - Sentimental INFP

You know like...nya? Peach wears his interests proudly. He's a bit of a fanboy, obsessed with anime, manga and video games in particular. He draws as a hobby, and he has a pile of OCs (What a NERDLORD). He grew up in an extremely sheltered, somewhat oppressive home. Early 2000's internet was formative for him; it was his main method of exploring the world outside of his bubble. He still kinda...puts off that early 2000's internet VIBE. -caramelldansen slowly fading in- But don't you worry - he's up to date on contemporary memes too. Peach is a dancer, gunnin' to become famous - he's currently a k-pop trainee. A few years ago he and Jaesoo were in a relatively unrecognized k-pop group, which disbanded dramatically.

These days, he lives kind of a double-life, trying to keep his online persona/shenanigans separate from his kpop idol lifestyle. He worries those two things just wouldn't mix well....the world isn't ready. Fans are on to him, but as long as he keeps that username under lock and key...he's good. Peach makes a horrible first impression. He's blunt, downtrodden, awkward, and just...kinda hard to grasp - this one's on a different wavelength. He's slow to warm up to people, but once you get into his heart he'd take a bullet for you. He's secretly very sentimental.

Art Fight Drawing tips:  -Peach doesn't have a default outfit – but he's partial to caps with cat-ears (He insists they're fox ears)  -He comfortably wears a lot of trendy, weird and versatile outfits. Go ham – he doesn't mind. -Left to his own devices, he tends to go for fitted, casual tops and jeans. -He's a trained dancer -Fangs (.....he's.....vampeer...did I mention....that's why his growing-up homelife was so oppressive. Questionable vampire clan rules. "No talkin' to the humans, they hate us yo. Stay inside, son. Don't ever ask to leave this tower again.") -The flower/freckle situation on the left half of his face is a tattoo. -Cat pupils -He has heterochromia - both eyes are a yellow-amber with a smidge of green in the center. -RBF -If you’re looking for people to draw him with, he’s friends with Jaesoo and Petra. He also knows Mave - though they have more of a love-hate acquaintance situation going on.
