hi! i would love a match-up! i’m 5’8 with an hour glass frame, blue hair/eyes, piercings and freckles. i’m not super lovey-dovey but I can be affected at times the ideal partner is someone intelligent and funny. I like people i can tease and go back/forth with all day. I am massive science nerd with my uni degree being in marine bio, I'm also athletic, I used to play volleyball in highschool (setter/captain), at uni I play lacrosse,I've also been a horse rider since I was 8, I also love cats.
🍰 for @sarcasms-my-second-language
Romantic Matchup
Kuroo Tetsurou
Tumblr media
How yall met
Yall got paired up together for a science project
Now you guys have been going to the same school for YEARS
But you never really talked to him yk
And he never really talked to you
So the beginning of this project was hella awkward
This was a legit convo yall had at the beginning
“So… atoms im i right”
“Yeah very uh...positive…”
“Ain't that a proton?”
“...”
“...”
“We should probably get to work”
“Yeah yeah for sure”
Yeah…. Very awkward
But things got less awkward as more time went on
Sometimes he would come to your house to work
And sometimes you would go to his
Or yall would just meet up in the library and work there
You two actually had a lot of fun working together!
And usually after every study sesh you guys would go find something fun to do
Sadly the project was going to be due soon
So there was really no reason for you two to hang out anymore
But kuroo didn't want to just stop hanging out with you :(
He actually really liked you
So he would still ask you if you wanted to come over and study every now and then
And eventually you two started developing feelings for eachother.
What they love about you
He loves how nerdy you can get
Oh don't get me wrong he teases you for it CONSTANTLY
But deep down he finds you nerding out super cute
His favorite thing is when you start to go on tangents about marine life
Because omg do you get PASSIONATE
He didn't recycle a plastic bottle ONCE
“Wow kuroo way to keep our oceans clean”
“Gee i'm sure that’ll make a delicious treat for a sea animal”
“Maybe i should shove plastic down your throat and see how you like it”
“Ok Y/n i get it :(“
Nah he uses his own water bottles now
He loves how athletic you are
I can see him liking someone whos into exercising and all that
So the fact that your active is a plus in his book
But once he finds out you stay active with volleyball?
Ohhh boy he didn't think he could love you any more than he did
He always asks you to help the team practice when you have time
And even does some one on one training with you
What you love about them
You love how he's so smart…
Yet so dumb at the same time
Now i think Kuroos pretty smart in science and math
But literature? Oh nah
Nah nah nah nah nah nah nah
He does not fuck with books
He prefers material that has a right or wrong answer you know?
Not work where you have to argue that your opinion is right
So yeah he's a real nerd when it comes to Science
And he can help you with math whenever you struggle
But if you give him a book and tell him to analyze it for meaning?
He’ll throw the book out the window
You love how sarcastic he can be
I swear when people listen to you guys talking to each other
They genuinely can't tell when your being serious or when your joking with each other
Cause it's just one sassy remark after another
But honestly that's what makes your convos so fun
So you wouldn't change it for the world
Favorite things to do together
I bet you thought i was going to say your favorite thing to do together was gonna be studying right?
WRONG
He actually really loves cuddling and watching movies with you
He says its because it's one of the only times you are affectionate towards him
And he wants to cherish those moments with you
So yeah movies and cuddles ALL DAY
Random Hc
You guys got an A on that project you got assigned
After that project you always pair up with kuroo in science class
Kuroko's favorite marine animal is a manatee or a sea lion
And yes he has asked for you to tell him anything and everything you know about them
He really likes to go horse riding with you
He's tried playing lacrosse with you but kinda sucks at it

Welcome to my multidimensional world.
Hello! I am so thankful to be able to share my story with you. Growing up, I knew intuitively that I was unique – and what I mean by that, as of course we are all unique, was that I didn’t fit into the status quo. I came into this life with fears, loves, and a feeling that this body was holding something extremely powerful inside.
I specifically remember being a young girl playing with toys in my bedroom. I had a multidimensional moment, which at the time I had not an understanding of what that meant. During this moment, my mind spoke to me and said “I know this life is strange, but you must keep going. I know that playing with these toys is not what you are used to, but you must keep going in this body. You are in an earthly body. You have an earthly family. You must keep going.” – Now I will admit I am paraphrasing as this feeling did not truly come to me in the English language, it was more a sensing of my mind and a “Knowing”. I have never forgotten that moment.
Throughout my twenty-six years on this earth and journeys around the sun I see-sawed between what I thought I was supposed to be and who I was. Looking back now and what my family and I did not know at the time was that; my heart was activated one thousand times more than your average eleven-year-old. How could I explain this to my loved ones around me as I didn’t know that their hearts were activated at a “statistically normal” level. My empathy seemed to be my weakness. My first heart break at eleven years old led me down a spiraling depression that I dug deeper and deeper until I was already six feet under, under water, swimming with whales and manatees in my mind, holding my breath.
I was looking up at these whales and manatees above me, a representation of the heaviness of the depression and anxiety weighing on me, and I could not find a hole or gap in between the swarm of them to swim to the top. I could hear my loved ones yelling, “You can do it! Don’t be weak!” They wanted me with their entire being to find a sweet spot, gather all the air left in my lungs, and make it to the shore.
I instead learned how to breathe under water, the universe gifted me temporary gills and I swam beneath the shallow waters, into a deep blue abyss. During my time in this abyss, I felt nothing for a while. I would spend my days wandering; hiding from beasts if need be and learning to live in the darkness. I began to enjoy the dive. The darkness held a special comfort for me. My friends and family began to fade away, they were still at the shore waiting for me, Some distant friends finally went home to themselves but my family never left that shore, waiting for me to surface.
Of course, sharing my story, I am currently sitting in a comfortable couch on earth writing on my laptop- so I must have made it back, which of course you must be assuming. But how?
I found myself swimming in the darkest depths of the water, lowest oxygen and nearing death. Suddenly, another creature had appeared. After some discovery, we realized we were both having the same experience of deep pain, that we had found comfort in the darkness and I fell deeply in love – in fact convinced that we were two pieces of one soul.
Unfortunately (or fortunately), I was deceived. We were separate. His pain was different than mine. See I was born in this life with a set of lessons to learn that were my very own; and at the time; thinking we shared one soul; I didn’t understand how his pain could run in different patterns that mine. Although I gave him every ounce of love I held in my heart, he shoved me into a deep dwelling cave and pushed a heavy rock over the door. This was his denial that my love could possibly be real. He had deceived himself; as I was genuine. I thought, “this is the end, I will die here. This life is full of pain, atleast it is almost over.”
This cave was so dark and full of beasts whispering into my ears. Their whispers told me “You don’t deserve life, you are unworthy of happiness, you are nothing. The world would be better without you. You are a liar. You are a fake.”
And at that moment in time, right before my death, my beloved mother scuba dove down into the deepest waters, sensing her blood line and following her intuition. She brought an army of angels with her and they were emitting the brightest light you could imagine. Twelve billion suns of light that lit up the entire ocean for miles.
The angels, with my mother leading them, rolled open the rock, and carried my depleted, empty body back up to shore. My mind was still intact; my soul was still holding on. I knew my soul was powerful from childhood; but it was this moment that began my awakening; my evolving, my ascension. I could not have made it here without my earthly mother. Little did I know the entire time I was wandering the abyss she was gathering the tools necessary to pull me out from it. That she battled her way through the darkness and brought the light to me. She held my body-mind and healed many of my wounds with her own selfless love.
When I got back to land it took time for my acclamation. I had been broken for so long – but during my rescue the light of twelve billion suns entered my heart. Nothing could ever be the same. I found the light in my mind. I discovered the true ability of my power.
I have since learned that the healer is not always healed, that we are all on this journey together around the sun; ALL of us as one mind. I have since learned that there is no one you look in the eyes that is not deserving of love. I have since learned that forgiveness takes time, but it is not impossible. I have since learned that I am not here to judge you no matter what acts you perform or what type of life you choose. I have since learned it is my goal to align my current earthly mind with my highest self that will guide me through this life in the most beneficial way possible for the micro and the macro. I have since learned I have spiritual abilities that have and are continuously being activated. I have since learned that I have a soul family and soul guides that resonate on a frequency I always have access to if need be. I have since learned that we are never alone; we are always surrounded by guides. That Jesus Christ Consciousness is available to activate your heart whenever you are ready. That there are light workers, energy workers, mystics, psychics, and healers who walk the earth in order to assist others out of the abyss. I like the phrase “If I made it to the light, so can you.” And you cannot ever deny the light in this physical world. When you go outside, and the sun is shining you see it in its physical form. You are made of that – the science is there if you need it – but you can Know it inside the stillest part of your mind; the fulcrum of which your energy rests upon.
This is what led me to energy work. I began a yoga practice, and a meditation practice, and a spiritual practice. I have been to church, I have done the religious thing, and I have gotten good and bad out of that. What works for me is to follow what I hear in my heart. I don’t need a physical building – I have an entire community of people in real life and spirit guides who are “my people” (in theory because some of them are pure energy and I don’t need to envision them in creature form) ; I have everything I need right inside my own mind. I have found that at times for split moments I am one with God. I have rested in His hands. I have felt the cold rush of angels entering my energetic field. I have felt the incredible life force energy running from my crown above my head down through every cell, atom, electron, proton, and neutron of my body; filling it up with a love that detoxes out anything negative that needs to be released.
Energy work performs natural miracles from the power of God that when we desire and ask and set the correct intention – we are given. Sit with that for a moment.
If I can do this, anyone can. I have been to the darkest hole, and I have risen to the highest mountain. The pinnacle. I am now standing on that mountain ready to accept the life that is calling out to me.
Energy workers, light beings, reiki practitioners, mystics, and psychics all have a story. I believe they run deep – thousands of years – and in each life they may find their way back home to themselves. I have, and I am grateful beyond belief to God that I have found my way home; and I am working towards a state where there is more than a split second of being in His Oneness, His omnipotence; omnipresence; and omniscience surrounds us all.
Welcome. I am Cristina Rae, and I am blessed to share who I am. This is just the very beginning. I love you all – I am imagining how beautiful you all are, on the inside and on the outside, and how our connection; if You have read this far; may be divine timing for a beautiful and magical outcome. I cannot wait to share more with you. If you’d like to contact me for now the best way is

What advise would you give to someone considering making a magical creature based Kaiju. I know you yourself dropped quite a few because they were too overtly fantastical, so how do we avoid this?
You have to make it grounded in reality, or at least what 1950′s/60′s monster stories considered “realistic.”  It also helps if the mythic creature you’re adapting is fairly obscure/doesn’t have a well known “iconic” appearance.  I’ll take the few mythological monsters in ATOM as my examples:
Nothing about Mastemuth is more fantastical than Tyrantis.  Its cluster of horns and mix of wooly fur and rhino-like armored skin all come from different iconic Ice Age Monsters - just as Tyrantis’s mix of horns and spikes are just a blend of different dinosaurs and reptiles.  Mastemuth is a creature that could feasibly evolve without magic, and one you can easily imagine finding in a prehistory textbook.
Bobo, Girtabane, and Nastadyne’s fantastical appearances are all lifted more from/inspired by props and costumes from pre-existing giant monster movies.  Girtabane’s face is basically a result of mixing the woefully inaccurate puppet from The Black Scorpion with an actual scorpion, Bobo’s separate head and humanoid arms are in too many monster designs to list, and Nastadyne is basically a slightly more beetle-like Megalon.  They stretch reality, sure, but they do so in a way that fits with how atom age sci-fi and horror stories did.
Kutulusca’s design is straight out of weird fiction - it wouldn’t look out of place in “Tales to Astonish” or any other similar monster comic.
Note that all of the above monsters have mythic counterparts that don’t have established iconography - I’ve seen hundreds of Behemoth designs, and the only thing they have in common is “big”.  With krakens, all you get in common at most is “squid-like” and “tentacles.”  And fairies?  Well, they do have an iconic design - little women with butterfly wings - but the proto-fairies represented here don’t look like that at all.  Why is this important?  Well, it’s important because no one would recognize these kaiju as the mythic monsters unless they were told that was the case - because these particular mythic monsters aren’t easily recognized.  That’s the wonderful loophole.
Finally, we get Kraydi - probably the one who tows the line the most.  Yet even then, he mostly just looks like a big weird monitor lizard - the only tells are his horns and the spike at the tip of his tail.  Yet he’s far from the ONLY monster in ATOM to have those features either - horns are pretty common in ATOM, and tail spikes only slightly less so.  And it’s not like 1950′s monster stories wouldn’t make more overt references to mythology - Reptilicus is presented as being a prehistoric monster, but he’s also pretty clearly draconic.  Gorgo’s fin ears bear more than a little resemblance to a medieval sea serpent woodcut.  And even if we discount Manda, King Ghidorah, and King Shisa, Godzilla’s facial features have more than a little Japanese dragon in them.
I guess the bottom line is this: in 1950′s creature features, monsters were almost always a product of science gone awry first and foremost.  If they resembled mythic beasts, it was mostly for flavor - a touch of older monster tropes mixed in with mostly newer, “modern” ones.  They’d rarely be a “dragon” outright, but they could easily be the inspiration for the dragon - a pterodactyl that looks just a touch wyvern-y, a t.rex that breathes fire, etc.  If you try to go that route - try to imagine a mundane, prehistoric version of a mythic beast - you’ll probably find something that works.
Or, perhaps more simply: make kaiju that are the equivalent of the manatees that inspired tales of mermaids.

Reflections on Manatee Coin Club’s 60 Years
Submitted by the Manatee Coin Club
The Cuban Missile Crisis couldn’t do it, nor could the 1960s racial riots. Vietnam, Afghanistan, Iraq, the War on Terror, Watergate, Whitewater, Iran/Contra, and Russian voter interference made no difference. The Great Recession of 2008, and bullion highs and lows could not shut it down. An unseen foe, however, a virus of all things, forced the Manatee Coin Club of Bradenton, Fla., into a prolonged hiatus after 60 years of meetings.
Numismatists organized the Manatee Coin Club sometime in 1960. That same year, 40 miles south, the Venice Coin Club began. To commemorate their 60th anniversaries, the clubs have purchased 1960 proof sets. With Numismatic Guaranty Corporation’s assistance, the clubs created some sample sets and individual slabs so that every member could afford a souvenir. Any remaining sample slabs will be offered for sale.
The Manatee Club intended a special celebration at its annual banquet in March, however, COVID-19 disrupted those plans. Many of our members returned north for the summer, and fall festivities remain unscheduled. Through e-mail and a dedicated secretary, the club continues communication.
Records from meetings prior to 1980 have disappeared. Regrettably, Fred Vandergraff Sr., one of the last surviving founders of the club, died five years ago. The remaining records, however, offer interesting nuggets of history about the club and west Florida numismatics.
The club began meeting in the Palmetto Police station, across the river from Bradenton. The club moved to Bradenton where it met in a Singer Sewing store owned by  Vandergraff. Since Fred gradually became a coin dealer as well, the store was a good meeting site. After using the common room of College Park retirement home, the club secured its current site in the classrooms of the Christian Reformed Church. Through these moves, the local coin shops anchored the hobby by directing visitors to the club.
The club hosted shows at various locations throughout the years. In 1987 the club held its first show at the Manatee Convention Center and continued there for one-day and two-day shows into the 1990s. Later shows followed in hotel meeting rooms and a mobile home recreation center. During the last decade, Manatee and Sarasota clubs joined forces with promoter Frank Cox to sponsor spring and fall shows in the Sarasota Municipal Auditorium.
Notices of the annual club banquet bring to mind restaurants that no longer exist such as Betty’s Lunch, and the Pewter Mug. Finding adequate dining space remains a challenge amid a fluid restaurant industry; however, the bullion raffle and a free or subsidized meal became the social highlight of the year.
Given the transient nature of modern life, the membership list changed noticeably over a decade. A few children came with their parents but grew up and moved away. New retirees came into this sun-and-sea mecca. Over the years, the membership fluctuated between 30 to 50 individuals. In the bylaws, dues began at $2 a year and have risen to only $7.50 per individual. It is $10 for a family because affordability remains important to the club.
Perusing the surviving minutes, one wades through mundane business matters, but also some interesting events. A newspaper clipping from 1963 describes a member’s display at an open house of the Gamble Mansion, a Civil War-era plantation. A photo shows a booth set up perhaps in the 1970s at the Manatee County Fair. In 1994, a club member unknowingly acquired an early member’s photo album in an estate sale jumble box. The club searched for surviving family members through the media. A month later, ecstatic family members retrieved the prized possession that was misplaced during the sale.
Of course, bullion and coin prices fluctuated greatly over 60 years. Collecting trends and favorites changed along with affordability. Knowledge, expertise, and coins passed from “old-timers” to novices. One illustrates how much the hobby has changed. From December 1981, the minutes describe a discussion regarding silver dollars graded MS-63, which flowed into the numerical grading system. The “general consensus is that such close grading is splitting hairs.”
In the eyes of those long-gone collectors, the hobby’s grading may seem like splitting atoms today. No doubt, given the world’s fixation with the atom in 1960, they would understand the analogy. In that era of uncertainty for the world’s survival, a group of numismatists demonstrated hope in the future of the hobby. For that faith, the current Manatee Coin Club salutes them.
