“that’s enough.” DRAKEN snatches the last of your many drinks for the night before you can gulp it down. being the perceptive boyfriend he is, he can already hear the complaint that’s about to slip from your tongue so he’s quick to pull you by the wrist, up from your seat and out the door. “where are you taking me?” you ask as clearly as your drunken state can let you—not so much but enough for your boyfriend to understand. “home.” at his curt reply, you yank your hand from his grip with a strength that startles even toman’s former vice president. “what the hell are you doing?” draken hisses lest you make a scene in public. “i’m calling my boyfriend,” you warn him, “bet he can kick your ass.” “yeah? i’d like to see him try.” he dismisses your empty threat, reaching for you once more to guide you to the exit but upon hearing a few whispers from prying strangers who are clearly getting the wrong idea, he stops in his tracks and turns to no one in particular, no longer caring about whatever commotion he may cause as his voice booms over the loud music: “i’m the boyfriend!”

MITSUYA is helping you get on your feet—sweet boyfriend he is—but as soon as you find your footing, you give him a hefty shove. “i have a boyfriend, jackass!” you seethe, too drunk to recognize him, and all he can do is sigh as he regains his balance. “yes. me.” something clicks in your brain at his response and you squint your eyes to get a better look at him. “takashi?” “hi, love.” and just like that, you perk up, your mouth stretching into a wide grin. “taka,” you squeal, excitement coursing through your veins when you recognize your boyfriend, “hiiiii~” he laughs at the shift in your tone and takes the opportunity to slide an arm around your waist once more. “let’s get you home okay?” “mhm.” you wrap your arms around him and he lifts you with ease. mitsuya assumes you’re fast asleep until a few minutes later, you mumble something against his skin, “someone tried to flirt with me but i said no.” a chuckle bubbles past his lips as he adjusts his hold on you. “really?” “mhm,” you nod into his neck as you snuggle closer, “i only love you.” “i love you more.” “love you most,” you reply before soft snores fall from your lips and your breathing evens out.

you’re rambling about RINDOU to rindou himself, going on and on about the reasons that made you fall in love with him. and while you’re occasionally interrupted by your hiccups, he patiently listens to your every word then he hears a “but.” the ways you describe him next are less flattering, less romantic—how he tries so hard to act indifferent to your cooing as if the tips of his ears don’t instantly turn red. or how he has a permanent scowl etched on his face. and other things you already tell him even when you’re sober. “he’s really lucky he doesn’t have any wrinkles yet,” you add with a giggle. “you’re really annoying when you’re drunk, you know that?” rindou deadpans. despite the lack of lighting in the club, he doesn’t miss the shock washing over you, your eyes getting mistier by the second. “what?” your voice comes out shaky and your bottom lip starts to wobble, making rindou release another groan. “for fuck’s sake.”

in spite of your insistence to stay at the club, RAN easily managed to drag you to his car. this isn’t his first rodeo. as an older brother, he has had to deal with rindou when he was blackout drunk. “where are we going?” you mumble as you begin to stir in the passenger seat. “home.” “i wanna see ran.” your boyfriend throws you a quick glance—your eyes remain closed and the rest of your words are incomprehensible—before he focuses back on the road. amused by your drunken state, he plays along. “alright, we’re going to ran.” the stretch of silence that follows is cut short when you speak again, “i’m thirsty.” so ran makes a quick stop at a convenience store, coming back shortly with a bottle in hand. he unscrews the cap before he gives you the drink, “careful.” you take a big gulp, instantly grimacing at the taste and it elicits a snort from your boyfriend. “what is this?” “water.”

“want more,” you slur. across from you, HANMA watches as you clumsily reach for the empty shot glasses on the table, flipping them upside down as if more alcohol will magically appear. he’s not going to lie—he finds it funny. entertaining, even. and if the circumstances were any different, he would’ve even encouraged this behavior. but he’s your boyfriend now and if there’s one thing he truly cares about, it’s you. drunk out of your wits, you don’t notice when hanma slides out of the booth until he’s soon presenting two more glasses to you. even though the contents are the same, he asks you to choose, “which one?” “hmm… that.” before you can get your hands on your drink, hanma intercepts and downs it in one go. you’re about to protest when he throws you over his shoulder and chugs the other drink out of your sight before heading for the exit. “let’s go.”

♡ SLEEPING ON THE COUCH AFTER AN ARGUMENT

you sit on the edge of the couch, watching him putting all the blankets and pillows to their old places. sighs and huffs leave him as he moves around in the room, clearly still frustrated after the fight between you two, but he refuses to not sleep in the same room as you.

it doesn’t take too long before you finally enter the bedroom to find him changing into a pair of sweatpants. “if i see you trying to make a bed for yourself there again, i will carry you here next time, so go sleep,” he says as he lays down under the covers, watching as you do the same.

you glance over at him, staying still on your back with your hand outside the blanket, making it easy for baji to reach for it with his own, intertwining your fingers together without saying a single word. he is slightly turned to his side, but his eyes are closed and you can’t help but smile slightly, perhaps you might be able to solve the fight tomorrow or it may already be solved.

eventually, you begin to sit up and look down towards him. he reaches for your hand before leading you into the bedroom so the two of you can lay down beside each other.

“i’m sorry for overreacting,” you whisper as you lay on your side, keeping eye contact with him but he simply shakes his head, flashing you a light smile. “you didn’t, i get why we were both angry at each other, we’ll do better next time we’re frustrated,” he strokes your cheek before leaning in to place a soft kiss to your lips. “as long as we solve it at the end of the day, it’ll always be okay.”

TAKASHI MITSUYA

he tried, he really did try to fall asleep without you by his side, simply because he wanted to respect your privacy and allow you to be in your own little bubble, but he can’t fall asleep. he can barely close his eyes as he can only think about you and how he shouldn’t have raised his voice as much as he previously did. he needs to apologize and beg you to come to bed, otherwise he might break down and cry, not that he would admit it.

“hey baby, i’m sorry for earlier,” he whispers as he sits on the edge of the couch, stroking your leg lightly as you open your eyes to look at him. mitsuya looks back at you for a moment before wrapping both of his arms around your waist and helping you up into a sitting position before pulling you in for a warm hug.

he hides his face in the crook of your neck while holding onto you tightly. “we’re okay, right? i’m sorry for acting the way i did,” mitsuya speaks quietly and you lean further into him, closing your eyes while doing so. “we’re okay, i’m sorry too,” you mumble.

the two of you keep holding onto each other before he opens his mouth once again. “will you come sleep in our bed?” he asks and you smile softly before nodding your head and following him into the bedroom you two share.

KEN RYUGUJI

he sighs as he watches you try to make a bed for yourself on the couch. his arms are crossed and he’s leaning against the wall, eventually rolling his eyes when you begin to walk towards the bathroom to brush your teeth. ken quickly grabs your arm, pulling you towards him so you cannot walk any further.

“you’re not sleeping out here tonight,” he says and you stare back at him, trying to stay mad as the two of you look at each other. “yes i am, you don’t have any control over me.” “i don’t have control over you but i think we both know that we can’t sleep without each other, so stop making a bed for yourself out here and sleep in the same bed as me.”

for a second, he almost looks unsure as he speaks. he bites at the inside of his cheek, waiting for your reply as he keeps holding your arm, afraid to let go. “am i allowed to brush my teeth?” you ask and he nods, loosening his grip on your arm so you can leave for the bathroom and he can get ready for bed. he still doesn’t know if you will decide to join him or not, but he stays hopeful.

ken slides under the covers and looks towards the door right until it opens and you come inside. you don’t say a word as you lay down beside him and he lets out a sigh of relief before moving slightly closer to you, wrapping his arms around your waist like he always does. “i’m sorry,” he whispers as you rest your head on his chest. “i don’t ever want to make you feel like you can’t sleep in the same bed as me.”

you reach for his hand and intertwine your fingers with his, letting out a quiet hum. “i overreacted a little as well, it’s not all your fault. we’ll just do better next time,” you admit and he nods, smiling gently as he holds you as close as he possibly can.

MANJIRO SANO

sleeping in a different room than your boyfriend was much more of a difficult task than you thought. you have come to the realization of how much his tight hugs and warm cuddles helped you fall asleep at night, how comforting they were. no matter how mad you previously were at him, you can’t help but miss him, even though he’s only a room away and fortunately, he seems to be feeling the same.

SHINICHIRO SANO

your boyfriend was never one who would yell at you nor raise his voice whenever you did something he didn’t enjoy. instead he would try to act as if nothing was wrong, not wanting to communicate his feelings and this was something you didn’t like. he always pretended like everything was okay as if he can’t speak to you about his feelings, so you eventually decided to ask him what was wrong and after lots of convincing to speak, he couldn’t take it anymore. he lost it completely, yelling in your face and asking you to leave him alone.

“it’s okay, shin. i’m sorry for trying to pressure you into talking, but it really does help if you would communicate your feelings to me. i always want to know whenever you’re feeling down or if there’s something i’ve done that you don’t like. i won’t ever get mad at you for any of that, so there’s no need to hold your feelings back, okay?” you stroke his head and he nods frantically as he grips onto you tightly.

manjiro sano is a deep sleeper so it takes a good while for you to finally wake him up, and when he eventually does, he looks around in confusion. “hm? don’t wanna wake up yet,” he mumbles while pulling you close to him. “let’s sleep in for longer, i don’t wanna get up.”

you sigh and break free from his grip. “i can’t sleep, mikey,” you admit while looking down at him. for a minute, he looks up at you with a raised brow as he doesn’t seem to understand what the problem might be, but then he chuckles lightly. “did the movie scare you that much, baby? i thought you said you weren’t scared,” he fake pouts and reaches for your hands to intertwine his fingers with yours. “do you need me to protect you? your savior is here!”

he squeezes your hands and you roll your eyes, allowing him to pull you back down so you now lay on top of him. he lets go of one of your hands and puts it in your hair instead, gently brushing through the soft strands. “it’s just those scary people that keep popping up every time i close my eyes,” you mutter and mikey smiles softly.

“well, i’m a good fighter so i’ll protect you if they come here. so even if you see them now when you close your eyes, i can talk to you to make you forget them,” he mumbles and you nod, seeming to enjoy that idea, so you close your eyes and listen to the sound of his calming voice, forcing you to forget those ugly faces that’s been on your mind for hours.

mikey keeps stroking your hair and leans in to kiss your forehead when he notices how you’re barely awake anymore. “no more horror movies from now on, i guess.”

SHINICHIRO SANO

you’re straddling his lap as you poke his cheeks to wake him up from the deep slumber he’s succumbed to. his mouth is slightly open and his hair messy from twisting and turning in his sleep, but he still succeeds to wake up from all your poking. “hm? what’s wrong? are you okay?” he grabs your waist as soon as he wakes up, staring right into your eyes as worry begin to fill them.

“i’m fine shin! i just wanted to ask you something…” you mumble, looking away as your face begins to heat up now that he’s finally awake and you can ask him what you wanted. he is still looking up at you with a hint of worry in his eyes as he rubs your waist with his thumbs. “can i have kisses?” you finally ask and as soon as the question is asked, the corners of your boyfriend’s lip curl up into a grin.

he nods and puts a hand on your back to indicate for you to lay down on him. you quickly do as he asks before he cups your face and leans in to press a kiss to your lips. he doesn’t even question the fact that you woke him up for something you can get in the morning instead, he just allows your lips to mold together as he continues to kiss you for what feels like an eternity, a good eternity.

shinichiro moves from your lips to place kisses to every single part of your face. he smiles to himself when hearing the sounds of your giggles filling the dark room and his lips continue to adventure over the different areas of your face. he spends some extra time by your cheeks to then go back to your nose so he can leave a few kisses on the bridge of it. “i love you,” he mumbles before once again kissing your lips.

you hum and fully relax in his arms as the kisses never seems to stop, but they unfortunately have to so you can catch some air again. your boyfriend wraps his arms around your waist and sighs contently as you nuzzle your face into the crook of his neck. “go back to sleep now or you’ll be tired in the morning,” he whispers while holding you tight. “i’ll give you as many kisses as you want tomorrow.”

Tokyo Revengers Men + Romance Tropes

A/N: Once again applying some of my favorite tropes to these characters.

MIKEY + DIFFERENT WORLDS

Avoids you so much at first. He likes you a lot, and knows you don't belong in the world of fighting, blood and violence that he's involved him. The last thing he wants is to see you get hurt because he was selfish in his need to be with you. But you can't stay away, the two of you feel a magnetic pull towards each other. Unable to stop you from following him around he vows to be the most supportive and caring man you'll ever meet.

DRAKEN + FAKE RELATIONSHIP

Only with you to get his friends off his back cause they're trying to set him up with so many people. You're one of the few he can stand. It's nice when he kisses you, it's nice when he waits for you to walk together, even if it's complete silence, it's nice when you eat lunch together because he feels like there's some kind of quality time quota he needs to fill. He never thought he would look forward to seeing you as much as he did, every day after class.

SHINICHIRO + REUNION ROMANCE

The two of you haven't seen each other for years after high school. He knows you still remember him as the tough, scary delinquent but he's not that person anymore, he has people to protect, lead and inspire now. You can be one of those people too if you give him a second chance. Regardless he's always happy to see your face when you walk by, he always blushes when you start smalltalk with him, and practically jumps in joy when you ask him on a date.

KAZUTORA + TOUCH HER AND YOU DIE

Has so much overprotective and possessive energy when you're together that no one dares to approach you. His hand is always on your lower back or your hip, not holding your hand, he feels much more in control of the situation that way. Any man who gets flirty with you will have to be ready to throw down with him, especially if they get into your personal space a bit too much for comfort. He is the only one who can do that.

BAJI + PLAYBOY IN LOVE

Heads turn towards him where ever he goes, he has that effect on people but the only eyes he wants on him are yours, just like he only sees you. Didn't start out as a serious relationship, merely a way to relieve stress for the both of you. Over the course of it you noticed he started to spend a lot more time with you as opposed to the other women he would be with. Wanting to make you feel special he started staying over, no sex needed, just your company.

every time you sit on the couch, he takes that as an invitation to lay his head on your lap and make himself comfortable. he would also expects you to play with his hair.

you take off his glasses for fun. usually, he would just tell you to give them back but when you put them on and start to act like him, he will have no choice to think that it's the cutest thing he's ever seen. he quickly snaps out of it before his smile could get any wider and demanding them back.

rindou, yamagishi

he claims it is a simple "let's get ice cream after school". while you were enjoying the beautiful sunset as it slowly paints the sky orange, he would only look at you as his cheeks slowly become pink tinted. he's smitten.

draken, chifuyu, kakucho, inui

trust me on this.. he is the type of guy to have no shame when it comes to his crush. all his cold demeanour is out of the window, maybe acts as a tsundere sometimes. he would purposely bump into you, just so he can help you up with rizz. (i have the "you ladies alright?" in mind iykwim 😭)

ran, kokonoi, peh-yan

this person is very shy and would not even be able to get his words out when you approach him and his friends. would most likely hide, run or even pretend he doesn't see you. will only talk once he's used to your presence (yet his heart feels like a construction site and alarms in his head goes off).

hakkai, chifuyu, takuya, angry

he would lean down and whisper in your ear when you are not aware that he's there. he does not realize his impact and how it makes you flustered? maybe he does.. (✧ω✧) he also takes pride in the fact that, he completely towers over you when you guys are standing close to each other.

ran, kazutora, hanma, sanzu, shion

brings this tiny bag everywhere filled with chapstick, cute bandaids and even hair ties. most of it is yours and he calls it "the emergency pouch". i also feel like he's the type of person to take really really long showers instead of venting when he can, it helps him calm down :C

mitsuya, baji, shinichiro
