In anticipation of Trolls Band Together, here’s my drawing of Poppy, Branch, Rose, Jussy a.k.a @jade-green-butterfly, and Cooper, ready to infiltrate Mount Rageous Records and rescue Rose’s parents, John Dory, Spruce, Clay, Floyd, Bridget, and Gristle with the rest of the Snack Pack and their friends. They are all wearing customized boilersuits that Satin and Chenille made for everyone, different shades, hair or head accessories (optional), and sneakers so that they’d be both looking fashionable and functional at the same time. Rose is equipped with a katana instead of a laptop because she wants to go all Kill Bill and even the score between her and Velvet and Veneer (if you want to ask me what is the beef between the two, go ahead).
This is the inspiration of the pic:

Colin's horse vest is haunting me. It's like he's wondering what it will take for Penelope to see the man behind the tan, and fight for him.

there is something so satisfying about two of the most famous and anticipated movies this year, that both broke box office records, both having a jewish protagnist. take that antisemites.

sorry im still thinking about how everybody in barbie (2023) is called barbie or ken (apart from midge and allen) and while its disappointing that barbie and ken's friends like christie, teresa, brad and steven haven't appeared i understand why they didn't do that. While we don't actually know if they'll still show up in the movie (doesn't seem likely), i think they did this to appeal to everybody not just people who are really into barbie. like most people/people that don't really pay attention to barbie don't know the names of their friends, they just refer to them as "[defining feature] barbie"
also i think its funny that everybody in that world is called barbera and kenneth. but there could still be hope that barbie's friends do show up if they bothered to put a spotlight on midge and allan (but i still think its all just for comedic purposes, because allan is a forgotten character and midge had controversy surrounding one of her dolls. plus midge and allan will probably have something going on in the movie because canonically allan got midge pregnant and you know, midge is pregnant in the movie)

Everyone shut up. This
This right here.
I'm crying, and cannot put into words how much this means for me. The genuine and kind smiles with just a hint of mischief on Ruth's end. How different their wardrobes look with the dark green vs bright pink, but you can see that they are automatically in solidarity with each other. How Barbie is smiling, but it's not the barbieland smile, and has so many other emotions underneath the surface.
oh my lord I just know this scene will make me cry even harder.

I almost feel bad for saying it, but I relate more to Ken than I did to Barbie.
I’m non binary and feel so far removed from what a woman should be. I’ve always been a tomboy and loud and opinionated, haven’t been shaving in years, my make up is weird, I have the body of a little boy, I don’t really care for what the world thinks of me.
Of course, anti women stuff still deeply harms me, as I’m perceived as a woman. But Barbie’s arc about learning that you’ll never be enough for patriarchy didn’t feel really relatable to me personally.
And I don’t wanna take away from anyone that felt seen and empowered from it. Like I still very much got the message and see avd still feel how it is important.
However, feeling like a accessory and being someone’s “and [swug]”, somehow made me feel very seen. Desperate for love and attention
(Until the point where he liked patriarchy and horses cause patriarchy sucks and I’m scared of horses)
Yea idk… Ken is just so GENDER

Guess what, my three new Platinum Troll ocs, Linden, his younger twin sisters, Aurora and Twilight are actually Queen Rose’s younger brother and sisters. They crashed into King Gristle and Bridget’s wedding with John Dory to ask Queen Poppy, Branch, and Queen Rose for help to save Floyd from Velvet and Veneer. The reason these siblings tagged along is not only to save Branch’s long-lost brother but someone else as well.
In this masterpiece, Rose’s wedding outfit is inspired from the current Barbie movie, starring Margot Robbie as Barbie and Ryan Gosling as Ken.

Barbie is an awesome aroace icon and also I really appreciate that while it's established that she is completely uninterested in sex, she still has a thorough understanding of the concept. Her lack of libido doesn't result in any infantilization from the writing.

“How do you think they’re going to feel when they find out you’re cosplaying as a minimum wage worker?”
“I don’t know.”
“I just don’t want to see you get hurt.” The again remains unspoken.
