Don't get me wrong. I'm not a paragon of mental health or balanced thinking. I'm not. There are just some things and ways that I think that are healthy and useful skills.

#i dont know who i am right now. i feel more like veronica than kk... #anyways. as a system. there are ways that we look at the world. #like taking responsibility for our own actions and holding ourselves accountable for them. sure thats partly trauma but its partly healing #its so hard sometimes for us to not point out how helpful it would be for someone to stop & look at what theyve contributed to a #negative situation. because life is complicated and people are complicated. #and sometimes admitting that i did a shitty thing that hurt someone to that person AND to MYSELF is what it takes to repair things. #sometimes it hurts to admit to myself that i did something awful or even just kind of dickish. but i do. #and i dont know. i think its partly a self-humbling that comes with vulnerability but its also this... #honesty exercise. like. if you cant be honest with yourself then you cant grow as a person. #and i can be so angry at and hurt by someone and STILL say Yes I Did Something Wrong too. #and nobody read this and think im talking about abusers because im not. #if its an abuser situation then dont try to fix anything just try to survive and escape. #but on that note! lol. this has also helped me not feel guilty for being abused. #taking responsibility for MY actions and holding myself accountable for MY actions has made it easier for me to let go of responsibility #for things that other people say and do including when its shit that hurts me. #i dont feel guilty for things my abusers did even if i did something that triggered it or led to it bc they CHOSE to abuse me. #they didnt have to. but what they did isnt my responsibility. disobedience doesnt require abuse. my responsibility is what came after. #do you see what i mean? how that frees me? #and in doing this and getting better at it its almost like im getting better at seeing whats actually my fault and responsibility #and its making it easier to set boundaries because i see my responsibilities and needs vs how others actions affect me #you see? #yeah...

a/n- watching the oscars inspired me to write an award show fic lol. also i chose the brits bc theyre british idek. another thing ik this picture is alexa chung but i just want to preface reader has no description except blushing and i do not picture her in any way specific i just liked this picture. lastly ive been so unmotivated to write so i tried tonight but ive been hating everything i write so the longer chapter im working on is taking awhile but its coming. im like 2k deep and not even halfway into the plot lol. anyway love u all.

The champagne you had been consuming tonight brought a heavy flush to your skin. The round table you all were surrounding was decorated elegantly and littered with drinks. Your head was perched in your fist and a look of awe was evident on your features. This was the boy's second year attending the Brits but it still ceased to amaze you. 

It was easy to forget they were a largely appreciated group now and these luxury events were a part of that. You were more dressed up than you think you’d ever been. Remus had wrapped his arms around you from behind when you were putting the finishing touches on, meeting your gaze in the mirror. He looked more than attractive in his simple black suit and his lips pressed to your neck, “You look beautiful.” Your face lit up at his words and your heart melted even at his most simple compliments. 

You, the band, and the team’s managers were all watching the current artist perform on stage and Remus had his arm wrapped tightly around your shoulders. They were nominated in the next category and you could tell the boys were tense. You moved to sit up straight and glanced at Remus. He caught your gaze and warmly smiled at you. You returned the gesture and leaned into him. 

“Even if you don’t win, I’ll still love you.”

He laughed, “Good to know.”

You smiled against him and rested your hand on his thigh, squeezing. The artist on stage finished and the room felt crowded with anticipation for the next award- Best Group. The band was up against some impressive names, but they’d put in the hard work and you believed they deserved to win. 

You could feel Remus’ hold on you grow intense as the announcers walked on stage. Your heart was racing and you could hardly retain what they were saying, catching certain words as your mind fluttered. Impressive. Best. Wonderful. Praise was floating around the room as short descriptions of the nominated bands played for the audience. 

When the last clip played, a cute montage of the boys sitting around you, and the woman on stage reached for the envelope, you held your breath. Remus grabbed your hand, squeezing it in his fist. You returned the gesture and glanced at the boys around you. James and Sirius leaned close to one another, Lily clutching James’ hand nearby. Peter was resting his face on his palm, their manager clutching his back. 

The boy’s had been invited to the ceremony last year under the Best New Band/Music category, but with only an EP out they hadn’t expected anything. And while their wins were unsuccessful, the experience itself had been amazing. 

This year the boys had produced a number one album and had been traveling all over the UK for shows. They had been dreaming of this moment, but were too scared to admit they might win- or lose. 

Your fingers were aching and time slowed as you anticipated the reveal. Your breath held still, you swore you heard wrong when both announcers shouted, “The Marauders!!!”

You gasped and reached for Remus as he sprouted out of his seat. You followed and he pulled you into him, smashing his lips against yours. You laughed and returned the gesture. Breaking away, you shared a yell of excitement and he squeezed your arms tightly. You both turned to the table, celebrating quickly as they moved towards the stage. 

Everyone’s smile was bright and unbelieving. You hugged Lily close as they greeted the announcers and moved to the mic. Sirius, the frontman he was, grabbed the award and lifted it up in appreciation. You cheered along with everyone and watched as he glanced at his bandmates in shock. 

“Fuck. Wow. Thank you.” He laughed. 

James threw his arms around Remus and Peter behind Sirius and they all grinned like madmen. Your hands moved over your face in shock, unbelievably proud of your boys and how far they’ve come. Sirius thanked their fans and the other bands nominated and finished with a group hug with his best mates. 

They shuffled off the stage and came back over in an adrenaline induced state. You hugged James, Peter, and lastly Sirius who held you close and whispered his love to you. Remus approached you again with a beautiful, bashful smile on his face. He kissed you sweetly and wrapped his arms tightly around you. 

When you sat back down you barely paid any attention to the ceremony and you took turns holding the award and admiring it. 

Remus pulled you close to his side again and moved his hand to your exposed thigh. He gently slid his hand up, whispering, “I just want to go home now and celebrate.” You subtly bit your lip, “Hmm. That sounds nice. Can’t believe I get to go home with a real rock star.” He laughed at the nickname and kissed your lips, muttering an ‘I love you’ under his breath.

so i thought that, the creature he meets at the end of the story is the devil in disguise rather than that the arabian was the "predator" all along, and mb even that the devil in disguise ate his arabian too and thats why it didnt come back anymore

but then i thought what if the real black russian arabian was actually still alive

bc yasmine thinks that his arabian died/was eaten by this creature like all the horses that went missing and thats why it doesnt come back anymore

so when he gives birth to the russian arabian again he views it 100% as the russian arabian from before bc he thinks this creature brought it back to him (with the price of his heart)

but actually if the russian arabian from before is still alive it means it's not the same horse

and basically when he met the og russian arabian he didnt actually get to ride it until the last meeting/s but most of their meetings he just attempted to get close to it but wasn't able to ride it, so yasmine doesn't actually know this horse that well, rather than that he's in love with this horse he's in love with the idea/ideal he projects on it

and the new foal he got rather than the actual russian arabian is a physical creation of his idea of this horse and the ideal that he desires

(and thats also why its a good race horse later on in jorvik bc it got such big heart its unnatural its not 100% like a real horse)

and mb at the end of yasmine's story in general (not just what i wrote i mean like.. after he goes down to jorvik and whatever his overall plot would be) he actually meets the og russian arabian again, so he realizes that all along his current horse wasn't the same horse he fell in love with and he also finds out why was it even there in dino valley in the first place even tho it doesnt make sense bc it wasnt wild and horses are herd animals. bc in his mind it was like a lone wild horse that came out of nowhere just for him (bc he didnt know where it came from) but in reality it actually belonged to someone, mb it kept running away all the time. and if it belongs to someone it already takes away parts of the magic of it bc its like yasmine was cheated on lol or it wasnt a horse just for him

and also i thought of the black horse as his soul horse (like, its aman) and i thought in yasmine's case he basically artificially created his soul horse and the connection one has with their soul horse

but then i thought wait what if yasmine's REAL actual soulhorse was the yakut horse he pushed too hard and essentially killed. and this also needs a definition of what it means to have a "soulhorse", so i think a soulhorse means besides the literal thing of "its a horse u can communicate with and have a magical connection with", what it means for you mentally is that its another being youre in perfect harmony with, thats why the yakut horse was always so calm with him bc even if yasmine was aggressive it understood him and they understood one another, so even though yasmine basically had the "perfect relationship"/healthy positive connection with the soulhorse he chose the black horse (the mania and adrenaline rush and excitment and addiction) over it, when he had the chance to bring it back he chose to bring back aman(black horse) instead

so rather than having the real soulhorse that comes from aideen (bc soul riding etc is from aideen/positive god) he gave it up and got/created an artificial soulhorse that comes from garnok(the devil)

this is a little random but seeing how the contract negotiations for bp members went and that some of them are establishing their individual agencies made me realize something. for bp members, we know that they’ll likely have group endeavors that are few and far between, but we know that in the case of bts that is a risk that hybe cannot take by any means.

we’ve already unpacked a lot of the reasons why hybe was so intentional on providing jk with every possible tool and then some. i think an additional layer to that was likely related to them retaining the rights to the members solo endeavors. even if they failed to keep all of the members in-house for their solo gigs then at least they got to maintain their “biggest asset” which would calm investors’ concerns if any of the members decided to dip in the solo aspect. this also worked as a way to coerce the other members to continue their solo careers with hybe since it was very intentional that when the company is interested in investing in you there are “incredible” results. hence, their absolute lack of effort for any of the other members bc that would prove that the true determinant of success is the company’s full support.

i think manipulation is an inevitable part of any contract negotiation so it seems logical that the company, in order to mantain control over the members, would want to assert dominance/power over them. even if they’re not being manipulated they are in a relatively volatile position right now. all of them are used to a level of success and not many people would give that up for integrity 🥶. i don’t know if any of the other members would or wouldn’t go that route but im sure at least some of them would. i don’t know if i’d blame them either, it’s just business after all.

as we’ve established before, jimin did ruin a lot of their plans to show a stark difference between jk and the rest of the members, so they had to get heavy-handed with the mediaplay and imo they succeeded. jimin had as good a year as jk, new jeans, stray kids, seventeen, all of these kpop acts being super pushed in the media as the “next big thing” but for some reason he’s not getting half the press they are. 🤔

Yea I saw what went down with bp and it’s the best of both worlds for them because I feel like they’ve always been more interested in their solo endeavors than their work as a group. For BTS it’s trickier like you said because even the smallest hint of that something is afoot that would lead to them finding different labels for solo work would be be blown up by the media. Which in turn, cause investors to get skittish. Even that 2 month hiatus they first took back in 2019 had people claiming that they were disbanding and would follow 1D’s foot steps.

The lack of effort in the other members is ,like you said, because they wanted jk specifically to stand out since he’s the canidate those chose to do so. But Hybe’s main goal is to show investors that they can make a star through their resources. Bang even said along the lines of this in an interview because that’s what the music industry abides by at large. Billboard’s most recent rule change after like crazy hit #1 also came about this way because they said fans had too much power and it was the labels job to tell GP what the “next big thing” was gonna be. It’s why you see other kpop groups, even though they’ve possibly made a name for themselves, you still know the company they hail from first because the company is the driving force behind their rise to fame. Hybe wants to be a dominant force in the industry by their own name and not just because they’re known as the label that houses BTS. Still think if they wanted to show this they should’ve started with an up and coming and not a member of bts since that just defeats the purpose and is already showing people your dependent on that member’s pre existing fanbase but whatever.

Bang PD is a bastard, but I don’t think he’s trying to “control” BTS. At least not in the way SM does to his groups. I’m not giving him the benefit the doubt in this scenario, but I still fully believe BTS knows their worth and know that hybe is nothing without them. I’m sure there have been multiple instances where they probably had to compromise (the english trilogy for one) and they’ll probably be more in the future. I do agree with some of them being accustomed to a level of success, but it’s not that it’s because hybe is responsible for it. It’s off their own talent and armys backing them. So I doubt in the case if one of them was given an ultimatum of loosing that artistic integrity or going the route jk has (if offered) they’d get shelved, cause hybe still needs them. I know there’s always the possibility of that happening though. It’d be real annoying but I don’t think I’d be as irritated as I was with jk because I’ve seen and know what they’re capable of on their own. In contrast to jk where he just threw in the towel without trying (which is where 60% of my frustration at him comes from). As long as it’s still their print of music quality with their work ethic behind it. I could deal.

Jimin’s not getting as much press as those groups and jk, because hybe has made it so on their end. lol. That’s the entire act of suppression. They gave jimin the barest amount of congrats after FACE era as to not seem completely neglectful, but beyond that they didn’t go out their way to give him his flowers. So it’s not that the mediaplay was successful, hybe is just doing their best to ensure jk is the only one who’s talked about. But even that isn’t working because Jimin’s just too much of a talk point. You see these people on twitter with blue ticks constantly mention him for engagement money and whatever move he makes generates interest because he’s just a natural draw. Literally the worst member for hybe to try that tactic on tbh lmao.

Shikako: “oh 😳” will see it and quietly look through it admiring all of the drawings you’ve done. She can’t believe how beautiful you draw. Until you tap on her shoulder and she immediately drops the book and promises she didn’t see too much! She has to go now goodbye!!!

Inoru: absolutely loves it, will find you immediately and ask you all about it. Will also act cocky, like “of course you’d wanna draw me 😌” on the inside though he’s like “I can’t believe they drew me 🥹”

Mokoto: is direct and to the point, “you draw so well… thank you… for drawing me. I like it” they won’t meet your eyes but you can see a small smile on their face 🥰 also likes to draw in their free time and offers to show you some of theirs to be fair

Ryoku: flips through it while thinking “so this is how they see me?” Trying his best to keep his cool. When you come to retrieve the sketchbook he mutters a “thanks.” He doesn’t know how to react and internally smacks himself for not knowing how to tell you how he really feels. (He’s very flattered lol)

Kougetsu: “WOAH THATS SO COOL! ITS ME!!!” You have to pry the sketchbook from their hands bc they legit think it’s so cool you drew them they want to keep it forever. Will only let you have it back if you promise to draw one for them to actually keep. Will carry said drawing around at all times.. next time they see you they ask you do draw a self portrait for them to keep too 😏

oh my god i played through both endings of astarions companion quest and spoilers below - it's really just an extremely long ramble

btw i just mean the finale of his quest, not the ending after the whole game

BOTH ARE SO DEVASTATING AND IM OBSESSED WITH BOTH OPTIONS

i rly like to play like im rping my tavs personality so that'll influence the end i go with on other playthroughs but woof

i love that larian gave us the one consequence that might make the power of ascension not worth it... fundamentally changing how astarion relates to and treats us. i REALLY thought id be chill with this option bc i love a power hungry man & my tav would die for him, but it hit SO much harder than i thought it would. maybe also because it was 2 am. but like im obsessed with the difference because of course it changes him—the man emotionally devastated by seeing his past victims deciding to condemn them all, and 6,000 other souls, for the allure of power and safety? and then reaching that unlimited power?

on one hand, seeing him lose that mix wariness & fondness & softness & bravado was GUTTING but also its very sweet that despite basically ascending to vampire godhood, he so badly wants to keep you around. even if, at the moment, he is still wrapping his head around his power and doesn't really see you as an equal lover anymore, vs. an item arguably at the top of things he wants

the lines where he stays hes toootally joking about calling you a pet and that you'll be too obedient for him to need to compel you, and his desire to keep you as a thrall & not give you agency... those are the lines that really killed me and sold the idea that our relationship was fundamentally altered. the "i love you... is what you want to hear, isnt it?" is also brutal, but astarions almost verbatim said that before lmao so i dont mind it as much, hes just silly

the break up options were really satisfying tho ngl and i love that theres two routes where you apologize for even bringing it up and you stay together, when in the past he'd act shocked if you ever chose to be with him

this ending also REALLY made me want to write a self insert (tav insert) fix it fic where you dump him for being a condescending asshole and after a long period of time and yk pining and mourning on your part, astarions going to finally decide maybe he does want a lover with agency and have like this nice slow burn of his personality resurfacing through all that power

like the vampire ascendant astarion rly felt like it was just like 900 tons of power smooshed into an astarion skin suit, and i love the idea that he would find his way back to himself eventually (but maybe after losing you... so sad... maybe he will come back and do the worst approximation of begging youve ever seen...)

anyway for the other ending, i mean. if youve gotten there you know what i mean. its lovely and bittersweet bc consequences and i think larian went a little too hard on selling us that this was the "good" outcome. however. i dont actually care because i played through it after the former version and WOW it was like the most relieving thing ever? to see him acting like himself again, and also very sweet to see how he relates to us afterwards. really up in my feels about how much he trusts us and also relied on us in that moment to remind him of his priorities. as he both he and us were perfectly aware he is exactly the type of personality to be absolutely corrupted by absolute power lmao (which is cute of him)

i thought it was also very interesting that in that moment you persuade him, he approves—like even in the heat of the moment, he didnt truly want to forget everything he cared about outside of safety and power. i didnt get an approval notif for him when i helped him go through with it, but it could just be bugged lol. anyway i rly love that that moment shows so clearly how ascending is a decision driven by fear and hunger for power, not by considering what he wants out of life

anyway my unfiltered thoughts:

we know a great deal about astarions wants and fears and desires from his story

- he desires freedom more than anything

- but that's not ALL he desires. it's freedom in abstract, but also freedom to be himself and to have a sense of who he even is in the first place. he know he deeply mourns losing touch with who he was when he was alive

- he fears being controlled by others, but has also never shown desire to control others in return

- he wants real intimacy & partnership and was afraid he couldn't figure out how to do it, how to relate to any of it without being coerced

because of all this, i do think the ascended vampire is more tragic for him. as an individual, he is happier, but as astarion, the person we've been getting to know—his new life doesn't meet his needs any better than the non-ascended version does. he'll talk about being free, but all he wants to do is... subjugate the world? control everyone and everything around him? like since when?

what really stood out to me is this man who LOVED the sun, missed it in the underdark, was amazed by seeing baldurs gate in light, he wants to cover everything in darkness. for his thralls he supposedly cares for (after sacrificing 7,000 of them for this power)

imo he gained a lack of fear and he gained safety, but the other things he wanted he didnt rly get, which i have more thoughts on than i really want to write here

umascended, he is still free, maybe less safe but that safety is in his control now, at least. and he probably could still swing a castle and an eternal lover if he wanted (did he even become a full vampire? i feel like he must have somewhere along the way) ngl.

anyway to sum it up, i love him so much both directions and will follow him around forever like a puppy regardless of what path he takes

tf2 mercs and the smokes i think they would pick up from a gas station. source: i work at a gas station

reasonings below the cut:

scout: i chose newport red shorts for him because i feel like he would think menthol is for losers. newports to me are a very. basic cigarette. the layman's cig. i also find newports, especially red newports to be a little nasty lol. also i dont see him as much of a cigarette smoker but i do think he smokes every once in a while, esp if hes really stressed out or had a bad match. his 1 box will last him a few months. after a while i think he would switch to newport gold shorts, as theyre lighter.

soldier: i know theres a lot of art of soldier smoking cigars, esp blue soldier. while i don't disagree with that notion, i dont think hes coming into a convenience store and picking up a pack of cigarillos. i went with lucky strike red shorts because theyre an All American cigarette and have been around forever. theyre on the cheaper side as well and he smokes them in Emesis Blue. i didn't go with american spirits because theyre advertised as an "organic" cigarette, and i feel that he would find that to be pretentious and an overall turn off. also american spirits are more expensive.

pyro: i dont think pyro is a tobacco smoker. if the pyro is smoking anything its going to be weed wrapped in a banana backwoods. banana is one of the more strange flavors backwoods has, and i feel like they would go for something on the fruitier side. i also chose backwoods because backwoods fucking rule and the shits look like twigs bc theyre full leaf wraps. i also feel like they would choose banana because none of the other mercs would want to smoke that.

demo: with demo it was more a process of elimination than anything. i dont think he's a cigarette smoker. so i went with a cigarillo because i can so very clearly see him smoking one. i don't think he would go for swishers as a lot of them are fruity, and that doesn't seem up demo's alley. i went with white owl sweets because theyre simple and straight forward, and i feel he would like a pack of sweets. to be honest, im a little shaky on this one, but i don't think anything else would suit him besides like. game greens. to be fair, i don't think he smokes much, and would probably go for something higher quality and hand wrapped if he was smoking a cigar. overall he would get these if he needed something quick and cheap.

heavy: idk about other stores but my store has 1 million dorals and nobody is buying them except for maybe one person every 6 months. heavy is that person. if heavy is smoking anything he's smoking light 100s because i can't see him smoking or liking a rich or full flavor cigarette. also dude is big so he's not getting shorts because they're too small and will be gone in two seconds. these smokes are a mystery to me; i have no idea of the quality or price range. but in my mind i can see him coming up to my counter, asking for these, and leaving without a word.

engie: i almost went with marlboro southern cut for this guy but it felt too on the nose, even if i think he would enjoy the smoke of those. i went with honey bourbon backwoods instead. the flavor seems right up his alley, and i can clearly see him asking for these at a convenience store. as to what he does with them... i can see him smoking them as they come in the package, or using them as a wrap. overall engie looks like he drinks good whiskey, and these cigars look like good whiskey. well... bourbon.

medic: i had a hard time deciding what medic would smoke and went thru all the brands i know of. at first i discounted marlboro because of how commonly bought they are, figuring he would smoke something weirder. but when i came back to it i had figured he would enjoy menthols, and i landed on marlboro menthol blue 100s. he wouldn't go for full flavor, as they would irritate his throat. i feel like smoking these shits would be like sipping cold water after having mint gum. i mean, they're described as "smooth" and "cool." medic is smoking basically spearmint and cold water, but not enough to the point of where he's buying a pack of marlboro ice and its variants of gum package looking cigs.

sniper: i chose cheyenne menthols for him because to me sniper looks like he loves old school shit. the youngest person i have seen come in and buy these has been maybe 40. i don't think he would go for a basic cigarette. cheyennes are box cigars, and a box of these goes for under $3, and typically have more tobacco in them. i feel as if he would enjoy that as well as menthol full flavor, and the smokes themselves are brown instead of white. i can see him smoking a brown looking cigarette so clearly. also the packaging has an outdoorsy look to it lol. basically, i just Know he would go for these. if he was going to go for anything else, he might smoke camel menthol wides. he would also pick up zig zag unbleached cones for his joints.

spy: look we all know spy is smoking that hoity-toity imported french bullshit but if for whatever reason he had to pick up a pack a cigs from a mobil or something it would be parliament blue 100s. i already think he smokes 100s in general, and would go for parliaments because theyre expensive. where im from they sell for like $13 a pack and its always dudes in suits and/or gold chains asking for these things. the packaging isn't an issue here as spy keeps them in a case, but i don't feel like he would turn up his nose at it. overall these are his best option for a gas station cig.

Quest & Lucario- there really wasn’t a better pick in my mind for our emotionally intelligent, tough, blue-coded, dog-loving love interest than a blue dog that can shatter boulders with its fists of steel and read the auras of living beings. And bc lucario can read its trainer’s emotions i think it’d be a good therapy dog for quest! I personally like think that quest would’ve found lucario as a little rilou like how he finds the puppy in the game’s good end extra for him.

NakedToaster & Totodile- so i picked shiny totodile bc it’s green little reptile just like a certain cryptid green lizard mascot in bloomic LOL… but i also oddly i think they’d have a cute dynamic together?? Chill toaster would take great care of their excitable little chompy gremlin 🥺 and let them play games on their phone like in this pkemon movie screenshot 😭

BUT! I also want to mention another headcanon that before Toaster had totodile, he had a Porygon-Z that disappeared and learned how to talk. This talking porygon-z being Bloombot 👍

xyx & Alolan Meowth- obviously i had to pick a cat pokemon as a stand in for xyx’s actual cat. I chose alolan meowth specifically bc the pokedex mentions these meowths being especially cunning and intelligent, and i’d like to think these two would affectionately try to pull pranks and one-up each other constantly. But they love each first and foremost!! And if those two smarmy assholes ever decide to team up pull a prank on someone else, god save that poor soul LMAO

Nightowl & Sylveon- i’d like to think nightowl had an eevee since childhood! Eevee also evolves into sylveon with high friendship/affection and i think nightowl would certainly be able to do that LOL although having such a girly looking pokemon would probably rly piss his mom off and would probably threaten to take it away from him 😢 but i think he would manage to keep it safe and bring it to college with him. The pokedex also mentions that sylveon’s ribbon feelers emit a calming aura and so it would be a rly great emotional support pokemon for poor nightowl 💖🥺

June & Politoed- cute frog girl gets cute frog pokemon EASY. but yea there are a few frog-like pokemon to choose from but i ultimately choose politoed bc the simple water typing and cute design felt the best for June 👍 i did briefly consider Bellibolt but i felt the electric sub-typing didn’t suit her 🤔 i’d definitely pick it if i was choosing full teams than one partner tho

Two2 & Yamper- i vaguely remember it being mentioned that Two has a little dog like in their pfp! And pokemon has a lot of dog pokemon to choose from 😅 but i ultimately picked yamper bc i like the idea of anxious and skittish Two with a very friendly and zippy little dog! Yamper never fails to cheer up Two 🥹 also i personally think the electric typing suits Two as well

BigLady & Tsareena- two boss queens being boss queens together 👏👑 i think Lady would have gotten tsareena as a little bounsweet not thinking too much about it and be pleasantly surprised as it evolved! Tsareena has a grass/fighting typing and stomps the shit out of things with its powerful legs, so i think it suits our beautiful and strong Lady 💖💪

Salocin & Nidoking- i personally think Salo and his late wife would be one of those double battle couples with their matching Nidoking and Nidoqueen respectively! After his wife passes tho he’d keep nidoqueen since it’s also his nidoking’s partner 🥺 i also think nidoking’s ground typing fits salo pretty nicely. Another headcanon i have is that his new partner Mara would have a cute normal type pokemon like a minccino!

Onionthief & Venusaur- i originally was going to have a just a bulbasaur as onion’s partner bc it’s more onion-shaped, but i ultimately decided that onion would be the type to fully evolve his pokemon. He’d definitely have his venusaur since it was a wee little bulbasaur tho, they are lifelong partners! Venusaur would definitely help take care of onion’s siblings, and play with them by letting them climb all over it and picking them up with its vine whip 😭

Ok so like I just read the newest chapter of iwsily and. Ok obvs it was incredible and amazing writing and I adored it but like!!!

Like yes I do see Evan’s side and I get that as his friends, they want to protect him and all that but like! God I feel so bad for Barty rn. Like he’s losing his best friend, every single one of his friends is acting like he’s not good enough for Evan, and then even regulus is too. And that must hurt so bad for Barty bc obv he has trust issues and like probably his friends are like his family now that his mom is dead but like now his friends are turning on him too? And he can’t even talk to his best friend about grieving his mom’s death?

God and the end of the ch 😭 it’s like I’m sure Barty must have been so hurt when he put himself through sleeping with his best friend (reg) that he def KNEW was in love with someone else but that he liked too much to NOT sleep with. And then obv reg chose James and I’m sure Barty knew that would happen but he was probably just trying so hard to be delulu and then reg didn’t chose him and he probably has issues from that 😭 is that why his relationships don’t last or is that his family trauma and then now for Evan to reject him and chose some other guy he doesn’t even know?? Like damn that’s a blow. And the cherry on top is the shit Reg said to him. Not that Barty WASNT being an asshole but like. Come on.

Obv for evan, his relationship w Barty weighs heavily on his self esteem, ED, and mental health so it makes sense that his friends want to protect him and the potentially toxic relationship he and Barty have. It makes sense and I’m glad they’re supporting Evan but like. Can Barty have a shoulder to cry on too 😭

at this point Alex not being married/having kids seems like an intentional Choice to not follow the prescribed path and it's so fascinating but we can't ever really know more about it bc its a crazy invasive thing for an interviewer to ask (not that he'd answer but still)

i never went looking for it again bc it just made me cringe so much but i'm 100% sure there was an interview from 2018 (like, if someone has this interview you're more than welcome to send it to me and i will share it bc more than anything i'm committed to the truth. i just haven't snooped hard for it bc like i said, the whole thing gave me secondhand embarrassment and i know that if i find it i will read it again bc i'm me lol and i don't wanna feel it again mvfmgkbmg) where the interviewer did ask if he wanted to start a family and he answered (would you look at that) that he "wasn't ready for the responsibility".

and like i feel like in 2018 that answer said everything. he's been hopping from committed relationships to committed relationships since stepping into the limelight and i find his candidness really surprising (always do lol) but truly any other answer would just stand out so much as a lie bc it's so obvious that at the time (we'll get to that) that was the case. he'd been dating taylor for over 3 years at that point, living together for almost as long, they had fucking matching tattoos, and he still didn't feel ready to fully commit. like, he never did. that's been his stance since always. that's one of the reasons he's a serial monogamist, if i may say so. he craves the stability but never wants to commit all the way.

and like, of course. they broke up. which has always happened and looks like it always will tbh. i don't wanna comment too much on louise bc that's always a headache but just overall you know. she hasn't moved in like the other gfs did within months, he doesn't let her post him, doesn't take her to events (barely attends them himself anymore tbf), doesn't take her on tour as much as the others, etc. all the while seeing the guys getting married (and divorced but then again, married again) and having children, etc. and where is he? tucked away reading books, watching films, listening to and writing music. like. oof okay i don't have a point. but you know. you know.

I feel like there’s a lot of potential for merbitties. You could shove them in an unethically small enclosement like a cup or a narrow glass, perhaps filled with dirty water, and see the thing barely manage to move, unable to escape from your hands bc they dont have legs and they dust if they stay out of water for too long.

Ohhh, you could shove one in a water bottle filled with glitter and sequins and shake it around, make one of those “sensory jars” and see the poor merbitty trying to steady itself in the moving water but failing, being shaken around helplessly, hitting its skull with the insides of the bottle, maybe see it choke on a sequin or two.

Adopt one from the bitty aquarium and keep making promises to give it a nice and spacious water tank but once both of you arrive to your home, you drop him on a dirty toilet lol.

Punish a bratty merbitty by taking him out of the water and see it scream and beg for you to put him back bc he can’t breathe but its too late for him, you’ve already decided you’ll leave him to die and choke just mere inches away from its tank for being a brat.

Maybe they could be used as food for certain animals in zoos and aquariums! Nothing like fresh merbitty for a hungry sea lion!

Hmmm, i wonder if one could be used for different dishes the same way actual fish is used? Maybe, due to how hard it is to keep them from dusting once cooked, they are considered rare and expensive dishes and fancy restaurants have a bunch of water tanks in the dining area where clients can pick and chose the specific merbitty they want in their dish. Itd be specially fun if the bitties have no clue that they’re gonna be cooked alive so they believe they’re being chosen to be adopted lol.

It's been a while since I've posted anything big on here BUT I made a concept for Mei's Mythic skin that I am OBSESSED with. The theme I chose is "Holiday Village", and I made Mei a "Towne Baker" skin and a background for it (if you don't wanna see Christmas themed stuff in September yet I suggest keep scrolling lol):

There exists a village where snow falls and golden lights hang year round, a village where the warm hearts of its occupants brighten the frigid nights. The Baker makes her rounds daily, creating a seemingly infinite amount of sweet treats for all her friends. With her special companion by her side, she works endlessly to make and deliver the best desserts and baked goods to all within the village.

Here's the specifics and customizable options too (some of these aren't set in stone yet):

Hair: I was completely obsessed with braids for this, they just fit the holiday vibe too much imo. I also do think her glasses would change but i forgot to draw them so ill just say them here. Her hairstyles are as follows:

Two braids on each side and hair pulled into a ponytail with a bow + full moon glasses

Simple bun wrapped with a braid & bell hairpin (didn't draw the pin bc I only just remembered it) + half rim glasses

Half-up-half-down hairdo with braid pulled back & earmuffs + think rectangle glasses

Shawl:

Fuzzy neck short cloak with strings & cotton balls at the end

Similar to option 1 but instead of fuzzy, it's a bit more refined w/o the strings and has a button clasp in front

Not a shawl at all, but rather a cozy, long scarf

Weapons: These aren't set in stone, especially not the 2nd option (and obviously Snowball counts bc if we can't customize him, imma be so upset)

Gun: Piping bag gun that'll probably change to a more 'gun' style, and Snowball: Muffin Snowball, obviously a baker needs her baked treats!

Gun: I tried incorporating the style of a hand mixer, I like the concept but want to change it. And it's hard to see well, but Snowball: Literal display tray with a glass cover! How that would work with his face, I have no clue, but he'd have a cake or cupcakes inside that you could see.

Colors: Finally we got colors. The only consistent outfit colors for her would be the white fuzz (and maybe her sweater?).

Red for main, light brown for accent (i.e.: Corset & gloves), and brown for hair (so just normal hair here) + gold details for metal

I switched the accent and main colors, so light blue for main, teal for accent, and white for hair. Very much a winter, frozen look. And ignore the "gold", that's meant to be silver.

Dark red main, green (forest green) accents, and black hair with silver metal, fits more with Christmas colors in general.

Finally I'll show you her ice tank, which I think is genius:

It's literally a portable oven with cookies & a giant vat of icing, and an ornament as a charm.

I'll try and draw the actual hair styles or revise the weapons eventually, but this is what I have and I'm very, very proud of it
