gonna say smth about a ballad of songbirds and snakes even though i havent read the book and only saw trailers and listened to the olivia rodrigo song

i had a friend who watched the movie and said "it was good but it wasnt really the hunger games" and yeh sounds about right! from what im getting the prequel is built to be aesthetically completely different from the trilogy. the overarching story is entirely different, its focusing on an actual love story/a sort of relationship bw two characters for the major arch of the film, rather than fit that into a saga about fighting the fascist regime

which is not to say the the prequel is just a simple nd shallow story set in the hunger games' world of atrocities, because the relations bw the two characters are still built with that tension in mind. but it should be just ever so slightly separated from those atrocities, only for you to get hit in the face with them when it inevitably tears the characters apart

and thats why i honestly really love the title - its a ballad, its a strange forgotten story, its something just a little different and unknown in this setting. despite only being a few decades b4 the main plot its still set in an othered tone. something that diverges aesthetically from anything you could expect from the hunger games

especially since its a character we know from the trilogy, especially since its so bizarre to see him young and compassionate and full of emotion. its not impossible, it isnt out of character, not really. its just unthinkable - which only adds to that air of the unlikely story about an unlikely relationship

even lucy gray (whom again i only know from trailers) stands out in a way that she could only be seen as a myth through the lenses of the trilogy - as in, through the standard we, the viewers who know how the country looks in its future, expect to see. but shes unique - her attitude towards the capitol, towards snow himself, is defiant and rebellious in a way we never see from anyone aside from those who eventually knock the capitol down

and again, she stays within its limits - right up to the end. the only spoiler i know is what happens to her at the end of the movie, which is the aforementioned punch in the face of the world and its circumstances - such a character doesnt stay, doesnt get an ending of settling down in the system. without knowing id already guessed she either dies or runs off, because theres isnt another option for an end to this ballad. only smth that would truly pin down the story aesthetically, and let us fill in for ourselves the gap of the next few decades in snow's life

and tbh thats why ive been listening to "cant catch me now" on repeat today. bc its so perfect for this tone, for the notion of a forbidden and lost story, which only serves to add a bit of shadow and context to the cold and heartless character we see in the trilogy. the melody is so gentle and free, really ties up the story of these two characters, the final and bottom-line principle we now know of the betrayal and anger snow carries inside him. no sympathy or pity, just acceptance that although there used to be something good in him, it had long since died. all the same longing and emotion, with understanding for the hurt and the pain under the layers of cruelty

from what i gather the country in the movie is set with technology that is perceived to us as just a little outdated for the trilogy, and same with the fashion. and along with all the callbacks/callforwards to the trilogy it only help to build this story as a magical ballad, myth, legend of this world, something so big yet so delicate and special that set in motion the inevitable uprising decades later. the same spark that we saw light up in the trilogy had started burning here. absolutely magical

honestly im interested to hear if i got any of this right. and also do you guys recommend the movie is it good lmk im considering watching it

What I thought the prequels were gonna be based on when I was watching Episode IV to VI

there are/were several wars involving clones from both sides & the Jedi were involved as special fighters or something, like Ninja or Samurai or maybe command officers sometimes but others just roam the lands adventuring and helping people; some Jedi can go into the army- everyone is significantly older, like in their thirties/forties- Vader is rising through the ranks during the war & busy fighting battles at one front. As it's wartime, communication with back home is fraught & he rarely gets updates from his wife. He pushes the war forwards & helps escalate the conflict bc the war is his chance for glory and promotions - through the escalation, enemy forces increasingly attack civilians, the situation everywhere gets worse & less stable- due to reasons, the mum has to flee, sending a message to her husband that takes months to reach him, the situation developed unexpectedly, maybe she has to flee from assassins, maybe enemy forces occupy where she lives & they look specifically for her, maybe she's part of a marginalized group, idk but it comes back to Vader's involvement in the war making her a target and/or maybe she's important herself (noblewoman or smth idk, but the enemy either wants her or wants her dead)- at this point she doesn't know she's pregnant (which is why Vader doesn't know there was a kid)- she has to go undercover & can't send messages for her own safety, is at first with allies who protect her - that goes wrong too, the enemy/war reaches that enclave as well and she has to flee again, this time on her own - meanwhile Anakin gets more and more corrupted by the war. I imagined him a lot like Dooku actually, serious, idealistic at first, for the greater good, very by the book, kind of a control freak, honorable but very rigid; as the war drags on, he develops a hatred for the opposing side, becomes more and more jaded, more and more cruel because it seems like a necessity, but keeps up his behavior with his friends because he can't bear to have them think worse of him- he and Obi-Wan are on different fronts, Obi-Wan the experienced, skilled strategist while Anakin is his younger, less experienced but equally brilliant former student, both of them are the best at what they do & the republic can't afford to put them in the same place- they talk strategy to coordinate as required, but there are long stretches where the only things they hear from each other are the strategic news about gain or loss of territory - Anakin grows both more confident and more jaded from his victories, his glory and success gets to him; having unchecked power over occupied territories also does bad things to someone's character usually- the bad guy covets him and feeds both his ego and his ambition to rise in the ranks, flatters him and paints a picture of power and respect and riches and glory, an Empire with Anakin as the right hand of the Emperor, second only to one; of the war having ended not the least because of his contributions, new territories conquered in the war, you know, all that- Anakin lets himself be swayed

he isn't naive, he just decides that a system he controls a good chunk of directly has better odds of being what he wants it to be than a democracy, and accepts having an Emperor for that is a fair trade (he's been in the military for so long, having a superior is second nature to him)

with the war still raging, the unnamed mom lives past the childbirth and faces the odds of having to raise two babies on her own in the middle of nowhere, somewhere the war won't touch, while whatever was trying to kill her is still after her. She shook them off for a while, but they are still out there somewhere and she can't stay still for long enough to risk for them to find her and the kids- probably she found shelter with her husband's family (Owen and/or Beru's branch) who he never talks about bc he's a success story of leaving his humble beginnings behind him to fit better into high society- here she also learns more about her husband, his backstory of making it to the Jedi, training hard etc and never looking back- she also learns for the first time that the people in the fringe territories have a very different picture of her husband than her elite social circle; she hears about war crimes & how newly conquered territories are treated & is kinda like hmm whoops? It's all very awkward bc she's the wife of the wayward son who made it big and then never bothered to visit, but at least it's a brief visit - she doesn't want to endanger them- the kids are, again, split up for safety concerns - she doesn't want to keep both with her in case she's caught, she can't leave both in case her hunters realize she left them somewhere and try to use the kids to lure her out; she's maximizing their combined survival odds

With a bleeding heart, unnamed mum leaves one of her kids (Luke) at the Lars family's home, with them promising to take care of him until she can retrieve him but also very aware it's wartime and she may very well never be able to return, or at least not before the kid is grown- She takes the other kid with her & flees further, never staying in one place for long, always on the run from the consequences of the war which are everywhere, shifting borders and increasingly restricted travel near the borders, passport controls etc

it's all for nothing bc the others get closer and closer

desperately, she finally makes it to Alderaan, which is kinda like space switzerland but smaller & not that significant (the way the Empire treats it in EIV seemed to suggest that), influental enough to be able to keep her safe but low profile enough that a guest at court won't draw attention; she asks for asylum but since they are peaceful, they rely on the rest of the stationed guards & can't keep her safe really well

Leia is about two at this point, maybe old enough to retain memories

Padmé drops the kid off w/ the Queen, who may or may not be an old friend of hers or a mentor or something and doesn't have kids of her own

the war is drawing to a close, she has managed it back into territory that isn't the middle of nowhere, the front is nearing Alderaan but it's her husband's front, her hope at this point is that she can lure her kidnappers after her without them realizing she dropped Leia somewhere (the only child they know of) and making it to her husband, who will help her set an ambush and kill all of them or at least send her someone else safe, a bunker or something, until the war is over, and send some of his (jedi?) subordinates (who can, unlike unnamed civilian mum, fight and travel without restrictions) to go get the kids

Anakin knows the area she was in is occupied now; those news reached him extremely late though since the galaxy is HUGE and wartime communications esp to soldiers are shit, and hasn't heard from her since, which is worrying

he has ppl look for her but he can't abandon his post w/o ruining the war (& his spy network has better chances of finding her than him alone, him leaving would endanger her more as his part of the front would crumble)

and she tries to make it to him!!

and she doesn't make it

and on the way there, her hit squad gets her. She makes a last stand when she realizes she has nowhere left to run

and she's gonna at least take down as many of them down with her as possible

and

well.

Vader ends the war, turning on the Jedi and unifying both sides of the war into the empire, cleaning house, genociding etc.

he finds out about her after the war ends. There is noone left alive who he could ask about children.

look... theres *gojo girlies* uwu and then theres GOJO GIRLIES... i couldn't give 2 shits about how he's fan-serviced (tho im not complaining) but have you SEEN the amount of grief pumped into that man? he could explode in a fit of fucking insanity at literally any moment and take the whole goddamn world down with him bc what happened with suguru WASNT FAIR to him and satoru has more than enough power to go apeshit... but he DOESN'T... even after losing so many of his co-sorcerers... he still puts on a brave face to the end in order to protect the childhood of his students even tho his own youth was stolen from him during hidden inventory...

10. Levi Ackerman (Attack on Titan)

i read the manga during my last year of uni and when i tell you i SOBBED at the end... yes ofc for obvious reasons, but mostly bc my little Levi loses EVERYTHING. He is the SOLE survivor of the veteran scouts. He's missing multiple fingers, an eye, and the ability to walk. He was the strongest (yowaimo) but wasn't even granted the mercy to die at the end of his narrative! Broke my fucking heart.

‼️OK DISCLAIMER I WROTE A LOT‼️

ive technically been into halo since i was a little kid. my first experience with it was my older cousins playing halo 2 multiplayer and handing me a controller to terrorize me (they did this with black ops 2 also). that jumpstarted me being captivated by halo. i was really into how the spartans looked i was like. woaaah these dudes are awesome. which is a no brainer bc i also thought clone troopers were awesome as a little kid too (they still are. i love star wars prequels and i really like halo a lot).

anyway. i really think the expanded canon of halo is interesting! theres a lot of stuff to pick through and a lottttt of lore. theres like over 30 books for these games. im only like a chapter into the first one (which its really good so far. im really into fall of reach). the gameplay isnt really anything to write home about to me, but im not a huge fan of shooters in general. i like the COD campaign stories, hate watching the missions. same for Halo. i loveeee the arbiter sections in Halo 2 though. his HUD is purple and you can go stealth mode :)

the story for the original 3 games is really good! and reach and odst are also very good. theyre all solid games. really good dialogue, master chief is short and blunt, cortana is a kind of funny/witty nag, johnson is so so funny. AND MIRANDA. REALLY AWESOME I LIKE HER A LOT. i love 343 guilty spark hes also very funny, a little blue cuck ball type beast. and i love the arbiter hes awesome. verbose and honorful i love him. the graveminds dialogue in 2&3 is just like aaaaaah its so awesome really clever and powerful stuff. the games themselves are also super beautiful, the art direction and sound design are so so good and really make the games come together beautifully.

i think a good place to start would just be to look up a longplay of halo, or maybe an overview video/series of the story. obviously i havent played the games first hand, my beautiful wife is doing all the playing because i dont think i would be able to do that myself.

anyway i really like halo and i love master chief and the arbiter. i want to put master chief in my pocket and let him take a nap while i go to panera bread with thel 'vadam.

ive been posting about flowers in the attic: the origin. its a prequel miniseries. having watched or read the first flowers in the attic is really the only "homework" you need to do before watching it. its about Chris and Cathy's grandparents, Olivia and Malcolm, and also Corrine's (Chris and Cathy's mom) childhood and how she fell in love with her half-uncle/half-brother, Christopher. there is incest in the show!! malcolm is psychosexually obsessed with his dead mother, sexually assaults his step mother, and has incestuous feelings for his daughter, Corrine. we also see Corrine and Christopher get together too. so LOTS of incest really. its not perfect but i highly recommend it bc its a lot of fun. malcolm foxworth has become a huge blorbo to me. he did nothing wrong <3

(before and after getting dumped + watching his friend drown + becoming a single father)

he’s so wildly dog coded. he’s the ghost of a rabbit. he’s the single father of two teenagers age 22. he got dumped when he was 19 and never got over it. he’s an autistic freak. he can’t drive. he got skinned alive and we just kind of forgot about it. I made a music video and a teaser trailer for it about him.

He’s one of a couple of prequel characters to the sleepaway campaign my friends and I never actually wound up playing last year!

He’s lived at the camp since he was 18 and ran away from home on his birthday to work there, he’s got a cabin just off the grounds and odd jobs he splits with the other off-season caretaker Laertes, who’s another former camper in a similar situation but with his younger sibling Chandra to take care of and put through boarding school. They’re besties. Laertes my beloved. He sees death omens. (@wildfandom open invitation to come talk about your boy)

Unfortunately, the next summer, a (the) Hitchhiker comes into camp, and he fell for him Fast And Hard because he’s nothing if not gay and stupid. Hitchhiker is obviously INCREDIBLY sus, but he asks Horatio to run away with him at the end of the summer and. ofc. he agrees. So when the day comes he packs up all his effects and goes to wait at the spot on the highway where the Hitchhiker had said he was gonna pick him up. And he waits. And he waits. And he waits. And he waits. And the Hitchhiker never shows.

So he just kind of never gets over that and is so fucked up about it that he doesn’t really leave the camp at all for the rest of his life 😬😬😬

Anyway from there the supernatural bull shitt situation at camp just keeps getting worse— eventually culminating in an eclipse and a storm, when Laertes rushes out to bring back one of the campers who’d wandered off into the woods, manages to deposit him in his and Chandra’s cabin, and when he goes back out in search of any other campers, he’s surrounded by the wolves of the woods— they with too many eyes and shadows too long— and eventually goes to take refuge the only place they can’t follow him, dragging a rowboat down the beach into the lake and paddling out as far as he can against the waves. (There’s a couple other things going on but that’s playbook details mostly)

And while all this is happening, Horatio does a headcount of all the campers still inside, and it’s one short. Chandra is unaccounted for, and Laertes is still outside. So ofc he goes out to look for them, and finds Chandra at the edge of a clearing overlooking the lake just in time for him to hold them back from jumping in after as they both watch Laertes’s rowboat capsize and him fall beneath the waves. And the storm clears.

And after that Horatio takes over looking after Chandra, he sets up the loft for them and they move into his cabin. They trawl the lake, but they don’t find Laertes.

They make it work. He teaches them how to ride a horse 😌

Eventually Chandra finds the kid Laertes had gone out to bring back just kind of wandering in the woods again so they bring him home and then Horatio has two kids!! :)

And then after that the supernatural shit starts to get worse again and Horatio knows the Lindworm is gonna make its move, so he starts getting ready. He teaches Chandra to shoot. He gives Wallace his hunting knife. And as the last high noon sounded, mordred rode his rotten world into the sun etc etc etc

You can’t permanently kill the Lindworm, obviously, but he does enough damage to hold it off for the next ¿10?ish years until our actual campaign timeline, in which Horatio appears as one of the paper thin hares, which is basically the ghost of a rabbit that functions as an occasional guide for our pcs. Also the Lindworm, notable Stranger TMA Ass Bitch, has his skin and very probably would bring that out to puppet around but we never actually played the game so technically that didn’t happen.

Also there’s a post-canon au where after Laertes comes out of the lake he winds up hitching his boat up to the hitchhiker’s motorcycle and they have a Weird Gay Road-trip about it and Hareatio judges them so hard but like. Glass houses.

ive been really wanting to get into metal gear lately and i noticed you draw art for it, do you know where i should start??

HIIII 💙 YES . this is the playlist but Ok so I know it may seem intimidating at first, I thought it was too when I started watching it a few months ago, but it was so easy to get rlly into that It stopped feeling so massive! I watched the first two games (“metal gear” 1 & 2 (not to be confused with metal gear *solid* 1 & 2)) but I don’t think they are a great place to start watching for attention span’s sake. Especially bc everything in them is retconned later on, but the summery IS still important so I’ll put like that for you before you start getting to the starting point under the cut:

MG1: The first Metal Gear game follows Solid Snake, a rookie of the FOXHOUND special operations unit. He is sent by his superior Big Boss to the fortress in South Africa known as Outer Heaven, with the goal of finding the missing squad member Gray Fox and investigating a weapon known as Metal Gear. Big boss was secretly the leader of a terrorist nation state. Big boss was holding nuclear weapons/robots ready to threaten the world with, he wanted to make an independent military nation for soldiers to be free. Snake defeats Big Boss in the last battle and escapes the Outer Heaven compound as it crumbles in flames behind him. After the end credits, a message from Big Boss is displayed saying that he will meet Solid Snake again. (You may think this is confusing since he died in the fires, but it’ll make sense way later LOL)

MG2: Set in 1999, a few years after the events of the original game. Solid Snake must infiltrate a heavily defended territory known as Zanzibar Land to rescue a kidnapped scientist and destroy the revised "Metal Gear D". Snake faces off against Gray Fox in Metal Gear D and eventually destroys the mech. Both men later fight hand-to-hand in a minefield, and Snake finishes him off. (because greyfox had remained loyal to Big Boss.) also Kaz Miller, FOXHOUND’s survival consultant also sided against Big Boss during the Zanzibar Land Disturbance, in favor of Solid Snake (this is just letting u know solid snake and miller were familiar and mutually respecting since he is in mgs1) As you can imagine this entire “i was tricked into helping a nuclear development and had to kill my bro” bummed solid snake out. So by MGS1 (METAL GEAR *SOLID* 1) he is a legendary solider who repeatedly has tried to retire.

Congrats! Now you can start watching, if you’d like to play them most of the games are accessible on the xbox and such but I watched most of them on YouTube. Skip metal gear 1 & 2 (THE FIRST TWO THT DONT HAVE “SOLID” IN THE TITLE) and start from this sequence onward (its already in order on the playlist dw i just wanna diagram it:

Metal Gear Solid -> Metal Gear Solid 2: Sons of Liberty -> Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater (this is a Big Boss centered prequel very important) -> Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots (ends Solid Snake’s Story timeline) -> Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker (continues the prequel story that continues onward from this point) Metal Gear Solid Ground Zeroes (this is a short game demo that sets up the main setting of Phantom Pain. also TW on this one for very detailed torture tactics..) -> METAL Gear Solid: The Phantom Pain (end of series)

they made another game but kojima left the making of MGS Rising which is pretty irrelevant (2 me) but takes place during the Solid snake and co.’s timeline. but I haven’t played it yet/ it’s spotty in canon-ness

i sooo so recommend mgs, it helps if u know whats happening in its real world counterpart (our real world rn) because its a rlly fun game thats all abt how war is a terrible thing in many ways. but its also a game tht doesnt take itself too seriously and thats why i love it sm too, it keeps you smiling and laughing at how crazy all the characters act and how silly some of the situations are. most ppl hate mgs for that reason but i think its such a specific brand of goofy that it makes it an unforgettable experience. for example: solid snake has a rant where he explains bisexual men dont rlly care what a homophobe would think of them. kojima is canon god. big boss believes in santa clause. people are named stuff like deep throat. its insane.

Trust me, the show's version is great, it's more soften and they cut a lot of important and iconic characters from the books, and change a lot of scenarios to make it less gross and less uncomfortable (?) but I don't really mind because it's still enjoyable

House of the Dragon is another good gem, it's a prequel before GoT, you can watch it without watching GoT but you may be a little bit confused about great houses lol and DRAGONS ARE SO BEAUTIFUL

30. Who do they most regret meeting? 

the second i saw 30 was this i said outloud OH FUCK. onehit kill. can't be any answer other than her best friend. they are pair bonded like parrots (Tragic). girl meets boy because her job is going to be listening for response from the gods he's killing himself to communicate with, and her job is going to be watching him die, teaching the next one to die, and the next, until her drowning day finally comes. she met his predecessor in uer end stages of sickness, so she knows how it will look for him. No matter how much she loves him or how many times she can get away with dumping out his ritual cup, he's committed to what he's doing, what he's been raised to do... so yeah, she regrets meeting him. not that she thinks of it as something she chose to do, seeing as it's all divine-vision-scraps that brought her there. but when she still sometimes wishes for another life for them, often she thinks separate lives would have the best chance of peace.

34. How hard is it for them to shake a sense of guilt?

mm. impossible really. survivor's guilt alchemized into rage at who seemed responsible, but it's still there. she feels simultaneously that she doesn't deserve the losses she's suffered, and that she's still here and alive. there's also insanely complex guilt around everything with her partner's slow ritual death and the death of their mentor the same way. the struggle between prolonging the suffering overall versus staving the worst of it off now. (under my breath) the phrase Quality of Life is not part of their lexicon and it shows . whats that hospice by the antlers you say ? something something shiva4shiva? noooo haha whattt

38. What memory do they revisit the most often?

ah jeez. ah fuck. hard to say. technically i suppose memories of her death (past visions of it) but that's not voluntary. unconsciously i think she very often revisits childhood memories of her brother- always has fragments of them floating about without realizing. one of her core unfulfilled needs is that close companionship she lost back then- she's been trying to fill that hole ever since, no matter if she does so on purpose. i'm really trying to think of things she would consciously try to remember and. mostly coming up with 'tonguing the hole in the gum' type things. don't forget the pain of this or you'll stop letting it drive you. (kicks a rock) she's in my personal bouquet of wretched girlies with baru cormorant for a reason...

B) What inspired you to create them?

time honored tradition of fandom au that got out of fucking hand 🫡 haikyuu au with the highschool bestie, we cooked up a big kingdoms+fantasy setting thru like 2016-2018 and then i continued going feral over a handful of characters that lived rent free in my mind for the next. three years ish? before i finally was like ok i should make it official and stop calling these bitches the names of anime characters. For ayirine specifically some of her core traits have been there since the beginning (foresight, dead twin, death by drowning, kills her best friend) but since filing off serial numbers i transed her gender and made her more actively suicidal (its themes. sorry) and REALLY WEIRD re: her religious convictions. also structurally she's become a prequel tragedy / cautionary tale preceding the main chunk of the narrative, which, not that we had a lot of structure before due to being high schoolers just having fun worldbuilding, but her killing her best friend used to be a W for the then-protagonists bc he was the leader of their enemy, et cetera. by now ive wandered entirely away from the adversarial narrative and into the weeds of other stuff i can personally tell a better story about, due to having Many Thoughts Head Full. i like putting together stories that are dioramas of people and their strange selves much more now than i did when i was a #teen and mostly just liked cool settings and shit. now im like if the characters in the setting arent fascinating then well i almost dont care how cool it is.

Texas Chainsaw Massacre is gross but not in a modern horror gorey way?? Idk how to describe it but an unnerving gross instead of a 'I'm gonna throw up I can't look' gross. It's a lot of shots of meat or bones or flies but it more unnerving than gorey. I really do recommend just watching them from 1-4 (1 and 2 are connected but 2 and 3 are not and 2 and 3 aren't connected to 4...Lmfao idk man but 1 connects them all. They're all basically solo movies OR just every Sawyer family member)

2 is my favorite of that franchise its so campy, Stretch was great as a final girl and it has Bill Moseley in it!

Ngl, I’m not really happy about The Winchesters being picked up even though I expected it. Jensen has made it very clear that we’re not his intended audience, so I doubt a lot of us would actually like it. It’s probably just gonna be a newer version of the first three seasons of supernatural but with more women and poc. And I’m sorry but even his attempts at diversifying the cast doesn’t seem genuine to me. I’m definitely not saying it’s a bad thing but it seems like he’s trying to get brownie points or fill some sort of quota.

I pretty much feel the same. Marginalised people getting to see themselves in media is a good thing, so them having a queer guy and a woman of colour in the main cast is a good thing on paper. However a lot of people (including me and you) have the weird feeling that theyre doing this for clout and bc they think marginalised people will take any scraps theyre given.

Ofc we have no way of confirming this suspicion and we may be waaay off base, but i dont get tired of talking about how ive been here for a decade and ive seen jackles be weird around gay shit on spn, the most recent example being the very weird no homoing of the confession by calling it "holier than human love" or something. i dont think hes a straight up homophobe, but you will excuse me for being suspicious of his motives here.

also yeah he literally said people who werent gonna watch the prequel arent real fans, which was OBVIOUSLY a joke, i get it, but idk what hes expecting when he makes a prequel about john winch.

i think jackles is a lot more fandom savvy than he lets on, he definitely knows that the destiel/gay/not straight white american part of the fandom doesnt like john, so specifically the inclusion of a bi man and a brown woman feels like hes trying to bait that part of the fandom into watching the prequel anyways and it just sucks that we have reason to feel like our identities are deliberately being used to increase viewership.

if he wants to make a little show about john fucking winch and rewrite him into a better person than he canonically was, i cant stop him, but i see very very little chance of me paying any attention to this show once it airs and if that makes me "not a real fan". uh. idc lmao.

and what i find a bit annoying is people trying to guilt trip others who say they wont watch it bc "if this show fails jackles might not get to make other, better spn related shows". im glad you still havent given up hope, but im not waiting for jackles to come up with a stellar spn spinoff or a destiel show or whatever when his first and best idea for a spn related show was "prequel about two characters we literally already know everything about, one of which is hated by a big part of the fandom". I hope the actors can use this to jumpstart their careers, but other than that this can get cancelled after one season for all i care...
