Young talent, Viola Prettejohn (Photo: Aaron Crossman/Variety), “will join the cast to play the younger Elizabeth, when still a princess, during World War II, before her coronation in 1953.” (Deadline)
According to Whats-on-Netflix [Photo], “Prettejohn had a small cameo role in Netflix’s The Witcher as fake Ciri and has recently appeared in a dozen episodes of the HBO series The Nevers playing Myrtle.”
Clare Foy starred in the first two seasons of 'The Crown.', and have returned for flashback scenes in season 4 and 5. In addition, Claire and Olivia Colman will return for special scenes in season 6 as a tribute to the late Queen. Meanwhile, Imelda Staunton continues to play Queen Elizabeth II in this final season.
*Claire won the lead drama actress Emmy in 2018 for her role of Queen Elizabeth II in The Crown season 2. She also won another Emmy for outstanding guest actress for her cameo in The Crown season 4 in 2021.
