Finding Love Katakuri x Reader Part 16

"Ch… CHARLOTTE?"

Nami gasped shocked while hugging Chopper's life out of his body. The atmosphere got heavy, while a furious big mom rumbled outside and attacked the castle over and over again. It didn't disturb at all. Only Bege, who was offering his body for the others. He was coughing and gasping in pain once in awhile.

"What's the matter. Is there a problem with her name?", Luffy asked clueless and watched his crew praying and crying that it's over now.

"Are you stupid?! (Y/N) ~swaaan is an enemy! She is part of Charlotte Lilin's alias Big mom crew!!!!", Sanji shouted pissed, while tears of frustration rolled down his face.

"Oh", was all what their captain said and let the others shout at him in anger.

(Y/N) avoid their gazes uneasy and didn't know what to do. Would they hurt her now? Or torture her for information? Feeling tears at the corner of her eyes (Y/N) was shaken slightly of fear to get hurt again, but a hand taking hers let her look down and into the sweet face of Chopper.

"Luffy she would never hurt us. I..just know. I can't believe that she is one of them.", Chopper spoke and got a small smile from (Y/N).

A woman with a small baby in her hands stepped to Luffy's side. "But it's true Chopper. This woman belongs to the Charlotte's. To be exact to Katakuri Charlotte 's side.", the woman spoke seriously. The others looked at (Y/N) shocked, while she gave them an uneasy nod.

"I wasn't able to attend your special day. You see my mother and I aren't on good terms. My name is Chiffon. I am one of Katakuri's sisters.", she spoke kindly and (Y/N) could feel in the way she looked at her, how she felt sorry for her to be in this family.

"Don't worry about it. Nice to meet you. I am (Y/N) Charlotte. Katakuri's wife.", she spoke happily with this bright smile of hers which let the Vinsmoke brothers fell unconscious at the back, but with broken hearts and crying. Only Sanji could stand against it. Fighting hard the sorrow in his chest with the words" how cute….. " and what's wrong with the world"

"Whaaaaaaaat!?", Nami and Chopper shouted frightened. "She is the woman of this evil looking, monstrous strong man!!!!! We are screwed!!!!"

(Y/N) met Luffy's gaze, who gave her a curious look.

"Oh you mean the huge mochi guy with the jelly beans?", Luffy asked calmly and (Y/N) gave him a shy nod as answer.

"Congrats!", he smiled happily, while the others cried out even more of their clueless captain.

"God I am surrounded by idiots. Katakuri is the most dangerous one out there … And who knows what she is capable of. Or what her intentions are. Who brought her here? ", Bege growled angered to have an enemy inside his shelter.

"Oh come on (Y/N) is our friend now. She won't hurt us right (Y/N)?", Luffy spoke with a big smile and took her off guard. He was the first one that wasn't scared in the slightest of her husband and welcoming her with open arms.

"I would never hurt someone…", (Y/N) spoke seriously, while Luffy nodded.

"There. You got it.", he spoke to the others who rolled their eyes frustrated. Chopper came to (Y/N) 's side and took her hand. His look was full of sadness and made herself feeling bad as well.

"what's wrong? I swear I don't have any bad intentions. I got pulled in this by accident.. Or better by you.", she tried to lighten his mood, but his expression stayed the same, while looking at her arms, where her dress was torn.

"These wounds… Is.. Is he hurting you? Is he treating you badly?", he asked and shocked the others who didn't realize her bruises at first.

"What? No. No. Don't get the wrong idea.", (Y/N) stuttered and stepped back quickly.

"If he is hurting you then I will beat him to a pulp!", Luffy growled and balled his fists.

"Getting forced into a marriage, which he should be happy about to get such a woman and then hurt her? My precious (Y/N) ~swaaan… I will be the first one to get him", Sanji stepped beside Luffy, while getting another cigarette out of his pocket.

"No these wounds are not from him. I got kidnapped. He was the one who helped me..", she stuttered quickly to get the situation under control. Nami took her hand and rubbed her back.

"It.. It's okay (Y/N). A political marriage is hard and sure you have to carry a big burden to stay by this monsters side. You will come with us and you don't have to see him again. You will be free again. Whatever pressure medium they have, we will find a way to help.", Nami tried to comfort her, while tears rolled down (Y/N) 's face. It wasn't because of her caring words. No. It was more of the pain in her heart that they judged Katakuri mostly because of his appearance.

" Sure did he hurt her. Look at him. Such a man doesn't know how to treat a lady."

" This monster"

"how could he."

Every word gave her another stab in her heart, because at the beginning she was also afraid of him. The man with the kind heart. Maybe not to everybody, but to her.

"Stop it!", she shouted out in anger. Her body was trembling and her look coldly directed to the shocked people around her.

"Everything I said is the truth. Katakuri would never lay a finger on me. Never hurt me. Never treat me bad. I was kidnapped and he rescued me. Even if he would come too late to Pudding's wedding. He still came and got me. I know how scary his actions could be. He is a pirate like you. It's true that it was a political marriage and yeah we had our difficulties. Who wouldn't? It was hard for him too. But he has a heart and I will do anything to protect it from bad talking like you did. ", (Y/N) spoke exhausted and avoid their stunned looks.

" I see..you like my brother… That a forced marriage could lead to love. That's quite rare and special. I am happy for you two.", Chiffon smiled.

" Then it's okay. Katakuri is a good man.", Luffy calmed down immediately and came to (Y/N) 's side, who was shocked that he accepted so quickly. Brushing her tears away in a gently way the others watched their captains action surprised.

Feeling something on her head she looked up and found Luffy' s hat. Confused (Y/N) looked into his smiling face.

"But… If he comes in our way. I have to fight him. Good or bad. With or without heart. We want to get out of here alive. So forgive me (Y/N). ", he added and took the hat from her to get it back.

"Yes Luffy. I know… ", (Y/N) smiled brightly and hugged the captain, while Sanji cried out again.

"Sorry (Y/N). We didn't want to hurt you.", Nami and Chopper spoke and smiled after she hugged them dearly. Relieved that she could stand up for her husband, she gave the others space to make a plan.

Her look wandered to a window and slowly she stepped before it. She was surprised that the first thing she saw was him. Calmly and collected as always he stood before the castle. His look ice cold. How she wished to just run out there and be by his side. To just let time turn back to the point where they enjoyed each others company at the party. (Y/N) was sure that he couldn't see her, nevertheless his look felt like he was able to notice her. She could see through his cold expression and knew how worried he was.

"Soon… You will get me back. Right Katakuri? Like always…", she sighed and headed back to the others.

In the end they decided to get out of here, while the Vinsmoke family attack.

" what about (Y/N)? Isn't it too dangerous to let her out, while Big mom is attacking?", Nami asked seriously and (Y/N) didn't know what to do. If she would get out and run into Big mom or in another fighting, Katakuri would be distracted or getting hurt as well.

" She will be our hostage and come with us till we are on the sunny. Then you can go back to your husband", Luffy announced bluntly and got scolded by Nami.

"Sorry (Y/N). We are pirates after all. And I want to keep you safe. And I think the jelly bean guy would want that too.", Luffy added while rubbing his head of Nami's punch.

"Okay I will come with you.", she spoke and trusted his words to get back to Katakuri.

On the other side was a more than pissed Sweet General, who could only watch and stay still.

"What do you think they are doing with (Y/N)?", Oven asked worried, but only got a dangerous glance from his brother.

"There is nothing we could do, while Mama is attacking. Getting in her way is like suicide. We can only wait for their next move. (Y/N) is strong. I will get her back as soon as possible. ", he spoke coldly.

To their surprise the castle started to move. Surrounded by smoke it disappeared and Bege appeared in his normal size. Pointing their guns at him, Katakuri felt his body tremble of worry. Was she okay? Or hurt? Too weak to run away? His mind was racing with question.

"If someone shoots before I get (Y/N), I will not hesitate to punish you.", he spoke dangerously, while the others nodded quickly. His look focused on the smoke, he could only see the Vinsmoke family and Bege with this scientist who tried to fly away with him.

" (Y/N) is still inside of him… ", he thought pissed and started to fight. He did everything to get Bege, but the others always got in between. Still he was coming closer and closer to Bege side, but out of nowhere an huge explosion let everything turn into a disaster.

" Damn it. What's that now?!", he cursed under his breath and had to stop in his tracks.

The whole cake chateau crumbled and was about to crash onto the townspeople at sweet city, but Streussen the head cook worked hard to rescue as much as he could. But for Katakuri it was still a nightmare. He couldn't let his siblings get hurt and helped them out, while Bege was able to leave.

Would they take (Y/N) with them? Steal her away from him?

Sweet city was in chaos. Not only because the chateau crashed down on some places, it was also getting more and more destroyed by Big mom who was craving for the wedding cake.

"We are screwed!! What should we do? We have no cake and Mama's hunger pangs won't stop. The whole island will be destroyed soon. On top of that the straw hats left!! ", Perospero spoke frustrated. It was a moment where everyone was looking to their big brother. Katakuri knew right away what they wanted. He was always their hero who knew a solution. Always their last string if things ended bad. Who fought their hardest enemies and lead them to victory. Sighing he glanced to his mother and the destroyed houses of sweet city.

"If the island gets destroyed then so be it. We are not able to stop her craving without the dessert. It's more important to stay alive. We will go in groups to go after the straw hat pirates and evacuate the city. ", Katakuri announced seriously, while the others nodded quickly in agreement. Luckily Pudding appeared and came up with an idea to get a cake.

" What about (Y/N)? ", Smoothie asked her brother worried. Katakuri balled his fists in anger and frustration. With every minute which passed, she was longer in their fangs and it made his blood boil.

"I will go and get her back, while hunting down the straw hats. Brulee you come with me.", Katakuri spoke shortly and pulled his sister along with him who shivered of his dangerous gaze. He knew exactly where to go. How he could reach them without a chance that they could escape with his wife.

" (Y/N)…. Even if it cost my life. I will safe you."

good question! i don't think i have any canon/canon ships that i'm nearly as attached to as my oc/canon ones but hmmm off the top of my head in no particular order- (i definitely rambled too much omggg 🏃‍♂️💨💨)

ZoSan: my first introduction to OP through doujin of all things when I was younger lol, my feelings towards these characters have morphed and changed and complicated over the years (regards to Sanji in particular), I have a lot to say both good and some bad about them but at the end of the day I'll always have a soft spot for curly and marimo in this little heart of mine, they're my old reliable <3

PenShach: I'm a sucker for childhood friends to lovers lmao, they've been glued to each other's sides through hell or high water (literally, with the tsunami that killed their respective parents), having their backs when things got rough at home with Shachi's aunt and uncle, swearing their loyalty to this weird kid who both beat them up for bullying an innocent polar bear and saved their lives, stumbling ass backwards through their attractions to other people, each other, and Penguin's gender - it's a sweet idea 💕

KilKidd: similar to PenShach in that they grew up together and learned to get along when they had no one but each other to rely on but on top of that also the absolute devotion and unwavering trust a first mate can have in his captain, the resolve to stick by him til the bitter end 🥹

Frobin: two jaded, hurt people doomed by fate and circumstance who are ultimately bound to one another and decide to build their way out of a shitty situation together, stronger - the fact that they're a little "older" as well (even though early-mid 30s shouldn't be considered old at all) but still managing to experience all these giddy, happy feelings you'd only expect from adolescence is very important to me 🥺💕 (they're also t4t bi4bis)

UsoNami: kids drawn to the open sea by a dream and realizing immediately that they were WAY in over their heads but bond over being the 'weakest links' in their group despite holding immeasurable value to the SHs in their specialized skills and friendships, they've also just always had a cute kind of chemistry that I like - girlboss with the silly guy who makes her laugh (also bi4bis but aside from Usopp I think Nami would be disinterested in guys entirely)

I like SmoAce, AceSan, and DeuAce all for different reasons - smug punk getting on an older man's last nerve every single day and babygirling the hell out of him at the same time, the push and pull/taboos of a pirate x marine dynamic, how both of them are a little dissatisfied with their lot in life (constantly being on the run with no place to return to, having to answer to uncaring and at worst outright cruel higherups that cared none for what their so-called "Justice" actually meant) and find comfort in each other for what few, temporary chances they get - Sanji's bisexual awakening/the immediate angst in the wake of Marineford and what that means for the feelings he has no where to put now because Ace always said it for him (because he was too scared to on his own) - that sweet sweet first mate/captain dynamic I love 😩👌 + I kind of like the Spade pirates as they were before joining WB and all, I want to know more about the people Ace deliberately chose to surround himself with rather than the family he was adopted into

SaNami in Bege x Chiffon / Gotti x Lola

Before you read this post, please read the Post Hub first for explanation and clarity on what kind of post this will be, as well as my thoughts on this topic in the One Piece Manga and Story.

One of the really interesting parts when it comes to Lola and Chiffon is that both of them played a critical part in disrupting Nami and Sanji’s forced weddings. I just find that really symbolic and an amusing choice on Oda’s part.

To start of with, I want put the spotlight on a similarity I found when it comes to Sanji and Bege. Some always talk about Nami dislikes how Sanji “can not get serious” at times. And the “acting like an idiot” when he is around /doing something he loves for example, serving her or around women.

Well... no one can be serious 100% of the time, and the proof for that is Capone “Gang” Bege is literally a mafia boss and a supernova and yet...:

A character like him should be the most serious as they come. But whenever Bege is around his wife or his son, he does not care if he would come out as an idiot.

Why is it that when it comes to Sanji it is suddenly not allowed?

Moving onto Nami and Chiffon. A certain panel of Chiffon randomly peaked my interest, i dont know it sort of hit me:

The title of the chapter this panel is in is called “A Woman’s Honor”. We have seen multiple times where Nami thanks Sanji for whatever he has done for her, but this might be a hint that what Nami has done for Sanji is somewhat close to what Chiffon is saying but not quite...

And before anyone say that this a reach, the thing is... this is a side of Nami that we have already seen before:

Adding in Gotti and Lola, there are only two moments I can talk about. First, of course...

I dont think this needs any type of explanation.

But the next one sticked out to me. I just could not ignore it...

I need to say one thing, I know that not all girls are the same. But it is something that can not be denied:

“I DON’T KNOW WHO YOU ARE, BUT THANKS FOR SAVING ME”. In this situation, Gotti saved Lola because he thought she was Chiffon, but from Lola’s perspective he is a man who saved her when she was in danger even when he did not know her.

Going back to Arlong Park:

At this point in the story, Luffy Zoro and Ussop did not really spend that much time with Nami, but they at least traveled together, fought together and from Nami’s memories we saw them having fun with each other and it was all genuine. At this point, they are friends and as pirates it is normal to risk your life.

But something feels odd here... there is someone who is risking his life for her when they only interacted for a couple of minutes.

If you read Arlong Park again, During the fight Nami says Luffy, Zoro and Ussop’s names but not Sanji’s, she did not even know him let alone his name:

Sanji fought as well, he was on the floor bleeding, he jumped into the water to save Luffy, she saw him... so what? She did not care? Or she did not know him yet?

“SHE DID’T KNOW HIM, YET HE SAVED HER AND HER VILLAGE’S LIVES”

In Arlong Park, Sanji was special, just as Nami was in WCI.

What Sanji did was not normal... and it is even more impactful from Nami’s perspective. Why? Because when they met, all she saw in him was a “womanizer”, it was shown only to us readers his chivalrous nature, she did not know that either.

Her friends came to save her, but who is this guy?
