[id: It is four digital drawings of Leo and Donnie from rottmnt. In the first drawing Leo is in the middle of a trick. He has one hand on the ramp and he is holding his body upside down, his other hand holding the skateboard; the board has a blue and white checkered pattern and has a couple stickers on it.
In the second image, Leo is riding a skateboard with his knees slightly bent, one arm u and the other flying behind him; he is wearing a grayish blue shirt, black pants, white sneakers and elbow pads.
In the third image, Leo is drawn skating, relaxed, with his hands on his pockets and an easy smile on his face, his mask tails flowing behind him. Next to that there is a smaller scribble of Leo falling from the skateboard while its flung away from him.
Lastly, the last image is a drawing of Donnie and Leo sitting side to side. Donnie is working on something with his goggles on while Leo is screaming and holding his head beside him. “OUGH MY HEAD HURTS” screams Leo and Donnie responds “take ur contacts off, Leon”./ end id]
these are helpful things i've figured out as a self taught skater boi™️
bend your knees and squeeze your butt cheeks just a smidge. This will help you balance while allowing you to relax your upper body.
get really comfortable rotating the foot on your standing leg. this is for balance and steering.
the street is not always your friend. my rule is: if I wouldnt bike there, i won't skate there (bike lanes are iffy. I usually go for sidewalks if theres gravel build-up).
eyes up! you naturally steer to where you are looking, so avoid staring at your feet.
important skills to master are balance, pushing, steering, and stoping. Fear of falling will hold you back, so bonus points for bailing skills!
(for anyone who skates, what are your skate park tips? Because the skate park scares and intimidates me)
