A Kiss to Make it Better

Melissa Schemmenti x Reader

Prompt: Reader is the school nurse and Melissa has a student who needs some stitching up after a scissors mishap.

Warnings: mentions of blood and slight medical stuff

a/n: i havent written in so long so i’m trying to get back into it. I think i may have aged myself with the handy manny reference…but oh well. This is my first time writing for melissa schemmenti and this is not proofread :)

“Ashley, can you collect the scissors from everyone. Lunch is starting soon.” Melissa called over her shoulder as she wiped the board clean of the clocks she’d be using to teach her students.

“Sure thing boss. I’m ready to get my eat on.” Ashley chirped as she finished fluffing her hair in the reflection of her phone. The women had been working together for a couple of months now and Melissa was really trying to accept the help the best way she knew how. Ashley was not her ideal candidate for an aide, but she’d straightened up a bit since Halloween and Melissa recognized that. But that didn’t mean she was any happier about her being there.

Once Melissa finished cleaning her own area of the classroom she turned to her students readying to rally them into a line for the journey to the lunchroom. She had some leftover ziti waiting for her and she was ready for the break from not only her students but her aide as well. Since Halloween, Ashley had been banished to cafeteria duty, so Melissa always took advantage the time. “Alright kiddos, let’s line up. It’s lunch time.” The room filled with cheers and the scrape of chairs as the students shoved their chairs back under the desks as they’d been taught to do. Melissa did another once-over the room before nodding and heading to the door with the students following behind her. Ashley was playing caboose and was following dutifully behind all the children. They were mere feet from the turn into the cafeteria when Melissa heard it.

“Miss Schemmenti, DeVon is bleeding!” The small voice called through the hall causing the redhead to come to a halt.

“What?” She asked turning on the line and making her way down the line eyeing each of the children searching for the injured kid. It was toward the back of the line that she saw the student in question cradling his hand in his pocket in an attempt to hide the injury. “DeVon, what happen? Where are you bleeding?”

DeVon, knowing he’d get in trouble opted to remain quiet and just pulled his hand from his pocket for the teacher to examine. As he did so a pair of scissors clattered to the floor causing all the other students to murmur and whisper. Melissa sighed heavily as her eyes fell to Ashley with a frown.

“He said he wasn’t done yet…” She started causing Melissa to groan at the girl’s behavior.

“Ashley take the rest of the class to lunch. DeVon and I are gonna go see the nurse.” Melissa ordered placing her hands on the younger boys shoulders and grabbing the scissors from the floor before turning to head for the nurse’s office.

Now the consistent nurse was a new thing for Abbott, after Janine’s whole ‘handy-manny’ incident with the lights. They’d had rotating nurses up until then and Ava was forced to get a full-time nurse to be at the school at all times. It took them a while but they finally got one to stay, Miss Y/n. She started after the New Year and when it came time to renew her contract for the new school year, she was more than ready to sign onto the Abbott team. Melissa hadn’t had very many run-ins with her thus far, aside from their initial meeting in the break room one day toward the end of last year. And even that encounter was brief. But she’d heard only good things about the young woman and it seemed like now would be their first official encounter.

Melissa and DeVon reached the door to the nurse’s office and the redhead knocked against the wood apprehensively. DeVon’s hand seemed to stop bleeding but she wanted to make sure it was cleaned and bandaged as soon as possible but she wasn’t completely sure that was the reason for her unease. Before Melissa could even question her nerves, there was shuffling on the other side of the door and a voice calling out to them, “Come on in, it’s open.”

Melissa pushed the door open leading DeVon into the small office and her eyes settled on a woman clad is the brightest pink scrubs she’d ever seen. The scrubs were as close to a highlighter as she’d seen, but that wasn’t what caught her attention. As bright as her clothes were, nothing seemed to be competing with the smile the woman was casting toward the two intruders. “Well hello there! What have we got here?” She grinned rolling over to the little boy with a smile before turning her gaze to his teacher.

Melissa cleared her throat attempting to compose herself before speaking, “A bit of a scissor mishap.” Melissa said simple, mentally patting herself on the back for not stumbling through her words with the woman’s eyes on her.

“Awe man, well how about we get that all cleaned up so you can head to lunch?”

DeVon nodded and allowed the woman to lead him over to the bed against the wall. Melissa, leaned against the door and watched as she grabbed all the materials she’d need to handle the cleaning. The nurse worked quietly distracting DeVon from the pain and even let him pick out a bandaid when she’d finished the hard part. And as if the scene couldn’t get any cuter, she heard the woman ask a question only someone who really understood kids would as.

“Are you too cool for a kiss to make it better? It’s my secret weapon, guaranteed to make any injury heal faster.”

When DeVon held his hand back out eagerly, Melissa couldn’t help the grin on her face as the younger woman placed an dramatized kiss against the small hand. “And you are all done.” She finished before turning her attention back to the woman against the wall.

“Thank you,” Melissa said as DeVon hurried back to her side, practically buzzing to return to his classmates.

“My pleasure Miss Schemmenti.” Melissa felt the heat rise in her ears at the nurse’s words. “Listen I know you’re both hungry, so go ahead and take your lunch. If you can come see me before you leave that would be amazing, just so I can log the incident,”

“Of course, sounds good. C’mon DeVon, tell Miss Y/n, thank you.” Melissa prompted and the boy followed before they headed toward the door. Melissa gazing over her shoulder as they left.

“Last nurse we had just wasn’t a great fit. Didn’t really care about the kids, kinda mean. We’re lucky to have Miss Y/n.” Melissa shrugged into the camera before heading back to her classroom.

“Oh I love Abbott! I moved to Philly at the start of the year and did some floating between hospitals while I waited for a position to open up in a school. I interviewed at a few places, but I guess I liked Abbott the most. There’s never a boring day in these halls.” Y/n smiled toward the camera.

“There you are Melissa, what’s this I hear about your student stabbing himself with scissors? You know we don’t have any money for a lawsuit.” Ava said as soon as Melissa entered the teacher’s lounge.

“He didn’t stab himself, and even if he did you’re asking the wrong person. Ashley was supposed to collect all the scissors before lunch.” Melissa groaned finally falling into her seat to enjoy her lunch.

“She’s pretty expendable at this point. If anyone asks, she stabbed him.” Ava whispered before eyeing the camera suspiciously.

“Did you get everything taken care?” Barbara asked after watching watched her friend tuck into her pasta.

“Oh yeah, we stopped by the nurse’s office and she got it all fixed up. I gotta stop back by there for the incident report or whatever before I leave, but she took care of it.”

“Oh just adore her, I had a kindergartener have an accident last week and she was so embarrased but Y/n’s started keeping extra uniforms in her office so she got her changed and back to class before we even started the next lesson.” Barbara gushed with a smile.

“Oh yeah, I love Y/n. I got a pretty gnarly paper cut yesterday. Gushing blood everywhere, but she came to my classroom to patch me up and she even has those cute skintone bandaids. So inclusive.” Jacob added, walking to the fridge, catching Barbara’s praise and hopping on the train.

“I didn’t realize she was so popular around here. This was the first time I’ve really seen her since she started.” Melissa said eyeing the teachers in the lounge.

“That’s because you have a tendency to steer clear of new faces.” Barbara reminded the red head.

“Yeah, do you remember how long it took you to warm up to me?” Janine asked leaning over the table she was sat at with a teasing smile. Melissa, with her back to Janine eyed Barbara and the camera briefly before nodding her head to appease the younger teacher.

“Anyways, I guess you’re right.” Melissa shrugged, “Plus I haven’t really had a reason to talk to her besides today.”

“I think you’d like her.” Barb said stabbing at a stubborn piece of lettuce.

“And why’s that?”

Barbara simply shrugged her shoulders and settled the redhead with one of her ‘all-knowing’ looks, “I just have a feeling.”

Melissa gazed at Barbara, attempting to understand what she was suggesting, “Mmhm okay.”

“Knock, knock.” Melissa said as she crossed the threshold to the nurse’s office for the second time that day.

“Hi! Thank you so much for coming back, I really appreciate it. Was DeVon okay for the rest of the day?” Y/n asked as she motioned for the woman to have a seat on the chair in front of her desk.

“Oh yeah, tough kid. Didn’t even cry.”

“Awesome. I really just need you to sign off on the incident report and we can both head home for the day.” Y/n smiled grabbing a pen from a mug full of sparkly pens.

“Sounds good, hon. Where do ya need it?” Melissa asked reaching for the pen and report across the desk.

“Bottom left.”

As the woman passed the items over to Melissa their hands seemed to brush against each oher’s unconsciously. The new contact startled Melissa and in her haste to pull her hand away the pen clattered to the floor rolling to a halt near the foot of the desk.

“Whoops.” Y/n said as she peaked over the desk.

“No worries.” Melissa muttered out as she bent over her knees to pick the pen up.

“Oh be careful on your way up, there a bit of an uneven cor-” Y/n started but stopped as she heard the swear fall from the redhead’s mouth as she rose to sitting again. “-ner. Are you okay?” She said quickly rolling around the desk to examine the woman’s injury.

“Oh, I’m fine. No need to fuss. It was just a lil bump on the head, I’ve taken worse than that from family.” Melissa said frowning as the nurse seemed to ignore her and continued fussing around her head.

“That doesn’t mean you don’t have a concussion. Let me see.” Y/n said sliding her chair between Melissa and the desk. She pulled the pen from Melissa’s hands and waved in her face a bit, “Follow the pen with your eyes.” After Melissa rolled her eyes, she followed the pen as she was asked. “Any pain, nausea, dizziness?”

“No, none of that. I’m fine Y/n, I promise.” Melissa said fixing the younger nurse with a pointed look, practically daring her to ask another question.

“Fine, I’ll stop. I just wanted to make sure nothing was wrong.” Y/n sheepishly said handing the pen back to Melissa to sign off on the report. “Wouldn’t want to have to do another incident report.”

Melissa shook her head softly before handing the paper back, “That’s for sure. Anything else?”

Y/n gazed at Melissa tentatively before leaning in to lay a light kiss to her head, “A kiss to make it better.”

Melissa’s cheeks heated instantly and ducked her head to hide it from the young nurse. She didn’t move to stand until Y/n did and she grabbed her purse and jacket quickly, trying her hardest to pull herself together. By the time she’d found all of her things, she felt ready enough to meet Y/n’s eyes again and when she did, her eyes were already on her. Her cheeks heated again, this time less aggressively. “Thanks, Y/n. Have a good night.”

“You too Melissa. Come back to see me, if you suddenly forget the name of one of your guys or something.” Y/n smirked with a wave sending the older teacher out of the school fighting a goofy grin and laugh.

“She’s nice.” Melissa spoke to the camera before she turned and headed for the parking lot.

THEY MEAN THE WORLDDDDD TO MEEEEEE for some reason a lot of people in the fandom don't play Ace Attorney 5 which is fair since it's kind of messy BUT. BUT. IT INTRODUCES ATHENA AND DOES SOOOO MUCH FOR THE WRIGHT ANYTHING AGENCY. In AA4 we learn that Trucy Wright made the Wright Talent Agency into the Wright Anything Agency in order to bring Apollo in as a lawyer when before it was just her (a magician) and her adopted father Phoenix (a poker player). and AA5 is all about Athena joining and Apollo learning how to trust her, at least it is to ME. they're so gooddddd aaaaaaa like you've got Phoenix and Trucy who are weirdos who love to scheme and you've got Apollo their longsuffering guy who deals with it all, and Phoenix is the mentor... and then Athena comes in and she has a lot of light and determination and trauma (just like the rest of them lol) and she's SO determined and I like her a lot!! And Trucy is my favorite and Phoenix cares about her SO much but he also has his other found family in the Feys!!!!!! Mia dies in the first game but her ghost stays with Phoenix and her sister/cousin Maya and Pearl are SO IMPORTANT TO HIM he loves them so much that's his sisters to me ;-; he would do anything for them and Trucy and he's growing as a mentor to Apollo and Athena too as the game progress... They don't write them all perfectly but they sure do a lot of things I like :) also feel free to split this up into their Wright Anything Agency or Phoenix + the Feys or Phoenix + Trucy if you need to I won't mind I just love AA's found family a lot

Picture this. You are a attorney in your mid 20s and somehow find yourself surrounded by weird little girls with every case you take on. You officially adopt one but really, all of them are either sisters or daughters to you. Especially your loud, burger-loving lesbian sister. Your childhood friend turned rival turned lover, who has a whip-wielding adoptive sister of his own, goes on a series of investigations while messing around with a furry for a couple of weeks and returns with two 17 year old children, a thieving lesbian and a child with a narcissistic murderer for a father who should've kept him back in school a few grades. Your lover has each of them under an arm, and they are appended to your stable of weird little girls but are very much hidden in the back. Then you find out that your daughter, the official one, has a 22yo trans half-brother with a musical diva mother and was half raised as a prince in Khura'in, so you divorce his boss (who is not your official lover, you just had a weird thing for a while when you were in your alcoholic phase, maybe while your actual lover was still messing around with the furry) very publicly while sending him to prison for murdering your daughter's father. Oh, but you have been disbarred, so you make your daughter's son send his own boss to prison, by planting false evidence on him. Of course the young man punches you in the face. Needless to say he works for you for a couple of years and never finds out that he's related to your daughter because that would require a straightforward conversation, now wouldn't it?

Theyre very weird and misteruous and kinda fucked up a bit and they were through a lot but phoenix did his best and trucy well she's still just a kid but oh she's trying so fucking hard and always trying to wear a smile and it's breaking my heart the two of them. Also theyre weird i already said that but let me say it again they are WEIRD. and we love them<3 (the ace attorney fandom)

Two quick propaganda rules:

1. Propaganda is good and encouraged, just don’t send any negative propaganda. This tournament is for fun, and anti-propaganda kinda ruins that.

2. If you do make propaganda, you can either send it through my ask box, or you can reblog the post with your propaganda. Either is fine!

These 6 brackets will go on until there’s only one character left in each. Once the six semi-finalists are chosen, there will be two battles of 3, and then the winners of that will go against each other in the finals! Each poll will last for one day, but the finals and semifinals will be a week each. Can't stop thinking about a Red vs Blue Clone Wars crossover.

I've been watching both shows constantly and I just keep thinking about how many of the characters are actually fairly similar in their either strict personality or absolute dumbassery or just plain similar.

Captain Rex and Agent Washington would be GREAT FRIENDS. Like, BEST BUDS. Because they both follow the rules but won't hesitate to tweak or bend them to finish the mission. Well trained badasses who'll always win a fight. They are also the dads of their squads and will die for their men without a second thought. Also, they have really annoying older siblings. Spend their days talking about how much they simultaneously love and want to kill their men.

Fives, Jesse, Kix, and Lavernius Tucker would be the "yo, let's go get some girls" gang. They're playboys. But despite putting on that "I'm too cool" persona, they're actually great soldiers.

Hardcase + Caboose = Amazing disaster duo. They radiate chaos. They're funny, they're loveable, they can be dumb but when it comes down to it somehow they'll save everyone. They are the very first ones questioned if something blows up.

Dogma and Simmons. They're kiss assess. Rules are life. Their CO is their god.

I feel very similar energies between Wolffe/Fox and Leonard Church/Epsilon. They both pretend to hate everyone, they are SO DONE WITH LIFE, everyone is amazed they haven't keeled over from an aneurysm by now, but deep down they are as loyal as can be and will do anything for their friends. But they still say "fuck you" to everyone. They're the hate gang. Boil also falls into this category.

Commander Cody and Agent Carolina. They're badasses, they're unstoppable, they're both masters of martial arts, they're both the best in their league. And they both value their friends above everything else. They also have very little patience for shenanigans. Dawn Of The Simfected: Meet The Neighbours

The Partner

You've always liked your neighbour Dizzy. She's odd but sweet and always takes care of everyone in your building. When the virus hits, you two decide to team up and what you learn about her really surprises you. First, she's a very country Sims and can clean and cook fish like you've never seen. Second, she's packing and thank goodness because the neighbours seem to want to snack on you. Third, she's hot. She's the prefect survival partner.

The Herbalist

While hiding in the woods waiting for the worst of the R8-GE virus to pass, you meet Jayla. She knows everything about plants and how to use them to heal. When someone in camp falls deadly ill, Jayla steps in and saves them. When winter starts to draw near, you know you have to move your group to lower ground to avoid the worst of the snow and Jayla agrees to go with.

The Rooftop Camp

At The Caboose you can get warm coffee, a cold brew and whatever Bill is cooking up. He has a big heart, a great sense of humour and nothing scares him. Not even Sims that want him on the menu. He sets up camp on the roof of his building and provides a landing spot for Sims fleeing the city

The Kid

One night you meet this little runt, running from a bunch of hooligans. You feel sorry for the kid but the virus is everywhere and you know by taking her in you are exposing not only yourself but the whole group and it's a extra mouth to feed. On the other hand, you can't let the poor kid fight this thing on her own but then again, she's made it this far so she might be useful.

The Del Sol Gang

The Nomads are a feral tribe of Sims that run Del Sol. Made up of four classes: Chiefsblood that rule the tribe with an iron bloody fist, Scavs that provide for the tribe, Enders that act as enforces/soldiers and Worklings. If you cross paths with Nomads, you better run. They'll take everything you have and either make you a workling or end you. The most feared Sims in Del Sol Valley, even worse than the dead.

The Sulani Rescue Team

When R8-GE hit, Tess was just a seaplane pilot flying tourist into Sulani & Ed was slinging drinks at The Sand Bar. Now Ed does supply runs at night with two of the dead to help carry the goodies he finds, he found by feeding them plasma fruit & plasma packs he can stop them from attacking him. Tess flies supplies out to other communities like those in Henford, Chestnut and Bridleton. She also goes on rescue missions with Ed to save Sims trapped by the dead.

The Big Guns

The Oasis Springs base has held up well with such a small force to defend it. They've kept most of the herds out of Oasis and raiders know to keep well away. The time has come to train those left after R8-GE and take back Simnation. Colonel Gregory won't settle for anything but the best of the best as she knows you'll have to go into the deadlands aka Strangerville to save Simkind and that won't be for the weak.

The Ranch

This family lost many friends to the R8-GE virus. They've worked the land on Yellowrock for generations and when Sims found their way to the ranch, the family knew it was time to build a new community on the land they knew so well. Who needs cars when you have horses right? And plenty of crops to feed everyone. Heins finds himself the unlikely mayor of this new little town.

The Manor

When the R8-GE virus hit, Holden didn't wait around to see what happens. He put a fence around his farm, secured his animals and got the manor ready to receive more Sims. He had Dr. Nostrum move in and build a clinic. His farm soon turned into a small town, a safe haven and a place to not just survive but thrive. He hopes to create a future for his little girls even if the world has gone to hell.

The Harbour

When the world was taken over by the R8-GE virus, no one was left to look after the animals. Fisherman Herbert and Vet Frances are working around the clock to save not only pets but their owners. Brindleton has become a safe harbor for all. The docks are busy day and night with Sims arriving, buying food and trading items. Frances finds herself in the role of mayor since the old went ran off into the woods when Sims started to turn. She's turned the vet clinic into a clinic for Sims too, although she doesn't really know how to treat Sims. So say "moo"...oh dear, we mean "aaah".

Your New Best Friend

You go to check on your downstairs neighbour, a army vet that you think might have an idea about how bad this virus could be. Sadly, you find a note asking someone to please take care of Soldier. You can hear movement in the next room but you're pretty sure whatever it is, is no longer your neighbour. You take Soldier, close the door and tape a note to it "Do not enter. Dead inside"

21. Murder on the Picturesque Express with Scott Aukerman

Plot summary:

A murder takes place on a picturesque old timey train. Paints McSpectrum, an artist/detective is tasked with solving the crime. He meets a rich blind little boy named Specs and a poor little girl named Janely who are best friends. A grandfather and his two grandsons, Griseldo and Greg, get in the way of the train detective Detective Montgomery and his apprentice Fiffle Mplopple. They discover that the floor of the caboose is coated with blood and red blood paint and that Specs' parents have been dismembered. Specs says that the body parts couldn't have belonged to his parents because his father's penis was bigger than that (how would he have known, he's blind). Eventually he accepts that his parents are dead. Griseldo and Greg try to solve the murder on their own to appease their Daddy Grandpa but they're scrappy kids and don't succeed. They meet a german knife salesman and a mexican maraca salesman. Janely talks about how there are no laws protecting her and how she has to work on the factories and gets one free club sandwich a month. She gives it away to another child worker. She asks Specs how many sandwiches he gets and realizes she'd have to work for 11 years just to get the same amount of food. Specs gets paranoid and assumes he killed his parents. Griseldo and Greg are told that they can call their grandfather Daddy Grandpa if they saw the crime. Specs is murdered immediately after being accused of murder. Fiffle and Detective Montgomery break up after Detective Montgomery fires him. He jumps off the train to his death I assume. The detective is accused of murder and is then murdered. Daddy Grandpa is also murdered, leaving Greg, Griseldo, Marco Rodriguez, Janely remain. Marco is killed. The knife salesman is also murdered. Greg and Griseldo are then murdered. Janely is the only one remaining and she's accused of murder but she denies it because she's just a poor dining cart girl. Fiffle reveals that he didn't kill himself and that he's actually the murderer because he got tired of his lover Detective Montgomery solving boring crimes. Janely sings a song about she's going to try to kill Fiffle with a maraca but he kills her. He stabs Paints immediately after. It turns out the knives were fake and everyone's alive. Fiffle is taken to prison and then hell.

Betty (pretty face): this one seems contradictory to the theme but Betty’s biggest insecurity is that she’s nothing more than a pretty face. Her parents expected her to be seen and not heard, and there was always a lot of pressure from her mother in particular to look perfect at all times (especially before they moved, when Quinn was Lucy Caboose, Betty had to be “the pretty one”) and she’s afraid that people only see her as pretty face and nothing more, but she’s also afraid that that’s actually all that there really is to her

Cece (nothing special): Cece used to think she was special, until she joined Glee. But after being shoved into Rachel’s shadow for so long, Cece is starting to feel like she’s just another small-town girl with big dreams and like she’s not actually anything special

Christie (wallflower): Christie loves Kurt more than anything in the world, but when your brother is the most out, loud, flamboyant person in the entire town, it’s very hard to step out of that shadow, and Christie really struggles to

Colton (used goods): Colton tries so hard not to be ashamed. He tries so so hard to embrace who he is and to not let McKinley being McKinley make him hate himself. There’s only one thing that he really hates about himself, only one thing that could ever go on his shirt, but he can’t do it. He tries to make it, he really does, but he ends up having a panic attack and can’t do it. Artie makes it for him instead, gives it to him, and tells him that he doesn’t have to wear it if he doesn’t want to, he’s got a blank shirt for him if that’s what he needs, but that he also doesn’t need to feel ashamed for anything and that he’s the only person in the glee club who sees himself that way

Daphne (professional disaster): Daphne is a whole ass mess and has been for a long time, but a whole lot of that is the result of a lot of people in her life realizing that as long as they keep her making headlines, they keep making money, so all of these people who were supposed to be looking out for her best interest and for her career turned her into tabloid fodder and threw her to the wolves, and when it finally blew up, they hung her out to dry, and she still struggles with the ramifications of that (battling the addiction that they started, not being able to trust that anyone genuinely has her best interest at heart, etc

Delilah (self destructive): Delilah got kicked out of her fancy arts boarding school with a full ride because she keyed a teacher’s car… she doesn’t mean to ruin things but like Puck, she tends to struggle with self control when she doesn’t have someone to keep her on track, and screws herself over a lot in the process Demi (viral mess): hers is kind of a given, the lowest moment of her life was literally filmed and went viral and she can’t go anywhere without people seeing her and bringing up that video

Jeremy (unwanted): Jeremy’s parents always sucked, his mom was absentee when he was a baby and his dad wasn’t even in the picture until he was five, his uncle basically raised him from age 5 onwards, and some of his most vivid memories are of Jesse playing music for him as loud as he could to try to drown out chad & Johanna’s fights and chad accusing Jeremy of not even being his, but also only a few weeks before born this way (in biota, also the week of his fifteenth birthday), his parents officially signed custody over to his uncle josh without even telling him

Joy (mistake): Mr Schue didn’t mean it in the way that it came out, and he definitely didn’t mean for Joy to hear it, but he did call her the biggest mistake of his life and she did hear it

Kendall (lost cause): Kendall isn’t the most book smart (but she is very people smart and smarter than people realize) but most people see her being sweet and bubbly and optimistic and take it to mean that she’s stupid and naive, and she’s lost track of how many people (especially teachers) have called her a lost cause

Mac (insignificant): Mac knows that he and the band were initially only recruited to glee to be their band (and they didn’t even want to be a part of glee, they only joined because it was a way to play music while at school), but even now that they’ve been actual glee members for almost a year and even though he literally led one of their regional songs the year before and helped write all of their original songs for s2 regionals, he still feels like the rest of the club doesn’t really see him and like if he stopped showing up, no one would even notice until they needed him for a song

Marilyn (pity project): Despite having now been friends with the unholy trinity for over a year, Marilyn still remembers that they only became friends with her because she was useful to them and that they only helped with her makeover and making her popular so that they wouldn’t be seen with a loser, and on bad days she still gets very in her own head about how that’s still the only reason they’re friends with her

Roxie (second rate): Roxie has spent her entire high school career feeling like she’s always second to either Quinn or Rachel. Rachel gets more solos in glee, Quinn beat her for head cheerio, her boyfriend cheated on her with Quinn, etc, and she feels like people only choose her when the others aren’t an option

Sadie (rexie): Sadie has struggled with anorexia since middle school

Fake dating:

This is actually Texas-Hates-Taxes-Too’s idea who wrote that the Lieutenants keep trying to set Wash up on dates and eventually he just gets fed up enough that he just says he’s with Tucker to get them to back off. Then he asks Tucker to pretend for him just until they go to Iris. In my interpretation Tucker only agrees after Wash offers throwing knives lessons and the lieutenants keep trying to make good dates for them in apology. (Hopefully it’s ok for me to take this idea and run with it.)

Werewolf AU:

If you’ve seen Teen Wolf (the tv show) this is based kinda on that. Tucker is Stiles a human with a little something extra who runs with werewolves. Wash is a hunter who comes to investigate the nemeton (an old tree thats power has been regained and is calling supernatural creatures to the town). I guess for a werewolf au it’s a bit different cause neither of the two love interests are werewolves lol. This one would be a big one when I get to writing it, so I have a lot of thoughts on it if you wanna chat lol.

I feel like this one is pretty self explanatory, but the little plot that there is is that Sometimes Tucker can’t take being in charge anymore, being the reason some people live or die? It can be too much sometimes and he just wants to go a little mindless; Wash can help with that.

Tucker and Wash meet online playing video games and for some reason Tucker thinks that Wash is a girl. They do a lot of flirting and decide to meet in person, but when they do Tucker realizes the truth. Once he knows this he says he just wants to stay friends, Wash is a bit disappointed but ok with it. But even as friends Tucker falls in love with Wash all over again.

Jealous Tucker:

Doc, Locus and Donut all fall for Wash at different points and Tucker doesn’t understand why the idea of Wash with any of them makes him want to rip his face off.

Bodyguard:

Tucker’s name gets added to a hit list and needs a bodyguard, enter agent Washington who some (not many) call the best in the business. Having a bodyguard wasn’t new for Tucker, as Church had been his for a while, but there hadn’t been any danger before now and Tucker has to adjust to this new hardass who won’t let him screw around. (Not sure if I want to make this full on mafia au or just Tucker heard something he shouldn’t and now his life is in danger kind of thing)

Grimmons

Temple of Procreation:

Aka what really happened in that closet. Literally just a PWP but maybe with an extra chapter of ‘hey should we talk about this since we almost died. Again!’

Romcom:

Grif may love romcoms but he doesn’t love when he’s accidentally pulled into one and his love interest appears to be Simmons. It’s not the fact that he has to have meet-cutes and flirt with Simmons but that it isn’t his Simmons. And he thinks the lovey-doveyness of it all may kill him if he can’t get back to reality.

Everybody Bets:

Everybody bets on how and when Grif and Simmons will finally get together and they’re all so invested in it that they keep setting up their own version of the bet. Told from each other characters’s pov. Haven’t decided how to end it (either they’re already together or it was one of cabooses wild stories that didn’t seem physically possible to work).

Girlfriend:

Simmons gets a girlfriends and Grif is kinda heartbroken because thought they were solid, not necessarily together, but surely they didn’t need anyone else. Now though if he hopes to get back to normal he may have to actually talk about his feelings, even if it kills him.

Churbex:

(Idk if this is the ship name for Church/Caboose/Tex but I like it and wanted to do at least one story with them)

I kissed you and your girlfriend at a party:

Basically that tweet where someone kisses a girl at a party and to make sure her boyfriend isn’t mad, kisses him too, but it’s Caboose kissing Church and Tex. Except in this case Caboose thinks he’s ruined their relationship and doesn’t know how to tell them, even though they’ve already accepted him into the polycule. Misunderstandings ensue.

Time Distortion AU

Simmons always looks so focused when Grif picks him up, it takes him far too much time to stop staring.

Everyone around has to stop from laughing because Simmons’ developing crush is far too obvious, but Grif either doesn’t see it or is ignoring it.

At this point in time, they all think they will be returned to their respective eras after Carolina’s mission is done.

Which is why Grif doesn’t act on his feelings (he totally does but neither Grif or Simmons realize they go on frequent dates on the beach) for Simmons and Kai isn’t putting up with this.

Surprisingly, Simmons doesn’t get why Donut makes the guys uncomfortable at first. He just gets a bit confused until he thinks about what he’s saying.

When it comes to fashion, obviously Donut tries to get everyone to be on his level of fabulous.

Simmons is very reluctant to show any bit of skin. Grif tries not to stare at his neck, but it’s hard. The sun is very bright and it makes everyone very sweaty.

Simmons isn’t attractive by his eras standards, but he’s incredibly pretty to Grif.

Wash actually relaxed a little around Simmons, it made Grif jealous because he didn’t know what they were talking about at the time.

They were talking about knifes and how they used them. Wash gave Simmons one of his favorites because Simmons’ had his broken by a couple of Zealots. Simmons was scared and sad because that’s his mom’s knife and it’s gone for good.

Wash started show Simmons knife tricks, it took a knife flying by that everyone realized they are a scary influence on each other and must be separated immediately.

Although none of that stops Simmons from getting cuddly with Grif as he chatters on about everything he’s learned.

One time Junior wanted to hear stories about “Dragons” and though Simmons was nervous he did his best to tell stories that didn’t involve dragons getting killed by knights but also make sure that he didn’t paint the knights as necessarily evil either.

Caboose added to story time means longer stories until they fall asleep.

Kai shoves Grif into the group so he’d be closer in the pile. Tucker sits with Junior and talks to Simmons about making him the hero of Junior’s next story with a bunch of girls too.

Kai is really pxssed at Grif so she flirts with Tucker.

Tucker hates having to do practice drills with Wash, Carolina, and Sarge.

When Simmons summons Tex and subsequently become under her protection, her and Shiela have become rivals. Shiela is still a tank but she wants full custody of Simmons. Her little tomato.

I don’t know, maybe they work together.

Sarge will make Simmons a good soldier just yet, he will also threatening Grif more than he was before because of Simmons apparent crush.

He’ll only accept his best solider dating his worst if his worst solider can shape up and prove himself!

Grif is suffering, well his cool guy without a care act is because Simmons is so fxcking cute. He could go on and on and wax poetics that he never lets anyone read. Kai will make sure Simmons at least sees some of the poems and makes sure Grif sees the super secret love letters in Simmons’ diary.
