🍁 Autumn & Halloween Prompt List 🎃
It's about to get spoopy up in here. We wanted to do something special not only to celebrate everyone's favorite season but also to honor the amazing writers and creators on Tumblr.
Most of us are creators of some kind — whether that be writers, gifmakers, or artists — and this time of year is hard. We start running into fatigue + the scariest thing during the whole Halloween season: creator's block.
✨ Cue the prompt list ✨
This prompt list is split into three groups: dialogue, scenario, and NSFW prompts. Each section has 31 prompts which are sorted with more general autumn themes first and Halloween-specific prompts after that.
A HUGE HUGE thank you to Shawni (@austin-butlers-gf), Sage (@fangirlwithasweettooth), Kenzie (@fangirl-imagines), & Gabby (@dontbesussis) for helping to create this lovely list!
Feel free to reblog + use for whatever it is that you create and post here on Tumblr! Happy Halloween and enjoy 👻 ♥️

Cintagram:
manipulative as FUCK. the only person he hasnt ever lied to is Circumcannon
speaking of which. he and Circumcannon still kiss/lhj
Circumcannon:
no ideas,,again😭😭😭
Hexadic:
same as all the others
Lycanthropy:
the only thing keeping he and Cubic from fistfighting each other every time they see each other is that they both know that 1) Dub WILL somehow find out and WILL get their asses and 2) Cubic is strong enough to actually kill Lycanthropy if they fight too hard. and Cubic doesnt wanna fling himself into boiling hot water (not literally ofc) + Lycanthropy doesnt wanna die to THIS bitch's hand
a lot of the other corrupted flowers see him as a "general"/"commander" due to Lythorus being leader of the (uncorrupted at least) flowers
should NOT be trusted with any kind of powertools ever
Circubit:
pretty close friends with Macabre
would absolutely dj in his spare time
world-wise hcs:
shape related:
spheres are the speediest out of all the shapes
cubes have a natural resistance to the cold
some flowers have the ability to live entirely underwater, its kinda like a "subtype" for them; theyre often referred to as "aquatic flowers"
flowers have fangs :3c chompers even!!!
spheres are the most likely out of any other shape "species" to be able to grow hair
flowers are naturally tall as shit!!!
flowers' spikes arent as "sharp" when theyre young- they "sharpen up" quite a bit as they get older, though
adding onto the last one, aquatic flowers' spikes are a little more on the duller side
other/unrelated to anything else:
some shapes dont have a "combat ability"
all of the group members of a certain area have meetups sometimes, and occasionally ALL of the groups meet up as a whole (pretty rare considering the size of Paradise, but it still happens at times!)
all the heroes have an odd obsession with going in and out of windows instead of doors. there could be an open door right next to a window and any one of them would still open the window and go right out of it

Reaching for Hope
These last few months have been filled with the most horrifying stories and images coming out of Palestine, DRC, Sudan, Yemen, and too many other places around the world. We, in the US, have seen our president- our political leaders- roll over and not only allow the atrocities to continue, but to actually financially support and arm the perpetrators, despite the majority of us screaming for them to stop. To me, there is little difference between the Democrats and the Republicans at this point. Both parties are bought and paid for by the same people. As a new presidential election is coming up, I can't in good conscious vote Democrat. Not after what I've seen. Not as long as they refuse to hear us when we tell them we don't want Genocide Joe Biden or any of his cabinet to run.
But what is the solution?
I hate the feeling of helplessness I feel. I hate watching the horrors being carried out with my tax dollars. I hate that our "leaders" are more concerned with keeping the money from groups like AIPAC than actually representing the people who voted for them. They have put my finger on the trigger and they won't let me let go.
I'm trying to figure out how to make my voice heard. I've reached out to my representatives. I've done what I can to amplify voices that need to be heard more than mine. I can't claim any special effort in following BDS boycotts because the truth is, these aren't brands I have a whole lot of intentional contact with in the first place. As for Starbucks and McDonald's, I don't like either place so, cutting them off took very little for my part. I do encourage you to avoid all of these businesses, though. I don't know what else to do.
I will not vote for Joe Biden if he runs again. I will do my best to find down ballot candidates who's values are more in line with mine, but I will not give my support to a man who sees the atrocities being committed in Palestine and gives billions and weapons to the people committing these crimes against humanity. If the DNC is smart, they will be actively looking for candidates who don't openly support genocide, but let's face it, we ALL know how smart the DNC is. So, barring some drastic change, barring the DNC running a candidate who isn't on the take from AIPAC, who will actually pull support from Israel as they try to wipe out an entire culture for the sake of oil, I will be voting third party. I'm considering voting for Claudia De la Cruz of the PSL party, but there's nearly a year left, so I'm open to shopping around.
I know there are those that will say that pulling votes away from Biden is essentially voting for Trump. I know that there are those that will say that if the Republicans take the office again, they'll gut our rights. To that, I say, a vote for Trump is a vote for Trump and a vote for Biden is a vote for Biden. If the DNC can't come up with a better candidate and a better reason to vote for them than the same fear mongering tactics they've been using for years, then Trump is the DNC's fault. What has the Democratic party done to ensure our rights? What protections for voting rights have they passed at a federal level? What protections for education? For bodily autonomy? How do we have FOURTEEN BILLION to spare for freakin ISRAEL, but nothing for public schools? Nothing for student loan relief? Nothing for public health? Police reform? What good is the Democratic party if their only real platform is "Vote Democrat because we're not that guy"? If your conscious tells you to vote for Biden in November, so be it. As for me, I can't look at the man without seeing the blood of innocent men, women and children dripping off of him.

This past International Workers Day, otherwise known as May Day, I attended my local rally. The same old May Day groups were in attendance, Party for Socialist Liberation (PSL), Communist Party USA (CPUSA), Democratic Socialists of America (DSA), and a couple other single issue labor groups. The endless tedium of speeches aside, something strange stood out to me. Every group called for left unity in some way or another. “Unite as workers to crush capitalism,” was the exact quote from the young man in running shoes, jeans, and a bright red PSL shirt. I could have spoken up and made a scene, again, but I feel it is more effective to broadly address why this call for left unity is absurd especially considering the Marxist historical revisionism surrounding May Day. The success of May Day was directly because of the anarchist Haymarket Martyrs and the Marxist attempt to ignore this fact is one of the many reasons why left unity is never in the best interest of anarchists.
Before we begin, it is important to go over the events of the Haymarket uprising on May 4th, 1886. The first May Day was called for by the Federation of Organized Trades and Labor Unions (FOTLU) as the official first day the eight-hour workday in 1886. On May 1st 1886, between 30,000 and 80,000 laborers in Chicago refused to work in support of the eight hour day, which shut down the industrial zones. August Spies, a German-born anarchist and leading contributor to the newspaper Arbeiter-Zeitung, was enthused by the unity and relative success of the eight-hour fight.[1] The McCormick Reaper Works’ solution, instead of meeting the demands of the workers, was to hire scabs. On May 3rd, 1886, striking workers from the McCormick Plant asked Spies to come down to the Southwest side of Chicago and give a speech to bolster morale. Minutes into Spies speech, the scabs began filing out of the plant and the McCormick strikers rushed to the gates of the factory. To protect the business and scabs, 200 police officers rushed in and beat the strikers with clubs and shot them with pistols. According to Spies, 6 strikers were killed including those that were shot in the back as they fled. Spies knew that the battle had been lost and returned to his newspaper office with the sound of screams and pistol fire still ringing in his ear.
That night, August Spies rushed into print several thousand leaflets urging workingmen to come to a meeting the next day, May 4th, at Haymarket Square.[2] The next day, the anarchists August Spies, Albert Parsons, and the Rev. Samuel Fielden spoke to a crowd estimated variously between 600 and 3,000. At around 10:30 PM as Fielden spoke, the police showed up despite the peaceful nature of the crowd. As they ordered the crowd to disperse, a bomb was thrown into the advancing officers, killing 6. The Police then opened fire on the anarchists killing 4 and some of the anarchists returned fire killing another police officer. The Police argued it was a conspiracy and eight influential anarchists were arrested, including Spies and Parsons, who were not present but had significant influence in the community. On November 11th 1887, 4 convicted anarchists including Spices, Parsons, Adolph Fischer, and George Engle were hanged. The state executions further enraged the broader community and would be the catalyst for the International Workers Day.
The Haymarket Uprising was internationally significant. During the funeral procession for the anarchists in Chicago, the historian Philip Foner estimates, between 150,000 and 500,000 people lined the streets in support. Both the American Federation of Labor and the Knights of Labor, although initially reluctant, supported the slain anarchists as heroes of labor. The Knights of Labor even published the autobiographies of Parsons, Spies, Fischer, Engle, and the anarchist who killed himself in prison, Oscar Neebe.[3] The London Freedom group argued “No event in the worldwide evolution of the struggle between socialism and the existing order of society has been so important, so significant, as the tragedy of Chicago.”[4] According to the historian Paul Avrich, pamphlets and articles about the case and autobiographies of the martyrs appeared in every language across the world. In Europe, over twenty-four cities boasted sizeable protests in support of the Haymarket Martyrs.[5] Famous anarchists like Emma Goldman, Alexander Berkman, and Ricardo Flores Magón all attribute the Haymarket uprising to their radicalization. Moreover, it was not only Europe that celebrated the Haymarket Martyrs. The Times of London reported protests in Cuba, Peru, and Chile.[6] Mary Harris “Mother” Jones was in Mexico on May Day, 1921, and wrote that their May Day was expressly in honor of “the killing of the workers in Chicago for demanding the eight-hour day.”[7] More to this point, during a trip to Mexico in 1939, Oscar Neebe’s grandson was shown a mural by Diego Rivera in the Palace of Justice depicting the Haymarket Martyrs.[8] The international significance of the Haymarket Martyrs was undeniable in the hearts and imagination of all of the Left and is a significant element in the success of May Day.
The success of May Day internationally is thanks to the slain anarchists yet Marxist leadership intentionally omitted the significance of the Haymarket Martyrs to further purge anarchism from the historical record. In 1889, just a few years after the execution, the Marxist International Socialist Congress, who would later form the “Second International,” chose May 1st to celebrate international workers. However, nowhere in the Second International’s proclamation was the slightest mention of anarchism or the Haymarket Martyrs’ sacrifice for the eight-hour workday. The historian Philip Foner in 1969 therefore needed to write an entire book to remind the reader that other than pushing for the eight-hour workday, the secondary purpose of the establishment of International Workers Day on May 1st was to honor the Haymarket Martyrs. He argues “there is little doubt that everyone associated with the resolution passed by the Paris Congress knew of the May 1st demonstrations and strikes for the eight-hour day in 1886 in the United States … and the events associated with the Haymarket tragedy.” [9]
This slight against anarchists should come as no surprise considering the Second International broke with the First International Workingmen’s Association to exclude anarchists. The few anarchist members that refused to leave the Second International were barred from contributing. Member William Morris reveals, “expressions of anarchist ideas were often shouted down, and in one incident Francesco Saverio Merlino faced violence from the other delegates.”[10] The later Soviets were no stranger to historical revisionism either. Whether it is Stalin painting himself into pictures alongside Lenin or more typically painting out figures, like Trotsky, from the historical narrative. Famous member of the Communist Party USA’s central committee and founder of International Publishing, Alexander Trachtenberg, published the definitive “History of May Day” in 1932 and did not mention the word anarchism once.[11] Therefore, the Marxists of the Second international developed the May Day holiday to appropriate the international success of the anarchist Haymarket martyrs, while actively excluding anarchist thought from their sphere of influence.
Rosa Luxemburg also actively excluded mentioning the Haymarket Martyrs, which prominent Social Democrat publications like Jacobin choose to publish to further marginalize anarchist ideas. In 2016, Jacobin magazine published Luxemburg’s “What are the Origins of May Day.” In this article, Luxemburg argued that in 1856, the Australian workers call for complete work stoppages in support for the 8-hour workday influenced the American and then International development of May Day.[12] She claims that the Australians call to action was the primary source of inspiration for The International Workers Congress in 1890. While this is most likely true, she does not mention anarchists at all in her story. Not only did Luxemburg choose to ignore the impact of the Haymarket anarchists, but Jacobin’s intentional publication of her work in 2016 illustrated this same interest in erasure. Therefore, it becomes clear that both the Communists and the contemporary Social Democrats reinterpret history in order to ignore the global impact of anarchism on the working-class.
This active historical revisionism from popular Marxists is what makes May Day speeches calling for “left unity” ridiculous. Let us, for a moment, ignore the legacy of anarchist oppression from the Soviet Union to Cuba. The fact that both the Second International to contemporary Marxists willfully ignore the centrality of anarchism to organized labor and the establishment of the eight-hour workday is ahistorical. The fact that they suppress anarchist history and call for unity on the day that anarchist ancestors gave their lives for labor’s cause is bullshit. The eight-hour work day was a compromise for the abolition of waged labor. Let us not compromise our principles again by unifying with Marxists that work to undermine us at every opportunity.

If you’re feeling hopeless and bad, btw, the answer is to organize.
Are you state politicians criminalizing trans people? Organize. Go to city council to try and create a trans sanctuary city. Find candidates in your state who are running on progressive platforms and volunteer in their campaigns.
Are there book bannings at your local library? ORGANIZE. Get people together. Go to your county board and protest, email, call, harass. Picket outside the library.
Worried about climate change? Organize!! Get people together to support state bills which help your causes! Call your local city council! Get in touch with
Unsure how to organize? Woah! Organize! Groups like the DSA, the League of Women Voters, the IWW, PSL, fucking Run For Something or the goddamn ACLU will all either have local chapters, nearby chapters, or a list of resources if you email them.
Organizing is as simple as showing up and getting people together, and it works. It works down both sides of the aisle. Begging on my hands and knees for people to understand that queer activism, the civil rights movement, and worker’s rights were not just a result of a few good marches, they were the result of years and years and years of building power and consolidating a base which could be relied on. This is how you impact change.

One thing I think a lot of people who don't do IRL activism (not a value judgement just a description) don't realize is that someone's political radicalism is often not an indicator of how much they are willing to escalate.
This is true both of Palestinian activism and of all sorts of progressive causes (LGBT, BLM, etc.)
Tons of people doing direct action and getting arrested right now are still committed to nonviolence, whether it's INN or your local elderly interfaith coalition. They might be perfectly happy to disavow xyz group, but they are also making a direct impact for Palestine that the average masked marcher does not.
Similarly, a lot of people online and irl who argue for resistance by any means necessary are not actually putting themselves on the line. PSL and WOL both take this stance in theory, but they stay behind their banners and by and large don't put themselves in any danger. Same with most SJP groups--not saying there's no good reason to keep students out of jail, but it's more complicated than principles=action.
(And whatever good things can be said about Pal Action, they are tiny. Cool people, outsized impact, but tiny.)
My point is not to discredit differing opinions or approaches, but to show that these things absolutely do not correlate IRL. There are people facing decades in prison for protesting for Palestine in the past few months who still believe in a 2 state solution. There are friends of Standing Together with the "🟣" in their bios who are facing felony charges for their solidarity work.
You don't have to give their orgs money, but it does no good to ignore this, either. I think it takes all kinds, but I'd urge anyone reading this not to assume that anyone less vocally left-wing than them is doing less.
Conversely, if your local super lefty thawabit-upholding student group is just marching in circles and you want to do more involved stuff, your local JVP chapter can probably point you in the right direction.
No rbs bc I want to flesh this idea out some more before sharing.

Achieving multicolor persistent and photostimulated luminescence through trap distribution engineering
Electron-trapping materials (ETMs) with persistent luminescence (PersL) or photostimulated luminescence (PSL) hold great promise for versatile applications, due to their distinctive characteristics of energy harvesting and controllable release. However, available ETMs are generally restricted to a single mode of PersL or PSL, which impedes their applications, such as high-resolution imaging, wide-range detection, and multiple information encryption. In a study published in Matter, the research group led by Prof. Chen Xueyuan from Fujian Institute of Research on the Structure of Matter of the Chinese Academy of Sciences proposed a unique strategy for the X-ray-activated multicolor PersL and PSL phosphors based on lanthanide (Ln3+)-doped Cs2NaGdF6, achieving for the first time both multicolor (311–1536 nm) PersL of more than one week and tunable PSL with a broad response from ultraviolet to near-infrared light.

is tea ever going to get it's time in the spotlight as the newest soyboy cuck food or ???
reasons I think tea has not been targeted as an "unmanly" food in the culture wars:
growing fatphobia and body image issues among men has produced a large group of "tummy tea" drinkers among misogynists so shaming men from drinking tea has to take a backseat to telling people to drink tea so they can shit themselves into losing weight
Lingering affects of the Tea Party movement in the US, it's hard to maintain the right's illusions of high masculinity standards if everyone in the GOP has former Tea Party connections and tea is a sign of femininity
the shift from "avoid being a feminine soyboy" to "actively pursue being a masculine chad" has just kinda....erased the concept of soy as a feminizing force because soy protein is a common workout powder and generally easier to find than whey or other proteins. Tea can't be a new soyboy food to avoid if anti-soyboys are purchasing soy in other forms. Like the foundation has been erased so there's nothing to build off of
chai tea lattes had a chance at becoming the "basic white girl cafe drink" but then starbucks started pushing an annual campaign to have that be pumpkin spice lattes instead, thus weakening the connection between women and tea. And since then, matcha lattes and more recently earl grey lattes/london fogs, the former of which has that tummy tea-style selling points of like pretending to be an ancient herbal remedy that is also a superfood packed with nutrients so therefore it's ok for men to drink and the latter is literally a man's title, an earl, so both have a weaker basic white girl connection than chai nearly had if not for PSLs. Oh yeah, golden milk/golden lattes/tumeric tea is also slotting into the same space as matcha
Big Chamomile is working with Big Sick/Big COVID to keep everyone more sick more often to sell more chamomile tea and the only gender connection chamomile tea has is with the person making it for you, your mom, because she's you're mom and you are sick. Trying to make an association between the person drinking the tea and chamomile tea would be like doing that for chicken broth or wearing a scarf and winter hat while wrapped up in blankets in bed, you do that stuff because you're sick not because of your gender

Olympique Lyonnais Le Progrès Article (August 25, 2023)
I hate conspiracy theories almost as much as I hate social justice keyboard warriors, so this is both to nip any conspiracy theory in the bud and also me taking out frustration at people's inability to think critically.
Blah blah you already know this. @OL Comms: a grande PSL with soy milk and whipped cream comes to $5.95 xoxo
Lyon - Ajax: The Return of Griedge M'Bock
Almost a year after her second major injury, the center back is part of the group selected for the game on Saturday against Ajax, and could play a few minutes.
It's just a step but it's an important one. Almost a year after the surgery to repair her ACL, the result of an injury during a game with the French National Team on September 6, 2022, Griedge M'Bock is back with the team to play the third preseason game of the season, against Ajax on Saturday morning.
Excellent news for Lyon and especially for the international defender, whose career was already put on hold following a severe injury to her Achilles tendon in 2020. "We'll see at the last minute, depending on how the game is going, whether we can give her her first minutes," Sonia Bompastor confirmed.
After pretty much five weeks of preseason without her 14 international players taking part in the World Cup, the Lyon head coach is slowly replenishing her arsenal. Six of them returns this week, three of which were given the all clear to be part of the group: Dabritz, Gilles, and Horan. Hegerberg and Majri nonetheless took part in the team training whereas no risk was taken for Dumornay, who suffering a small ankle injury during the World Cup. The return of Endler in goal should also be noted, who missed the game against Olympique de Marseille. As a reminder, the French international players (Renard, Bacha, Becho, Le Sommer, and Diani) and Dutch internationals ([Damaris] Egurrola and van de Donk) are expected back on Monday, a few days before the Australian Ellie Carpenter. "They had a good mental break, and they're not starting from scratch, physically, after the World Cup. They suffered from disappointment during the World Cup but they're coming back with big smiles and it's very positive."
Against Ajax, the reigning Dutch champions who have only played one preseason game (a 3-0 loss against Paris FC), the Lyon head coach is expecting a better defensive performance after the 3-3 draw against Olympique de Marseille. One last preseason game is scheduled around September 2 before the camp in Divonne and the Trophee des Championnes on September 10 against PSG.

it’s increasingly common but it didn’t used to be the way it is now. i have a lot of thoughts about minor reasons for its spread, most of which would be obvious to you and everyone reading this but some of which have to do with power struggles & opportunism around socialist swork organizing—neither here nor there but useful to think through.
the best i can manage from my phone at work: af4irmpilled is a reference to the group spelled af4irm with a 3 instead of a 4 which i won’t type out explicitly because they’re shady. not going to get into the long history of this (which is both credibly disputed and openly lied about) but they’re a formerly liberal feminist transnational-identified anti-trafficking organization with a history (like every single anti trafficking organization) of cooperating with police and participating in among other things stings that targeted sex workers and resulted in sex workers being brought into the criminal system etc. over the past several years, for reasons i find both interesting if horrifying, they have repositioned themselves as mlm or at least communist aligned and employed a strategy of (i’m going to say infiltrate, brace yourself) infiltrating various kinds of leftist spaces including close affiliation with one white-hosted communist podcast that people imo credibly think is a long RICO operation lol. sorry to fedjacket but forreal.
anyway their strategies are really effective—there is no way to imagine someone as high profile as nick estes platforming regular psl style swerf positions, and imo there is no reason that i (though i don’t know him well) can see to believe he had any organic beliefs or connections to this etc. he just had af4irm members on his podcast (last year i think it was).
what was interesting about it (have not listened but i could) is that instead of doing what they used to do, which was lead with “exploitation of women” and trojan horse the rest, they lead with “here is why sex work is not work.” it’s really alarming to say the least!
while idk one way or another whether he continues to follow that line or cares, i use the language of pilled because i have for several years watched this org use strategies equal to terfs and certain redpill movements to suck in and appropriate people—including in my real life organizing. not going to say the word but i legitimately believe it.
while almost universally there are no labor organizers in this org (certain among this milieu will say they’re a labor organizer but it turns out they mean they work for like wrld wtht exploitation lol) but on the west coast, where for probably obvious reasons labor is a lot more entangled with other kinds of social welfare ngos, there are exception. there is one semi prominent social worker member of af4irm who is a high profile staff labor organizer for educators (she has both reported that she was herself a school counselor and that she was never school staff, not sure which is true). she was a public face for a certain historic labor event at which point she built relationships in the labor left so you will see her around talking about it. she was platformed recently in some kind of call where they had [expert face of the labor movement]—i believe this was from [non union higher ed labor advocacy coalition] which is trying to initiate labor organizing training programming in the style of EWOC i think. anyway she was on there and i know about it. how do i know about it? a young labor organizer (currently about to unionize something that’s never been unionized before, can’t wait to tell you about it) came to me.
“they had this lady on here who was involved with [strike]. she offhandedly mentioned the words “sex trafficking” and i was like huh that’s weird and feels like a dog whistle. then i thought about all the stuff you told me about trafficking. so i googled her and it turns out she works for af4irm. freaked me out.”
