In the Hibiscus Hut in Sulani, Perlas of St. Taz cooked herself some vegetable casserole. She misses her Rose dearly, but she knows that she will meet her again in time. For now, she occupies herself by helping the locals with their errands, touring foreign tourists, and consulting the island elementals. Perlas is glad that the dark energy the elementals had sensed before is gone and has not yet returned. Though, she knows that she shouldn’t relax; she needs to continue being cautious.

For now, she waits until she and Rose meet, and finally be in union.

There are exceptions of course but by and large I find the 90s/early 2000s britcom set up of never letting the main characters get a win, and being able to treat darker subjects with a sort of nihilistic humour so much more compelling than the current trend of comedy series trying to tie each episode in bite sized pieces of character growth and heartwarming tales tbh

The red just WORKS (also holy hell, this version of redheaded matt is hot as fuckin SIN, I am BARKING I am HOWLING), the mingling of gold, the tie in of blood on his knuckles and mouth so you know this king will absolutely swing when he needs to. The detail work of the stubble, the glow in the bronze, the subtle hearts on the left side, HE'S WEARING A GODDAMN PUFFY RED PIRATE SHIRT I LOVE THOSE. His mouth also looks just shy of a smirk and I'm here for it.

Savoury Squirrel Bakes - a recipe from the official Redwall cookbook, which I received when I was like 8. It involves potatoes, cheese, and chives all rolled in egg and then breadcrumbs and then baked. Ridiculously delicious.
