Send Me A Character
Racules
Favorite thing about them I really love his expressions and mannerisms. I like how he widens his eyes when he's annoyed and the way he handles his sword. He's under constant pressure but has to keep his composure but he slips a bit from time to time which I enjoy. I appreciate it all the more knowing that it's an act he's playing up, which I thought it was, but confirmation just made it better. Him playing it up parallels with Gira, although Racules went further with it.
Some more Racules thoughts - Note that some things are outdated as this post was made early on in the series
Least favorite thing about them He raised the taxes in Shuggodam, or did he? It's never mentioned past episode one, so I literally don't know if he raised the taxes himself or if the tax collector was making an error. It seems like it's used as a hint of Racules not being as great as the people think, but I would like more elaboration on that. Also he was planning to kill the scientists working on figuring out the secrets of the Ohgercalibur Zero, however there was a sense of guilt and dread about doing this. Racules does make a lot of empty threats so his threats all need to be taken with a grain of salt honestly.
Favorite line I'll give you a few:
"If I stood to gain more power... Then I would sell my soul to the devil himself!" - When talking to Jeramie about colluding with the Bugnarak to attack other nations - Really playing it up with an evil laugh and everything, leaving Jeramie stunned
"I am the nation." - Signature line that Racules uses throughout the series to elavate himself above others
"I have returned from the depths of hell." - Reiterating Gira's declaration when he appeared before Racules after having been thought to be dead by the world - Shows both a parallel between them and how they both are playing up their evil king roles.
brOTP Racules & Kaguragi - Scheming with my brother-in-law - What if my sister got engaged to you so that our nation could benefit from the demi Shugods, but she's also scheming for me to possibly take your throne. And what if we were liars who had little schemes and manipulated the people around us to get what we want, but we were both kings?
OTP Suzume & Racules - Literally married - They lived together for over a decade and were engaged in that time. The marriage was under an agreement between Shugoddam and Toufu, but I do feel there's genuine care between Racules and the Dybowski family, hence why he puts trust in them. With Suzume it's like there is some parts that are an act but others aren't. I'm not really sure how to explain it but I do feel Racules cares for Suzume's well-being as he does Douga, hence why he allowed them to run away when Desnarak took over Shugoddam and Racules was backed into a corner. He also never pushes away or denies her affections, although he may seem a bit awkward about it.

nOTP Aside from the obvious, I haven't seen any that are prominent enough to be labelled this.
Random headcanon Racules enjoys cooking but rarely does it - Based on nothing I just like the idea
Unpopular opinion I don't think Racules was ever obligated to take care of Gira. I also don't think Racules just straight up decided to abandon Gira at the drop of a hat, the situation is more complicated than that. Racules is morally gray, much like many other characters in Sentai have been, he uses questionable methods in order to do what he believes is right and in the grand scheme of things may be right. Racules needed to do a lot of things to get Dugded's trust to get the power he needed to break the Husty lineage from Dugded by killing Dugded. In short, Racules is no worse than characters like Rio from Gekiranger or Burai from Zyuranger.
Song I associate with them
Favorite picture of them I have so many photos of Racules, but this one's my current favorite:

Jeramie
Favorite thing about them Again with the expressions and mannerisms. I like how he smiles big smiles and how sad his eyes look when he's upset. When he meets his mother again and his lips are quivering and he's on the brink of tears but also in shock... peak.
Least favorite thing about them In his early appearances he'd casually use his silk to create images and spell out words but now he mainly uses his silk for average things like making webs to lament in or grabbing things. Favorite line Here's a bunch:
"We'll see how much I amuse them." - Using subtext to scheme
"Besides, this time... I have people who worry about me... My good friends." - Jeramie and Gira talking about how Jeramie is doing after taking the fall for his fellow kings
"Well, now!" - Signature phrase that he uses throughout the series
"Instead of ruling over everything... I once again find myself ruing over everything." - Jeramie lamenting after his plans just make the situation worse
"I will never surrender my protagonist status again." - After lamenting and sorting out his feelings about Daisorg being revived and Racules working with the Bugnarak, along with his role in it all
"It seems I was the one who didn't read between the lines." - Jeramie learning that he has misinterpreted the situation and didn't understand the true extent of Hymeno's grief
"The fate of the world itself is my story to dictate." - Jeramie declaring his role not long after meeting the kings
brOTP Yanma & Jeramie - Webdev - They're just really fun
OTP Jeramie & Gira - Soulmates actually - I wrote about them here
nOTP -
Random headcanon Jeramie doesn't like the taste of peppermint - Based on the fact that spiders don't tend to like the scent of peppermint, but Jeramie is part human so I'd think he wouldn't mind the scent too much but the taste would be too much
Unpopular opinion Jeramie took 2 years to be comfortable to bring his sleeve up to his elbow, and dresses head to toe daily. He wouldn't wear revealing clothing casually.
Song I associate with them
Favorite picture of them Again, I have a lot of pictures but here's my favorite right now:

For the Character Ask: Yuuki Terumi
send me a character and i’ll list:
favorite thing about them: How much of an utter asshole he actively chooses to be. Even just funniness aside, and he is incredibly funny, I think Terumi willingly choosing to BE as much of an asshole as he can possibly be just because he likes being an asshole, damn what everyone else thinks or feels, as the ultimate act of rebellion and freedom as what is basically god's mindless defense system growing a soul out of a desire for freedom from its task fucking owns. He's genuinely one of my favorite characters in all of fiction
least favorite thing about them: The piss yellow rain coat. There's some concept art of him that looks cooler. Hell there's a lot of alts that look better, color scheme wise. I wish it wasn't that exact shade of yellow. Even orange suits him much more.
favorite line: Where to fucking start? On the serious side of things, the entire arcade mode ending rant in continuum shift. I've got the whole thing memorized due to the hammy delivery Now… Murakumo, activate! This world is nothing but lies! Lemme show you what I like to call the truth! The truth called "despair!" In the name of Susano'o, I command you! Murakumo, AWAKEN! Behold, the sword of the god-slayer, KUSANAGI! Let all lies fall before your divine blade! Gaahahahaha! Finally, I've got the true successor to the Azure! Try and stop me NOW, Master Unit Amaterasu! Second is: How many years... How many years? Oh, how many years I've waited. How many times has this been repeated? How many hundreds of times?! How many THOUSANDS?! ONE HUNDRED THOUSANDS?! MILLIONS?! TRILLIONS?! I've repeated this worthless comedy show more times than I can count! Hmhmhmhm... Yes... Just a little bit more... Just a bit more, and it will be within reach — the lost "Embryo". Once that's done, this shitty, worthless comedy show will end. And on the comedic side of things: Basically everything he says during any given gag reel, with special attention given to the band gag reel.
brOTP: Him and Hazama. They're like shithead twins and the closest thing either of them is ever gonna have to a friend. Also, him and Ragna but specifically in the band gag reel.
OTP: Him and Relius. See the Relius post for my thoughts. Also, canon marriage.
nOTP: Him and Ragna. I get that people love putting together the main character and villain guys to do yaoi, but also, those two hate each other way too fucking much for that to even result in actual yaoi. They'd bite each other to death before anything like that happened.
random headcanon: Absolutely starts random internet discourse to both feed off of the hatred and because he thinks it's fun.
unpopular opinion: Terumi is a saturday morning cartoon villain on a morality level and probably one of the worst people in all of fiction, but at the same time, he has a lot more depths and interesting things to him than most people give him credit for, even including people who /do/ like him.
song i associate with them: The LA Vocal version of Endless Despair. WAILING WAILING. A LOUD CRY.
favorite picture of them: There's a lot of really good terumi pictures out there but I think I'll go with the slutty pose he does while showing Hazama some major revelations about his own existence.

Character ask: Hades and Persephone
I'll give my answers for the mythical characters, and in Hades' case, for Disney's Hercules. I'm not familiar with Hadestown despite it's popularity, so I have nothing to say about those versions of Hades and Persephone, or any other modern reimaginings.
Hades
Favorite thing about them: In classical mythology, I like the fact that, while stern and grim, he's a just god and not cruel, and has fewer stories of petty or sadistic deeds attached to him than most of the other gods and goddesses. It's too bad that modern Western culture tends to conflate him with the Christian Satan and portray him as the token evil god, because to the Greeks he wasn't.
In Disney's Hercules, even though he's a classic example of a demonized, Satan-conflated Hades, he's still one of the best Disney villains: a funny one with a witty "used car salesman" personality, yet imposing when he needs to be, and easy to "love to hate."
Least favorite thing about them: In mythology, the kidnapping of Persephone. In Disney's Hercules, the fact that he's a villain who tries to kill Hercules, imprison the other gods and goddesses, and take over Olympus.
Three things I have in common with them:
*I have dark hair, as he's traditionally described.
*I don't leave my home very often.
*Like Disney's Hades, I have a temper. (Though I don't literally blaze with fire.)
Three things I don't have in common with them:
*I'm female.
*I'm not a deity of the Underworld.
*I would never kidnap anyone.
Favorite line:
From The Homeric Hymn to Demeter:
"Go now, Persephone, to your dark-robed mother, go, and feel kindly in your heart towards me: be not so exceedingly cast down; for I shall be no unfitting husband for you among the deathless gods, that am own brother to father Zeus. And while you are here, you shall rule all that lives and moves and shall have the greatest rights among the deathless gods: those who defraud you and do not appease your power with offerings, reverently performing rites and paying fit gifts, shall be punished for evermore."
From Disney's Hercules:
"So is this an audience or a mosaic?"
"Memo to me: maim you after my meeting,"
"I've got twenty-four hours to get rid of this bozo, or the entire scheme I've been setting up for eighteen years goes up in smoke, and you are wearing his merchandise!!!"
"We dance, we kiss, we schmooze, we carry on, we go home happy. What do you say? Come on."
brOTP: His divine brothers and sisters, when they're not pitted against each other.
OTP: Persephone, in the versions of the myth where their marriage is ultimately happy.
nOTP: In Disney's Hercules, Meg. In mythology, well... I hope no one ever ships him with Cerberus!
Random headcanon: For Disney's Hercules: Even though the ending implies that he'll be trapped in the depths of the River Styx forever, I think he'll eventually get out. He can't drown, after all, he's immortal, and even if it takes him a few centuries, he'll eventually get out and cause trouble again. But he'll always be defeated in the end.
Unpopular opinion: While I agree that it's unfair to constantly demonize him, I also think it's fair to portray him as the antagonist of the Persephone myth and not romanticize her kidnapping. That said, I don't think retellings that romanticize their marriage are inherently bad and problematic either – it all depends on how the story is told. But either way, I do think it's high time that mythology adaptations stop portraying him as the single dark, cruel god in contrast to the benevolent, shining Olympians. That's distorting the myths through a Christian lens. Zeus and most of the other Olympians also chased and kidnapped unwilling love interests, and did many even worse deeds too. They're all morally gray.
Song I associate with them: None in particular.

Gian Lorenzo Bernini's statue The Abduction of Proserpina, from the 1620s:

And in a drastic change from the elegance above, these pictures from Disney's Hercules:

Persephone
Favorite thing about them: Her status as a nature goddess who embodies the changing seasons makes her a fascinating character. Not only does she split her time between the upper world and the Underworld, but as a result she has a dual personality – the gentle, sunny goddess of spring, and the stern, feared queen of the dead – which makes her unique among the Greek deities.
Least favorite thing about them: The fact that in some versions of the story of Minthe (the nymph who became the first mint plant after her death), she brutally kills the poor nymph out of jealousy of Hades' affair with her. Fortunately, not all versions of the myth go this way – in another version, it's Demeter who kills Minthe for boasting that she's more beautiful than Persephone.
Three things I have in common with them:
*I have both a light side and a dark side.
*I'm close to my mother.
*I like pomegranates.
Three things I don't have in common with them:
*I'm not married.
*I've never been kidnapped.
*I'm not a goddess.
Favorite line:
Her account of her kidnapping from The Homeric Hymn to Demeter:
"We were playing and gathering sweet flowers in our hands, soft crocuses mingled with irises and hyacinths, and rose-blooms and lilies, marvellous to see, and the narcissus which the wide earth caused to grow yellow as a crocus. That I plucked in my joy; but the earth parted beneath, and there the strong lord, the Host of Many, sprang forth and in his golden chariot he bore me away, all unwilling, beneath the earth: then I cried with a shrill cry. All this is true, sore though it grieves me to tell the tale."
brOTP: Her mother Demeter (in traditional versions of the myth where they have a warm, loving bond, not the versions where Demeter is controlling and Persephone is glad to escape from her), and the nymphs with whom she plays and picks flowers just before Hades kidnaps her.
OTP: Hades, in the versions of the myth where their marriage is ultimately happy.
nOTP: Her father Zeus. Brother/sister incest and uncle/niece or aunt/nephew incest might be normal for Greek gods and goddesses, but not parental incest!
Random headcanon: This isn't a headcanon so much as "which of the different versions of her myth I like best." I prefer the Homeric Hymn to Demeter's claim that Persephone spends just four months each year with Hades, and eight months with Demeter, to Ovid's claim that she spends six months with each. In versions where she's happily married to Hades, then I can accept the equal time split, but if we take the traditional view that she was kidnapped and married against her will, then I prefer for her to spend most of the year on earth and only a small amount of time in the Underworld. Besides, in my experience at least (though I know climates vary), autumn is a pleasant time, with comfortable weather and with so many fruits and vegetables at their best. It makes more sense to me that Persephone should still be with Demeter then.
Unpopular opinion: I'm open to different interpretations of her story. There's no such thing as "one true meaning" of any myth. I can accept versions where Hades is sympathetic, where Persephone falls truly in love with him (whether she starts out as his prisoner but then is slowly drawn to to him, a la Beauty and the Beast, or whether she goes with him willingly from the start), where she comes into her own power as his queen, and where she willingly eats the pomegranate seeds, knowing full well that they'll bind her to Hades, because she wants to stay. I see the appeal of taking Persephone's traditional story of helpless victimhood and making it empowering instead – which is valid, because she's always portrayed as a powerful queen in the myths of the Underworld set after her marriage. I see the appeal of not demonizing Hades either, and of telling a romantic love story rather than a story of a miserable forced marriage. But I also see the value of versions where Hades is the villain, where Persephone is brutally kidnapped and just as unhappy in the Underworld as Demeter is on earth without her daughter, where she's either forced to eat the pomegranate seeds or naïvely eats them without knowing what the result will be, and where the ending is bittersweet, as she divides each year between happy months with her mother and sad months in the Underworld. It is valid to read the myth as an allegory for the pain of a mother and daughter separated by the daughter's loveless arranged marriage, and/or for a young girl's death and her mother's grief. Myths can be retold in many ways, with many possible meanings. I'm open to them all.
Song I associate with them: None in particular.

for character headcanons: klinger and margaret
Klinger
1: sexuality headcanon
Flexible. Hard to label because his gender is hard to label/he doesn't canonically seem to claim anything other than cishet. But I 100% see him as someone who says he's a straight man and then enjoys being a woman and will also totally have relationships/sex with men. He doesn't care about coloring in the lines of any chosen label.
2: otp
I can't help it, I love canon for this. Soon Lee is perfect for him and I just died when she said she wanted to see him in a dress sometime. I also love to imagine that he and Henry hooked up before the war.
3: brotp
Mulcahy. They gamble together, they both have black market connections, and they care about a lot of the same things in some really sweet ways. I love it when we see them team up on things, and I love their interactions in church and gambling in backrooms. They deeply respect each other and their differences and I love that.
4: notp
Winchester. My apologies to those who love this, but Charles has often done wrong by Klinger, and it's just a no for me.
5: first headcanon that pops into my head
Post-war tailor shop that secretly serves the queer community. Who else in Toledo knows how to tailor women's clothes to masculine bodies?
6: one way in which I relate to this character
I would also trade away my favorite salami for an incredibly personal gift for a friend and then take zero credit for it (it would embarrass me to be acknowledged).
7: thing that gives me secondhand embarrassment about this character
I don't think anything Klinger does embarrasses me. I'm furious about some things on his behalf, like how everyone treats him when he decorates, but I can't think of any embarrassment.
8: cinnamon roll or problematic fave?
Cinnamon roll all the way through.
Margaret
1: sexuality headcanon
This is fun because I recently changed my mind. I now hc her as aromantic. I always thought of her as bi/queer, but I've been thinking a lot recently about the possibility of her being aromantic and how that intersects with her perception of her gender and related expectations. The happiest liaison she has is the carefree one night stand after her divorce where she really embraces her freedom to not worry about all the trappings of romance. She tries so hard to fit into this box of the woman who needs a man and marriage, and we see her fumble with this idealistic romance after sleeping with Hawkeye and with Scully. We also see her really happy when eschewing traditional gender roles with Frank, and although she keeps asking him for romance, it either goes horribly wrong or seems to really be about sex and not much more. I don't know, I got rambly, but I like my new headcanon.
2: otp
Herself. I know this is kind of cheating, but I kinda want Margaret to be single and become part of the 60s free love thing. Eschewing marriage and boxes and embracing bodily autonomy seems right up her alley, and I want her to find happiness without being tied to any one person. I want her to love herself.
3: brotp
Hawkeye. They are the best besties and should be best friends forever. I want Margaret and Hawkeye to get together and gossip about their various sexual escapades and scheme together to set up an illegal abortion clinic.
4: notp
Power imbalances in either direction. This isn't one specific person but more about her characterization of someone who sleeps with generals. I am incredibly creeped out by the implication that some of them are her father's friends. I also think she wouldn't sleep with someone who she commands because she'd be uncomfortable with the power imbalance (she makes a comment at some point about how she's dating Frank because he's a Major) - she already struggles to even be friends with those she commands.
5: first headcanon that pops into my head
She has 100% explored her sexuality with both Lorraine and Helen.
6: one way in which I relate to this character
All of those feelings about expectations - from the expectations of her parents to behaving professionally to gender.
7: thing that gives me secondhand embarrassment about this character
The shrieking over Radar waking her up and other similar things. She's so quick to assume he's a creep and doesn't give him the benefit of the doubt (tbf, he does peek in the nurses' shower, but he pretty much always treats her with respect).
8: cinnamon roll or problematic fave?
*sigh* I want her to be a cinnamon roll (and by the end she's pretty much there), but she definitely starts out as problematic. She has so much character growth, and I love her.

Capricorn, Basta and Gwin
Capricorn: Who are your top 3 otps?
I am a simple woman.
Roxanne x Dustfinger: Love conquers all. Love is all you need. Love is stored in the bread.
Resa x Dustfinger: He has two hands 🙏No seriously, I think their relationship is super interesting. For a while they were pretty much all the other had and I think they developed a pretty intense trauma bond for a while there... and yet they were both absolutely still in love with their respective partners that were just out of reach. No offense @ Mo, all the best for his marriage, he's a great husband (most of the time) but Resa and Dustfinger are just very interesting to rotate in my mind. I will always respect Cornelia for how she handled these four.
Capricorn x His unnamed lover who was so fucking annoying that Cornelia kicked her out of the story: Okay I know I know. But ever since Cornelia told us about her in that one Q&A I've been obsessed. Whoever this lover was, she haunts me. Can you imagine how dramatic that relationship must have been? With Mortola literally right there? Was this lady chilling in the Blackjacket's village? Was Capricorn still having ""affairs"" with his maids (aka assaulting them)? What about Resa? Did his lover care? Was Basta jealous of her? How active was she when it came to evil scheming? Was she from the Inkworld, and if so, what's her story? If not - oh my god? What's her story?? Please I have so many questions about this-
Basta: Who are your top 3 brotps?
Dustfinger and the Black Prince: Always!! I love their relationship so much, they have such a great dynamic. I love that the Prince has always protected Dustfinger, I love that Dustfinger always got in trouble alongside him anyway, I love how they both became legends in their own rights, I love that the Prince respects Dustfinger's choice to be fucking useless in battle despite having the potential to be a hightly effective fighter, I love how the Prince shaved his head when he grieved Dustfinger's death only for the motherfucker to show back up again, I love that as kids they decided they were soulmates because their names started with the same letter- god I love them so much.
Dustfinger and Mo: Where the fuck to begin honestly. I'm pretty sure they've both felt every emotion the human brain is capable of towards each other. They have SUCH a complicated and messy history and the fact that after All That, they seem to just be... friends? Regular dad friends? Absolutely incredible. I do hope Cornelia will put some more focus on the mind bond of death they're implied to still share because ??? Come ON, they literally felt each other's emotions and read each other's minds. Are they still just... just living like that, these days? Jesus Christ.
Elinor and Fenoglio: They meet up once a week just to fight recreationally. I love these senior citizens. Seriously, the way Elinor just DRAGGED Fenoglio to HELL every single day once she got to the Inkworld? And their relationship developing when they were travelling with the Motley Folk and all those kids? Them deep down really valuing and respecting each other? 10/10
Gwin: Who are your top 3 notps?
HM. Let me think.
Meggie x Farid: This is mainly nostalgic hatred but as a child they annoyed me to no end. I Did Not Care about their teen romance, I wanted to know where the story was going! In hindsight it starts out kind of cute, I guess, but... eh. And we all know where it eventually goes. Weird all around.
Violante x Cosimo: I probably don't need to explain this one but for the record. Yikes.
The Adderhead x Anyone: Again, obvious answer but man I just felt so bad for his wives during Inkdeath. DISGUSTINNNNNNG.
Overall it seems I don't carry much hatred in my heart when it comes to ships. I feel like the chill aunt. Like. As long as they're happy... :)

Fictional character ask: Firdevs Hanim ?
Favorite thing about them: That she is a woman who wants to live her life like she wants to and is unapologetic about it. She is also smart. I also think that she is a pretty iconic and memorable character.
Least favorite thing about them: She is an abusive mother to her daughters.
Favorite line: “In my opinion a human being should live for their own pleasure, not for the society”.
brOTP: I like her weird friendship with Behlül. The scene where she suggests him marrying Nihal has the cadence of two villains scheming together and I love it.
OTP: It is fun to imagine what an actual marriage between her and Adnan Bey would be like. (Adnan would be the one who dies, that’s for sure).
nOTP: With Behlül
Random headcanon: She is sad about Bihter’s death but not as much as a normal mother would be.
Unpopular opinion: Even though her characterization might come off as sexist and one-dimensional at first, I think that there is a subversive element to a female character with absolutely no maternal feeling towards her biological children and that the book at the end shows us how middle-aged men’s search for youth, which is more socially acceptable than middle-aged women’s, is as foolish and destined to fail.
Song i associate with them: Poor Unfortunate Souls Girls Just Wanna Have Fun
Favorite picture of them: I love this picture of Bihter, Firdevs and Nihal from the 1975 series which is also my blog header:

He was heroic and honourable, he was Captain Merlin - children were told stories of him.

She just wanted to clear her name, she didn't want to fall into magic, and schemes, and lovers torn apart. She was a soldier, she didn't believe in camp fire tales.
But it is hard to disbelieve, when you find yourself in one.
Over, Under, Around, and Through to the Heart
Merlin
Summary:
In Ealdor, you court someone by braiding their hair. Gwaine does not know this. Merlin knows Gwaine does not know this. Which means that braiding Gwaine's hair can be just because Merlin wants to, not because he is really courting the man.

You know I have to
Choose between the cat husbands for me XD
SCAR
Oh yes, the overgrown lap cat
   favorite thing about them.
Just how dramatic and ruthless he is, just the kind of villain I love! Those refined moves and phrases and how he is all “scheme big or go home”.
Even on his introduction you can see that he’s all about the drama and has no interest on anyone besides himself.
 least favorite thing about them
Can’t really point something worth mentioning right now.
 favorite line
“Well, as far as brains go, I got the lion's share, but when it comes to brute strength... I believe I am at the shallow end of the gene pool...”
This quote is, in my opinion, the perfect just a summary of Scar’s character.  The pun, the passive aggressiveness and the high image he has of himself combined with the self-pity he hold onto.
 brOTP
A certain anon (you know who you are)  gave me the idea of him being friends with Maleficent so now that headcanon lives in my head rent free.
I also like the idea of Scar and Ratigan being friends. I imagine a scene where Scar attempted to eat Ratigan and gave him the whole “life’s not fair” monologue until the rat started talking, and what started as a murder attempt quickly became a conversation about their shared ambition to become rulers.
 OTP
Shere Khan x Scar is by far one of my favorites ships thanks to a certain mutual.
I’m a sucker for the whole “badass old marriage” dynamic where they are both fed up with the world but still love each other deeply and would kick ass together.
Also Scar x Zira will never get old for me cuz like, they are an evil power couple and I’m weak for that shiz
 nOTP
If I have to be completely honest it would be Nala x Scar, specially after that certain interview in which it was revealed that she may or may not be Scar or Mufasa’s child. I know they are animals and that incest is not that weird among them, but still leaves me a bit uneasy.
  random headcanon
Imma steal this one from @disneybutmakeitgayadults and say that he’s blind of his left eye and has problems with perception, which puts him in even more of a disadvantage when hunting or fighting.
 unpopular opinion
Don’t have one, I think…

For the ask game, cherry from sk8 infinity :]
Thanks for playing! :)
How I feel about this character:
I love the grumpy team mom. He got style, the color-scheme, the attitude!
All the people I ship romantically with this character:
JOE.THEY’RE MARRIED. THAT’S A FACT
My brOTP for this character:
Huuuh. I don’t really have a brOTP for him? Him and Carla? Does that count?
My unpopular opinion about this character:
I genuinely do not have unpopular opinions about him. I love him. He and Joe are married. They are also the parents of our little Sk8 fam. That’s the facts. ùûv
One thing I wish would happen / had happened with this character in canon:
KISS JOE. JUST KISS HIM.
Seriously. I am... usually very content with my ships being non-canon, but those two are a married couple by anything but marriage license. The way they bicker and get so close in each other’s face. Just kiss.
Give me a character and I’ll break their ass down

Since in the last one I only included ladies, here are some gentlemen for you X'D: Baelon Targaryen, Daemon Targaryen, Aenys Targaryen, Aegon IV Targaryen (yes hate me all you like), Viserys Targaryen and Maekar Targaryen
Baelon Targaryen
favourite thing about them: His relationship with Alyssa
least favourite thing about them: He’s so decent, why would I dislike something about him?
favourite line: “They call me Baelon the Brave, but you are far braver than me. I would sooner fight a dozen battles than do what you've just done. “
brOTP: Baelon x Aemon
OTP: Baelon x Alyssa
nOTP: Baelon x Viserra because she would probably have an affair with Viserys or Daemon and then poison him
random headcanon: he liked dancing
unpopular opinion: I was really glad Fire and Blood completely destroyed all the scheming!Baelon therories as I didn’t like them at all smh
song i associate with them: none
Daemon Targaryen:
favourite thing about them: the fact that always did what he wanted with little regard for everybody else
least favourite thing about them: the fact that always did what he wanted with little regard for everybody else
favourite line: that quote about Dark Sister thirsting for blood
brOTP: Daemon x Viserys
OTP: Daemon x Rhaenyra, Daemon x Mysaria
nOTP: Daemon x Rhea Royce (that marriage just shouldn’t have happened)
random headcanon:  He and Rhaenyra had epic fights
unpopular opinion: I think his sons (and Rhaenyra’s sons) worshipped him, because he had the exact type of personality that children would worship at a young age, only he died before they could become too conscious of his very real flaws
favorite picture of them: Daemon as naomimakesart drew him, because it’s his best depiction by far
Aenys Targaryen
favorite thing about them: the fact he was the perfect husband
least favorite thing about them: he indecisiveness
favorite line: I don’t have one
brOTP: Aenys x his children
OTP: Aenys x Alyssa
nOTP: Aenys x Maegor
random headcanon: He and Alyssa used to go horseriding together
unpopular opinion: I think he and Alyssa had a very healthy and supportive relationship, despite all of his flaws
song i associate with them: none
favorite picture of them: the art from Fire and Blood
Aegon IV
favourite thing about them: Em, he was handsome once, I guess?
least favourite thing about them: Literally everything else lmfao
favourite line: none
brOTP: I don’t think anybody could stand him long enough to be his friend
OTP: Aegon IV x that ridiculous crown he used to wear
nOTP: Aegon and every person who had the misfortune to meet him
random headcanon: I think he was deeply impacted by losing his mother at such a young age, and he most likely had the most memories of her among his siblings
unpopular opinion: i dont think he was mad, he was just a absolutely terrible human person
song i associate with them: none
favourite picture of them: I guess the fanart of him with Aemon and Naerys, he looks appropriately slimy and lecherous
Viserys I Targaryen
favorite thing about them: He was a nice person (though he could still be an asshole sometimes)
least favorite thing about them: He played favourites between his children
brOTP: Viserys x Daemon
OTP: Viserys x Septon Eustace they have roughly the same amount of braincells so it’s a match made in heaven :D (I mean, I also ship Viserys/Alicent but Viserys/Eustace is an incomparable otp)
nOTP: Viserys/ Laena Velaryon
random headcanon: He had a new crown made especially for Alicent when he married her
unpopular opinion: I think he deserves so much more criticism for how he fucked up things with regards to the Dance AND for forcing Rhaenyra into an unwanted marriage (I have seen people criticize Alicent for supposedly “forcing” Helaena into marriage with Aegon II - even though we dont know Helaena’s or Aegon’s feelings and we aren’t even sure the wedding was Alicent’s idea, but Viserys threatening his daughter into marrying a man whom she didn’t like is perfectly okay because the Velaryons are “cool”?)
song i associate with them: none
favorite picture of them: Amok’s portrait of Viserys
Maekar Targaryen
favorite thing about them: the fact he is so salty and so sexy at the same time
least favorite thing about them: he doesn’t appreciate how hilarious Daeron the Drunken is
favorite line:
brOTP: Maekar x Baelor
OTP: Maekar x Dyanna Dayne
nOTP: Maekar x Bloodraven
random headcanon: he had close relationship with his two daughters
unpopular opinion: He and Stannis do have a lot of parallels but Maekar is way cooler
song i associate with them: none
favorite picture of them: that art of him with Baelor

I finally watched the italian 2013 Romeo and Juliet miniseries with Alessandra Mastronardi and honestly I hate everything about it but specifically:
- i LOVE Alessandra and she was my childhood but she’s too old for this. Romeo also is too old for this - they went for a more mature angle and I hate it. And Elena Sofia Ricci is too young to be the Nurse (but very done and funny, also she and Alessandra played mother and daughter in the past so they have a chemistry that makes me cry) Also why is it set in the snowy mountains somewhere in Trentino, what’s this, and mostly, if we’re so keen on changing setting and stuff, why did no one in this wretched boot made it in a 19th century setting with pro unity folks VS austrian loyalists
- There’s also Ken Duken (Anatole in War and peace 2007) as Mercutio, it’s not a criticism because he’s lovely and good at it and an adorable little shit. But it severely weirds me out. Also HE is the sensible one and Romeo the one who has the idea of sneaking to the ball???
- Apparently Juliet has an older sister, Ursula who is betrothed with Paris and hella jealous and catty that Paris loves Juliet instead (?) so she told tales on her and Romeo. Romeo has a younger brother, Antonio, instead of Benvolio (insert appropriate wailing for this tragic loss) who is a violent little shit
- I liked that Juliet’s first line was “I’m stronger than you think”. I liked less that the first scene is literally ROMEO&CO SETTING THE CAPULET’S CARRIAGE ON FIRE wtf and Romeo saves her from rape like in the worst trash action movies. He also kills a man immediately which imho ruins all the impact of him killing Tybalt but okay I guess we all hate innocence and men showing emotion here. Apparently Romeo used to believe in Revenge but Juliet changed him? Ugh
- They made Tybalt in love with Juliet AND southern (or at least it seems to me it’s implied by some lines, I don’t know if the actor is southern too) Such an hot take! What a fresh and interesting casting for the literal embodiement of jealousy and murder!! Really the proper message in a story which is supposed to be against prejudice and domestic conflict! (he was a pretty and badass guy though, so it’s forgiven).
- There’s a dynamic that Lord Capulet promised him he’d marry Juliet, but actually he has no intention whatsoever to give her to him and just uses it as an excuse to criticize him and say he’s not worthy, also the family fortune is in shambles and there’s a more wealthy suitor and the family’s wellbeing is more important than Tybalt’s even thought he always sacrificed himself for the family - man this is even more Nikolai\Sonya than it usually is. Marriage shit otherwise, they could be a very sweet brotp and she calls him “like a brother to me” a lot, so fuck you for ruining this with this romantic nonsense I guess.
- Lady Capulet is so shrewd and political and dominates her husband and I love her, she’s my only joy here. That and the Capulets having cats swarming everywhere.
- Oh and one part I like is when they do some adorable love\hate roleplay and make under a stage where a bad Midsummer production is taking place
- OHHHH WAIT Mercutio turned out to be on the verge to poison himself for his long lost love which WHAT that really did came out of nowhere. If they had any chemistry here, I might choose to think it’s about Tybalt but it’s not worth it with what little they interact. Oh I might think it’s an hypotetical dead Benvolio, but it seems this person dumped him rather than dying, and I don’t see Benvolio dumping him
- Now Tybalt, who apparently thinks he is in Assassin’s creed, is climbing over the Montague castle walls and setting fire to the barn. Classic. Oh and Romeo saved Juliet from rape AGAIN
- Oh the wedding happened - not much to say about it. Now Tybalt and Juliet are making out. Well he’s kissing her, she isn’t enthusiastic. Sweet. Also  “I can’t compete with powerful Paris or handsome Romeo. Come on, say it, I’m just the orphan cousin” MAN. I’m marginally happy, tho, because if he’s an orphan he’s not the son of the uncle from the South, so my suspicion there was the usual prejudice about Southern people and violent jealousy here was off
- “We’ll make up new words to say what words can’t say.” “For example?” “I love you, Juliet Capulet” I’m pretty sure these words already exist.
- Oh Ursula wants to run away, I wish I had some sympathy for her but she’s been a bitch this whole time. Ohh Juliet told her “Can’t you understand neither of us has a choice” poor girl. ...but why is literally no one in this family doing anything about their daughter running away from home in plain sight except Lady Capulet looking a bit upset? This is fully preventable??
- Mercutio is drunk and having knives trown at him on a bet. Also, he’s said to be metaphorically in love with death instead of life, which is beyond bad but he’s still the best character here. Also confirmation that what happened to him is that the woman he loved married someone else. I didn’t need this. OHHHH Romeo took his potion vial an helpful tool that will be useful later...
- Apparently the Bad Thing  happens on Christmas day, literally an hour before Romeo and Juliet were supposed to announce their wedding and fix everything :( oh and we got literally 5 seconds of Mercutio and Juliet bonding at mass, I liked that
- Ken Duken Is Deeply Stressed By His Man Crush’s Dueling Endeavors, A Rai Production
- “I played with death, now death plays me” oh Mercutio this made me sad :( they did the unintentional stabbing but it’s a bit weirdly since Tybalt seemed pretty serious about dueling with Mercutio, not like in 1968 where they looked like 13 year olds playing at pro wrestlers. But Lord Capulet didn’t believe him and beat the shit out of him and said he “won’t cover for him this time” which is fucking rich since it’s said all Tybalt did until now it was because his uncle ordered him and just now he gets mad becaus it makes the family look bad. OH HE KICKED HIM OUT OF THE HOUSE TOO WHAT THE HELL. Literally compelled 3 children out of 3 to quit the family, what the fuck’s wrong with this guy
- Yeah, they didn’t make Romeo kill Tybalt immediately but rather go look for him at his own house, which... looks bad, since it’s more sympatethic if it’s a moment of madness, he really isn’t a premeditated vengeance guy. To make up for it, now his entire family is bullying him into Revenge and calling him a coward. Can I file for adoption of all this guys much older than me?
- AAAAAGH now Juliet is begging Romeo not to kill Tybalt and he gave her back the wedding ring and said her love made him weak and I suddenly hate this again why why why. And she was already sad for Mercutio who she knew five minutes, now she’s getting much worse, she deserves better than this. Oh, Tybalt is fighting with a longsword in each hand because why fucking not, and it was decided Juliet has to witness the fight because WHY FUCKING NOT. And we’re giving the violent Montague baby brother Benvolio’s role because WHY FUCKING NOT.
- Romeo improved a bit in the post duel part, at least he seems a bit more vulnerable. He snapped at his mom and gave up his family name but that’s understandable since, again, it’s them who pushed him to kill. I may be relating to him a little because I, too, never made any fucking decision on my own and then bitch when it turns out bad
- Paris is a fucking sleezeball iwth no respect for people’s mourning, the Capulets can’t stop scheming even at the funeral and apparently beat the shit out of 2\3 of their children, and Juliet fucking forgave the guy already? The only good people left here are Friar Lawrence and the nurse. I felt really bad because she got bullied by Lady Capulet so much, and he calls Romeo out on his bullshit so well
- Okay, I warmed up to Romeo and Juliet again when they started fantastizing about four children and family Christmas dinners where everyone argues
- Ok the whole ending was actually pretty good and sad, especially all the family arguments. Alessandra was really good here. Also there was Ursula calling out Paris at Juliet’s funeral and I live for that
- OH AND THEY DID THE THING WHERE JULIET WAKES UP WHILE ROMEO DIES BECAUSE WE HATE JOY IN THIS COUNTRY and this lasts so long they have time to have a conversation and talk about peace and children and marble castles again and this took a bad turn

Zhu Li, Tarrlok & Ozai if its okay to send 3 :)
ZHU LI:
Sexuality headcanon: i know i keep saying characters are bi....... but she’s bi.
Gender headcanon: i get nonbinary vibes from her....
A ship I have with said character: i like her relationship with varrick marginally more in the comics than in the show, which still isn't a whole lot. like am i remembering it wrong or did he go from treating her like an assistant to proposing in the span of like, a day? and she accepted?? i don’t even know how a relationship between the two of them could work, at the very least it has to be after a considerable amount of time bonding in a romantic context rather than going straight from boss/assistant to married (because there are moments where he still treats her like an assistant after marriage and it’s played for laughs?). and i know i know this sounds like a NOTP, but i don’t hate zhurrick. i like the potential it has and wish it had been done better, & hope it will be.
A BROTP I have with said character: okay i loved her and asami being Business Babes in turf wars
A NOTP I have with said character: bolin???? because apparently that’s a ship
A random headcanon: she keeps rabbits. idk why, that just popped into my head and i like it
General opinion over said character: nothing but respect for my president of the united republic. honestly i’m glad zhu li’s getting time to shine away from varrick and recognition of the incredible person she is! the presidency thing kinda came out of nowhere, but i’m glad we don’t have to see raiko’s dumb face anymore. and you KNOW she’s gonna kill it.
TARRLOK:
Sexuality headcanon: that gay coding is intentional, right?
Gender headcanon: hmmm i think tarrlok as a trans man could add some interesting context to his backstory, particularly in regard to him feeling inferior to his brother, as yakone was at least a teenager when the NWT forbade women and girls from fighting. so if he held those beliefs by the time he had kids, having a daughter may have been a disappointment. transphobia is never brought up in the avatar universe, but if the water tribes are okay with being gay then i would hope being trans is okay too. in which case i could see yakone being happy about it, but at the same time harder on tarrlok for not measuring up to “being a man”.
A ship I have with said character: i hc that he had a long-term partner, a waterbender and healer, who ended things with him when he started to become more paranoid and oppressive towards nonbenders in his anti-equalist quest.
A BROTP I have with said character: his relationship with amon/noatak was really interesting, and something i wish we saw more of. even just like, a longer conversation between the two of them before their deaths.
A NOTP I have with said character: KORRA. AMON. they're so disgusting.
A random headcanon: can't think of a better one rn, so i hc that he became basically his mother's carer before he began his career in government, shortly after which she died, as if she was holding on until he got his life started.
General opinion over said character: he’s a good villain! the joseph mccarthy/a. mitchell palmer parallels are fun, and the fact that he's partly inspired by azula is really evident. book one's plot just holds a special place in my heart, and i love characters with complicated family dynamics, so tarrlok and his family are up there as some of the most compelling characters to me
OZAI:
Sexuality headcanon: straight, but he's incapable of feeling love or affection.
Gender headcanon: cis man
A ship I have with said character: NOBODY. tho i’ve said before that his relationship with ursa does intrigue me while also making me extremely uncomfortable. i’m just gonna copy and paste what i wrote then: “i would love to read a well-written fic from ursa’s point of view, chronicling her time in the royal family, that’s respectful towards her and doesn’t go all game of thrones on the abuse she received, and handles it better than the comics. she’s such an important figure and deserves a better story than what we got.“
A BROTP I have with said character: ozai neither has nor wants nor deserves friends
A NOTP I have with said character: literally everybody, but especially ursa
A random headcanon: hmmm doing the math means izumi must have been born when zuko was in his 20s, so i hc that ozai was still alive as she was growing up, and while zuko banned him from ever seeing her, ozai still attempted to sway and influence her like he tried with zuko, with undercover prison guards and such scheming with his followers on the outside. i can see life imprisonment eventually making him into a shell of his former self, but i believe he's still a bastard for some decades before that.
General opinion over said character: god he’s a fucking asshole. his character is written well enough to make me incredibly angry and hateful, but he’s still bottom of my list of favorite main villains. the show did a great job of building him up as this super powerful final boss, but for me personally he’s not as compelling as azula and the LOK villains (maybe excluding unalaq, as they're quite similar). like, i find his personal life and relationships much more interesting than his ambition or power

Stahma Tarr
This is a hard one.
OTP: Kenya or maybe T’evgin. Kenya/Stahma had some very good moments, but it’s hard to see it ever working unless Stahma wasn’t… Stahma or Kenya wasn’t Kenya. Maybe Stahma could have redeemed herself if she stayed with Kenya, but is that what we would have wanted? I don’t know. This relationship would have been a long, messy one if it had lasted because Stahma would always be Stahma and Kenya would never be ok with her lover poisoning people she disagreed with or scheming to undermine her sister. Would Kenya be enough to keep her on the right track? I… don’t…. She’ll always be Stahma.
But that relationship was a mixture of sweet, dangerous, and tragic that served to highlight how naive they both were in different ways. Kenya’s attraction to abusive lovers took her down a bad path once again, but she didn’t see that pattern repeating itself. She wanted to see the best in Stahma even though she was warned. But Stahma was naive too. She was following her husband’s orders because that’s how she was taught to be her entire life and she hadn’t realized she could break free and that she is smarter than her husband. She had not yet gone through her flawed feminist revolution. In fact, Kenya’s death is what put her on that track. This relationship changed Stahma, but too late to last.
But T’evgin also gets points because she couldn’t kill him (very important when dating Stahma), but he also loved Stahma for who she was - a murdering, scheming Castithan who tried to kill him. He knew exactly what he was in for and he was ok with it. He had a good heart and he let Stahma in to it. He fell in love with her.
BrOTP: Christie. That was quite the relationship. I don’t like how things unfolded for Christie at the start of season 3, but if that had to happen, I wish they had at least waited until later in season 3. Christie becoming Stahma’s protege was a good arc and it got cut short way too early, but Stahma truly loved Christie.
She embraced Christie and took her into her family. It was always more than a scheme for Stahma. She really cared about her and I think they only would have grown closer over season 3, but when she killed Chrisite, she truly believed she was doing the right thing. She was giving her the agency to choose how she would die - at Stahma’s hand to save her son rather than at the hands of the VC. She killed her because she loved her and respected her decision to die how she wanted.
OT3: Have we considered Kenya Clone/Berlin/Stahma? I’d be into that. Someone write the fic.
NoTP: Stahma/A monogamous marriage. I know she loves Datak, but if Stahma hadn’t found another new lover in season 4, I would have been disappointed. Datak always went to the NeedWant. You go to the NeedWant too Stahma. You know you want to.
