Firstly, you don't really get sent on missions that often

Not that he thinks you're weak or something, no quite the opposite, it's just that unless you insist on going he just wants you near him

So it didn't really surprise you that much when you suddenly get disarmed

But you always have one weapon: your pedes and servos

So you just roundhouse kicked that bot and he just got yeeted across the field and slammed into an rock that had an visible hole/dent that showed even when he wasn't there that once he got thrown into that rock

Tbh you where a little surprised that you could fight that good even without your weapons but then again Megatron made sure you where trained well enough for such a situation

Megatron found out through Soundwave and when you came back he had this proud dad look in his optics but only for a moment before another vehicon entered the bridge

He now knows that you definitely are capable of taking care of yourself and lets you more often on missions if you insist

He's still protective tho

You never go on missions when you're his friend/partner because there is no reason that you need to

He prefers you to be on the Nemesis with him where he knows 100% that you are safe

But sometimes there is no other way and he has to sent you out

But you're prepared, he knows it but still gets worried, and you prove it to him

When your weapon suddenly gets hardly damaged Soundwave has Lazerbeak attack the enemy and is already on his way to you

But when he arrives there is just an unconscious bot on the ground and you with an pede on his helm

He now knows that you are stronger than you look

You are both almost always together on missions when one has to go

Became a habit for you both after Starscream had a small panic attack when you where strongly wounded

Poor boy has heavy abandonment issues

Anyways, you always have each others backs but sometimes you get separated

You learned to fight, and are quite good at it, and didn't expect anything to happen to you

But when your weapon gets crushed you panic for a moment before just doing what your processor told you

Which was kick your enemy and frag did it work

They just collapsed onto the ground after you kicked them

Starscream came back a few moments later and both of you just stood there with visible confusion written all over your faceplates

Now when he feels threatened he 'hides' behind you, old habits die hard I guess, but he doesn't mean it in a rude way

M:I Dead Reckoning Spoilers

This is your last warning.

OKAY so on the one hand, I cannot believe they killed off Ilsa!! Did they do a good job of foreshadowing it? Yes, I saw it coming a mile away even before they got to the bridge. However, (in my opinion) it was a disappointing move.

I was so down for Hayley Atwell to be in this movie. In fact, I still really love her character + character development over the course of the movie!! I think she was well fleshed out for her first movie!! But just because they introduced a new character (and dare I even say… love interest???) does not mean they can kill off the only other female on the team. They one-hundred-percent fridged her for the sake of Ethan’s dilemma later on in the movie, and that was after they already set up the first fridge in the beginning of the movie to show how angry/scared he was of this guy.

Furthermore, they killed her off to perpetuate Ethan’s tragic love life. We know that before Ethan joined the IMF, his SO was killed by Gabriel. In the first movie, the woman he was seeing on his team is killed with the rest of them in the beginning of the movie. We never hear from the thief (Ms. Hall?) after the second. Julia we know fakes her death and becomes a ghost after the third movie. And then, in Fallout, it seems like Ethan’s finally given permission (by Julia or himself or the circumstances, take your pick) to move on and be with Ilsa. Only for it to all fall apart in the very next movie!!

There was no reason to kill off Ilsa. It was bad writing, especially after hinting at Grace being his next love interest and killing off Ilsa because of her. There was no reason for Grace not to get along with everyone as friends in the IMF or as a contact or what have you and still have Ilsa as Ethan’s SO as well as a rogue agent/in the IMF/ghost contact.

That being said.

Now that I have finished blaming the writers, I must congratulate them in the way they handled Ilsa’s death. I mentioned earlier that I was able to see Ilsa’s death foreshadowed in the cinematography and the overall feel and narrative of the movie. Faking her death in the beginning of the movie to prime the audience for her real death later, having her face blown up on the tv screen behind the director when he tells Ethan that continuing this path will cost him, and the overly blatant call out of the entity that she was closer to the bridge than Ethan.

Concerning the bridge itself, I feel like it was somewhat ridiculous to have Ilsa carry a sword over a gun, but those feelings aside the sword v knife fight was freaking awesome. They did do her (as well as Grace before) justice in the fight against Gabriel in the fact that visually they were really cool looking fights and they weren’t taken out in two swings.

And on the matter of Grace’s presence at the bridge, I have to say it was very in character for Ilsa to pursue Gabriel in an effort to save Grace. From our first meeting with Ilsa, she was always willing to put an ally’s life before her own (just as Ethan is so prone to doing) and so character-wise, it makes sense for Ilsa to go in without backup, without waiting.

Am I still mad that she died? Absolutely! I could also talk about their usage and subsequent disposal of Paris (a really awesome and fun character; tbh I am not totally sure that’s her name), but right now I wanted to focus on Ilsa’s death as Paris’s role in the movie requires her own pros and cons list. However, I can say that I (personally) think that it was handled much better than some other movies deal with their characters deaths. Overall, it was a fantastic movie and I will be watching part two next year to see how they round off this arc.

Before i say anything i know im in the wrong here, i have a really personal issue with the movie that i dont feel comfortable sharing but its one of the names used A LOT in the movie, so that definitely plays a part in my opinion whether i like it or not. That being said, usually i can ignore stuff like that, ive done it with other movies but there was nothing else to grasp my attention so i got stuck on things like that.

Also wanna say this first because i feel like it explains why i hate a lot of the things i do. I could really be reaching here but i think they’re trying to set up hayley as the new face of these movies and dead reckoning part 2 is gonna be the end for tom. She was the main character, Ethan was not. She was a part of 2 stunts out of the 3 big ones in the movie and Toms solo stunt (the cliff jump) was maybe a minute of the movie and correct me if im wrong but thats never happened before, Toms always had a big stunt thats just him that takes up a good, MEMORABLE, chunk of the movie, and that just wasnt in this.

I didn’t like it at all. Up until the airport i loved the movie, i really liked the way it was shot, i liked the mi1 callbacks, i really liked ethan and ilsa and everything was good, i could ignore the AI plot (which i knew i wasnt gonna like going into it i hate AI villains) and just watch the movie but after the airport i started to not like the movie anymore. During the fiat car chase i realized i was gonna really not gonna like the movie. That was one of the three big stunts of the movie and i hated it, it just felt really rushed and there were so many characters who i didnt know and didnt know why they were there, WHICH IS OKAY i love not knowing things thats part of my brand im all about that but it just did not work here, sometimes not knowing anything about character works and other times it doesnt.

I dont remember a lot from the middle chunk of the movie, i wasnt enjoying it but trust me i was trying. Not even benji and luther made the movie enjoyable and to top it all off ilsa died and im getting mad again but that was one of the worst deaths i think ive seen. If shes not actually dead then thank god but also im sorry mcq but awful writing unless something got cut because she was free? She was dead? There was no bounty on her head anymore, that was why she “died” at the start of the movie and correct me if im wrong but she really didnt need to be in Venice with her face showing either. It really feels like she just died so hayley could be in the spotlight with ethan and there were too many characters so they had to get rid of her along with benji and luther who arent dead but may as well be with their 10 minutes of screen time.

But all of this i can look past, i dont like the plot? whatever, thats not why i, personally, watch mission impossible movies, i watch for the stunts, i wanna see tom cruise do some crazy shit but i didnt even get that. Im really mad about the lack of stunts in this movie i feel insane idk if anyone else is complaining about this but i didnt like a single one of them. Im so let down and i hate that im so upset over something like this but i am. Thats the promise thats being made when you go see these movies and in my opinion they didn’t deliver. All the fighting was really good i loved the fight in that tight alleyway with ethan and paris but i hated the car chase, the cliff jump could’ve been better? i dont even know what to say about that one tbh, and the train, ohhhhhh the train, i dont even wanna talk about the train, i was trying so hard to like it i wanted it to redeem the whole movie for me but it just didnt, i feel so bad but it didnt and im so disappointed.

Lmao, tbh, I find objectivity rarely works in ships (or real relationships). People gonna like who they like. I also personally think a character like Silco has left happiness in the romantic sense far behind - the closest he comes to joy is through Zaun's evolution, and greater still, through Jinx, who teaches him the meaning of selfless love and self-sacrifice<3

Mel and Silco come from two diametrically opposite worlds. A lot of their inbuilt traumas will also trigger the other (Silco reminding Mel of her mother at his worst; Mel reminding Silco of Piltover's hubris at her haughtiest). They could either inspire each other to be wiser and more merciful people - or they could absolutely tear each other down. In a relationship, they'd likely have clashes of opinion. Often.

At their pettiest, they'd play mindgames, paired with cold war tactics. Worst case? He'd reduce her poise to tears. She'd mutate his control into ragefrothing.

More positively, in softer moments, she'd be a stable guiding light and good source of counsel, since she understands the burdens of leadership. In turn, he'd demonstrate how ruthlessness means protecting those closest to you by keeping them at your side, not banishing them because they 'weaken' you. She'd value the devotion, and they'd be a force to reckon with in a political arena.

As per my own headcanon, they'd be compatible but a little mismatched in the bedroom. Mel is more into the delicacy and artistry of lovemaking. Silco is more about control games and unraveling his paramours. His drive is also higher than hers, which would make her feel a little off-balance from time to time. Plus side: they'd, er, bone up each other's techniques and expand their repertoires to please one another :)

Sevika and Silco have a completely different dynamic. For one, they're from the same background and share a history. She also has more context for certain behaviors of his, and vice versa, since she's either witnessed or experienced them herself. Then there's the shared goal of Zaun, which is why they're even working side-by-side. To achieve it, they'd grit their teeth and put up with alot.

It's about the end, not the means.

Unlike Melco, there'd be plenty of day-to-day bickering. But a full knock-down drag-out fight would be a rarity. They also don stone-cold professional personas in public, and are good at compartmentalizing, which makes them less prone to overstep boundaries. Sentiment is kept in check, unless it's an emergency.

Bedroom-wise, Sevika can take and dish out his brand of violence with equal relish. He may find her a bit too rough around the edges and downright uncouth sometimes. But since they share a socioeconomic background, he'll shrug it off, and she'll occasionally mock him for being hoity-toity. They also share an enjoyment for unmitigated nastiness in all its forms. Their kinks are well-aligned.

tl;dr re: Melco vs Sevilco - happiness is in the eye of the shipper.

so i’m definitely waaay too online today, but something occurred to me bc i’ve been contemplating Jonathan (el oh el).

i think i’ve finally sussed out what really bugs me so INTENSELY about his whole speech about Nancy dropping her dreams to follow him and live in blissful marital resentment with however many hateful children they have. it’s that it’s just…WILDLY unsupported by what they’ve shown us “in the text” so far.

like we’ve obviously seen that when the chips are down, nancy has zero problem putting life and limb on the line to make a stand. but when it comes to her own visions and goals, Nancy is, uh, considerably less self-sacrificing.

case-in-point: against Jonathan’s express, repeatedly stated wishes, she pushes her s3 investigation so hard that she gets them BOTH fired!

it was fuck the editorial board, fuck Jonathan, fuck every single person who tried to throw a roadblock in front of what Nancy felt in her soul was the right thing to do. it caused an ENORMOUS rift in their relationship.

and like i guess maybe if the whole thing had led to some kind of reckoning or lesson learned for her i might see how he was able to justify his logical leap in s4 — but it didn’t! the show framed her as correct! she had karen in her corner yelling fight ALL THE MEN and Jonathan apologizing without question or caveat in the elevator. so the intent was clearly not for Nancy to have a come to Jesus moment about the impacts of her actions on others.

this doesn’t occur in a vacuum, either. we see it time and time again. it’s fuck Steve in s1 when he doesn’t want to investigate Barb’s disappearance and fuck Steve x2 in s2 when he thinks it’s a bad idea to find a way to bring closure to Barb’s parents.

Nancy has an MO and she generally sticks to it, regardless of whether or not she’s flying in the face of well-reasoned arguments. and the show has decided that this is, in fact, a Good Thing. one way or another, she finds a way to make sure her needs are met and her goals are achieved (and she can frankly be pretty callous about it when she wants to be!).

so I’m having a really difficult time understanding how Jonathan got to a place where the conversation would have been “I’ll follow you wherever you go if you don’t want to go to Emerson” and not “We are clearly in different places and have different desires and may need to re-examine our relationship wholesale.”

because tbh (and without actually SEEING the conversation, i don’t know how it was approached, which is a whole other THING), i am kind of wondering if Emerson would have even factored into the discussion if the first option had EVER been on the table. if Nancy had been interested in that kind of compromise, I’m skeptical that they would have settled on a college that was very clearly HER dream school, thousands of miles away from the family that Jonathan adores, independent of his complicated relationship with his own parentification and obligation to them.

AND part of me thinks that you could make the argument that he actually DOES know that the second conversation is the one they’d be having and he’s just not really ready to hear it yet. but i guess that’s an unsolved mystery for s5.

in conclusion Nancy needs a stay-at-home dad willing to work part time and raise their family and follow her where her career takes her because the most important thing in his life is HER, not a job. and it is actually FINE for that to be the case (as long as they both consent to it and have clearly outlined expectations). because not everyone needs a career to have purpose and feel fulfilled.

Ooh, good question! It has been A While since I last touched Metal Gear, I still need to finish TPP lol - as a result, your answer might take a bit! I'm gonna assume our heroes can see Walpurgisnacht since it's boring to say "they all get blindsided and die the end"

I get the feeling that with BB being able to bench a fucking mech that one time in Peace Walker, at the very least he'd have the durability to just out-endure Walpurgis and beat her with brute force, if anybody - man might be a massive himbo but he gets results!

Considering Solid was able to defeat BB not once but twice (yes I know about the technicality there but Venom is pretty formidable too) I figure he might have a decently good shot of being able to beat Walpurgisnacht like BB, if he can figure out some sort of force multiplier!

Liquid is... well, Liquid. Man's got an IQ of like 170 just like Solid, but considering basic genetics is enough to defeat his brain somehow, and he lost to both V and Solid, I get the feeling Liquid alone is not gonna have a great time trying to save Mitakihara.

Solidus, it feels like it depends - On one hand, he lost to Raiden ultimately, on the other, he was the president at one point, but then the question would be if he's in office at the time of the Walpurgisnacht disaster so he can call in like, a nuke on the witch - From there the question becomes "will a nuke stop her?" and tbh, I actually don't know! (Before you say "well but what about those Scud looking thingies Homura used", those seem to be anti ship missiles used by the JSDF so they're likely an order of magnitude below a nuke)

Raiden is technically a snake too, and he's also a pretty interesting case because he displays similar durability to BB - in MGS4 at least he was able to stop a fucking boat with his cyborg powers after all not to mention the slicing a plane in half thing, so honestly he might be able to do it, especially with his katana from Revengeance!

Venom, again, I haven't completed his game (and especially considering I switched default V out for a girl because I interpret TPP as basically Deci Writes Dumb Fanfic: The Game, and a mostly-female Mother Base is basically my fantasy of being treated like a princess by a small army of lesbians) but like, he seems decently close to BB in terms of capabilities. I feel like he might have more trouble though, but like I haven't gotten to the Sahelanthropus fight so who knows! Maybe he can just caber-toss her into orbit or something!

Last but not least of our snake roster, we have The Boss! I know she's not technically a snake but she's my fave so I'm gonna include her! Obviously she'd win easily, since she is a girl and girls are magic, so being a Magical Girl in the first place is easy!* She's strong enough to beat Big Boss too, so if he could beat Walpurgis she could too by my reckoning!

Ocelot honestly strikes me as the kinda guy who would be smart enough to not get involved in the first place - his whole thing is trying to save BB after all, so a single city doesn't necessarily feel like something he'd be interested in saving in the first place unless it benefited him somehow. Since BB can probably defeat Walpurgisnacht, Ocelot would probably wind up just doing what he did in MGS3 where he supported Snake from the sidelines, in my opinion. On the other hand, if he had to save BB because he was incapacitated or something, we all know that six shots are more than enough to kill anything that moves, and Walpurgisnacht does move, so perhaps he'll find a way to ricochet his bullets for maximum damage!

All of this changes though, if you add in their allies - Liquid might be weak to suspicious heart attacks, but Liquid in REX becomes the same question of Solidus if he calls in a Minuteman III, but I think this answer is long and rambly enough already tbh

I do think that Jango's whole thing is grief tbh. The kind of grief that makes you forget who you are and forget that you are a person with choices. I don't think it looks like grief, I think it looks like fury, but I do think that the grief is what underlys it all. I think that the grief is fueling the violence and the anger and all of it.

I don't think you can seperate his character, his choices, from the fact that he lost everyone he loved multiple times. And he never got a chance to process any of it, I mean, he was so young and then he was fighting a war and then he was leader of his people and then he was imprisoned. Its all just, running to catch up.

I think that ultimately he lost himself to that grief, to the anger it fueled, I reckon in the end he was someone he didn't particularly like and once that happened, he needed to keep lying to himself, telling himself he was right, that he had no choice and in doing so he only lost himself further. And his whole running from reality thing, that's egged on by the fact that if he faces reality, faces what he's done, he'll also have to confront this great shadow of grief that's been dogging his steps since he was a child

I think that in his head, he was serving the people he'd lost. That he was in debt to them, after failing to save them and surviving in his stead, so now he needed to pay them back in the only way He could. Which is to live for them. To live to see them avenged. Though of course, none of them would have ever wanted this, but he can't ask them, because they are gone. They are truly lost to him. It's about doing the only thing he can for them, which really isn't about them at all. It's about feeling like he's doing something for them. About feeling like they are still close enough to him that he can do anything for them.

The grief isn't an excuse of course. He became someone terrible. He refused to face it and lost himself to denial. He let himself be eaten alive by a sunk cost fallacy. He doomed himself and refused to take any of the outs avaliable to him. He could have turned around and done better at any point, but he didn't, he didn't try to and so, everyone around him paid for that. He destroyed himself, and he hurt Boba badly, in spite of his love for him. He forgot how to love and he didn't try to remember, he just let himself be controlled by this fear he could never admit to. By a grief he could never let go of. Jango is defined by all that he isn't, all that he lost. So yeah. The grief was there, and he was worse for it.

If so, with the pre-requisit he travels with Annabeth, I would honestly love to see him in a Brandon Sanderson universe, specifically the Reckoners series. I think it would be interesting to see him fight other People with 'powers' rather than gods/non humans.

All of the Percy Jackson series in my head always has people fighting for causes that are blamed on a higher power or another group/being (eg. the fights, although against another demigods, are people who side with demigods vs people who side with gods, titans, monsters, etc. to fulfill human desires/pride... yet at the same time these guys are being manipulated by others... ) and I would love to see him navigate slightly more human-blamed causes and issues!!

18) A relationship Percy has in canon that I admire

all of them m...... Percy has great chemistry with Everyone, but two more specifically:

a) Grover. I think theres so much missed potential tbh in the series as time goes on. Grover is like a full ass adult but theyre also best friends. technically Grover lied by omission to percy for like the start and basis of their friendship but also they have an emotional and mental bond that connects them for life. they have saved each others lives a hundred times over. theyre brothers. also theyre stupid.

I think Grover must have felt a lot of like.. fakeness? Imposter syndrome? at first because dude hes basically a spy whos in charge of taking care of this kid, specifically a kid who reminds you a lot about a kid he Failed before.... and yet Percy forgives him and loves him and the fact that hes a half goat and an adult is like hey whatever since we're friends

It speaks a lot about Percy's character (and his loyalty) to me and also if you've read the other series you'll know Grover doesn't really go on quests anymore/show up a lot and yet their love for each other is still there and hey thats what friendship is yeah?

b) Nico. AHHH NICO *ahem* anyways. I Love Percy and Nicos relationship. one sided crush, percy is So Cool and like the Awesome Older Guy™ you know whose like..??? everything to you?? and also you're Gay and Percy freaking Hurt you and you feel like he was Wrong and Broke a Promise to you but you also realize as you grow older that guy is Literally Just A Guy™ and a Child at that.. and for Percy like.... this kid who looks up to you and hey this is actually like..? the First time in your life where someone explicitly states they think youre cool and a good role model and that Pressure!! and you feel that responsibility but also youre like 14????

and then later when you both get older you realize that the other person is so much more than you can ever see or understand and the portrait you had of them in your head barely scratches the surface and thats a Good thing because it means that people are so much greater than you knew and your past does not define you and moving on from something doesnt mean you dont love it anymore

I think Percy and Nico's relationship is admirable because theres so much forgiveness (both for each other and for themselves as they navigate what it means to have/make/maintain relationships with people that you've never experienced before) and thats beautiful to me.

something I really wanted to see is a geto and gojo fight it would be exciting

OH YOU..YOU..I can't tell you how SICK it would have been. Damn bro you gotta my brain churning for some reason. I am in general soooooooo interested in all special grades and how the fights between them would have played out.

Geto and Gojo fight in their teens would be a fight of equals ngl because both of them were not well-versed in domain expansion and/or RCT, but adult geto gojo, not so much. Still Geto's Uzumaki has me interested for a long long time, I mean it was able to take out Yuki, another special grade sorcerer so adult geto still a force to be reckoned with (still kinda sad we didn't get to see Geto's domain expansion while he was alive).

On a lighter note, I feel like teen Geto would have helped Gojo a lot in martial arts and close combats. I mean we didn't see teen gojo display his close combat skills once because his CT allows him to fight from a far range. Now this is also true for Geto but teen Geto is also a trained Martial artist. I genuinely believe teen geto would have whooped gojo's ass in a close combat fight without any CE and CT use. Which makes me believe Gojo would have tried to improve his close combact skills after Geto came in his life.

Also we never see teen Gojo fight in a close range but adult Gojo is fucking amazing at martial arts and I would like to thank one Suguru Geto for making that difference in his life.

ON THE OTHER HAND, KENJAKU/GETO VS GOJO.

that could have been a fight to die for. Kenjaku has been one of my fave villain in this whole series till now and the fact that he possess the CT of his previous bodies almost makes him unpredictable, now combine that with Geto's curse manipulation which is another unpredictable CT and you basically have a surprise attacks combo. It's a shame that his last fight in Geto's body was a very goofy fight because Kenjaku possessing Mahito and Tengen almost makes me shiver about what he could do. Also Imma just put it out here but I love my son Yuuta but it's NOT kenjaku over yet, he was talking with his head cut off. There is something going to happen that's gonna change the history of jjk for the better or worse and my bet is it's gonna go worse. Also a 1000 yr old curse who knows how to make curse objects and fucking made 9 death paintings and 1 sukuna vessel gonna go out like that, oh hell nah. Tbh I am more afraid for Yuuta right now for taking on Kenjaku like this because we know how much Gege likes to make us think a character won just to pour ice water on it. But but whatever is gonna happen, it's most likely gonna be out of Geto's body which again makes me mourn for a Kenjaku in Geto's body and Gojo fight. Still it makes me so fucking happy that Yuuta was able to fulfill his wish to Gojo about not having him fight his best friend. RIP geto, gojo, yuki; you special grades deserved better.

Born to a very wealthy & well-respected family in the Winter Court. Vitto’s father was the Commander of the Winter Court for centuries before Vitto took his place, and many other members of his family have dwelled within the court.

The youngest of three sisters, Vitto was forced to hit the ground running the moment he could stand. His father had long yearned for an heir by the time Vitto was born; the stress and strife of trying for a son wore on his parents — and then his sisters — for decades. The family he came into was a tense house full of bitter resentment and smoldering grudges.

Vitto was trained as a warrior from the age of five, just as all the men in his family before him were. Luckily, he was a born natural when it came to strategizing and fighting. The two became lovers for a time, and to this day, he’s still deeply in love with her. Only a scant few had known about their relationship to begin with, luckily. Once Clem became High Lady, Vitto knew he would have to take that secret — and love — to the grave with him.

Kardan Nihar — high lord Even with his feelings about Clemmie aside, Vitto dislikes Kardan and certainly doesn’t trust him. He despises the way he treats his wife and the people of the Winter Court. Vitto’s father always compared him to Kardan, believing that Vitto needed to be colder and more wicked to be taken seriously in any position of authority. Vitto is unwaveringly loyal to his high lord, even when he doesn’t want to be. He always keeps an eye out around Kardan, and tries to make himself sparse— lest he be caught in the same room as Kardan and Clem together for an extended period of time, which Vitto always tries vehemently to avoid.

Althea Haldar — ex girlfriend The longest lasting relationship that Vitto has ever had — the closest he's ever come to a normal, stable love — was Althea Haldar, sister of the High Lord of the Dusk Court. The two of them were immediately smitten, two sides of the same coin. As much of a friendship as it was a relationship, Vitto allowed himself to get closer to Althea than he had to anyone before. He truly loved Althea; they envisioned a future together, dreamt of being mated. She knew him inside and out, which was precisely the problem— she could tell his heart was somewhere else, and eventually, she unearthed the secret of Vitto's infatuation with his high lord's wife. To protect himself and Clytemnestra both, he denied all of it, and still attempts to.

Fun or Dumb: A quest in the next Elder Scrolls, where they want to bring Pelial Whitestrake from some point in his timeline to the present to use him against Aldemeri Dominion. Player is tasked with STOPPING that from happening, since, well, Pelial may have been a hero to humanity, but he's also an unstoppable and unstable genocidal walking WMD, and humanity isn't the obvious underdog that needs all help it can get in this conflict. I know to some this may seems like the ESO's current shitty "evil anti-monarchist who try to take down monarchy too hard", but personally, I don't think it's the same thing. It wouldn't be a contrivence to make fighting Thalmor seem radical, it would be about keeping ethics, even in a just war.

i would kinda like a quest like this tbh, esp if it finally delivered some criticism against the septim (mede?) empire. you could throw in some allusions to tiber septim using numidium to subdue alinor originally, which is kinda what lead to this entire mess in the first place... refusing to bring in whitestrake would be a real "rebuke the sins of the father" moment for the no doubt imperial-aligned protagonist. i reckon it could be good
