Hi Hal! First of all, congratulations for reaching 5k followers! Your fanfics are what pushed me further into COD and Cult of Vagabonds turned me into a full on Gaz girlie 💗

With that, I would love to request some sort of boyfriend drabble for Gaz! I remember in some of your asks, you guys would talk about Kyle being a gentleman and just him being a sweet and loving partner in general. So, I was thinking of scenarios with him taking care of reader, maybe he helps her with her skin care routine when she's too tired, or he picks her up and takes her home when she gets drunk (and he goes along with her drunk shenanigans but at the same being the protective, worrywart bf) or (as someone who loves shopping and dressing up) they go on dates and they spoil each other since they know each other's preferences so well, stuff like that hehe.

Again, congratulations on the milestone Hal! Here's to many more celebrations and achievements 💖

You giggle, slurring your words as you get placed into the back seat of a cab.

“I love you s’much, Kyle, y’know that?” The man himself is smiling fondly, heart eyes stuck into his head as he holds the door for a moment before grabbing your legs, pushing them inside. He shakes his head in good-nature.

“I’m flattered, Sweetheart. I love you too, yeah…? Let’s get you home—think you’ve had a bit too much fun tonight.”

Your arm is over your eyes before it’s grabbed, Kyle grunting, “Up you get,” before the world slips and you’re sitting up, belt clicked around your frame by long fingers.

The driver waits patiently as your boyfriend closes the door and jogs to his side, opening and closing it before giving the directions to your shared flat as you lean over into him heavily.

“I like your smile,” you push out, gripping his waist tightly, nuzzling his shoulder.

Kyle watches, face bright and teasing as his arm loops your body to pull you into him. This was turning out to be a good end to the night—he always knew you were a clingy drunk, but this was just sweet.

“Yeah?” He asks, pushing farther on with a smirk as the vehicle turns and continues on. “What else do you like about me, Love?”

“What isn’t there to like?” You hum, eyes blown and half-lidded. You’d crash soon, but Kyle wanted to get you ready for bed before that; at least into some pajamas and get your makeup off. He’d hate for you to wake up uncomfortable.

“Well,” the man teases, “can’t argue there.”

You laugh into him, uttering, “My head’s spinnin’.”

Kyle’s face becomes a bit more understanding, worrying even when he knows it’s normal. “We’ll be back soon, yeah? Get you off to bed—you can tell me about how dashing I am in the morning, okay?”

“Deal,” you whisper, vision blurring as a hard kiss is placed on your head.

The man does as he promised himself he would, and soon after you’re, difficulty, dressed into pj’s, he’s kneeling down as you sit in your vanity seat, spreading micellar water on a cotton pad.

“C’mon, Love, keep those eyes open for me.” The item is moved along your cheeks as your lashes flutter. You’d take a shower in the morning, Kyle just wanted you to get some rest. “There we are, then….Beautiful.”

Humming under your breath, you blink at him as he takes off your mascara, using another pad to not spread the particles around when he starts on the other eye.

“You’re perfect,” you whisper, still under the alcohol’s effects but not lying for a mere moment. “S’good to me.”

The Brit feels his cheeks go hot, clearing his throat at the praise and your sleepy expression.

Lord…you looked adorable.

“I’m a lucky bloke,” he utters to you, standing back up and kissing your forehead. “Couldn’t ask for a better woman to be around.” Kyle huffs a chuckle. “Even when she’s drunk, she’s complimenting me. You’re an ego boost, Love. A dangerous one.”

Even if you only registered half of those words, you still know the way he picks you up and carries you to bed, settling you down before flicking off the lights.

“Water’s on the nightstand—meds, too,” he mutters into your scalp as he slips beside you, pulling the covers up around both of your bodies. “I’ll remind you when you wake up.”

His hand rubs up and down your skin, thumb massaging the flesh in tiny circles that leave your mind purring at the slight pressure. Kyle’s lips are at your hairline, not leaving there as he holds you lightly to him, humming in the back of his throat.

“Love you,” you slur for the millionth time that night.

Kyle has no problem answering for a billionth.

“Love you too, Sweetheart. You go on and sleep now.”

So, with little resistance, you do.

He really was the definition of the perfect boyfriend.

me: [looks at calendar, gets a wicked idea, looks into the camera] happy springtime, turtle fam! who's ready to celebrate the season?

...mating season, that is. hehe. [dodges the tomatoes]

so! i had the idea that it would be super fun to have a community-wide event where we all have a prompt and then everyone fills it in their own way.

...i then decided all the prompts i came up with were too good not to use, but also none of them were Good Enough to use exclusively, so i changed my mind and the prompt is now just MATING SEASON. with a few suggestions at the bottom of this post if you're looking for some.

since spring is coming upon us, i hereby invite everyone to join in the vernal festivities... which in turtle parlance, of course, means only one thing: write, draw, whatever your version of "mating season", then join me on march 1 to post it with the tag #TMNTSpringShellebration. we then shall browse the fine selection of our mutual artistic efforts, and basically just have a good time as a community.

here are the prompts i came up with as starters-slash-things-to-include if you're looking for a place to get started. feel free to use these at will, or use them to come up with something of your own:

"when do i post it?" march 1. whenever on that day. waves hands around in a vague gesture at time zones not mattering. seriously don't take this so seriously it's just me wanting to create cool shit with my friends with a little more structure to it

"does it have to be horny?" i mean. it's an event about mating season. so by definition it's going to be at least a little horny. but however you interpret it is cool. even if it's just. idk. leo sitting sweatily in a chair looking longingly at a glass of water bc he's thirstier than usual. be smart about things, people. i'm not your dad.

"which tmnt verse is this for?" whichever one you want it to be for!! rise! bayverse! 2007! your fan iteration! your friend's fan iteration! your mortal enemy's fan iteration! yes!

You in the market for a sweet n’ sassy performer? Fizzarolli is the one for you! My man lives for being dramatic, although he doesn’t always need to be the center of attention. Fizz is more than happy to share the spotlight~.

Shenanigans is the word that best describes this relationship. Fizz will play harmless pranks and playfully tease you constantly. A lot of the time, he’s filming too (but won’t post it to his socials if you don’t want him to). Of course there are times when you'll need space, and in those cases, Fizz just goes to bother Blitzø.

Speaking of- Hangouts with Blitzø are pretty frequent. I hope you can tolerate threesome jokes, because Blitzø will make them. Most of the time, the two bicker with each other, with Fizzarolli relying on you for backup.

One of his favorite activities is singing with you! Doesn't matter if you're good or not- Fizz just loves the thrill of singing along to your favorite songs together.

On that same note (hehe), Fizz loves solos (watching and performing). So whether it's you cheering him on or vice versa, taking a moment to feel like a rockstar does wonders for your self-esteem.

Fizz will often do this thing where he pretends something is a microphone, and he'll act as if you're a celebrity on the red carpet. It's a fun way for Fizz to flirt with you; complimenting your outfit, hair, accessories, etc.

loves pampering you (and himself), so expect lots of self-care supplies to take over your bathroom. Nail polish, cuticle oil, face masks, scented lotions- you name it, he probably has it.

I imagine Fizz suffers from some chronic pain due to his scars and injuries. I also think that his skin is super sensitive because of the burn scars. I also think because of that, he'd be very particular about the skin care products he picks out.

In the beginning of your relationship, Fizz will have lots of reservations regarding physicality. His main concern is that the texture of his burns, and the scars themselves will freak you out, and you won't find him attractive.

Later on, when he's more comfortable, Fizz loves cuddling - though, if you have any boundaries surrounding physicality, he'll adhere to them. If not, be ready to have him hanging on you all the time. A robotic limb draped across your shoulders, his head leaned against yours, a hand caressing your back, fingers tracing your palms- Fizz just loves being in contact with you.

spontaneity, impulsivity, and creativity- the lethal trifecta. Fizz’s mind almost never stops. Some days, he’ll be brimming with ideas, songs, comedy bits- others. Others, his mind is racing with insecurities, and overwhelmed by the need to do everything at once. He has the tendency to bounce from one task to another, so sometimes, you’ll find half the laundry folded, the dishes clean, but not dry, or hastily written reminders on post-it notes scattered on counter tops and mirrors.

He tries not to show them often, but Fizz has a lot of insecurities. They range from him not being attractive enough to full-on crises regarding his self-worth. If you struggle with the same issues, you both can be pillars for each other, offering comfort and support when needed. Regardless, comfort and reassurance are very important to Fizzarolli, and they play a big role in the relationship.

I decided to watch helluva boss and imma do 2 separate posts for seasons 1 and two (why did I write it like that…?)

Season one

God I love this show. The writing is way more my speed than Hazbin hotel on Amazon, I enjoyed the writing in the pilot, but once Amazon took over the humor just didn’t really land for me, and tbh the plot took over and I started focusing more on that, and in general I’m more partial to the rapid fire YouTube dry comedy and this sentence is a friggin mess- I found HB SO FREAKIN FUNNY

Dude when he goes “FUCK, a new hole” I lost it

“Just try and sue us”

“We’re rich and we’re hot”

“I can just buy all the things!”

“You should commit die”

“Hehe, Trumpet!”

These are just my kinda lines, I don’t know how to explain it, I was wheezing all throughout the season

The music OH LORD when I say I’ve listened to stolas’s lullabye, lulu land, cotton candy, and house of ozmodius like 100000 times I’m… exaggerating but like you get the point the music here is friggin fantastic I also really like how a lot of the music is diegetic, I think that’s a fun touch. I don’t remember whether this is the case in Hazbin, but in this one it was like… I don’t know, it made sense that they were singing when they were singing… am I articulating myself well? I don’t care, iykyk if not, no prob

The animation is great, Viv loves them spinny shots and I am here for it. The amount of genuinely amazing action scenes is super impressive, and even the chill scenes have a ton of personality

The voice acting might be what steals the show for me, idrk anyone’s names cept Alex Brightman but BLITZS VA NEEDS AN AWARD, also slight tangent but I don’t know what it is with stolas’s va but he sounds a lot like a bird in the same sense that Gary Oldman sounded a lot like a bird in Kung Fu Panda 2, what is it that casting directors recognize in actors that screams bird?! Because both of these men are just SO BIRD DOES ANYONE GET WHAT I MEAN moving on, Ozzie’s voice was also effing PERFECT it slid silkily over me like… silk butter or smtg it was the perfect lust voice, I loved it. Everyone else was also great, but they were extra great.

It was also just so fun? Like in hazbin there’s very little just… shenanigans to enjoy, nothing wrong with that because it’s not that type of show, whereas this season is jam packed with them. Like I’ve heard that everyone hated episode 4, but like I don’t know I loved it😆 I just found it to be good old fashioned chicanery, and I liked the chaos and stupidity of it, made for some entertaining TV. This story engine is just mad entertaining for me.

I also enjoyed the writing of most of the characters (Millie, Moxxie, Loona, and Octavia still leave a bit to be desired imo, but whatever, they can’t all be winners and there’s nothing wrong with them) Blitz kinda reminds me of a Barney Stinson type character, which I really enjoy, and I also really like how his boss persona kinda infects everything he does while simultaneously being what’s screwing him over, his nature is kinda like a snake swallowing its own tail, which is tragic and beautiful, and Stolas compliments him well by being, not an enabler, but… I don’t know a clever way to say this… Stolas is a wreck in the best way and he just works. He’s short sighted, like extremely so, like how he thinks sleeping with Blitz will fill his emotional void so he does it but it just drives them further apart so it’s like he’s in a hole and in order to get out he’s gonna dig to pile up dirt so he can climb out but he’s an idiot and that’s a stupid idea and I loved his whole arc. Very enjoyable stuff drama.

Kinda random but whoever Viv’s foli artist is also deserves an award, the sound effects in this show are pristine and it’s incredible (yes I’ve seen the scene where the gun sounds go off a few seconds too late, and yeah, mistakes happen, but every bone crunch sounds and other stuff like that being so enunciated in an indie show is extremely impressive)

Anyhoo, very fun, very emotional, nice to look at, very funny, yada yada- altogether great season 1.

Anyways…oh Verdigris, I’ve come up with so many extra bits and pieces to her lore in the past month or so and I didn’t really get to talk about her in the first place, so I’m glad that someone’s interested (this is gonna be so long, I can feel it)

First things first, we’ll get the big thing out of the way: her arcane skill. Kind of a big part of her story is how she is a “plant whisperer”, which means that she’s able to hear the voices of plants and therefore communicate with them. This made her form a prominent sense of empathy for plants, as they are unheard by everyone except her.

(Now, a lot of the things I’ll mention about Verdigris will make a lot more sense)

So a fun little fact is that plants have a “way of speaking” that sounds more poetic than your normal speech, since they’re just describing things based off of what they know from nature. And because of her arcane skill, Verdigris does talk like them a little (which just comes off as being poetic/dramatic). Another thing that comes with this “way of speaking” are “Titles of the Plants”, which is the thing that you remind the plants of, that they therefore refer to you by (Vertin is “The Wandering Wind”, Sonetto is “The Shade in Daylight”, etc).

Why am I mentioning this? Well but of course it’s for yuri reasons! Because this is the perfect way for Verdigris to subtly and sapphic-ly pine for a certain arcanist by the title: Ray of Sun (and who this refers to is not disclosed). She mentions this “Ray of Sun” quite frequently in her diary, which I’d imagine could be one of those pages of text you can find between stages, as well as in her intimacy voiceline (which I haven’t written, but we can imagine, okay).

Anywho…when it comes to interacting with other arcanists, Verdigris is very much the most likeable out of my three ocs here (she’s just a cinnamon roll, not toxic or hard to communicate with). So she gets along with basically everyone in the suitcase. Chaotic or calm, she’s patient enough to talk to them. Tho she’s the closest with Lilya I’d say, since they’re bonding over a shared language/heritage and shut up, it’s adorable. Especially since Verdigris didn’t have anyone to speak Russian to for a long time (she lived in Spain, that’s why) and Russian was her mother’s language (she never got to meet her, so it holds special significance to her (things are getting angsty haha)). This problem was the whole reason she created her own critters actually. But hey, now she has someone and the vibes are good again.

As for their dynamic, it’s obvious that they have a “balancing each other out” situation, and I like to call it “Lilya and her designated driver” as a joke. But truthfully, Verdigris is surprisingly down with most of her shenanigans and no one understands why. Lilya kinda just wants to show Verdigris all the “fun stuff” she usually does, and she just goes along with it while some of the other arcanists watch them in horror (they’re just having a good time tho). When Verdigris is busy, Lilya would go visit her workshop to see what she’s doing like: "What you making, Verdie?:]" (she finds it interesting).

Considering what she does, I feel like Verdigris would probably be crossing paths with Medpoc kinda often as well (hehe). Verdigris just isn’t super affected by Medpoc’s hostility, and still treats them very well after getting yelled at. Once they warm up to her tho, she kinda becomes their emotional support (aka the person they rant to while she hands them a cookie or smth), and they’d pass out together while working across from each other, since neither of them remember to sleep (or do anything else).

I also think that she could help Shamane repair and/or upgrade his mechanical arm (since that’s kinda her specialty), and in turn gain a new father figure. Shamane would definitely like her Dendrogues and greet them when he sees them hopping around as well.

Some honourable mentions are the other calm healers (Dikke and Tooth Fairy). Dikke would grow fond of Verdigris for how fair and thoughtful is, but she'd tell her to not be so tolerant of everything. As for her and Tooth Fairy’s situation, they actually have pretty similar vibes, so they’d probably do some somewhat questionable things together that aren’t so questionable if they’re doing it, like baking together (there’s definitely no tooth fairies in the muffins they’re making, don’t question the taste of plums) and going out into the forest to look for teeth.

Oh right! Verdigris also has a small interaction with Pristine after implanting the new heart she made for her, since Pristine’s original heart (crystal) is the thing that makes her body possessable to Arcana (there’s some context from this post that is needed to understand what I’m talking about). This is a big plot point in Pristine’s story, so guess who’s growing attached to Verdigris. Yeah, she kinda just follows her around whenever she sees her from there on out, maybe even tugs on her sleeve saying “Where art thou headed to? Let me go with thee!” (Welcome to motherhood, Verdigris!)

this post got really long so uh its gonna be all under the cut teehee

honestly i think that theyre the typa couple that acts divorced but they have a super healthy relationship they just like to goof around and know each others boundaries

they both know what triggers the other and stays away from those type of things. they can be soft and will do it mostly in private bc they have a reputation to uphold but when the situation calls for it they wont hesitate to be comforting and soft out in the open.

also because mass was raising maine, when mass made like a good decision and said no to something maine would run and complain to york and york would saunter in all like hey the kid can have another cookie before bed! and mass is like bro PLEASE he will be off the walls i wont get any sleep please and york gives it to him anyways and then mass leaves him to suffer the consequences of his own actions hehehe.

i also think that since both the mta and mbta have their issues they will argue over which one is worse not better. and it will usually end in mass winning bc the mbta is the oldest subway system in the country and so a LOT of it still hasn't been updated bc of the constraints of the layout of the cities and towns. and york accepts defeat but basically goes "ok lets get you to bed grandpa" akljsdfhas

OH ALSO both mass and ny are very pigeon populated so id like to think they send messages with pigeons for fun :3 they can text but its nice to send a letter by pigeon once in a while, and it can also lead to some silly shenanigans.

mass once took york on the swan boats during the spring and then after that they walked through all the flowers and sat on the grass under a willow tree next to the water listening to the musicians and watching the painters and york nearly bawled bc it was so peaceful and beautiful.

similarly for new years york takes him right into times square for the ball drop and they get front row seats and have so much fun and share a kiss as the ball drops and every year they save the glasses and confetti as a souvenir.

id also like to think that york is a skier and mass snowboards. so they go together and do runs together in the winter. they go nightskiing/boarding as well which is always so much fun, doing tricks and flips in the dark illuminated by the spotlights. and then after they go to the lounge and drink cocoa and have waffles (for some reason waffles have been served at every ski mountain I've been too in new england)

they both have some of the best ballet companies as well. so they both dance very well. no this is not me self indulging as a person who did ballet since i was five what are you talking about. they both will attend each others nutcrackers every wintertime and they love dancing with each other. they will put on the soundtrack in their homes and dance out each scene together (i do this also bc i am deranged and mentally ill and i love the nutcracker <333)(its a good workout)

both the states excel in a lot of things so they love to do those things together ig is the gist of all that aksljdfhas

oh yeah and they both LOVE hugs, big ol squeezes. and they can just stand there for a long time. in comfortable silence. <3

i think thats all the ideas i have for now but there will always be more hehe

in reply to your recent post about the pirate au asks: i mean, what is there to say except for "tell us everything"? you mentioned coming up with a storyline in the tags, so im obviously wondering about how the characters met, esp phoenix and miles and phoenix and maya. also, the angst?? did you implement the dl-6 incident/disbarment/any other canon angst into this somehow? so yeah, whatever you can tell us, i'm happy with it. also my god is your art good, i'm endlessly fascinated by the sketches

hehe well EVERYTHING is definitely a lot to tell but i can answer specific things like how miles and phoenix meet (and meet. and meet again) and the beginning of phoenix and maya's friendship, but half the credit also goes to my beloved wonderful friend @/rendevok for allowing me to scream in her dms ^^

so! maya and phoenix :) they meet after the disaster that is the Hawthorne affair, where dahlia accuses phoenix of murdering another man, and he's saved by the wits of one mia fey, a clever blacksmith who's looking for a way to restore her family name after... less than pleasant events in the past. she later takes on phoenix as an apprentice, bc no one else would want to deal with a commoner who's made an enemy of nobles, even if they were at fault in the end, bc the social game is dangerous

obviously, mia's efforts end about as well as they do for her in canon, and she's murdered for her snooping. phoenix then meets maya, and after helping her keep the family smith in the aftermath of the suspicions over her sister's death, they both get into shenanigans over the next couple of years, out of their incessant need to help, and their talent of literally not being able to stay out of the center of attention (unintentionally), maya is essentially phoenix's partner in arms, all through the days of the smith, up until they're forced to skip town on a stolen ship with one trucy and one pearl in tow

miles and phoenix are far more complicated than they ever need to be, but that's like, half the fun yk? they've vaguely met when they were kids, and miles obviously still inspired phoenix's general moral code. But, gregory still dies, miles is still taken in by the von karmas and all of a sudden he's just a ghost in phoenix's memory.

fast-forward years later, and miles has definitely heard phoenix's name around, especially since the mia's death. how phoenix makes a habit of taking on strays and giving them the help they need to not end up alone, and his sheer blind faith in people, and it's almost too uncomfortably close to home for miles. still, he somehow manages to actually meet phoenix! a very limited number of times though.

Miles still has a high position as an advocate, and phoenix still is only a very busy blacksmith, and travel isn't as fast as it is in the modern day. But nevertheless, phoenix's words and conversations do enough to spark the need to truly understand what went on during his father's death, it's just only unfortunate that he decides to go about it on his own (but like. Think him solving this mystery with the help of his aai buddies so he's not completely alone :))

He still leaves, and phoenix watches him go, and as happy as he is that miles is trying to figure these things out, he wishes he could help, or make him stay. what's worse is that the world's worst game of telephone ensues and now phoenix hears news of the "miles edgeworth chooses death" bit, so fun times for everyone orz

but then the gramarye affair occurs, and all of a sudden there's a bounty on phoenix's life for hiding a murderer and possessing (faked) evidence linking him to it all. it's not a situation he can talk himself out of, so he runs with his family in tow and disappears onto the sea. And miles isn't there.

So his canon disbarment era is essentially his piracy era, and the changes are obvious. He's more jaded and cynical, and painfully efficient to a fault. You wouldn't be able to recognise the humble blacksmith anywhere in those eyes, and he knows it. whatever was left of him was buried onshore before they set sail, and he hasn't looked back since.

Miles only hears brief hearsay about the events of the gramarye affair and he's absolutely stunned because there is no way the phoenix he remembers could ever be the same as the criminal they're describing who's disappeared, but it's been long enough that he hesitates at the thought of searching for the man himself, he's not sure his presence would be warmly received either. However he doesn't have to wonder anymore, bc his latest voyage is interrupted by a pirates ambush, and it's led by the ghost of a man he never thought he'd see again.

From then on its only a matter of miles being taken as hostage, and as a bargain, receiving phoenix's word that if miles can beat the captain at a duel, he'll let him off scot free. But obviously it can't be that easy, where else would 90% of the tension in the story come from then?

and that's pretty much part of the set up for the au hehe, i wrote a whole heck of a lot and i hope you enjoy reading it holy hell fnkskf

Also, holy heck in a handbasket. Why are you also not an EBG participant? I've seen you on a couple blogs, notably, Meirin's and Dresvi's, and I really enjoy your shenanigans.

I like how you take things in unexpected directions. I thought the whole idea of bringing the Adepti in as players in Meirin's blog was such an amazing choice. You have a lot of talent in writing different sorts of characters, and I like it a lot.

I also like how you can find a way into blog arcs. With the way you write, you're flexible enough to push the writers on the other end just enough to get them to open up into the lore they have. I remember you pushing Elzer in Dresvi's blog just enough to drop little tidbits about the general lore and the fire situation that's apparently going on in there.

Also, do not get me started on how entertaining it is to watch you start up shenanigans in Meirin's tea house. It's so much fun to read your shenanigans.

I never know what I'm gonna get when I see you as an asker, and that makes it fun.

Like with Risu, I hope that you do end up being an EBG participant. I'm honestly amazed by how much mastery you have for different character voices. But even if you don't, it's been fun watching you cause a lot of fun shenanigans. I hope you continue to cause all the chaos.

A lot of wonderful friends (most notably @meimeimeirin @floraldresvi @moraxsthrone and @localplaguenurse) have been really inspiring me to write more and kinda... open up more? feel more comfortable with myself in my blog? bc I always had this idea of being kinda "anon" and be a little removed from my own posts and writing, but they've given me courage to be myself and have fun and do what I want and that includes selfshipping which I never really... did much? But it's so much fun! It's so fun to RP, to share silly little headcanons and ideas, to express your love and happiness for characters, and share that supporting others too and making them happy! Anyway wow I got sappy. Point is, I do hope to kind of... introduce myself/my OC and be a little more "me" about my bias if that makes sense? because that is what the ebg is all about (I think?) that funny and weird "hey this person who loves X character is now forced to get out of their comfort zone and simp for Z instead lmao"

OKAY SO admittedly I mostly only know the story through reading Guz’s wiki page a few times (teehee) and through osmosis from the general fandom dsgjkl, i want to play the game one day and maybe read the manga, and I’ve watched the anime eps he’s featured in and that’s all i’m watching of that LOL. I haven’t actually experienced much of his story (or su/mo in general) first-hand myself though fdsjkl

answer below the cut because.... the rambler's curse got me LOL

after the events of su/mo, I don’t think he’d actually disband Team Skull because… what is the point of that honestly LOL, so Team Skull stays together in MY version of the world hehe. they’re required to do community service to make up for whatever shenanigans they get up to, but they stop stealing pokemon and move onto just like… graffiti and casual pranks and stuff. they still cause trouble, but it’s mostly mischief now rather than any actual crime. I set them up to work on murals for shop owners around the islands so they can spraypaint and be artistic that way rather than randomly tagging walls and getting into trouble for it fjdskl. they keep their disdain for authority figures and rules because at the end of the day most of them are rowdy teens who feel outcasted from society, and that’s just the way the ball rolls with them (also a certain level of that is healthy and warranted tbh). I work with Plumeria to organize events and outings (outside of community service) for the squad though, which helps give everyone healthier outlets for their energy and focus.

Hala mentors Guz to help put him onto (and keep him on) the right track, and Guz learns to appreciate the islands and their traditions a bit - even if he still doesn’t agree with all of them. Part of that mentorship is also sort of therapy (in a more holistic naturally-occurring way rather than like... clinical therapist sitting with patient), so trauma gets unpacked and healthier ways of handling emotions are learned and implemented. Also fuck the Aether Foundation HFDSJKL I keep Guz far away from Lusamine and make sure she never gets close to him again (idk what Gladion and Lillie get up to, I haven’t thought enough about them yet fsjkl). There’s a lot of healing and self-improvement and learning how to Be A PersonTM for both of us tbh!

Beyond that, it is mostly just regular Alola/island living!! Beach visits, walking around, getting ice cream and popsicles, casual battles with tourists, catching wimpods, all that sort of thing :] Also we visit Sinnoh (my home region) for half the year (i have… a whole schedule worked out for that actually LOL) so there’s that, too.

as for the plushie omg thank u sm WAUGH :D i cannot tell if it’s just because i have a weird hodge-podge skillset but i DO think it is not actually all that difficult !!! you just need a pattern for cutting the felt and then I learned the ladder stitch for hand-sewing, and it’s been very straightforward on how to sew the pieces together!! the hardest part so far has just been the hair because I have a difficult time translating 2D images to 3D reality in that way.

I just really want to encourage ppl to try their hand at new crafts and creative skills because I think it’s really fun and honestly really good for ppls well-being!! i am very passionate about making creativity accessible to people as much as possible!!! maybe i could make a tutorial or smth… the pattern I'm using is free and available on the creator’s website, and it’s genuinely not that difficult esp compared to some other things i’ve tried my hand at in the past LOL I feel like some of my paper mache projects have been more complex than this lil goober!!

◇ a/n ◇ so... a little background (or more like a mini story here lol)... i first discovered yuan yang (which is basically coffee mixed with tea + milk) when i first studied abroad. no idea if that was even the correct pinyin but that's what i saw on the menu so i'm going with it lol absolutely did not like it at first bc it tasted weird. but then i got a second cup… then a third… then a fourth…….. this is how addiction starts kids

while it’s not my absolute favorite and i don’t normally go for it unless i'm specifically craving for it, i thought it was a fitting title for these teahouse-related shenanigans and the 'implication' that coffee (me) and tea (zhongli) make a good drink when mixed somehow hahah

lastly, i had so much fun with this, esther!!! thank you for hosting this lovely collab therefore allowing me to have an excuse to write about my selfships more yay ALSO happy birthday!!! 🎂🎉 i hope you enjoyed reading this silly self-indulgent chonker of a writing and liked the little 🎁 i included at the very end <3

❦ 𝐡𝐞𝐚𝐝𝐜𝐚𝐧𝐨𝐧𝐬 ❦

zhongli learns to brew coffee from me and i learn to brew tea from him. it’s as much of a fruitful exchange as our regular bonding activity (read: him telling me stories and traditions of olden liyue and the art of tea making as i stare dreamily at the way his lips move and the soothing lilt of his voi- ok i'll stop now-).

i might have watched a little too intensively as zhongli tamps the coffee grounds because??? the veins on his hands???? they pop even more????? hskdjskdjlsdjldfhdkshd

oh that note, as he watched me try to measure the tea leaves to brew for the first time, he realized that i have a small mole at the base of my pinky. it has since then become one of his favorite spots to kiss.

zhongli mostly dresses in hanfu whenever tending to the teashop because i said i love seeing him in them it matches the aesthetic of the traditional-esque place. his hair is either down or braided with a few fresh flowers slipped in (courtesy of me hehe).

that being said, he still helps out in the funeral parlor from time to time! the parlor does need its best consultant and hu tao is practically one of our many granddaughters at this point…

if the patrons hear a loud “NAINAI YOUR FAVORITE GRANDDAUGHTER HAS ARRIVED!” they know the tea house is about the get rowdy lol

“director hu, kindly refrain from saying such things outloud, there has been a misunderstanding spreading in liyue saying about us being secretly adepti couple whose descendants are living all around the harbor-” “now now, yeye, is that how you talk to your loveliest, adorable-est granddaughter?” “……….. *sigh*”

xiao drops by every now and then because zhongli insists, and i know he obeyed because it’s the one and only rex lapis’ request, but i hope someday he does it of his own volition - that is, because he actually enjoys visiting us.

ever since we got married, he also adores selecting traditional dresses for me to wear (seems like menogias taught him a thing or two, bless him), adding them to my wardrobe collection wordlessly and only smiling when i confront him about it while wearing said new clothes. he knows my fashion sense is lacking that 80% of the time i’d rather spend my energy doing something else than clothes shopping so he takes that matter into his own hands!

lowkey also because people who know him would take one glance at the geometric patterns and color schemes of said clothes and immediately go ‘wait those patterns and accessories look familiar… oh, of course, that’s unmistakably zhongli xiansheng’s wife-’

scarves aren’t really a popular fashion choice in liyue but whenever the weather gets a little too cold, i would happily ‘bundle up’ with a self-heating, occasionally purring, golden-brown colored ‘scarf’ with a scale-like pattern around my neck.

(no, you most certainly did not see it move. move along now.)

vortex vanquisher is mounted behind the reception desk’s wall as a decoration. you know. just in case. :)

the teahouse has a few private rooms which were built over time as we were able to expand out/up. they all have different themes and we have names for (almost) all of them; ranging from liyue’s local specialties to subtle references of zhongli’s adepti friends. some popular ones include:

═ 𝑐𝑜𝑟 𝑙𝑎𝑝𝑖𝑠 room

orange/gold themed. a geologist’s dream. has a massive display case of a collection of raw cor lapis rocks along with some pretty pebbles. the pieces of furniture inside the room are made of charred sandbearer wood, the darkened brown making it a perfect complement to the bright and shiny cor lapis decors and embellishments. i think this is probably our most expensive room from the patrons’ view… (actually it isn’t, since zhongli found and mined those ‘expensive’ gems himself...)

═ 𝑔𝑙𝑎𝑧𝑒 𝑙𝑖𝑙𝑦 room

soft blue/grey themed. the cozy room couples as a homage to guizhong. the bell used to call a waiter/waitress is a close replica of the cleansing bell. we also have a guzheng on display. madam ping loves this room and would help to take care of the guzheng and even play the instrument for us sometimes.

═ 𝑐𝑟𝑎𝑛𝑒 room

white/sky blue themed. there’s a huge crane art piece hung at the center of the back of the room’s walls. it's filled with a number of amusing contraptions and blueprints that to normal people's eyes, look like some kind of abstract painting. a room heavily inspired by cloud retainer’s aesthetics. most of the adepti who visit us would use this room (much to its original muse’s annoyance) because it’s located the furthest from the public seating area.

═ the 𝑜𝑟𝑖𝑔𝑖𝑛𝑎𝑙 / first private room

aka the ‘confession room’. we have no idea how that label got there….... actually. no, we do. one time, a regular patron asked us to book the room so he can propose to his lover. since they’re a close friend of ours, we agreed to help him plan and decorate the whole thing…. and it made headlines in the local papers somehow. rumors then begin to spread that if you go to that specific room to propose you’ll definitely be accepted and your marriage will be blessed…

honestly, there’s nothing too special about the room. it was our very first private room that we intended to use for our private break room, so it was built smaller than the others. the decorations lean towards simple and sophisticated, and we had some of our favorite trinkets scattered all around the little area.

legend says that sometimes when the shop isn’t busy, lucky patrons would be able to hear a beautiful duet of a flute and an erhu coming from the room. though they’re not at a level of a professional musician, the melody brings peace and warmth to the wary hearts…

❦ 𝐝𝐫𝐚𝐛𝐛𝐥𝐞 ❦

“mei, my beloved, i’m here!!!!”

zhongli looks up from his cup of tea, blinking slowly as he tries to register the foreign-sounding voice and the words in the loud greeting. while the endearment was a familiar title attached to his wife (her close friends tend to be rather forward and affectionate, from what he observed), it didn’t sit right with him when it came from a stranger. who on earth are this lady and her companion?

as if registering his alertness, a specific 'decoration' lightly vibrates from its spot on the wall. yet it stilled the moment he heard a familiar gasp and cry of happiness from his side.

“esther!!!”

hugs, pleasantries, and excited arrows of questions are swiftly exchanged. zhongli watches the two with a soft smile before glancing at the woman’s companion, who gave him a stiff nod. their two guests seemed to be about the same age... perhaps they were lovers? no, they seemed a little too distant for that. but there was something between them - that, he could at least tell.

mei seems to have just noticed the extra company too, for she was slightly taken aback and quietly relayed the question to the woman with a confused expression and a timid, “and this is…?”

“oh, he’s just, you know, some guy.”

“’some guy’?” his wife tilts her head in question, eyes observing the man’s attire (momentarily he feels like berating the young man for dressing up so provocatively - that is until he remembered his beloved’s remarks the other day about his choice in his archon-wear), “….. oh! is he the ‘al haitham’ you’ve been writing to me in our letters-”

“MEI.”

“hm?” the silvery green strand of hair on top of said male’s head twitches as if it was a whole being by itself, “what’s this? you write about me to your friend? i’m most flattered.”

with a pair of fiery eyes and both hands on her hips, this ‘esther’ girl turned towards her friend(?), “oh, you’re most welcome. i told her about how aggravating and insufferable you are, mr.i-have-perfect-scores-on-all-my-subjects.”

“truly? and if i am so aggravating and insufferable as you say, then pray tell, what stopped you from ditching me back in sumeru city?”

“because, unfortunately, the stupid archaic liyuean language’s professor paired me up with you of all people for this project!! and there’s no way in hell i’m letting you sit idle while i do most of the work! mind you, i can definitely achieve a perfect score by myself, but the entire rainforest section of sumeru will burn to the ground before i wilfully let you coattail my achievements!”

“based on the most recent test, i doubt you could. unless your definition of a ‘perfect score’ is a mere 99.8%, to which i would have to refute, seeing as i managed to achieve a 100%.”

“oh my god i’m about to pop a blood vessel- then what about the previous test before that, huh? did you forget who got a 100% AND an extra credit for that, you arrogant little-”

“ahem. dear, why don’t you escort your guests to the glaze lily room? i’ll bring you some tea shortly,” zhongli effortlessly moves to stand behind his wife, hand comfortingly placed on her back as he smiles politely at the two. there is nothing but warmth in his gestures, but they both had clammed up, suddenly feeling like misbehaving grandchildren who were being scolded by their grandfather.

his beloved, on the other hand, appears to have found this scene amusing, despite not being one to be comfortable with conflicts in general.

“yeah, good idea- by the way, this is my husband, zhongli,” had he was in his adeptus form, his tail would’ve thumped against the floor at the proud tone in her introduction. instead, he settled with a gentle nod in this mortal body, “’li, this is esther - the one from sumeru - if you remember me talking about her-”

“of course i do. i remember everything you tell me.”

“that you do,” she softened, hand coming up to caress his jaw lightly, and he resisted the urge to follow the warmth as it retreated, touch too fleeting and brief to his liking, “i’ll wait for you in the room, then?”

“take as long as you need to catch up with your friend. i can watch the store.”

“that’s alright, we can close the shop for a bit. i want you to get acquainted with her and this… friend of hers. besides, didn’t you two say you’re here for... what, some liyuean language project? i’m quite sure my very knowledgeable husband would have some valuable input on that.”

mirth fills her expression, and the playful nudge of her elbow onto his sides made him chuckle. way to take a jab at his age, he mused.

“i am in no way as knowledgeable as the esteemed students of the sumeru akademiya, but-”

“is that true? you know this language?”

the former archon raises his eyebrows as the two men exchanged glances. though people might mistake the sudden challenge as arrogance, he can clearly see the thirst for knowledge in the clear green-red tinted eyes.

a man defined by and attracted to competency.

… ah, so that’s how it is.

“i may be a little rusty, you must understand. they are rarely used nowadays, so i am quite out of practice.”

the fingers seeking out a smaller set beside him moves in an unconscious motion, but the way the daintier appendages curl around his almost reflexively made a genuine smile bloom on his expression, “if what little of my knowledge can help, then i will gladly extend my assistance, especially to my darling wife’s treasured friends.”

“oh you,” she snorts and rubbed his arm with her free hand, “he’s being humble. you’ll see.”

“you flatter me, dear.”

esther’s grin only widened at the interaction. she gives her friend a wink and an abstract motion with her fingers, “handsome, humble, and smart? you better keep a leash on this one.”

zhongli sneaked a glance at the geo choker on her wife’s neck before moving to her dark-colored eyes. redness colors the softness of her cheek as their gaze met, and the corner of his lips twitch threateningly. she bashfully runs from his gaze to roll her eyes at her friend, before grabbing her shoulders to steer them both towards the inner hallway of the private rooms.

“hush, you. come on now, off we go!”

as the two girls launched into an excited series of chatters, zhongli exchanged one last respectful nod with the other akademiya student and silently watched as he trailed behind the two. he doesn't miss the way al haitham's tense posture lessened, the edges of his sharp eyes softening as he specifically observed his friend. it’s a familiar look. one that he’s seen several times throughout the course of his long life.

zhongli chuckles as he starts preparing the osmanthus tea for their guests, all the while thinking about the matching clothes they would have to get tailored for in the future, when the invitation to attend the older version of those akademiya students’ matrimony event inevitably reaches their mailbox.

....

he’ll give it a few years. they seemed like a rather stubborn pair.

fae Peach as a nature guardian could be really interesting, maybe Plum and Grey are out on a vacation, going hiking or climbing or backpacking, and accidentally stumble into Peach's area, shenanigans ensue. they leave (because they want to, have to, Peach makes them, who knows) but when they're a ways off they realize some bigwig is coming in to clear a huge chunk of land for development, and they rush back to warn her, then help her, then probably rein her back in from doing too much retaliatory damage

(i feel like i accidentally stole this from a nineties movie 😅)

I love this, just two kids in the woods thinking they’re going crazy but it’s just an old as hell forest fae having some fun hehe!

The other option:

Greys part of the company sent to cut the forest down, and peach wholeheartedly fucks with him, can see there’s good in his heart, he’s just following orders as his whole family has without question, he fell into the trap. He totally gets hooked into her fae ways, starts to see the forests beauty, never slowed down to appreciate it before this. She shows him what he’s helping kill, and has a real sudden morality change. She planned to mess with him more but he took her side so fast, she didn’t have the time.

Plums an eco warrior tying herself to trees to try and stop them cutting them down. Proper little shit, putting all sorts in the engines of the bulldozers in the middle of the night, shredding tires with spike traps, generally being the workers worst nightmare. Peach adores this, a human with some spine, and while she wants to mess with her, it’d interrupt her chaotic plans. Instead she helps, and grants her gifts of luck and the forest rallies to her side to aid in the downfall of the developers. She doesn’t understand why her lucks been so good, even when they arrested her, something busted her out of the van. Stuck in cuffs but free she hides in the woods, where she’s finally confronted with the fae that’s been watching her the whole time, frees her and expresses how impressed she is with her human tenacity.

The trio work together to scare off the developers and ruin their plans.

My other idea is a first meeting with hopefully all the fun exciting beginnings of a friendship and potential romance. Coach Kataoka has volunteered himself and the team to help with the first planting for the new community garden near Seidou. A lot of work has already been done (cleared up the debris and garbage from the lot, figured out layout, built the shed and greenhouse, etc.), but there’s still a lot of work to do finish the raised beds and mix and prep the soil before the seedlings can go in, and that’s where the team comes in. Coach thinks this is a good way to warm them up and let loose a bit before spring training (I’d have to double check on the timing of the training/game schedule though to be sure of when it would be.)

This idea is less fleshed out, probably a one-shot. I just think it would be so much fun to be able to write teammate banter & dirt shenanigans! I also personally love vegetable gardening and it’s the beginning of planting season so it just feels very indulgent hehe. I haven’t fully decided who to center it on yet, but I’ve narrowed it down to Chris, Eijun, or Kuramochi. They all have very different energies, but I’m leaning toward Kuramochi because he’s kind of a dweeb and that’s endearing.

Don’t know how well it fits with his personality, but for you, I’ve conjured up some lines below!

“Watch out for th—!”

He lets go of Eijun and the ground falls out from under his feet, like one of those old old cartoons, he thinks wryly, as he pitches forward into thin air and hangs suspended for what feels like minutes. His hands automatically reach out, trying to grasp anything within reach to keep himself upright. His fingers close around the first thing they touch. He’s dimly aware of a shriek, then he lands flat on his back, something landing on his chest right after and knocking the wind out of him.

Shouts, heavy footsteps, muffled voices. “Everyone take a step back.” He recognizes the deep tenor of the coach’s voice.

Kuramochi cracks opens his eyes, everything’s a haze. It feels like there’s a weight on his chest keeping him from taking anything more than a shallow breath. Something itches his nose, and— The weight lifts (with a groan?), the dots clouding his vision clears, and he gasps, coughing and sputtering as he gulps a lungful of air. He props himself up, about to look around when—

“What the hell was that?!”

He leaps to his feet, spinning around (a bit wobbly still) to confront the person yelling at him. But the words die on his tongue when he sees you. Beside him, Eijun is apologizing profusely, Miyuki is egging you on, but Kuramochi just stands there dumbly while you scold them. (“Seriously? You’re supposed to be here helping prepare the community garden and the two of you are just dicking around instead. Both of you could’ve gotten really hurt! I could’ve gotten really hurt!”)

You stop to brush some of the dirt off your face and overalls.

“Sorry,” he mumbles, so uncharacteristically timid that even Eijun and Miyuki pause their antics.

You glare, not at all intimidated by him or any of the dozen other athletes crowding around you, and maybe that’s what makes his mouth run dry.

Ooo okay! This is a fun question! It’s no surprise that my favorite episodes are mostly Frankie or Clankie centered, but here are my top six favorites (I’ll try to put them in order with #1 being my top favorite, but it might be hard to choose haha):

Portrait of a Monster instantly became my favorite when it aired, and that hasn’t changed. I think a big factor is also just how much nostalgia I have for it. I know, it only came out a year ago; I feel like I don’t have the right to call it nostalgia JDJDJ. But for a time, I was watching it almost EVERYDAY. I had it downloaded on my computer 💀 so now that I don’t watch it all the time anymore, whenever I do watch it, it TRANSPORTS me be back to late 2022 when I was watching it. And this was around the time I was really passionate about G3. I still am, but my excitement was still very fresh in November of 2022, so it just made the excitement peak. Ahhh… good times. So yeah, overall, just have really happy, wonderful memories spending time with that episode :) <3

Crushed, as I’ve talked about before, just really resonates with me and has supported me a lot. Also, the story is relatable, the writing is fun, and there’s a little clankie hehe 👀

HOROSCARE IS GAY AND BEAUTIFUL AND BEYOND MY WILDEST IMAGININGS! The writing is so fun!! And it gave me a natural high watching it JDJDJ

For Monster Match, SAME AS ABOVE JDJD! Okay, but to add to it, clankie was confirmed (which is just so wonderful and amazing for the queer community in general; I love seeing us in media 🥹), I was hooked on Frankie’s motives (I was like “Frankie, hurry up get your gurl, I’m panicking over here T-T”), Deuce asking Frankie was so sweet and was like a crazy plot twist! So many sweet moments for so many characters, but especially Frankie and Cleo! Ahh, such a wonderful episode <3 and a great milestone for Frankie, Cleo, and the queer viewers!

What’s Up, Watzie? has so many fun little shenanigans of Frankie just trying to help out their Watzie 🥺❤️ lots of fun humor, sweet moments, and a good lesson about letting go to support yourself and others. Was harder to choose this one, since the top three are usually the easiest to choose lol, but I loved this episode and knew it should be in the top six

That Thing You Deuce, just like Portrait of a Monster, was an episode I watched a lot during my excitement about the new series. So I watched it a ton haha! Deuce is awesome, it has a lot of funny moments, and I think it’s just another “nostalgia” piece lol. But I really love this episode <3

GENERAL 1. Where can your Tav be recruited? Are they first encountered on the Nautiloid, or in the Nautiloid crash region? Or are they not recruitable until a later act? You can find Orchid at / around Auntie Ethel's house! He knows her already because he is a different hag's servant, and he's seen her around before. Hags are always up in each other's business, so I imagine she'd recognize him and bother him even if he tried to avoid her.

2. Do the other companions have special comments or reactions upon recruiting your Tav? YES. Astarion actually knows Orchid. I came up with him after watching the scene where Astarion admits that he couldn't bring himself to take someone to Cazador and got punished for it, and I was like "Oh, I can OC-ify this guy..." I've seen people interpret that man as being Sebastian, but that doesn't really make sense to me because he seems to imply that the man really got away? Also this game is my playground, and I make the rules now so. Even if that gets confirmed, I do not care, I love my OC too bad. ANYWAY, Astarion has a Moment when they meet again. Orchid also has a Moment. UNFORTUNATELY, they are both really good at covering up their Moments, so they both think the other doesn't remember them etc etc shenanigans ensue. They lie. They scheme. It's all very fun.

STORY SPECIFIC 1. How does your Tav advise the player character when it comes to the Dream Visitor? Orchid has mixed feelings about the Dream Visitor because he serves a hag that can literally look into / haunt his dreams to keep him in line, so he really does not trust like that at first. He'd advise against listening to them the first time they visit, but he'd be easily convinced to trust them based on the fact that they (and the tadpole) seem to be actually Blocking the hag from appearing in his dreams.

2. How do they advise the player character on Raphael? Oh, he super doesn't like Raphael just based on the fact that he's trying to strike a deal with them. He knows how easily deals and bargains can be twisted against you, especially with something so heavy. He'd definitely advise against listening to him.

ROMANCE 1. Is your Tav a romanceable character? Are there any specific requirements to romancing them? Yeah. :) He has a problem where he likes Mean people despite being generally morally good (a bit of a schemer and a liar most some of the time but not out of malice), so I think it'd be funny if the requirement to romance him was having negative approval. Like, if you have good approval with him and try to flirt, he's like "Awe, that's really sweet of you. Unfortunately, you're not my type :/" *looks over at astarion and sighs dreamily* 2. Does your Tav need to be flirted with to start the romance, or will they approach the PC themselves if approval is high enough? He'd need to be flirted with! He is very timid about romance, so he wouldn't approach first.
