I want to start adding sotm characters onto my toyhouse but ough. Its such a daunting task

#first I have to put each character onto the new ref sheet template I made #then each cat needs a headshot drawn for them as well as get their color pallet added to the ref #then I have to make each cat an icon for their profile #and then I've gotta describe them on their profile (ik at least this part is optional #but I can't not add info about a character to their profile. how will people learn to love them like I do #if I don't include info about each character I will explode) #it does soubd like a lot of work but I want each headshot and icon to be unique and to show a cat's personality #also I have a ginormous amount of cats so I have to do all of that work times 600 #ok tbh I'm not drawing every single cat in sotm only ones that hold some relevance unless I just think they're near #but thats still a lot of cats #at least 50-100 #I have already added swiftcloud moonpaw and snowfrost at least so that 3 less cats to go #and I've made refs for hazepaw otterpaw and darkfire too #oh I forgot I did add skunkpaw to my th as well #still. thats only a tiny handful. so many kitties to go #I will do it eventually but its gonna take forever #viti shoosh

#10. What's an au you have for them?

Since them meeting at all is technically an AU i have 3 different ways that they do meet up. There's the one where Juniper ends up with the agency/adjacent to and ends up working with Reggie (have written a fic with this). The next one is Juniper surviving but basically going stealth and living as normal of a life as he can and ending up meeting Reggie through chance (most recent fic I've written). And then there's my personal favourite where Reginald "You're lucky my tracking skills are still up to snuff" Crane keeping himself busy after Phoenix was MIA and finding Juniper still alive (fic I want to write but haven't started mainly because it may end up multi chapter).

In terms of more AU canon bending taking them and putting them in a completely unrelated situation...I have a guilty pleasure Warrior Cats AU for IEYTD in general. Both JJ and Reggie have perfect warrior cats suffixes in their names already (Juniper and Crane) so they're called Junipersong (charcoal bengal) and Craneflight (tabby Norwegian forest cat). It's very silly but the amount of scenes I have in my mind for it...good lord...

Augh my friend Imp wrote an absolutely excellent fic about it (tragically in the realm of unfinished Google docs) and I'm shaking their hand about it so hard. Basically Juniper kissing Reggie but he like wasn't ready/fully expecting it and Juniper absolutely panicking because he thinks he's misread every interaction between them both since they got closer. I've almost finished the last of my university work finally and I'm starting medication for my ADHD in a week so it does feel like there's a lil light at the end of the tunnel now

....while I haven't played the ubisoft avatar game myself, or more accurately, I have obsessively played the x360 one, I doubt it could be better than the Ancient Forest of Monster Hunter World.

I have. Never seen a jungle location be this layered, vertical and complex, while also remaining extremely readable. Like, there'a and easy route around the map and insides of a giant tree in the center of it, to act as a crossing or shortcut. However, the actual map is... so much more detailed than just this.

There are vine swing-jumping sections which open up new pathways for you, there are less noticeable vines to climb, which reveal new arboreal pathways ahead. There is an entire 'jungle-catwalk' section right near the dragon nest at the top of the giant tree. You cannot navigate these additional paths with map, it is much more simple and natural just to remember them and trust your memory on this.

It's just I have spawned in a rainy weather for the first time, and started exploring these vines, and this has been THE Avatar experience. Honestly no other game has ever made a more natural and interesting forest to explore than this one.

I genuinely did not anticipate this level of detail, beauty and meticulous attention to everything from a game about exterminating dinodragons. I picked it up for the Monster Hunter part of it the title, but let me tell you the World part is the actual gem of the game for me, I am in love with this.
