Bro, tbh, how do you deal with the trolls on AO3 when posting clexa?
It doesn't seem to matter what kind of story I post, there's always a rabid hater. Trans Lexa is a fedish, Trans Clarke is erasing Lexa's lesbianism, Clarke having past relationships, is her being a whore, Lexa having a abusive father is taking away from her being a strong character.
It honestly takes away from the joy of writing when the only type of comment I can depend on, is one saying I'm a shitty person for writing such a story.
Oof, sorry you're dealing with the trolls buddy 😞
My advice for troll/hate comments will forever be to not respond and delete them. They do not want to try and see the other side or even understand the basis of dont like dont read and let people write whatever the fuck they want. Misery loves company and truth be told the trolls going around are a bunch of pathetic transphobes and biphobes, they seem to get off on pissing off writers, they want attention, and they want to try and get you mad enough to delete the things you worked hard on. I know its very much easier said than done, but when i get hate comments i see them as a toddler throwing a temper tantrum. Its funny, in a pathetic way. Like those poor things really can't rub 2 braincells together and make a coherent argument that isn't "bi woman whore, lesbian strong and never suffers, dick is man vagina is woman". I wouldn't take valid writing criticism from a toddler so i sure as hell aint taking it from trolls with no reading interpretation skills.
I can totally understand how its absolutely unmotivating to get those comments. Ive seen a lot of recent fics be deleted because of them and its disheartening seeing how not only are people commenting less but how at this point posting a fic in the fandom needs to come with a warning of how you might get hate comments from a puritan shithead who believes themselves some sort of savior of the shit when in reality they are just helping kill a fandom. Im sorry that i dont really have any other advice for you, but if there is something i recommend is the no engage/delete comments. They might get tired, they might not. But the truth is that getting a response will always, always make them come back because they now know they can hit a nerve.
But please, dont let them stop you from writing what you like and makes you excited to create. If all they want is sanitized fics where characters are nothing but a one-layered piece of paper with family friendly romance and no conflict then perhaps they should not be in a grown-up space that isn't 100% tailored to them.

Lounging in the armchair of their living room, Theo can hear Stiles muttering to himself in the driveway about being late. It’s true, it’s well past ten o’clock when his boyfriend assured him he’d be home by eight. But, the chimera knows better than anyone how sucked into studying Stiles can get. He’s not even remotely mad. In fact, he’s got a surprise for his boyfriend. A gift of sorts.
The chimera is never one to kink shame. Ever. He doesn’t give a shit what someone likes. If it makes you happy and gets your rocks off, good for you. But every so often, there’s something that gets to Stiles that makes Theo excited. Really excited. The chimera will give his boyfriend literally anything he wants. Even if it means sitting here with boots, dark jeans, no shirt, and a Ghostface mask on.
He had jokingly put the thing on at a Halloween store last week, suggesting he goes as a notorious killer. Stiles had initially joked that Theo in fact used to be a notorious killer. But then his boyfriend turned around and saw him. Theo wasn’t wearing anything special that day. Just a dark red long sleeve shirt and some jeans. But fucking hell, Stiles’ knees visibly buckled when he tried to step closer. And Theo could hear his dry tongue sliding around his mouth like sandpaper. Not to mention the heady, intoxicating scent of Stiles’ arousal flooding the small aisle they were in.
Theo went back the next day and bought it without telling his boyfriend. He cannot wait for Stiles to walk through those doors and see it. It’s going to be perfect.
“Just had to fall asleep on the stupid book, didn’t you?” Stiles curses under his breath, keys jingling as he unlocks the front door. Their living room is in direct line of sight. Shutting the door behind himself, Stiles turns around, his bag dropping to the floor along with his jaw. “Holy-” his human’s throat locks up, muttering, “Theo.”
“Hey there, angel,” the chimera raises his hand, wiggling his clawed fingers. “Good day?” He asks, toying with his boyfriend.
Blinking rapidly, Stiles takes a clumsy step forward, arousal seeping into the air. “I was-” his boyfriend points towards the door, “I- studying.” Stiles clears his throat, “fell asleep at the library again. You bought the mask,” the words come out almost like an accusation.
It’s cute.
Theo stands up, squaring his shoulders so that his chest tightens. The spike in his boyfriend’s heart tells him he had the desired effect. “You liked it more than I did, angel,” the chimera rumbles low in his throat. “Tell me something,” he asks, “I know the whole thing is usually not knowing who’s underneath. But you’d smell me from a mile away, I made sure of that.” Stiles flashes his golden eyes to prove his point. “So is it the mystery that does it for you? Or the fact that this mask in particular belonged to a killer?” With his claws out, Theo wraps his hand around his boyfriend’s throat, growling in approval at the jump in pulse. “That I used to be a killer?”
Stiles’ eyes flicker again before he gulps, nodding in agreement.
Holding steady, the chimera circles behind Stiles, bringing his boyfriend’s back flush with his chest. Sucking his teeth, Theo drops his voice to a cooed whisper, “does someone miss the danger?” Stiles whimpers. “Is reformed Theo not enough for you anymore? You want your monster back?”
“Please,” Stiles whimpers.
“I remember sparks flying everywhere,” he says before whipping them around, pinning his boyfriend to the wall, “fucking you by the first person you watched me kill.” Tearing through his shirt, growling when he realizes he can’t bite at Stiles like he wants to. That’s okay, just this shy of breaking skin, Theo rakes his claws down his boyfriend’s ribs, growling at the way Stiles arches his back. “What was it I did when I caught you following me in the woods the second time?” Theo quips, “oh, right,” he turns Stiles around, grabbing him by the hips to stick his ass out.
“Theo,” Stiles gasps out, glowing eyes blazing.
Slamming his hips forward, he presses his hard dick against his boyfriend’s ass, earning him a groan. Theo leans down, growling, “I bent you over a tree and reminded you who you belong to.” Stiles’ claws scratch lines into the paint, muttering a barely audible plea. “So needy already?” The chimera teases, trailing a clawed finger down his boyfriend’s spine. “I’ve barely touched you, angel.”
“I’ve wanted you all day, Theo,” his boyfriend whines, “please.”
“Is that why I could hear you touching yourself when I left for work this morning?” Theo chuckles darkly, “did you fuck yourself on your fingers thinking about me?” The chimera grinds against him again, watching vibrant golden eyes roll back. Before putting his claws away, Theo shreds the remainder of Stiles’ clothes, snickering at the way he gracelessly toes out of his shoes. “Get ‘em wet,” Theo instructs, pressing his fingers into his boyfriend’s open mouth. He growls softly at the feeling of Stiles sucking his fingers.
Squatting down, Theo kneads the flesh of his boyfriend’s ass, slapping the skin over the goosebumps he’d created. “So pretty,” he admires the red tinge to the pale, mole dotted flesh. Testing the stretch, Theo chuckles, easily sliding two fingers past the ring of muscle. “I knew you’d still be open for me. Such a good little slut, aren’t you?” Stiles whimpers. “Yeah,” the Alpha teases, “you used more than your fingers this morning.”
“Fuck,” his boyfriend moans, legs shaking when Theo finds that bundle of nerves. That’s one of his favorite sights. “Theo, more, pl- shit,” Stiles cuts off on a guttural moan, the chimera having added a third finger, pumping faster and faster. He’s clenching so nicely around him. Just another second or two and- “Theo,” Stiles shudders, the salty scent of his cum filling the chimera’s nostrils. No doubt painting the door in front of him.
“That’s it,” Theo rumbles in his chest. Removing his fingers, the chimera pulls his pants down to his knees. Lifting the mask just enough to spit into his palm, Theo lowers it back down, lubing his throbbing cock. “I want another one before I fill you up, angel,” the chimera growls, thrusting his cock in full hilt. The warmth of Stiles’ body wrapping around him is nothing short of heaven. And that’s coming from an Atheist.
The other chimera whimpers, pushing his ass back against Theo.
“Fuck,” he breathes out, pulling his hips back, “I’ll never get used to it.” Theo cups his boyfriend’s ass, watching his cock disappear inside his clenching hole. “Just too fucking good,” the chimera groans, pulling out just to slam back in. The way Stiles purrs his moan from the action is music to his ears. When he does it again, Theo adjusts his angle, ramming into the bundle of nerves with force, earning him a breathless chuckle from his boyfriend.
“Says you,” Stiles hisses, Theo raking his claws against his ribs again. It gives his scent such a pretty twist to it. Filled with so much arousal that not even the mask can block it out. Theo gets all of it rushing straight to his brain springing his fangs out with the need to bite and claim. “Theo,” his boyfriend draws out his name on a whine at the punishing pace.
He only laughs, reaching down to wrap his hand around Stiles’ throat and yank him up until their bodies are flush. “Don’t worry, angel,” Theo teases, “I know you like it too.” Tapping into his Alpha strength, Theo rails into him, jabbing his boyfriend’s prostate with every harsh thrust. Stiles’ moans rise in pitch and frequency, making the chimera laugh again. “You make such pretty noises. Too bad I can’t bite you until you scream again,” the Alpha says much to his own dismay. He’d love for Stiles to be six different shades right now. “Guess these will just have to do,” he says, pinching his claws into his boyfriend’s neck, fucking into him harder.
“Oh my god,” Stiles whispers, head thumping back on Theo’s shoulder. Submitting himself to the onslaught of thrusts from the chimera. It’s beautiful. Theo’s favorite thing to look at if he’s being honest. His boyfriend in complete ecstasy from his body alone. “Th-Theo, I’m gonna cum.”
“So cum,” the Alpha snarls, snapping his hips, “I want you to make yourself nice and messy before I fill you up.” Stiles mewls, reaching back to hold the chimera’s neck. His other hand drops to his leaking cock, but Theo smacks it away. “Mine,” he growls, grabbing his boyfriend’s dick and pumping quickly. Erratically, just the way Stiles likes it. His walls clench around the Alpha and Theo fights to keep his own orgasm from coming forth.
Stiles growls, gritting his teeth before he cums with a cry, spraying his chest with pearly white ropes. “Theo, Theo, fuck,” he pants, the Alpha not even remotely stopping. Glad to see the flushed cheeks and swollen lips from biting them too hard. The glazed whiskey eyes and lazy grin.
If he plays it right, he can squeeze one more out of the other chimera. And Theo will be damned if he doesn’t try. Slapping Stiles’ ass for good measure, Theo lets go. Claws pinching into his boyfriend’s hips as he just ruts into him. Stiles is surely sensitive and lit up like a livewire, but Theo wants one more. Always, “one more, angel. I know you can do it,” he coos at the other chimera’s whined moan. “Come on,” the Alpha snarls, panting underneath the mask.
His boyfriend’s hand slams on the wall to stabilize himself, slumping from another orgasm pulsing through him. Theo howls his victory, “such a good slut,” he praises, thrusts faltering until he’s spilling his own release inside Stiles. The lewd sound filling the room, watching with red eyes as he fucks his cum back into his boyfriend. Slowing to a stop, Theo carefully pulls out, keeping his hold on Stiles so he doesn’t fall over.
Yanking the mask off, Theo tosses it aside, finally getting a good look at the mess he’d created. Pride rushes through him and he scoops Stiles up into his arms, nipping at his boyfriend’s hammering pulse. “You did so good, angel, so good. I’m so proud of you,” Theo continues to whisper gentle praises to a very fucked out Stiles, carrying him up the stairs to take a shower.
He’s very glad he bought the mask.

Am I back with yet another Steo AU? You betcha.
This time, it’s a reincarnation AU where your soul gets recycled when you die
And in one of his lifetimes, Theo gets involved in some weird, twisted experiments and he can’t die anymore, he’s stuck as an eternal 24-year-old
basically, he’s immortal and it takes him a painfully long time to realize this
ANYWAY- it’s in the early years of his immortality that he meets Stiles and Stiles worms his way into Theo’s heart
obviously, Stiles dies, and Theo, unable to accept it, goes searching for his soul
but the problem with reincarnation is that you never know when that soul is going to show up again and even if it does, they probably won’t be recognizable
so around 70 years after Stiles’s death, Theo gives up and decides that he’s just not going to fall in love again because it’s not worth it
ofc nothing Theo ever does goes according to plan, and he’s in Egypt when he stumbles into a pretty girl with long black hair who furrows her brows and asks “I’m sorry, have we met?”
It’s-no it can’t be-but it is and Theo knows it’s stupid but how can he stay away when Stiles is right there?
when Stiles dies this time, Theo doesn’t give up, he keeps searching
He doesn’t believe in destiny, but something brought Stiles to him, not once, but twice, and if that’s not a sign, what is?
Against all odds, he does actually find Stiles, but by the time he tracks him down, Stiles is in love with someone else
and it’s-it’s not fine- but it’s bearable because Theo knows that there will be plenty more lifetimes
but it happens again the fourth time Theo finds him
Theo doesn’t know what’s changed, but in each new lifetime, Stiles refuses to fall in love with him, and is increasingly more hostile, which shouldn’t even be possible
and Theo really should give up, but its Stiles and he’s willing to spend as many lifetimes as it takes for Stiles to believe that they’re meant to be together

Steo Week 2020, Day 2
Title: Why didn't you go M.I.A this time too? (Because, you are Stiles Stilinski)
Prompt: Little League Rating: General Audiences Warnings: There be some beef between Stiles and Theo at the start. WC: 3834
You can also read it on my AO3
Summary:
“Look, I usually go M.I.A on these types of things, so this is my first time,” Theo admitted. “Why didn’t you go M.I.A this time too?” Stiles asked. “Because you are Stiles Stilinski,” Theo said. Stiles smiles and pats Theo’s back, “I don't know what that's supposed to mean, but relax, it’s going to be alright,” he said.
~
“Also, before you go off, I have the list for the pairings for this year’s science fair, usually you would pick your partner, but due to some of you picking the same people every year-” the teacher announced, eyeing the class- “I made the pairings this year.”
“Man, this sucks,” Scott whispered to Stiles.
“Very,” Stiles agreed.
The teacher started reading out the paired names and Stiles anxiously waited for his name to be called.
“Scott, you’ll be paired with Jackson,” the teacher said.
“Jackson?!” Scott exclaimed as he looked at Jackson, who also had the same expression on his face as well.
“Last but not least, Stiles and Theodore,” the teacher said, folding the list.
“Theo?! Mrs. Garcia, are you sure there isn’t a mistake there?” Stiles yells out.
“Come and look for yourself, Stiles,” she invited Stiles to take a look at the list.
Stiles quickly bounces up to the front of the class and looks at the list that was on her desk. It was without a doubt, ‘Mieczyslaw and Theodore’.
Stiles turns around and stares at Theo who had his usual glare plastered over his disgusting face. He scowls at the boy and goes back to his seat. The bell rings signaling that it was recess. Stiles slings his backpack over his shoulder and walks out of the classroom with Scott following.
“We both are officially dead, you got Jackson, an entitled rich kid and I got Theo, creepy dark kid,” Stiles said.
“Calm down, it’s just a stupid science fair, maybe next year they’d let us choose again,” Scott said opening his locker.
Stiles opens his locker and stuffs his science book inside and slams it shut. He leans against the locker and audibly sighs.
‘It’s just a stupid science fair, Stiles, why are you so worked up?’ he asks himself.
Scott closes his locker and the two sixth graders head off to their usual hangout spot with their friends on the side of the school.
“Who do you think Issac got? And Erica? And Boyd? And Allison?” Stiles asked.
“I dunno,” Scott said.
They walked outside the school to see everyone in their cliques talking about the science fair, the jocks were hanging out near the metal fence at the bleachers and Jackson was eyeing Scott and Stiles as they walked to the side of the school where Issac and Boyd were waiting.
“Hey, where’s Erica?” Scott asks.
“She went to return her book back to the library, she’ll be here in a sec,” Boyd said.
“Allison?” Stiles asked Issac.
“On her way probably,” he replied.
“Hey, sorry I’m late, I got assigned working as a librarian’s assistant before recess,” Allison said.
Erica comes running, completing the gang.
“So, who’d you get for the science fair?” Issac asks.
“Jackson Whittemore,” Scott said.
Everyone grimaced at the sound of the name.
“Well, I got Lydia Martin,” Erica said.
“Greenberg,” Boyd gruffed.
“I got Danny,” Issac said.
“I was paired with Kira,” Allison said.
“Who’d you get Stiles?” Issac asked.
“Theodore Raeken, out of all people, the one I hate the most!” Stiles said.
“You, Scott, and Boyd had the worst luck, I guess,” Erica said, “Lydia is smart and rich, so first place, baby!”
“Well, Greenberg isn’t that bad considering he brings an A in science?” Allison said, trying to comfort Boyd, “and Jackson won’t be that bad, I hope? So is Theo, yeah, he’s creepy, but what’s the worst that could happen?”
~
It was the last period of the day, Science. Stiles wasn’t that interested in Biology so he mindlessly doodled in the margins of his book when he was unjustly interrupted.
“Hey, Stiles,” Theo said, from behind Stiles.
“What is it, Theodore?” Stiles said turning around.
“Uh, I wanted to ask you what house are we doing the project in?” Theo asks.
Stiles thinks about it for a second and he decides his house would be better because he was not stepping foot inside Theo Raeken’s house.
“Mine,” Stiles answered.
“Ok, cool, when should I come over?” Theo asked again.
‘Never,’ Stiles wanted to say but he stopped himself before he could, “Uhh, how about at 4?”
“Stiles, anything you would like to share with the class?” Mr. Oliver asked.
“Nothing, Mr. Oliver,” Stiles squeaks as he turns around.
“Very well then,” he said before continuing his lecture.
Stiles goes back to doodling on his notebook, that was until he was handed his test back. He got an A, he turns around to try and sneak a peek at Theo’s grade, but Theo already stuffed it in his bag.
“Hmm, What was yours?” Stiles asks, turning around.
“Do you really need to know?” He asks.
“You’re my science fair partner, therefore, yes,” Stiles said.
“D, I hate science,” Theo mutters as he slings his bag on his shoulder.
Stiles puts his test in his bag and walks out with the rest of the class, he walks up to his locker where Scott and Issac were waiting.
“So, Allison told me that she saw you and Theo talking in Biology,” Scott said as they walked down the hallways to the bike racks.
“Yeah, he’s coming over at 4 today, I don’t even know what we will do for our project?!” Stiles said.
“Well, we got one week until the science fair, so I guess you can get to know him a little bit more today?” Issac chimed in.
“Get to know him?! I don’t want to ‘get to know him’!” Stiles said, taking Scott and Issac back by his aggressive tone.
“Whoa, calm down, Stiles, what happened between you and Theo?” Scott asked.
“Do you really want to know Scottie? Do you?” Stiles said as they stopped in front of their bikes.
Scott nods while Issac shakes his head.
“Remember when I had to move to my nana’s house for three months? I never told you why, but it was because my dad got shot and had to be in the ICU for three months. Guess who pulled the trigger, Theodore Raeken’s father,” Stiles said.
“But, isn’t he in jail?” Issac asked.
“Yeah, and anytime I look at Theo, I see that man who shot my dad, I can’t trust him,” Stiles said as he put on his bike helmet.
“What if Theo is different from his dad?” Scott asked, “his dad might be a criminal, but Theo might not be a criminal.”
“I guess we’ll find out today,” Stiles said as he unlocked his bike lock.
They rode their bikes to their neighborhood, Scott and Issac dropped Stiles off before making their way down the cul-de-sac to their house.
~
Stiles anxiously paced around his house, locking the knife drawer with duct tape and making sure any dangerous pointy objects are out of sight. He even went out of his way and heaved the pointy sculpture from its place above the fireplace and into the basement. It was heavy and it was surely a miracle that Stiles didn’t drop it.
The clock chimes at 4 o’clock and he leans on the window, looking out onto his front yard. He sees Theo walk up and make his way to the porch. Stiles quickly runs and pulls the door open before Theo has a chance to knock.
“Hi,” Theo said, stuffing his hand back in his black jacket.
“Uh, hey, again,” Stiles said.
They both awkwardly stand, before Stiles opens the door further, inviting Theo inside.
“Your house is pretty nice,” Theo said as he looked around.
Stiles nods, “I try to keep it tidy,” he mutters.
Stiles and Theo, being not the warmest of acquaintances to each other, were awkwardly standing -in awkward silence- in the middle of the Stilinski living room. Stiles opens his mouth to say something but he quickly closes it as whatever he was going to say, would sound insensitive.
“Look, I know you’re probably mad at me because of my dad,” Theo began to say, “he did pretty horrible things and I hated him when I found out the truth.”
“He did horrible things, he shot my dad nearly killing him!” Stiles snapped, “I won’t be surprised if you brought a gun to shoot me too!”
Stiles couldn’t stand in front of the boy anymore, he quickly stormed off to his room and slammed the door shut. He throws his bag onto the bed and it bounces off onto the floor. Stiles lets out a yell of exasperation into his pillow and he hears Theo knocking on the door.
“I- I’m sorry for the pain he had caused, but I swear, I don’t want to end up like him. Never. I am his son, but I don’t want to be known for the things he did,” Theo said, from the other side of the door.
Stiles felt as if he saw a new light, he felt a sense of clarity as he realized a very big thing. All Theo wanted was to be seen differently. He didn’t want to be known as the son of the Beacon Hills Bank Robber. Theo was a different being from his father. He was not necessarily bad, neither did it feel like he wanted to, nor he was.
“I- I’m sorry, Theo. I didn’t mean to say that,” Stiles said, apologizing for his remark.
“It’s alright, Stiles, I’ve gotten used to it, it wasn’t like you are the only one to say that,” Theo said, “Can we focus on the science project now?”
“Yeah, I g-guess,” Stiles said as he opened the door to Theo-.
Stiles felt terribly bad, so as Theo settled down in his bedroom, he went out and fetched his jar of home-baked cookies from the kitchen.
“Want a slightly-burned chocolate chip cookie that I made with my dad?” Stiles asked.
“These don’t look slightly burned, they are burned through and through,” Theo said as he took one out of the jar.
“I mean, it doesn’t taste that bad,” Stiles said, biting a big bite of one cookie.
The bitter taste of charred chocolate chip cookie fills his mouth, setting off the gag-reflex as the dry cookie hits the back of his throat. He dashes towards his bathroom, dropping the cookie jar on the carpeted floor.
He spits the crumbs out, as he rinses his mouth with water.
Theo walks up to the bathroom, stopping just under the door frame, “it doesn’t taste that bad, huh?” he said, snickering.
“Shut up, Raeken,” Stiles said as he put toothpaste on his toothbrush.
Stiles brushes his teeth, making sure to brush his tongue too, the dry ashy cookie taste felt like it was stuck in his mouth. He washes his mouth, swishing the water around before spitting it out.
Stiles picks up the cookie jar and puts it back on the shelf in the kitchen, grimacing as he still tasted the bitter taste of death in his mouth.
“Okay, science fair, I have no idea what to do for it, yet,” Stiles said as he sat down on his bed.
“I hate science and I failed science,” Theo said.
“Kiss goodbye the first place, second place, third place, and honorary mention, then,” Stiles said as he took one of his many science books out of the shelf.
“But, I didn’t say that I don’t have an idea for the science fair project,” Theo added.
Stiles shot his head up from the book, “and what is the idea for the science fair?” he asked.
“You can see the amount of iron in your cereal using a magnet, I learned that by accident once,” Theo said.
“How did you find iron in your cereal, do you eat nails for breakfast?” Stiles asked.
“Using a Neodymium Magnet and soaking cereal with water in a Ziploc bag,” Theo said.
“I thought you hated science,” Stiles asked.
“I saw it on T.V and got interested enough to try it out, alright?” Theo said.
“How do we turn this into a science fair project, then?” Stiles questioned.
“Test other cereal brands for iron?” Theo said, sounding unsure about it.
“Fine, I guess, that could work,” Stiles said, “do you still have that Neodymium magnet?”
“Yeah, that thing cost me 50 bucks, I’m not throwing it away after a morning’s use,” Theo said.
“Bring it over tomorrow, and if you got any extra Ziploc bags, bring ‘em too,” Stiles said to Theo.
“How about the cereals?” Theo asked.
“I have 3 different cereal brands in this house, if you have anything that’s different, bring it,” Stiles said, forgetting to say the 3 cereal brands.
“And what are the cereal brands you got?” Theo asks.
“Frosted Flakes, Froot Loops and Kellogg’s cornflakes,” Stiles listed the three.
“I’ll see if I have anything different at my home,” Theo said, “off-topic but why do you have 3 different cereal brands in your kitchen?”
“I have different preferences on different days, Theodore,” Stiles said.
~
The next day, Theo brings his magnet and a small box of Ziploc bags along with a box of Lucky Charms cereal.
“So, we have to do this and make a visual presentation, so I had my dad buy a bristol board to use as our presentation board,” Stiles said, as he showed Theo the big grey colored paper on the dining table.
“Ok, I also forgot to mention that we need warm water, not cold,” Theo said.
“Lucky for you, I know how to operate a simple electric kettle,” Stiles said as he filled the kettle with water.
They let it cook while Stiles brings out markers and pens from his room to the kitchen. Theo and he weren’t on the best of terms yet, but it was better than it was.
~
In the 4 days leading up to the science fair, Stiles and Theo had done the science experiments, finished up the visual presentation board, and had played Mario Kart 64 twice. Now, it was time to show their science project to the school.
Stiles met with Theo in the hall and both boys felt the energetic vibes they and the whole school were emitting during the hours before the science fair opened.
They go to their place and set their project up. Stiles rehearsed his lines, making sure there were no up-ticks or stutters during his speech on the project. Stiles’ friends came over to see what he had done, and they were pretty welcoming towards Theo. Maybe he could join their group. Or pack as Scott and Stiles liked to call it.
Soon enough, the science fair opened and the judges began making their rounds.
“Are you ready?” Theo asked, with a look on his face that Stiles had never seen before.
“Sorta, are you?” Stiles said.
“Sorta, I guess,” Theo said, scratching the back of his neck.
“You are completely nervous,” Stiles said.
~
“And the winner of this year’s science fair at Beacon Hills Middle School is,” the principal announces, Stiles anxiously awaits, chewing at his fingernails ever since they did the judges’ evaluation, “Mieczyslaw Stilinski and Theodore Raeken!”
"Oh, My GOD!" Stiles exclaims as he realizes they won and he quickly grabs Theo’s hand and marches up to the stage. The principal hands them a trophy that can be split in two so that both of them can take it home. Stiles looks at the crowd and sees his friends and his dad clap proudly at them winning.
The event ends with a small ending speech by the principal and Stiles scrambles to find his friends.
“Wanna head to Benny’s Creamery?” Scott asks.
“C-could I come?” Theo asks.
“Of course!” Stiles said, slinging his hand over Theo’s shoulders.
They all head over to Benny’s Creamery with Stiles’ dad carpooling them all to the creamery.
Issac was in the passenger seat along with Scott since both boys can fit in the seat, Boyd sat behind the passenger seat with Allison and Erica squished in the middle and Stiles was sitting behind his dad and Theo was awkwardly half on Stiles’ lap and half on the seat.
The squishing did provoke some unsaid feelings between Stiles and Theo, especially Theo, his cheeks were dusted with pink and red.
“Imitating a Solanum Lycopersicum?” Stiles whispered to Theo.
“A what?” Theo asked.
“Tomato, dummy, your face is red like a tomato,” Stiles said.
“Oh, uh, maybe,” Theo said.
His dad pulls up and parks in the small parking area of the store and everyone scrambles out. Stiles notices Theo staying quite far away from everyone as they wait to order. He holds Theo’s hand and pulls him closer.
“And what would you two boys like?” The woman asked Stiles and Theo.
“Cookies and cream with chocolate chips and whip cream in a cone, please,” Stiles said, his usual order.
“Uh, the same?” Theo said.
“Dude, you like cookies and cream with chocolate chips and whip cream too?” Stiles asked.
“Actually, I’ve never been here, so I didn’t know what else to order,” Theo said.
“Well then, trust me, it’s the best!” Stiles said, excitedly.
The lady hands Stiles and Theo two cones and they head over to sit with the rest. The sun had already set, leaving a slight tinge of purple and blue in the sky. It wasn’t quite dark yet, but it was dark enough for street lights to turn on and illuminate the road.
Stiles’ dad takes pictures of them as they all huddle together with their ice creams. With and without the picture, it was a day that everyone would cherish and remember. Especially Stiles and Theo.
~
Some time had passed, exactly 1 week and 4 days, as Stiles had counted. Theo is part of the pack, meeting up with the rest at recess now, and every time Stiles sees Theo, he feels weird. Weird as in his feet get restless and cold, his stomach squirms and his voice gets high-pitched than normal.
“What’s up with you these days?” Scott asks, distracting Stiles from his train-of-thought.
“What do you mean what’s up with me? I’m fine, completely fine,” Stiles said.
“What he’s trying to say is, what’s with the jitteriness especially around Theo?” Issac asked.
“What jitteriness?” Stiles asked.
“Hey, should I come to your house to watch Star Wars, tomorrow?” Theo said as he walked up to them.
Stiles stumbles over his words, and his brain frantically goes to panic mode, ‘Say hey, no, say good day, or hey,’ Stiles instructed himself.
“Gay,” Stiles blurts out.
Issac, Scott, and Theo stare at Stiles with the faces of absolute confusion, and Stiles gasps as his brain processes what he just said.
“Oh, uh, no, that’s not what I meant, I meant hey, yes, sure, star wars, tomorrow, si,” Stiles sputtered.
“I think Stiles needs to go to the bathroom right now,” Scott said.
“I do?” Stiles said.
Issac nods and Scott darts his eyes at Theo for a slight second.
“Oh yeah, I do,” Stiles said, turning around to go to the bathroom.
Scott holds his friend by the shoulder and walks him out of the school building. They stop in front of their bikes.
“Stiles, you are a mess,” Issac said.
“Thank you, Issac, but I already looked in a mirror today,” Stiles retorted as he put his helmet on.
“You’re welcome,” Issac said, his lips curling in a mischievous smile.
They ride to their houses and Issac heads home while Scott stops at Stiles’ house. Stiles gets off his bike and so does Scott.
“Do you want to tell me what’s up with you and Theo?” Scott asked.
“That, I don’t know either, Scott, I hated him then, but now, every single time I see him, I get this weird feeling-” Stiles confessed.
“Like you have a crush?” Scott interrupted Stiles.
“Why would I have a crush on Theo? I don’t like boys,” Stiles said.
“I was just suggesting, it’s alright if you do, or don’t, but from my eyes, Stiles, you look like you have a crush on Theo,”
“I mean, it is something, I’m just not sure,” Stiles said.
“You’ll figure it out, soon enough, and oh god,” Scott said, suddenly realizing something.
“What?” Stiles asks.
“I forgot to hide my Reese's peanut butter cup stash from this morning and it’s on my bed, Issac’s going to eat it all!” Scott said, jumping on his bike and riding away.
“You’re dead meat, Issac McCall!” Stiles heard Scott yell as he rode his bike down to their house.
Stiles ponders on what his relationship with Theo was, as he tows his bike into the garage. Were they just friends, and why was he feeling this weird way towards Theo?
‘This is another problem for another day, I got homework to do,’ Stiles thought, brushing the subject off.
~
The last two months of seventh grade came and went, for summer this year, Stiles and his dad went on a week’s trip to the grand canyon and it was amazing. Stiles had so much to tell everyone when eighth grade started, and as for the feelings towards Theo, they grew larger.
Stiles did try to explore himself more, trying to figure out his feelings for Theo, but he never found a conclusion that was concrete enough for Stiles.
On the eve of Christmas, the pack was all in the McCall household, for a sleepover. It was quite early in the night and they just had dinner, courtesy of Mama McCall, and they all sat in a circle to play truth-or-dare.
“So, Stiles, truth, or dare?” Erica asked.
“Truth,” Stiles picks.
“Out of everyone in this circle, would you choose to go on a date with?” Erica asked.
He thought about the question for a second, was he really going to say Theo, or should he lie and say someone else’s name? He did not know.
“I’m going to have to choose, Theo,” Stiles answered.
They all looked at Theo who was nervously chuckling as his face grew red.
“Theo, huh, would you say the same?” Erica asks, stifling a laugh.
“It’s not even my turn, yet,” Theo protested.
“Answer or you will get the sombrero of shame,” Erica said.
“Yeah, I guess I would say the same,” Theo said.
“Oooh, romance,” Erica sang, “cue the sexy saxophone noises!”
They all laughed and the night continued on, with more truth-or-dare, then they started binging on Christmas movies as everyone fell asleep.
“Stiles,” Theo whispered to the boy, who was still awake.
“What?” Stiles asked.
“Did you mean it?” Theo asked.
“Yeah, believe it or not, I did, did you?” Stiles said, turning his head to face Theo’s gaze.
Theo nods, “I did too,” he said.

PROMPT GAME #2
Tumblr media Tumblr media
"You two really looked great together," another older couple beams at both Y/N and Taehyung after giving their greetings. The two smile and nodded, like they usually do for the millionth time at this kind of parties.
"And there goes another one, saying how great we look," Taehyung chuckled, passing her a glass of wine. Y/N just nodded and, smile, gulping down her drink. At the rate this party is going, she will be needing way more than just a glass for sure. "Aunties and uncles alert," Taehyung whisper and nudge her with his elbow and the two immediately puts on a smile at the two impecabbly dressed couple hewded their way.
"Taehyung, Y/N, you two look wonderful today. Taehyung, handsome as always," Y/N's auntie, her father's oldest sister smile and beams at the young man, and Taehyung flashed his charming smile, making the older lady blush.
"Thanks Aunt May. You look gorgeous as always too,"
"But not as pretty as Y/N here right?" She winks. "So, when are you two ever going to make it official? You wont have a secret engagement or anything right?"
"Aunt May!" Y/N os horrified. Why cant family members just be normal?
"What? Did I say something wrong?" Aunt May feign innocent, strongly believe that the two is a couple although theu have denied it too many times.
"Its definitely wrong! You know we are just friends!" Y/N protests. "We are just... friends," she repeated again, softly this time and sighed and Taehyung chuckled softly besides her at her flustered reaction.
"Young people these days. Is it so hard to woo a girl? Just take her out on a date and pop the question!" Uncle Kent gives out a booming laugh, making Y/N wants to face palmed herself. Thabk god Taehyung is calm and a good sport.
"It cant be that simple Uncle, its not easy to win Y/N's heart, I have to make up some super deliberate plan to woo her before she would ever say yes to me," Taehyung plays along and grab Y/N's hand, holding it tighr, causing her heartbeat to race.
"Well, then I wish you the best of luck son," Uncle Kent tapped his back and make their way to greet some other people. Y/N pulled back her hand the moment they left and pouts.
"What the hell is that Tae? Why are you giving them expectations? You know I dont like that. Now they will be telling asking my parents when we are getting married and the my parents will be asking me and when I tell then its a joke they will nag me about being single and say I'm waiting for a prince to fall down from the sky again!" Y/N grumbles.
"Are you?" Taehyung turns to look at her, smiling that stupid smile that makes Y/N goes crazy. "Waiting for a prince to fall down from the sky?"
"No. Of course not!" I am just waiting for you Kim Taehyung. Y/N wished she can just say it out loud. Oh if only she have that courage. But that will never happen. They have been friends for too long for her to ruined it. Too long. In fact, since the day they were born. Both born as the heir to the wealthiest empire in the country, their parents being close friends and business partners, they are bound to be best friends. Growing up with a silver spoon in their mouth together, some are even convinced that they will marry each other. Well, until Taehyung hits puberty and grew into his looks and turned into the number one romeo in the country. Making appearances at all the parties in town, having one night stands with girls he cant remember the name of and charming everybody socks off while Y/N, who although also grew into her beauty hides behind books and classical music, poetru and arts. Despite their differencesz at the end of the day, Y/N and Taehyung still turns to each other, which is why everybody thinks they are a couple, or want them to be.
Especially at a party hosted by Y/N's parents, filled with cloae relatives and friends.
"Well, you have been single for as long as I have known you Y/N. Which is.. hmmm... let me see... since forever?" Taehyung eyes her carefully. "I wonder who is it you are waiting for?" He smirks. "Is it by any chance, me?"
Y/N chokes on her water.
Taehyung laughs, sipping his drink while watching her closely.
"Ewww. No. Never! Never ever!"
"Oh come on. I am not so bad. What? You have never thought about us? We do make a great couple you know," he winks.
"W-well... I uh," Y/N wrecks her brain, trying to find an answer to this wkward question. Yes, Taehyung teased her a lot, thats what they do, teased each other, but the topic is never this. Never about her wanting him. Because to be honest, there is nothing in this world she rather want than him. "I would! If you are not the number one international player!" Sheaughs nervously, trying to pass it off as a joke, although deep inside it hurts to know how true that statement is. Taehyung will never see her like that. Not when he is surrounded by any girl he could possibly want.
"Really now?" Taehyung smiles and take a step forward, still holding her hand tight, squeezing it while the other cups her chin slowly do her eyes met his. "Then why are your hand sweating so much Y/N?" Taehyung smile, eyes never leaving hers. "You have never imagine us? Together? You have never..." he leans in closer lips only an inch from her, his breath warm on her face. Y/N can smell his intoxicating scent and her eyes flutter close, heartbeat racing like crazy. "Imagine me kissing you? My lips... on yours?" He rubs his thumb on her soft lips, slowly grazing it. Taehyung inched closer, almost closing the tiny gap between them ehen Y/N snapped into reality, realizing what she is about to do and who shes about to do it with. Her eyes opens immediately and Y/N shoved Taehyung away, hard, making him stumbled back in surprised and ran out to the enormous garden.
What is wrong with me? You know Taehyung is just playing. Stupid Y/N, stupid stupid, stupid!
Tears are already running down her face, cascading down her cheeks like endless waterfall. She can hear soft footsteps approaching. Footsteps that she can recognized anywhere.
Taehyung.
How can she forget. Taehyung knows this garden, her garden, as much as she does. He knows exactly where Y/N would hide herself away everytime she wanted some peace and quiet from all her troubles. Taehyung knows her more than she knows herself, so why dont he know how in lovr she is with him?
So in love. Definitely more than friends. Is she really not worthy in his eyes?
"Y/N?" Taehyung took a seat beside her on the cold stone bench, the air immediately turned wuiet as both trying to think of what to say. They have seen each other uoset beforex and Taehyung always seems to know what to say to put a smile back on her face. But not this time. This time, something feels off.
Did he say something wrong earlier?
"Hey Y/N... can you please look at me?" Taehyung whisper softly.
"Can you just please go away Tae? I have never asked you for anything, but just this once, please leave me alone," Y/N sobs.
"No. You need me Y/N..." Taehyung's voice is still soft and calm. "Just like I need you,"
"There you go again!" Y/N snapped and raised her face, eyes filled with anger like Taehyung never has seen before, her whole face dampen with tears. "You just say whatever you want dont you?! Without thinking about anyone elses feelings!"
"Y/N.. what are you talking about. I dont understand. Why are you so mad at me for?" Taehyung is utterly confused at all this anger directed towards him.
"You need me. Just like I need you! You have never imagined us together? You have neevr imagined me kissing you?" She mocked. "What the hell Taehyubg? You think feelings are some kind of a joke?!" Y/N screamed, no longer cared. Patience are running thin when her feelings are this vulnerable.
"You are angry at me because of that?" Taehyung looks at her in disbelief. "I am sorry if you think I crossed the line, but this angry?" Taehyung stands up and paced around. "Do you hate me that much that even the thoughts of being with me makes you want to scream in anger? Make you this upset? Am I that unworthy to you Y/N?"
Y/N was surprised. How can he thinks that way? For what its worth, its the other way around. She will never be good enough for the great Kim Taehyung, best friend or not.
"No Tae.. its not like that..." her voice softens at his sudden outburst.
"Then what is it? I am not good enough for you? Do you despise who I am to the point ot makes you cry? Do I-"
"Its because I love you!"
Taehyung stopped mid-sentence, turning around to face her, mouth slightly open.
"Got your answer now? Its because I fucking love you Tae. Deeply, sincerely in love with you. Has been for years," she laughed through her tears. "But you will never see me that way do you? I am just the bestfriend. The nerd, goody two shoes bestfriend. I understand, how can you even look at me that way with all the girls flocking you. You can have anyone and anyone is licky ro have you,"
"Y/N-"
"Let me finish!" Y/N raised a hand to stop him. It took me years to finally find this courage to say all this, so let me finish,"
Taehyung kept quiet, obliging to her demands.
"I love you Tae. Always have, always will. But I know we will never be. And i am fine with that. I have made my peace with that. But please stop humoring me by saying things about us together. I know its a joke to you but its like a bullet to my fragile heart. Atleast stop until I get over you,"Y/N sighed. "Its funny right? And pathetic. Not to mentioned cliche. Bestfriends falling for the other," she lets out a humorless laugh. "I just need to know one thing Tae. One thing and I promiaed we wont talk about this evee again,"
"What is it Y/N?" Taehyung took a steo and sits back down beside her on the bench.
"What do they have that I dont?" Y/N looks him straight in the eye. "All those firls you have been with, night after night, what do they have that I dont? Why wont you ever look at me Tae?"
Taehyung's heart breaks when Y/N aaked the question. The way her lips quiver, the way her eyes shines with tears, the look in her eyes thay shows him how she really believed that shes never going to be enough for him.
"Do you really want to know the answer? Are you ready for it?" Taehyung looks at her, unblinking and Y/N nodded, already bracing herself for an answer that will break her heart forever. "Then I am going to tell ypu what they dont have instead.."
Taehyung's face is serious as he takes her hand and places it in his.
"Well, for one... they dont have my heart. This heart that just automatically surrenders to you ever since I understand what love is," he smiles, his beautiful, charming smile.
"T-tae. W-what are you-"
"Shhh. I am not done," he puts a finger on her lips to quiet her down. "You talk to much, its my turn noe. Second, they dont have the permission of your parents to marry you..." he smile wider. "And third, they dont have this ring," he took out a diamond ring from his pocket and kneels down in front of her, making Y/N speechless. "That I have been carrying around for weeks, trying to find the right time to do this,"
"T-tae?"
"Y/N... baby," he grins. "Will you make me the happiest man alive by not just being my best friend for life, but also become the love of my life, my wife, my everything?"
"I-i..."
"I can help you with that. Yes would be great," he flashed her another one of his charming smile. The same smike that has made Y/N's heart race for years, but now she knows it fully belongs to her.
"Yes. Kim Taehyung. Yes. Definitely yes

Prompt fill for @sunel0 thank you so much for the request! I hope you like it!

Words: 2664
Prompt: "Just admit you're wrong."
Read here on Ao3
Damn near every supernatural creature in his life has a mate. Stiles was told that even though he's human, that he has one too. He called Scott out on his bullshit every single time the true Alpha so much as mentioned the concept. Stiles found out that Lydia was Scott's mate before the wolf did. He quickly squashed that crush like a bug and the banshee became Stiles' best friend. Turns out Malia is actually Kira's mate and not his. Honestly, with their energy in Mexico, Stiles should've known. Liam has Hayden and Mason has Corey.
Stiles? Oh, he has nobody.
The human is damn near sure of it. The way everyone explains to him how it feels to find them- even if you've already known them for a few years, it takes time- just doesn't make sense to him. The closest he's ever gotten to the feeling- the urge- to constantly be near them was Lydia. Look how well that turned out. There's never been anyone in his life that he felt this overwhelming necessity to take care of them and keep them safe. Save for his dad, Melissa, and the pack. But that's not the same and even Stiles knows that.
Then Theo happened. Well, the bullshit with him trying to kill Scott happened a little while ago. Stiles had a stupid crush on the chimera from the get-go despite his gross amount of mistrust. But that's not really what he's talking about. It was the chimera getting a pack of his own and Alpha powers in ways Stiles doesn't even know how because Scott still has his. After that Theo became calm? No. More like less evil. He was more or less an actual human being finally having gotten everything he wanted.
Well, almost everything.
Apparently, the Alpha is convinced that Stiles is his mate. Do you have any idea how many times Stiles has found gifts on his porch or a sweet little note in his locker? A Star Wars blanket and hoodie, three different flannels, and a Batman statue. Theo has even left him meals- with enough for his dad too- and bought his lunch at school a few times. Stiles broke after the third gift and called Derek to ask what the fuck was happening. Hale laughed his ass off and explained it was meant to be offerings to court him. Stiles had no idea that existed because his friends didn't have to do that. They just knew they were mates and got together.
Stiles doesn't.
The chimera didn't just give him gifts either. Every now and then a member of Theo’s pack- if not the Alpha himself- would walk Stiles to class if he was alone. Or keep him company while he does research in the library; for hours. Each and every one of them singing praises of their Alpha, asking Stiles why he won’t just give Theo a chance. What’s weird and maybe even a little worse is that Stiles is positive they’re genuine about it. It doesn’t feel like something Theo told them to do. They just are.
Then there’s the way Theo acts around him. Asking how he’s doing or feeling. What he’s thinking about. Theo is nice. To him. Stiles sees him act like a dick to plenty of people still, but the only other person who gets as soft of a tone as Stiles is Corey. The Alpha tries to be as close and Stiles will allow, which isn’t that close at all. Doesn’t stop Theo from scaring whoever sits behind the human in their shared classes. Stiles actually finds it hard to deny the chimera that small victory. Like he earned it.
It was a crack in his resolve and Stiles didn’t even realize it. He found himself sitting with Theo and his pack at lunch more than Scott. Or even waiting for the Alpha to sit behind him in class. Because he actually sort of wanted Theo there. And if on the anniversary of Tara’s death he let Theo run his hand along Stiles’ back- until he gave in and held the emotionally distressed chimera’s hand- the whole class, well that was just him being a good friend. Or so he tells himself. He still gave the gifts back aside from the hoodie because Stiles didn’t think they were mates and it felt wrong to accept them. But that hoodie was too sweet and Theo fucking personalized it, he wasn’t going to give that up.
Stiles believes that Theo believes it. But he just doesn’t. Stiles is living proof that you can have a crush on someone and them not be your mate. He likes that Theo remembers things he says and what he likes. Actually enjoys the chimera’s company and finds himself looking forward to it often. There’s just not that uncontrollable pull everyone tells him is supposed to be there. He writes off the fact that his touch or scent is a comfort when Theo is upset because even Scott has told him that once or twice. He’s big on evidence and seems to think there is none. Or can at the very least logic the fuck out of it.
It’s all he can think about at lunch with the chimera and his pack. He did realize that he does want Theo to be safe and happy if that’s any consolation to his friends who’ve even started asking why he keeps denying Theo. And it’s not that he doesn’t want to be around the Alpha, it’s just not this intense need. It’s just-
“Hello,” Tracy literally snaps him back to their conversation, removing her fingers from his face.
“You okay?” Theo asks, physically restraining himself from reaching out for the human. Even Stiles notices the white knuckles as he clutches the seat of his chair, it actually makes him feel a little bad.
“Yeah,” Stiles clears his throat, tongue darting across his lip before smiling softly, “I just spaced for a little bit.” Rubbing the back of his neck, he mumbles, “sorry. What were you guys talking about?”
“Pack night.” Tracy picks at the ends of her hair.
Josh rolls his eyes at the kanima, “helpful, Tracy, truly. We’re gonna watch a movie together, we were hoping you were coming tonight.”
“Oh, uh-”
“Only if you want to,” Theo tells him, his hands now stuffed in the pockets of his jacket as he leans back in his chair. Their thighs brush as the chimera adjusts his position and Theo all but yanks his leg away knowing how Stiles feels about touching him. Stiles really doesn’t like the look on the Alpha’s face when he forces himself not to make contact. But he can’t bring himself to move his own leg back, afraid to give the chimera the wrong impression. That face though, it twists his stomach in ways Stiles isn’t proud of. That he's the one hurting Theo.
It fucking stings.
“I think that’d be great.” Stiles makes a point to look at the Alpha when he talks, “what time should I come over?”
Corey smiles a little too widely for Stiles’ taste, “seven!” He chirps, “don’t eat either, we have dinner plans too.”
“Okay,” the human draws out the word, narrowing his eyes at the perky chimera. At least Theo looks just as confused.
Not even two seconds after his knuckles rap on the front door does Josh fling it open, “hey, Stiles!” The chimera steps aside so Stiles can walk in. “Tracy’s just about to bring dinner out. Corey and Tracy have been cooking since school got out.”
“Great, thanks.”
When Stiles gets into the dining room his earlier confusion is back ten fold. Corey is busy at work setting up two place settings. And lighting candles. What the-
“-fuck is all this?” Theo finishes Stiles’ thought, rounding the doorway by the stairs, "Hey, Stiles."
"Hey, Theo," his response is laced with the confusion he still feels from the picture before him.
Tracy comes in from the kitchen carrying a platter of pot roast and veggies and Stiles’ head fucking hurts. No one says anything for a painful stretch of time while the kanima puts the food on the table. She rushes to meet Corey in the doorway. The human stares at the candles as though the flames hold all the answers.
They don’t.
“I know I asked a question,” Theo crosses his arms, turning to face his Betas.
The kanima rolls her eyes at the other two staring at the floor, avoiding their Alpha’s gaze. “It’s called a date.” Stiles turns to face her with bulging eyes and a slack jaw, “a super blind date because he didn’t know about it either, Stiles.” Theo growls at her, and the human’s eyes find the flame once more, “have fun!” She yanks Corey and Josh out of the front door with her.
Peeling his eyes away from the lit wax, he’s met with a borderline distraught Theo. “I swear, I had no idea they were doing this. I was told we were watching Godzilla vs. Kong.” The Alpha sighs, “I’m sorry, you know I wouldn’t force you to be with me like that. You don’t have to stay.”
“So you’re kicking me out?” Stiles scoffs, having a hard time believing Theo isn’t jumping at the idea of being alone in such an intimate setting with him. “I mean, you may not have planned this, but isn’t this what you’ve always wanted?”
Leaning against the wall that separates the dining room from the staircase, Theo runs both hands over his face. With a heavy sigh, they fall to his sides and he says, “of course it is.” The chimera’s sad eyes meet his and the Alpha collects himself, “but it’s for some reason not what you want. I’d never kick you out, but I won’t make you stay with me if you don’t want to. As much as I really want you to.”
For some reason? “Theo,” Stiles huffs, propping himself on one of the chairs, facing the chimera, “I don’t think we’re mates. Nothing anyone has ever told me fits with us.”
“Care to elaborate?” The Alpha crosses his arms, “I bet I can prove you wrong. Because for one, it’s different for humans, so whatever you’ve been told could very well not apply. And there isn’t a rule book to knowing someone is your mate, Stiles.”
Saying no to a bet is never something Stiles has been capable of doing. And Theo seems so sure of himself, he wants to call his bluff. “Alright, game on, Raeken.” The chimera waves one of his hands, giving him the floor to start. “Okay,” the human rubs his jaw, “I like being around you, but I don’t have this intense need to be near you all the time.”
“That’s why you’re here for pack night instead of at Scott’s? Because I know for a fact they had plans tonight.” Theo retorts and the human’s mouth falls to an indignant frown. He wasn’t actually prepared for the Alpha to fire back so effortlessly. Or be kind of right. “It’s not always this powerful pull. It can be something like a preference.”
Blinking like an idiot, “o-okay, well, I don’t feel like I need to do everything to make you happy or to ease your pain.” He winces at the harshness his words imply, “n-not that I want you to be unhappy or in pain, but you know what I mean.”
The chimera chuckles, “so you just held my hand for an entire class period knowing that only your touch and smell would help me feel better for no reason at all?”
“It was the anniversary of Tara’s accident! I’m not a monster!”
“And what’s your excuse for your chemosignals then?” Theo gracefully pushes himself off the wall, arms falling to his sides as he steps forward. “The excitement when I walk into class. Or the fucking affection when you read the notes I leave in your locker." The chimera laughs
Stiles blushes hotly. Because again, Theo isn't wrong. The human honestly thought he was having Hayden right them with how mushy they got. It wasn't until the day Stiles let the Alpha hold his hand and he got a note thanking him for it. The handwriting matched. He also interrogated Hayden and she was fawning way too much at the idea of her Alpha doing that for her to have had any part. Stiles' heart fluttered from every other note after that.
"How about the way your heart is beating so quickly right now,” his nostrils flare as Theo places his palms on either side of the table by Stiles. Dropping his voice to a whisper, the Alpha asks, “are you going to tell me that’s not your arousal I smell from how close I am to you?” If Theo could stop being right, that'd be great.
His breath catches in his throat alongside a lump the size of his fist, “just because I’m attracted to you and care if you’re upset doesn’t mean we’re mates.” Though Stiles is finding it hard to believe his own words at this point seeing as how he actually admitted out loud that he finds the Alpha hot.
Dipping his head in a chuckle, Theo looks back up with a smirk, “you barely let me touch you, Stiles. I think I know the reason for that.” The chimera’s pupils widen enough for him to notice, “if I kissed you just once, I think you’d agree with me.”
“That’s awfully cocky of you,” Stiles snorts, stubborn to his core. “One kiss isn’t-” the chimera runs his finger along Stiles’ arm, sending a shiver through his body that makes the human gasp at the electricity. Holy shit.
“Just admit that you’re wrong.” Theo stares at where they’re connected. “You react to me, Stiles. Exponentially.” Nodding his head to the side, the Alpha makes eye contact again and Stiles just knows his face is betraying him. “You could still let me prove you wrong.” Theo leans in and their noses brush.
His body as well as his brain are screaming at Stiles to let him. Sure, he’s wanted to kiss the chimera before, but never this badly. So he nods, already out of breath from literally nothing and willing to let the Alpha steal more of it.
Theo’s eyes widen for a moment before he catches up, cupping Stiles’ face and their lips collide. He grabs onto the Alpha's biceps because any brain function Stiles had is fucking gone. To say there’s sparks behind his eyelids and where they’re touching is a massive understatement. His heart is singing for the chimera in ways it’s never done. Swallowing his pride, accepting the proof in front of him, Stiles tries to lean into the kiss, but the chimera breaks it.
“No.” Stiles grabs the Alpha by his shirt preventing him from moving away. “Wrong,” he mumbles against Theo’s mouth, who chuckles at him. “I was so wrong.” If he knew that all he needed to do was let the chimera kiss him to know for sure they were mates, he’d have done it months ago.
The chimera slides his tongue along his bottom lip, exploring every inch of Stiles’ mouth until the human can’t form proper thoughts that aren’t Theo. Pulling gently at his bottom lip with his teeth, “I told you so.” The Alpha murmurs, placing a soft, yet firm kiss on Stiles’ lips.
“Yes, yes you did.” Stiles brings his hands up to Theo’s neck, “now please, just fucking kiss me again.”
Blue eyes flash red as he chuckles, arms wrapping around Stiles’ back, pressing their bodies together as well as their mouths. If they go upstairs and mate rather than eating dinner, the pack will just have to understand that Stiles needed to make up for lost time. The next day at school there's a note in his locker with three simple words:
I love you.
