tonight i learned that goth cecropia moths (theyre actually Eupakardia calleta but i like to call them goth cecropias) exist and im absolutely in love. apparently this species of moth is extremely sexually dimorphic. with the females looking almost identical to a cecropia moth, while the males take on this glorious black coloration.

thank you dearest brother for this entirely hypothetical question seeing as though i do not eat bugs

that said should i be persuaded to under some sort of dire circumstances, these are the bugs i would want to eat:

limacodid slug caterpillar

[ID: a very spherical and featureless bug sitting on a leaf that is a slightly translucent green color, making it like like a watermelon gummy candy.]

2. kaputar slug

[ID: a large, bright pink slug crawling down a tree that has a slight crease down the middle of its back and branching off of that down the sides, making it look like a piece of raw meat or fish]

3. calleta silkmoth caterpillar

[ID: a fat caterpillar with a mainly light green body, with parallel rows of dots going down its body. the dots go from bright orange, to a ring of black, to bright blue, to black spikes. the caterpillar is on a rock]

4. rhinocerous beetle

[ID: a large, black and brown beetle on a branch. the beetle is thick and strong looking, and has two large horns, one on the top of its head, and another between its eyes]

Watcher, Last great knight of the night god

Watcher was one of the great knights in service of the forgotten god, they were the closest to them and was the most trusted of all in service.

Watcher fights both with claw and needle, both used with silk, the claw in this case often used to make sudden turns. They have the ability to shade their bright colored wings to a gray to hide from threats, said wings make them look bigger and more imposing than their actual state is.

They fell into a stasis after their god fell into oblivion and only woke up again when the radiance weakened. Watcher being still in service of their god is now searching for them across kingdoms where xer can still feel their aura even if dimmed. (Caused by The charm trickster had with him when traveling across kingdoms and later dropped it where vortex found it in the abyss)

They are a vey harsh and imposing figure who doesn’t take much nonsense but is very caring and will help people in need without thought.

They mostly just wish to find their god (cyclone now) and wishes for them to be okay.

They are based on a black widow spider and the Eupackardia calleta moth

Repost by @veleiro_petrus Soltamos os cabos de Puerto Willams às 23:50h e navegamos a motor com corrente e vento (8 nós) contra. Passamos no través de Ushuaia por volta das 05h e seguimos até próximo ao primeiro posto de controle da Armada do Chile chamado de Alcádia del Mar (ou ALCAMAR) na localidade de Yamaná. Informamos, via rádio, nossa passagem e nossa intenção de pernoitar na Calleta 5 Estrellas. Durante a passagem pelos postos de controle deve-se informar de onde se vem e qual o destino. Tínhamos a bordo um aparelho de comunicação satelital (Garmin Inreach) que recebia e transmitia mensagens além da nossa posição a cada meia hora. Ficou ajustado que as 7:00h da manhã de todos os dias a @chrisamaral_oficial nos mandaria a previsão do tempo para os dias seguintes em nossa área de navegação.   No caminho, passamos pelos glaciares Olla e Roncagli onde vimos as imensas formações de gelo. Diversos pinguins, focas e leões marinhos, nos acompanharam durante a manhã. Nossa intenção era pernoitar no Seno (fiorde) Pio, ao lado de um glaciar mas fomos impedidos de entrar pelo gelo flutuante que nos fechou a passagem. Como “vingança” “pescamos” um imenso bloco de gelo e, com a ajuda de um machado, trouxemos para bordo pedaços de gelo do glaciar para saborear um whisky 12 anos. As 15:30h estávamos entrando na Caleta 5 Estrelas, uma enseada paradisíaca cercada por montanhas e uma cachoeira que trazia águas geladas dos picos congelados das montanhas. Após lançar âncora e amarrar a popa em árvores, descemos e fomos explorar o local. Logo ao pisar em terra, percebemos que o chão não é “firme”. A sensação é de estar andando sobre um colchão macio. A vegetação que se forma em cima das rochas é chamada de tundra e vive permanentemente molhada. Andamos pela redondeza até as margens de um lago com águas cristalinas ao pé da cachoeira. Retornamos para o barco onde eu e o Marcos decidimos dar um mergulho na água quase congelada.
