With the 60th anniversary of the plane crash that took her life coming up on March 5, I’ve been finding myself getting into Patsy Cline of late. Considered one of the best country music singers of all time also excelled at straight pop and even rock and roll. The people who had her on their various TV shows honestly didn’t seem to know how to handle her. Here she is on one of the popular country music shows of the day that had everyone dressed up in full western costume. From 1957 here she is performing her breakout hit, Walkin’ After Midnight. The audio is from the original record, synched to the live TV performance. She sang live on the show, but none of the Youtube uploads seem to have very good image quality, so I decided to repost this one (with props to the original video editor and uploader!). Enjoy!
