#incase anyone is curious as to why they do this. it's the same reason why shading exists in art (like to make the light areas seem lighter #and the dark areas darker) so when there's a cheery song to a creepy scene #for example #the cheery music is there to make the creepiness creepier bc of heavy contrast. #and this theme showing up in films and other media is why we now associate a lot of kids songs with creepyness even if it hasn't been used #in media #. #the umbrella academy
