Health Break - So, long story short, this coming week, I'm scheduled to have a surgery to remove a very bad part of my intestines. Suffice to say, I'm taking a good month long break before I post again to recover and to relax! Hope all of you stay well! Thankful for all of you who follow me and show your support!

Maybe we don’t want to just force ourselves to go out anymore because going to that event, holiday, etc. is not only a physical struggle to push through, but a mental struggle we will feel the effects from for days after.
I absolutely hate events because of this. People always say you still need to get out and socialize, but when everything is surrounded by food and alcohol I always end up leaving in a worse mental space then before. Seeing people being able to do the simple things we can’t and wish so hard for just sucks. There’s no sugar coating it. I’d rather stay home in my “normal” then go out and be reminded of just how abnormal my life really is. I also feel more socially awkward then I ever have in my life. I have nothing to add to conversations, I’m not doing anything fun, nothing is “new” with me except more medical bullshit.
I just absolutely dread holidays, parties, or even leaving my home in general anymore. Chronic illness robs us of so much. I wish more people would understand when we say no I can’t come or no I’m not up for that, there are many reasons behind that answer.

Something that is ✨sofuckinggoofy✨ about having a chronic illness like mine is having to talk myself down from a panic attack every time I feel the slightest twinge of pain.
Like is my back aching because of my arthritis or because I've sat hunched in an unsupportive desk chair annotating a book for a good hour (the logical answer) or is my small intestine blocked and I'm flaring again because I ate the tiniest bit of popcorn a few days ago? How am I to know?
(answer is definitely the first two)

Alzeimer disease and Crohn now find relief from These natural remedies
Berner Cookies weed and Backpack Boyz weed are two strains of marijuana that have been gaining popularity in the medical community for their potential to relieve symptoms of Alzheimer's and Crohn's diseases. Alzheimer's disease is a progressive brain disorder that affects memory, thinking, and behavior. Crohn's disease is a chronic inflammatory bowel disease that causes inflammation in the digestive tract. Both diseases can be debilitating and have no known cure.
However, many medical patients have reported positive effects from using Berner Cookies cannabis and Backpack Boyz weed to manage their symptoms. Reviews and testimonials from Alzheimer's patients have noted improved cognitive function, reduced anxiety, and better sleep quality. Crohn's disease patients have reported decreased inflammation, pain relief, and improved appetite.
These strains contain high levels of THC, the psychoactive compound in marijuana, which has been shown to have anti-inflammatory and neuroprotective properties. Additionally, they contain terpenes such as myrcene and limonene, which have been linked to reducing inflammation and promoting relaxation.
Overall, Berner Cookies cannabis and Backpack Boyz weed show promise in providing relief for those suffering from Alzheimer's and Crohn's diseases. However, it is important to consult with a healthcare professional before using any form of medical marijuana. v

Methofil is making me SO nauseous today. Not even folic acid is helping with it. However, I have discovered that chewing on some sweets (ones that I know aren't hard on my stomach) helps a great deal!
I'm glad I always keep a box full of sweets for my summer students 😂

So I recently found out I am going to have to have a colectomy (for those who aren’t familiar its a surgery that removes part of your large intestine). It’s a common surgery for people with IBD or other diseases that attack the large intestine.
I’ve been reading up on the procedure, but I would love to hear from someone who has had it. Any advice? Any recommendations for things that made recovery easier? I want to be prepared as possible since it sounds like I am going to be down for the count for at least a few weeks.

I’ve been having serious gut trouble for a little over half a year. I got a colonoscopy done and the doctor was like “so we think you have Crohn’s but go ahead and go get some blood work and stool tests done”
Bro. Please, it’s bad enough I’ve had to embarrass myself by talking to y’all about all this, then to have butt exams, and a colonoscopy. I do not want to poop in a cup guys.

So here’s my story… In 2013 I became VERY ill and I was having stomach pain, diarrhoea, sickness, tiredness, loss of appetite and lost ALOT of weight.
Due to this it meant I missed out a whole year off from school, I spent most of my time on the sofa or in bed.
In 2014 I was diagnosed with Crohn’s Disease and I was put on tablets and I had to spend 6 weeks on a liquid only diet. Once i finished these 6 weeks, all the symptoms came back again.
I was then put on an intravenous medication and it started at 8 weeks and then after a while it stopped worked so I was reduced to 6 weeks and it was working but then after a while it again started to stop working so I was then put down to every 4 weeks.
It was working for a while until one night I had a SEVERE headache and I had to go to A&E, the drs told me I was having an allergic reaction to my medication so I then to switch me to a different type of medication.
I was then put on an injection based medication and it was working but after a year of being on it, my symptoms yet again came back so I was put on a different type of injection and that’s what I have been on since and has been working so far (2 years on it) but recently I have been having flare up symptoms and I’m due a colonoscopy on Monday! Wish me luck 🙏

My Crohn’s + Ulcerative Colitis Med has been denied
When I was 16 I got diagnosed with Crohn’s and Ulcerative Colitis (UC), basically my entire digestive tract has had inflammation. I started on Humira not long after my diagnosis, and since I was 16 it has worked! I am now 21, and I have to inject a pen every week, but my inflammation has gone down tremendously (and I haven’t had internal bleeding in a long time!).
Until literally the beginning of this month (August 2023) I have gotten Humira’s medication financial assistance. We found out yesterday as we were trying to renew my assistance that the company has changed the assistance policy. They did not notify us of this when it occurred. Now, even though I have been in the program for 5+ years, because I am on my mom’s insurance through her job I do not qualify. I am being told that having insurance means I can’t get the medication that has helped me for years.
My mom’s insurance makes you pay out of pocket on some specific things (that they seemingly randomly choose) until you hit the deductible, which is thousands of dollars. My insurance has denied my Humira twice now, saying the amount it’s prescribed is unnecessary. So now we are facing having no help with my Humira cost whatsoever, on top of my college tuition (and just the cost of living).
TLDR: I’ve been suddenly kicked out of a patient assistance program, and am facing having to pay for 4 Humira injection pens a month.
literally looking for any advice bc i am uhhhh afraid at best!

Spy x Family ... S2 E1? They call it episode 13 on Crunchyroll, so maybe let's just say 13:
Tumblr media
I would say who taught Anya that word, but she's probably picked it up from Damien and his little lackeys at school!
Also I want to watch the English dub of this one to hear her voice artist say shit in English lol.
And! This episode gave Yor something to do! I've been hoping she would get more stuff to do in this season, and she gets to kick a dude until he pinballs off of like 5 buildings in the service of saving Anya from the terrorists intent on killing her! Loid is really the one who is more off screen this time, except when he's at the interrogating and talking about what's going on. The fact that Yor sincerely thinks he is just still in the bathroom...I mean hey, maybe he is just part of that #CrohnsLife. (My husband has it and he likes to laugh and joke about it, make the best of the situation. In fact I sent him that picture and said #CrohnsLife haha!)
I like the opening of this season way more than I did the first season. The ending is nice too, though I think I prefer the song Comedy. This will grow on me though, I know it!
Bond's precognition and Anya's telepathy will prove to be a good combination.
