As I woke up this morning, I heard the birds chirping, and a rooster waking the world up. I climbed out of bed and was greeted by my dog with his wet nose and morning hugs. I slipped into my slippers, grabbed my robe and went to make a cup of coffee. As usual, the neighbors' barn kitty was in our kitchen window to say good morning. I looked down at the dog and asked me to take him out, he loves our morning potty walk. On our walk, I look out in the distance and see that someone is up and plowing their fields, and I smell freshly stirred earth. I’ve always loved that smell, means that Spring is near or here.

 Lately, I’ve been too focused on what isn't, what I don’t have that I wanted. My disease, Ulcerative Colitis will do that quite often, put me in my head and in a weird spot. Today though, I realized, I have everything I've always wanted. A cozy eco-friendly home in a lightly populated area where people have livestock and their own gardens, a good man and beautiful children, Family support and good friends that helped us get here Even with this flare-up, I have a lot to be thankful for today.

Put my peices back together Have I been broken forever?
