The Resort

PART ONE

Lucy's POV

'Gosh why am I so hot right now? I feel like I'm inside a sauna. Ugh, I can't move what the heck.' I finally open my eyes and it takes me a second to adjust to the light blinding me from the window. When they finally adjust I notice my issue.

"NATSU!!! GET OFF OF ME! Seriously! Move it, you big oversized man lizard!" I try to push him off of me but he is way too big for my small arms to move him. 

"Hmph, geeze Lucy can't ya keep it down. You are way too loud in the morning," Natsu says with a little bit of husk to his voice completely ignoring my insult and command for him to get off. 

"No I cannot keep it down and no I am not loud! You are just on top of me crushing me and I am sweating to death under here, move it already!"

Natsu rolls his eyes and FINALLY gets off of me, rolling over away from me. Thank Mavis, I think I was about to suffocate. 

"Why are you even in my bed anyways. You know you're not supposed to be in here, but you never listen. It's like anything I say to you just goes in one ear and right out the other."

"Hmm what did you say?" Natsu replied.

Thats it...

"LUCY KICK!!!"

"AHHHHHH! Ow Lucy.. What the heck was that for?" Natsu said with a little bit of pain in his words. When I looked down I saw him cradling his abdomen. Good, he deserved it. 

"You weren't listening to me. Also, we need to get going to the guild! We have a whole day ahead of us! I am going to go take a bath and I expect you to be up and ready when I come out." I give him a stern look to let him know I am serious. 

Anytime this happens he always ends up falling back asleep and it takes us so much longer to get to the guild. Natsu has been sneaking into my apartment through my window more recently. I don't understand why he wont use the front door. I have told him numerous times to stop doing that. I even gave him a key, because he just barges in so often anyways. I figured it was going to be less of a hassle. There is no getting through to his thick skull. Ugh, men.. or maybe just Natsu.

I finish taking my bath and when I come out Natsu is actually up and ready for once. He even made some breakfast for us... 

"What happened? Where's Natsu?" I walk up to Natsu and pull him in, touching his face and pulling at his ears and tousling his hair to make sure this is him and not a hologram or something.

Natsu just laughs and pulls me into a hug, surprising me. "I thought I should make you some breakfast for almost suffocating you this morning. Sorry about that by the way.." he says with a blush covering his face.

I pull away from him and give him a shy smile, a small blush rising to my cheeks from the unexpected hug. He has never hugged me like that before.. "No problem.." I reply. "...Let's eat and then we can head to the guild together!"

Natsu's POV

I don't know what is going on in my head right now. I had this pull in my gut to go to Lucy's apartment last night. She gave me a key, but her bed is right by the window so I have less of a chance of waking Lucy up by just going through the window instead of the front door. 

I remember when I saw her last night all I wanted to do was to lay next to her and cuddle her into my warmth to keep her safe. 'She looks so cute when she's sleeping.' Wait... where'd that thought come from? Get it together Natsu. She doesn't like you like that.. 

I fell asleep not too long after that unusual thought, still cuddling Lucy to my body to keep her warm and safe through the night.

Suddenly I wake up to a very loud, "NATSU!!! GET OFF OF ME! Seriously! Move it, you big oversized man lizard!" 

"Hmph, geeze Lucy can't ya keep it down. You are way too loud in the morning," I say, still tired from going to bed so late. 

 "No I cannot keep it down and no I am not loud! You are just on top of me crushing me and I am sweating to death under here, move it already!" I can hear the plea in Lucy's voice as she is trying to get me off of her. I roll my eyes and roll over to the side so I can stop "crushing" her. I start to fall asleep again still so exhausted.

"Why ...you ...y bed any..... You k.....not sup... to be in here, but y..... en. It's like any...o you ju....the other."

"Hmm what did you say?" I groaned out.

"LUCY KICK!!!" 

Next thing I know I am being kicked in the stomach. Why do I always get myself into these situations.. 

"AHHHHHH! Ow Lucy.. What the heck was that for?" I said clutching my stomach. That girl can swing a mean kick. I think she rearranged my organs..

"You weren't listening to me. Also, we need to get going to the guild! We have a whole day ahead of us! I am going to go take a bath and I expect you to be up and ready when I come out." She gives me a look that she thinks is serious, but I just think it makes her look cute. Wait, again Natsu? Seriously, snap out of it. 

Lucy goes off to take a bath and I decide that I should probably make her breakfast to say sorry for almost suffocating her this morning. I don't want Lucy to be in a bad mood and I want to see her start her day off with a smile. 

I finish getting breakfast together. I made Lucy's favorite.. pancakes, bacon, scrambled eggs and orange juice.  Hopefully she likes it. I want to start taking care of her more. She is always taking care of me, feeding me and letting me crash at her place. 

As I am finishing putting the table together I hear the door to the bathroom open. I instantly get these butterflies in my stomach when I see her. She looks so.... radiant. The sun shining through the window is making her golden hair glow. Her body... wow.. she has on a tight white crop top and a short skirt that shows off her lean tanned legs. Then her scent hits me. Strawberries and vanilla.. I take in a deep inhale and I can feel my hard on tight against my pants. Her scent is.... intoxicating.

I quickly mask my features as Lucy finally looks over to me and a look of shock is displayed on her face. She makes her way over to me saying, "What happened? Where's Natsu?" in a disbelieving tone. She starts touching at my face and pulling on my ears and moving her hands through my hair trying to make sure I am real. My hard on is growing even more tight through my pants. 'Sweet Mavis, she needs to stop. Her touch feels like a delicious flame caressing my body.' 

Trying to get her to stop I laugh at her attempt to make sure I am "real" and pull her in to an unexpected hug, keeping my pelvis away from her so she can't feel my arousal. I know my face is blazing pink from getting all hot and bothered by her. I am trying my best to hide it, but I don't know if she can tell.. 

"I thought I should make you some breakfast for almost suffocating you this morning. Sorry about that by the way.." 

I look down to Lucy and to my surprise she has a tint of pink to her porcelain soft cheeks as she gently pulls away and says,  "No problem.. Let's eat then we can head to the guild together!!"

"Sure Luce, maybe we can find a job just the two of us can go on together!" I reply hoping that I don't sound too enthusiastic about the idea about us spending some alone time together. 

Her blush deepens as she nervously says, "Y-yeah," then with some resolve "sure, of course!"

I sent her one of my signature goofy grins and she sent me a smile right back.  

We finished our breakfast with some small talk then made our way over to our gild hall to look for a job, just the two of us. 

What job will Lucy and Natsu end up taking? What will happen when they go off together just the two of them? To be continued..

PART TWO

Lucy’s POV

Natsu and I finished up breakfast and we headed to the guild. During our walk we were talking about what kind of job we wanted to go on together.

"So, Natsu. Where's happy at? Do you think he would want to go on the job with us?"

Natsu looks over at me and says, "Nah, he's been hanging with Carla. They are probably going to go on a job with Wendy today."

"Oh okay.. So what job do you want to go on?!" I ask enthusiastically. I have been wanting to go on a job with just Natsu since I met him. I have always had a crush on him, but he is just to dense to notice. I wish he liked me back. He is my best friend. Someone I would always get along with...

"Hmmm..," Natsu was contemplating. "I will have to look at the board when we get to the guild. Hopefully they will have something that will be a fun challenge for both of us!" 

"Yeah, sounds good to me. We don't want anything too easy that you do all the work and I just sit back and watch." I say with a wink at him. Natsu blushes and rubs at the back of his head.

"You're right. Sorry if I do that a lot. I just want to protect you from getting hurt. I know you can handle yourself, but I feel like that should be my job." Natsu was really blushing now. I have never seen him act this way.. Hmm.. 

I grab Natsu's hand holding it tight. He looks up at me with a look of shock on his face.

"It's okay. I like it when you protect me. It makes me feel safe. I know I can always count on you to save me when I need you to Natsu" 

Then, Natsu's face turns from shock to predatory.. oh no..

Natsu's POV

'Mavis help me.' I think to myself when Lucy says those words. There is a  tightening within me with her admission that she likes when I protect her. Something clicks into place and all I can do is let my instinct take over. 'Mine.'  Where that thought came from? I'm not sure. But everything in me is telling me that nobody else is allowed to touch her. Only me. 

Next thing I know I am picking up Lucy bridal style and running us to the guild.

"Ahhh! Natsu!" Lucy screams from the unexpected change. She buried her head into the crook of my neck, holding onto me tightly. It's all I could do to stop myself from growling in pleasure at how she feels this close to me. 

I run us to the guild kicking open the door with Lucy still in my arms. "WE'RE HERE!!" I yell out.  Everyone glances over to us, not really paying us any mind. Except for Mira. She is practically shaking with excitement. I can see the glee in her eyes and with my dragon slayer's hearing I can hear her squeal to herself,  "Ahhh! NaLu! Finally!" I just roll my eyes and walk me and Lucy over to the job board. 

"Natsu you can put me down now.." Lucy says with a blush staining her cheeks.

"Nah, I'm keeping you right here." I say with a wicked grin on my face. I change the way I am holding her so she has to wrap her legs around my waist. Her blush deepens and she gasps as she can feel my now very aroused member pushing up against her thigh. I can't help it. This position is sooo much better. I like the way she feels against me. Her large breasts pushing into my chest and her legs squeezing around my waist. I internally groan. 'Now if only we were laying down with nothing on...'  

As much as I want to keep daydreaming about those options I really do want to go on a job just the two of us. So I turn to the board to start looking. I know I want to change my original plan for a job. I need something that will bring Lucy and I closer together..I gaze around and my eyes snap to the perfect job. Snatching it off the board, I show Lucy and she giggles at the job I chose. 

"Really, Natsu?" she can't stop laughing at the absurdity of the job. But hey, I think it's perfect. "This is so not your style! You always want to do a job where we are fighting monsters and you can make a big mess of things! Not this... You want to go to a resort to test out their new opening?"

"Hey come on, we kinda need a break and it would be fun to get paid to test out a new resort. Come on Luce. I know it will be a good time.." I say in a husky tone adding a wink to try and persuade her.

She physically shivers against me and squeezes her legs tighter around my waist. 

"O-okay.." she nervously replied. 

I give her my signature grin.

"Alright! Let me talk to Master first, then we will go!"

Natsu is starting to make his feelings more known to Lucy. His urges getting stronger. What will happen when they go on their "job" together?  Will things heat up? To be continued..

Lucy loved a good nap, especially after reading a chapter of her favorite book and a cup of warm peppermint tea.

Laying in bed as the sun streamed through the glass of her window made her bed delightfully warm, ensuring the most comfortable of sleeps.

She also thanked the universe for bringing her Natsu, undoubtedly the best napping partner that ever existed.

He was a cuddle bug, quick to sleepily pull her into his grasp and nuzzle against her like a cat. Instead of a soft snore erupting from him, a gentle purr always vibrated up his throat. The melody soothed Lucy to sleep, finding herself most comfortable when he snuck under her sheets.

i kinda love that natsu doesn’t canonically have a nickname for lucy. i love that he fully says her name, no shortening, no honorifics. just lucy. her name, never changing in his vocabulary. her name, safe in his mouth and delicate on his tongue.
