On one hand, part of me thinks that the Time Quangle has to do with this unidentifiable rage god, going back in time to either prevent being forgotten or get revenge against those who made them a forgotten deity and, ultimately, 'dead'. On the other hand, the time quangle might possibly be due to the Rat Grinders going back in time to ensure the Bad Kids never become friends since they hate them so famously.

And on the third hand this time quangle could be wholly removed from the main plot and be about something totally inconsequential, or even related to one of the Bad Kid's running bits - like Fig's disguises. Wanda Chillda could be the time quangle, and no one would ever know because she's so mysterious and tiny!

Guys, its not some fucking “bad luck devil” or whatever. It’s clearly this fucking time gargler or whatever the fuck that’s behind all this nonsense. Aguefort literally lays it out for us that the quangle makes things happen out of order. Things like, say…Zelda and Gorgug being broken up even though we know from the Seven that they’re still together in Junior year, or Aelwyn suddenly moving out and going from a snarky 19 year old whose never had a job or gone to college to a middle school teacher with 5 cats in the course of 3 months, or the sophomore album being 10 months late even though Fig only finished her debut a little over 16 months ago AND they were in the middle of the tour, or Hallariel and Gilear getting engaged after like a year when 3 months ago Gilear wasn’t even allowed to sleep in her bed, and Sklonda defending one of the organizers of this folk festival when the festival hasn’t even happened yet, or Figs birthday suddenly moving from Christmas to July.

she's doing a time loop, or has been doing one

she found the rogue teacher at 8:01 bc she spent a year or two looking last loop and just knew where to start

she's hated riz since freshman year for something he hasnt done yet or for something he's in the process of doing this year

she doesn't want oisin involved because last time it went wrong for him

maybe she keeps looping to prevent something from happening. maybe it's to stop ankarna. maybe the bad kids initially brought back ankarna and caused a disaster and thats why she hates riz gukgak. Maybe riz is the one who ran against her the first time

maybe she filled out lucy's paperwork to swap gods because she learned the gods name in an alternate timeline and it didnt break oblivati mori bc it hadn't happened yet

i really like the theory that she was impersonating jace when henry got yelled at. maybe last time henry got too involved and pulled ruben out before they could finish whatever it is theyre doing

maybe she's got her party grinding rats day in and day out bc the alternative missions were just as grindy and dull to her and at least this way she can guarantee they're safe

she just has the vibes of someone who thinks she knows exactly how the game is supposed to go and then gets mad when her speed run is ruined by a little chaotic rng (the bad kids)
