the same thing has been bothering me about sunak's speech today that got to me during the shitshow following the snp opposition vote for a ceasefire. every time someone takes a fundamental stance of solidarity with the palestinian people we somehow manage to get sidetracked into whining about our beloved 'demoracy'. protestors are extremists, this is a threat to our 'democracy'. labour want to vote on their specific cowardly way of calling for a ceasefire, if they aren't allowed it's a threat to our 'democracy'.

and lo and behold we have been manipulated into spending the following few days relitigating on what the principles of a western liberal democracy are rather than talking about the atrocities being committed against the palestinian people.

and throughout none of this does anyone even stop to question the obvious. since our beloved 'democracy' clearly finds genocide not just permissable but in fact favourable, maybe it should be threatened. pressured and strained until it falls apart under the weight of its own hypocrisy and inhumanity.

I’m gonna be so real with all of you.

Rant under the cut (oh boy here we go)

My therapist told me it was good to not keep all of my emotion built up, and to talk about it more. And I have some thoughts on Wizardblr.

Specifically, Mary Sues. It’s fine if it’s played right, and at the same time, it’s frustrating to rp with if you’re not a Mary Sue.

For example, The Nameless Deity. It was supposed to be a threat. Like, the one above all. Gods crumble beneath its power. And it got beaten.

Because I let it.

Another example is Thryll. He is supposed to be the god of Decay. Very strong. And yet, gets countered by almost anything. From gods of existence, to a houseplant. And on top of that, Thryll (in my opinion) is commonly made fun of for that.

Now, what I am not trying to do is change your characters. I don’t want to force you guys to do anything against your will. You put a shit ton of effort into your characters. And I don’t want to take that away.

It does make it frustrating to RP my characters if they get countered at every corner. I’m sorry if this seems sudden.

Biggest insult is that she says shes for decriminalizing sex work but then says any study into the idea should instead be PRIVATELY FUNDED PORTLAND IS A MAJOR HUB FOR PROSTITUTION AND HUMAN TRAFFICKING, THIS SHIT NEEDED TO HAPPEN YESTERDAY Fucking libs man, cant even get them to fund a committee to look into the idea of solving a problem without fellating the notion of the private sector doing everything for them.
