The prime minister of the UK has just confirmed that he will change the law to allow the conservative party to forcibly deport immigrants to Rwanda.
The SUPREME COURT of the UK found this policy unlawful, the government were told they CANNOT do this.
Their response? Change the law
This policy is a threat to the lives of refugees who fled here seeking support and asylum, as a country we should be kind and welcoming. Instead these poor people are being sent straight back into the instability and violence they risked their lives to escape.
Rwanda has a history of being used to 'sweep refugees under the rug', having signed a similar deal with Israel. The supreme court found that Rwanda has previously violated laws protecting immigrant against refoulement, as it has sent people back to the nations they fled. Directly violating international treaties and violating the rights granted to refugees and asylum seekers.
Sunak also stated that he will not allow the European human rights court to block this policy and will revisit any treaties that may act as "obstacles" to this policy.
They are trying to get out of THE INTERNATIONAL BILL OF HUMAN RIGHTS! The refugge system in Rwanda is so unsafe that this is a human rights issue! And our government want to violate those rights for thousands of immigrants they are determined not to help.
These people are hell bent on making life miserable for refugees. The deputy chair of the conservatives stated the government should "ignore the law and start the flights anyway".
Rishi Sunak is also introducing "emergency legislation" in order to force this through parliament and the courts.
Where have we heard that before?
These are the same emergency powers that allow laws to be passed without parliamentary votes. The same emergency powers that enabled the "war on terror" so the UK and US could commit war crimes. The same emergency powers used by the nazis to legitimise the holocuase
This is facism! Plain as day.
I am very very worried for the future of my country and the future of this world. Facism is not on the rise, it is here. We must watch very very closely, at home and abroad, so that we can act accordingly and protect ourselves.

The conservative view point that their inferiors in society dont deserve more is fueled more by the propagation of their own systemic benefit than any real belief about work ethics.
It has nothing to do with an innate belief that people "flipping burgers" don't deserve more, and everything to do with an innate understanding that if they fight for a society which uplifts the maligned and impovershed, then they have to settle for less.
And they're unwilling to have a slightly harder life in order to create a better and more caring society. They're unwilling to give up an insubstantial amount of their own gains so that other people can even exist.
Capitalism cannot function without an excessive amount of suffering and they're fine with that.

I think I'm gonna speak for a lot of Anarchists when I say this... stop trying to shove us in political boxes. Anarchy, by definition, is the REJECTION of those political boxes.
Do I see the Republican general view on some issues? Yes. Do I agree with the liberal mindset on other issues? Yes.
That doesn't make me Democratic OR Republican. That doesn't make me left wing, right wing, liberal or conservative.
It makes me a person with a conscience, moral code, opinion and belief. It makes me human. For the love of Jesus Christ of Nazareth PLEASE stop trying to categorize it and categorize me. People are so much more than labels, stereotypes and titles.

something is in the air, not just today but especially today. it was hot this morning - a 74 degree morning in last days of october. the humidity was thick and weighing on me. the rain has been full of heat lately; this morning was no exception. so suddenly, the wind picked up as if out of nowhere and we were consumed by a wall of cool air. the rain continued to fall, but the cold stayed. now it's supposed to dip into the 40s or 30s tonight. how rapid, how unsettling, how consequential. i just… i can't be imaging that i'm watching the world die, and humans die with it. unhoused people dying of heat all summer and now going to be the people to take the brunt of the extreme cold + wet. and at the same time, genocides are being intentionally committed for the interest of this empire. and these things are not separate from one another. the earth is unhappy with this way of things. i am unhappy along with her. what can i learn from her long, mournful heat - her dragging of the season and switching abruptly between intense states. can i channel the chilling force of the air itself?

So, I have this Earthspark headcanon
In their spare time, Arcee and Megatron help fight for the rights of marginalized people on Earth. Help organize protests, volunteer in orgs and foundations that are all about human rights, picket with unions, fundraise for charities, maybe with Hashtag's help even hack the bank accounts of rich fucks and donate that money to charities they work with
And y'know what?
It's a bittersweet headcanon because now I want to vent to Megatron and Arcee about my struggles of being a CEE leftist and not fitting in with a large portion of Western leftists due to my Central European background influencing my views on foreign policy and communism. Even though they are fictional characters, I want validation, comfort and affirmation from them. I want them to tell me that my historical trauma of what communism did to my country is real, without those empty platitudes of "it's not real communism" because IT WAS REAL ENOUGH TO ME AND MILLIONS OF OTHERS! I want them to tell me that it's okay to prioritize my and my loved ones' safety instead of wanting them dead in the name of "anti-imperialism". I want them to hold me in their hands and comfort me
Shit, now I'm ugly crying

I'm not going to dignify the post I just saw with attention or a response, so I'm just going to say this:
Everyone deserves access to healthcare. Everyone.
Is this the most alt-right MAGA evangelical extremist to ever hold a Trump rally in the Waffle House parking lot? Yeah? Do they have cancer? Yeah? They deserve chemo/radiation.
Is this the TERFiest TERF of TERFdom who still calls herself a political lesbian and has "no hogwarts house in bio dni?" Yeah? Does she have diabetes? Yeah? She deserves insulin.
Is this the king of all incels who tells people he perceives as "females" in CoD lobbies to make him a sandwich and thinks women who wear spaghetti straps "deserve it?" Yeah? Can he walk? No? He deserves a wheelchair.
If your activism begins and ends with the people you like, it's not activism. It's fascism with a gay hat.

I want Rank Choice voting.
I want third party Presidents.
I want the abolishment of party politics.
I want politicians to be voted on individual merit.
I want strict term limits for our politicians.
I want to overturn Citizens United V. FEC.
I want to live in a country that I don’t have to be so completely disappointed in.
These are all good things to want… but what you all need to understand is that these are all very, very long term goals.
And the 2024 elections are not going to wait that long.
We need short term solutions as well as long term solutions so that the short term solutions will keep us afloat long enough to reach those long term goals.
And I hate to say it. I mean I really, really, really, really hate to say it.
But Biden is our best short term solution right now.
I know, believe me, I know. The man is a war criminal and a coward and a fucking murderer. The very fact that I am in any way advocating for him makes me sick to my fucking stomach. I hate Biden and I hate the fact that this is how far our country has fucking fallen.
But it really is either him or Trump.
We can vote for a third party candidate all we want, but even if they win by thousands, hundreds of thousands, millions of votes in the popular vote…
That all adds up to maybe a handful of electoral votes as far as the Electoral College is concerned. And as far as the president is concerned, those are the only votes that matter.
It really is either Biden or Trump.
And as terrible, godawful, outright evil as Biden is… we can survive him. We cannot survive another four years of Trump.
He will do everything in his power to turn the U.S. into an outright dictatorship, and if he succeeds, we can kiss any short term or long term goals goodbye. The only goal left will be surviving. That’s it.
And I know this means the genocide in Palestine will continue, but let’s just be honest with ourselves, it’ll continue under Trump too, if not be outright worse.
Trump idolizes tyrants and dictators. You really think he won’t bend over backwards for Israel and give them everything they need to turn Gaza into a glass floor?
I know people are sick to death of hearing things like ‘damage control’, but as far as the presidential election is concerned, damage control is literally all we have left.
However, that’s just the presidential election. We have other options. We can still vote on the state level, we can still protest, we can still advocate, we can still fight.
We can do everything in our power to put more good people in the system, besides the President, who will bring Biden to heel, call him out, drag him through the mud if need be, but that will be a lot easier to do with Biden than with Trump.
Don’t let anyone tell you it’s too little or not enough. They just don’t want you to exercise the power you have because it is a threat to them.

I'm sure there were days during the Civil War or World War 2 where civilians and soldiers alike thought "you know, it's only a matter of time before things REALLY start going downhill." No matter how bad things get, people get used to it and assume that there will be an undeniable shift from before to after. I'm sure there were people who thought those wars were premature, that they weren't nearly as bad as we know they are in hindsight. "It's no big deal, we shouldn't exaggerate."
We live in a society where murder is not only acceptable but encouraged by the ruling party. Things aren't going to pop off in near the future, they're popping off around us as we speak. They have been for years! Historians will look back at where we are right now not as a transitional period between peace and war, not a prelude, but full-fledged war itself. The only argument will be over what year it officially started. 2016? 2012? 2001? The entire 21st century has been a downward spiral. Hell, the final third of the 20th century is what really set us back; Nixon, Reagan, Gingrich, the beginning of the end.
Everyone thinks they'll know for sure when The Change™ comes. They think we're on the precipice of doom, but we need to come to terms with the fact that we plummeted over the edge a long time ago. Cops and domestic terrorists kill with impunity, homelessness is on the rise as wages drop and prices skyrocket across the board, every day the noose gets tighter as women and trans people and gay people and people of color and the disabled have their rights stripped away one bill at a time, and we think that things are normal because we still go to work and watch movies and play video games...
You best start believing in the post-apocalypse, because you're living in it!

I'm tired of rebellion only being acceptable if you rebel in a politically correct fashion.
I'm tired of hate speech being acceptable as long as it's directed at the "correct group."
I'm tired of watching the church bow down to deranged elitists and corrupt government.
I'm tired of truth being manipulated.
I'm tired of cancel culture being normalized.
I'm tired of intolerance being tolerated.
I'm tired of skin color being a factor in judging and loving others.
I'm tired of equality turning into revenge.
I'm tired of gender defining identity, expectations and capability.
I'm tired of the "kill all men" twisted doctrine.
I'm tired of misogyny and chauvinism.
I'm tired of the boxes and the stereotypes...
With no space allowed to exist in between.
Let's start a proper revolution.
A revolution of love.
A revolution of proud existence, proud resistance and total disregard to what is considered "acceptable."
A revolution they can't dictate. They can't profit from. They can't control.
A revolution they can't stick in boxes of left or right or central or up or down or sideways.
Anarchy in its purest form.
Reblog if you see through the political mind manipulation games of the modern world.

Rant about Politics
All the philosophers have retreated, or died, or caved in to handouts and the subsidies of the civilised world, which is dominated by the sick dance of consumerist greed, whose partner is the threat of fascist dictatorship, apartheid and genocide. And together they swoon in their own delirium, intoxicating all that stand at their feet with their sick prancing. There are few in it who can really step back and look on at its true horrific face, most choose to blindly chew the cud of their existence.

Back in 2013 I went to the streets and demonstrated along with thousands in my city against the Muslim brotherhood, that fanatic group that sadly came to power a year earlier. I raised my voice back then saying that those fanatic fuckers do not represent my country, my culture or my religion.
Today, after 100 days of continuous genocide in Gaza, I feel an urgent need to raise my voice again to say three massive truths:
1- Hamas DO NOT represent the Palestinian people, the Palestinian resistance, or Palestinian muslims.
2- Israel, and specifically that corrupt war criminal Netanyahu, DO NOT represent the Jewish people. In fact, it is so awfully disrespectful to the Jewish people that this maniac is carrying out a genocide in their name, ignoring the voices of millions of Jews all over the world calling for peace.
3- NO COUNTRY should be an exception to international law
Three massive obvious truths that I'm sad there is still the need to repeat them today!

Political rant beneath
Absolutely wild to me that our political leaders can manage to sell out our very REAL land where people survive and depend upon for some shit that society made up like debt and money.
Greed is a disease just as much as any pipeline is to surrounding nature and when it’s done with the native folk and the poor it’ll come for whoever else is next in line.

Hey just some logic for all the politically correct try-hards: If you are part of a minority and if it impacts your life is determined solely by geography and your local population. Experiencing mistreatment and being politically ostracized by the most politically powerful groups in your region can happen to anybody. And those powerful groups can be seen as minorities in other locations. Both can be true at the same time. Local government is powerful.
