lets give it up for pokemon public transit! going off the zones idea what if you unlock new zones by improving or helping out the transit system
the way id thought for it to happen was through this chain of events
- by helping out the baker lady, you can now bake poffins (this is one of the very first quests)
- poffins can be used as pokemon bait, but importantly they can also be used to invigorate and wake up sleeping snorlax
- snorlax have started to block the walkways in streets because the dumpsters behind restuarants attract them, so you cant walk by until you wake them up
- after waking them and helping them better integrate into the city as mascots for the different dining locations (basically a fat snorlax outside is the sign the food you serve is good, so stores begin competing as to whos snorlax is the best fed/cutest. it also prevents any food waste from table scraps!) you can then travel to the areas formerly blocked off by snorlax
- one of the formerly blocked areas was the grassy hills/powerplant zone, which is in need of repairs after a staraptor flew into one of the windmills after being disoriented by the glare of skyscrapers
- by repairing the power plant, the underground metro is opened up again, and you're rewarded with a forever train pass by the powerplant worker as thanks
- this unlocks fast travel throughout the city, and you can revisit any area youve formerly been to. the trainer character will refuse to fast travel to areas theyve never visited on foot before though, in similar fashion to the 'theres a time and place for everything' dialogue prompted by trying to use a key item innapropriately. this is because the pc is only 10 and not comfortable riding the train alone to new areas until theyve met someone there
- (suggested by my boyfriend) the loading screen in between areas could be the inside of a metro car, the people inside the car would gradually be the NPCs you help along the way. so it starts with a mostly empty car, or a car full of blank npcs, but by the end of the game the car would be full of almost entirely familiar faces

Stray Kids Reaction - They Pretend They Forgot Your Birthday
Requested by anon: Hi!! I was wondering if I could request for Stray kids where they act like they forgot the readers birthday to surprise the reader. The reader could be there significant other or best friend. Thank you so much !!!! <3
Bang Chan: I think that out of everyone, Christopher is probably the one who held it together the best. He managed to not be fighting himself to tell you or not. He'd be composed and you wouldn't even think he was pretending but that it was a genuine slip of the mind. Then he surprises you when you least expect it and it brings such joy to your face and he knows that even if he may have worried you, it was worth the smile and enjoyment on your face.
"Happy Birthday!"
Lee Know: Minho is also pretty good at keeping it together, but he can't help but want to tell you that he does know it's your birthday to get rid of the sadness on your face. He doesn't falter physically, but his heart is yelling at him to just wish you a happy birthday and give you your gift in the middle of the grocery store just to see you smile.
"Just a few more minutes and then you can tell them."
Changbin: Suffers so much to keep his mouth shut. Every three seconds it seems, Changbin almost does something that would most definitely give away that he does know it's your birthday. He'd been planning on having a more romantic dinner to celebrate but seeing you moping around was so hard and he just wanted to attack you with hugs and kisses to make it all better.
"Happy- HAPPENS! Happens so often? You know me...randomly saying...things?"
Hyunjin: It's a miracle you haven't caught on yet with Hyunjin. He's avoiding you at all costs because he knows he's gonna crack the moment he sees you. You show up in a room and he makes up an excuse to leave for another while he attempts to get things ready. He'd give in a bit quicker than the rest and ultimately scrap his original idea and randomly surprise you with a lot of attention after a few hours of avoiding you.
"I can't do this anymore! Happy Birthday! There!"
Han: Squirrel in headlights. Jisung sees you and freezes. He buffers, like a lot. He can't seem to think of anything to say that isn't 'happy birthday, I love you!' And you pick up on it, but you simply attribute it to him being his normal weird self when he's with you. And when he does pull you into the dining room with your favorite meal all set out - a bit burnt but still edible - it all makes sense.
"Do you know how hard it is to pretend I don't remember your birthday?"
Felix: I don't know if Felix would be able to keep it together unless he got you out of the house or didn't see you until everything was ready. He's not used to keeping things from you or pretending he doesn't remember important dates. He remembers everything pertaining to you - and you know that. So that makes it more difficult, and he'll practically be in tears by the fact that he's the cause of the hurt you're feeling.
"Just five more minutes. Five. More. Minutes. Then you can say 'Happy Birthday.' Five more minutes."
Seungmin: Also does a good job of keeping it together without you noticing. Seungmin just opts to be a bit more reserved and takes his sweet time thinking about answers to your prompting questions. It does take a bit of convincing and acting but he manages to pull through until he surprises you with a nice dinner at your favorite restuarant.
"I would never forget your birthday. Never in a thousand years."
I.N: Wishy-washy here. Jeongin hates hurting you, but he knows that his gift will make up for it especially since it was something you'd been wanting for a while, and he was somehow getting away with making your favorite childhood dish without you realizing - maybe that's because it doesn't look edible. But it's the thought that counts. And sure enough, you are glad when he finally wishes you a happy birthday, although now he wonders what's in store for his own birthday.
"I'm sorry you had to wait for so long, but happy birthday!"

Murasakibara Headcanon - As an Adult Basketballplayer
- Is especially eager for international matches so he can try foreign cuisine. - That one bakery in a small alley most overlook in Berlin? He knows of it. That one expensive restuarant in Beverly Hills only the rich dine at? He’s used his famous athlete status to get in. Trust me when I say that man knows all the best foodplaces.  -He’ll take you to every single one whenever you can go with him, but on trips where you can’t, you can bet he’s bought you souvenirs. Which might mostly have been foreign candy. Which he probably couldn’t refrain himself from eating some on the way back home. Oopsies. -Typically gets scolded by his coach for overeating now he’s an adult and has to put in the most extra training out of all the GOM; as to make sure he burns those calories (adults gain weight more easily). -Which in turn makes him gain more muscles then he ever did before. -Paired with his persona, many will be under the unfair impression he’s a friendly giant. -Someone on Twitter will be gossiping about wether he’s on the mental and emotional level of a five year old. -But it won’t put him down as his s/o will be there with his favourite candy. -Considering Murasakibara typically gravitates towards people who can make decisions, I can imagine his s/o to be the one wearing the pants at home. -The two of you won’t be a couple that has a baby at a young age. You already need to look after Murasakibara as he’s chasing his dreams, and you enjoy dotting on him and seeing him shine on the court before the two of you begin to talk about wether you want a baby to dote on.

♢  —    @bogachs asked: 🎶 → listening to music, catching their expression or movement

Tumblr media Tumblr media
Dottore doesn’t expect to hear the once-familiar sounds of the chang ring out in the streets beneath the murmuring of the crowd and shuffling of people and manage to float in through the restuarant’s window. To most, despite the CHANG’S unique sound from lack of further vibrations when plucked, it would likely not even be acknowledged. If it was, it probably barely register to their ears. But to one who was ONCE very familiar with the sound, he cannot help but immediately lock onto it, especially when it is so far from its home in the desert. How ODD.
Red eyes flick towards Pantalone, but is unsurprising to see that he’s still droning on with some investors about some INSIPID plan of his for economic gains. In other words, nothing but discussions so boring he’d rather deal with trying to pluck teeth from a particularly vicious spinocrocodile than continue listening to these discussions of investments and economic fluctuations. Why had HE even been dragged to this? This was hardly his place among the demands of higher etiquette and fine dining that was ABSURDLY priced for what was often MEDIOCRE food at best, and in such small quantities. Perhaps it was fine for those who enjoyed those multiple courses, but he’d rather prefer one big meal.
He watches as multiple servers arrive to deliver who knows what course, although since it was some rice dish by the looks of it, it was probably the fourth. And the fourth Dottore would not eat. Rather than sit around getting bored out of his mind and potentially jabbed under the table for ‘SCARING’ people as he got more visibly irritated with boredom, Dottore slips away in the flurry and sounds of drinks being refilled. It doesn’t take long for him to head outside the establishment and to follow the sounds of the chang’s unique song a short distance away to the streets.
There’s a moment of smug delight when he sees the familiar instruments, the traditional drums and wind instruments paired with it, and the group that performs. THEY  may have left the desert, but the desert never left THEM. It showed in how they moved, the quick reflexes from being ready to recover if sand should suddenly cave underfoot or rocks shatter apart, or to avoid a scorpion’s ambush. Much to Dottore’s delight, he notices the food cart with plenty of MEAT to sink his teeth into. He was here, might as well indulge without Pantalone’s disdainful stare or commentary. Food and music. It was an effective combination based on the crowd. Dottore thinks nothing in spending a few more to sink his teeth into much more tasty and filling food as he stands to the side at a distance, mask cast aside while he listens to the music and eats in peace.
“  I take it your little SYMPOSIUM went well?  “  Dottore isn’t QUITE sure how long he’s stood leaning in the shade, red eyes fixated on the musicians still playing. The crowds had changed several times already. Fifteen, twenty minutes then? Mayhaps more. But he had felt when Pantalone’s gaze had turned in his direction and spotted him, watched the second listen to the performance with more attention than he typically allotted to performers other than some especially talented or flashy performers. What Pantalone sees though, Dottore doesn’t have a clue. It’s an easy excuse. he hasn’t heard the sound in a long time with the number of CHANG players dwindling. It will be longer still till he hears it again, IF he ever gets to hear it again.
Finally Dottore turns away from the musician to look at Pantalone who still seems to be WATCHING. Was he surprised to see Dottore not causing chaos or somewhere he shouldn’t be? ...Probably. Last time he had gone somewhere unauthorized when Pantalone hadn’t been paying attention. Dottore clicks his tongue.  “  Are you done then? Can we go? Your POINTLESS insistence on me coming along wasted time I COULD  have used for my research you know.  “  He says, disregarding the fact he’d stayed right here the whole time as if it was nothing.

Razorlight - Hammaermith Apollo - 12/5/23
***a review about not writing a review***
Nic Bennett
Tumblr media
I probably shouldn't have started replying to an email this late at night:
Razorlight were on top form and the high energy performance was brilliantly attended by a happy and enthusiastic near-capacity-crowd, considering the train strikes. Of course, the venue itself can affect the experience of a gig. As a room, for sound and atmosphere, the Hammersmith Apollo is generally better than Brixton Academy so, the forced change of location wasn't a bad thing in that regard.
Before the show, my girlfriend and I had dinner at the vegan restuarant in the church at the side of the Apollo, where Björn and Carl from Razorlight were also dining so, the idea that they care about animals and the planet put us in high spirits ready for the show. We all left the restuarant at the same time to get inside the gig for opener, ELLiS*D, who I'd been chatting to briefly leading up to this show; to let him know we were coming down after seeing him play drums with Johnny Borrell in Jealous Nostril at the brilliant St Alban's pub, The Horn.
Going to a live event most nights of the week, we know what all the different venues can be like and we were mostly prepared for the airport-style security that always seem to undo all the good work for the planet that restaurants like that do so well at; by having us surrender bottles of water to be wasted and thrown into landfill. It's also not good, from a business side, for the bar takings inside as I, for one, don't like to have (buy) alcohol unless I have water with me to also drink (the tap water there is undrinkable, and if you buy a small bottle of water, you have to take the cap off and hold it the whole time). To be fair, O2 venues have a worse bag policy but the Eventim Apollo security (who's bright yellow uniforms and loud walkie talkies [which are just as present, and even more distracting, when they're constantly walking around the stalls at a seated comedy show or a quieter, acoustic performance there] all seem very uncessary; completely ruining the show for the audience) treat everyone as if they are a terrorist or drug carrier; putting anyone in a bad mood before it's even started.
It's assumed and accepted that this is for our ([mostly] the paying public's) own safety due to the size of the venue and the type of character the band's music will attract.
To put that into perspective, The Royal Albert Hall holds 1,931 more people than the Hammermith Apollo and hosts similar bands to Razorlight, yet concet goers there are greeted in a warm way and are allowed to bring in bags of any size with their own water (+ lids intact!), with nobody using it as a missile (which is apparently the reason why you can't even be sold bottled water with lids in the Apollo). There's less chance of passing out from dehydration and they can still keep the bottle of water with them for the journey home, when shops are closed. Everyone leaves happy and the staff say goodbye to you with a smile there.
After the support acts, we bump into a few different friends from other bands, who, like us, have wristbands to stay behind for the aftershow bar. We agree to catch up with them then for a water and a beer/gin, after Razorlight's performance, whilst we'll be simultaneously waiting for the price of Uber to go down after the quick exit of fans leaving the venue.
We are about to launch our brand new website with the help of my girlfriend's brother, who designs posters and merchandise for huge films, such as the Marvel franchise so, it's going to be bigger and better than ever before! It's getting a new name to, as we say goodbye to The Lost Review. Our new online magazine, The Hindu Times, will be  named after the Oasis song (due to our large amount of features on guitar bands that came along after the Britpop movement) and my girlfriend's religion.
I mention this because at the aftershow, everything was fine and chilled, but the security insisted on walking through, interrupting conversations to check everything was in order. People began to feel uneasy as more and more security began to appear. We had only just bought our drinks before security approached the only person in the room of Indian descent (my girlfriend); telling her she had to leave. My girlfriend is a wonderful and caring person, whose full time job is working at children's hospice. The balance of giving children the best end of life care she can in the day, whilst enjoying the arts (from from more than one culture) in the evening is as an important diet as a vegan one is to us. She also writes all the reviews for the theatre shows we go to, with true passion.
I asked the security guard why we had to leave and he replied by saying that she had to go but I (the white guy [like majority of the room]) could stay, with no explanation. I explain that we live together and will be leaving together. I know how things can escalate with security guards so, I didn't want to question why + we were only going to stay for 5 or 10 minutes anyway, just to catch up with a few people and wait for an Uber so, I tell him we'll quickly finish our drinks and leave.
I mention our descriptions in this email because I'm unsure if it has any relevance. And from my description, that explains why I don't/wouldn't understand if it has any relevance or not.
The security guard immediately called for backup and put his hand on my arm with a firm grip where we were sitting. More security came, and they agreed to let us stay for 5 minutes, so we could have some of our drinks and not have to wait outside on the street for too long, before 5 security guards came to escort us down the stairs and out of the building, with one threatening violence.
The experience of the gig unfortunately overshadowed the performance of the band's classic line up still at the top of their game so, I've held off writing a review for now, as I'm not sure how I feel about it all and what to make of it.

The Effects of Covid-19 on a Small Restuarant Chain
By: Madison Foletta
ID #67228061
Friday 11 am discussion
Covid-19 has had a significant impact on the economy, including the restaurant industry. During the pandemic, I worked at a small restaurant chain called Island’s Restaurant. Using economic concepts of supply and demand, competitive markets, and externalities, I can explain how the pandemic has affected Islands Restaurants
Tumblr media
Supply and Demand:
The pandemic has caused troubles in both the supply and demand for food products. Supply chain disruptions and shortages of ingredients have led to higher prices for some food items, making it more expensive for restaurants to get ingredients. On the demand side, consumer preferences have shifted as more people choose to stay home and avoid eating out, leading to a decrease in demand for restaurant meals. This has put pressure on small restaurant chains to adapt to the changing market conditions. These effects are shown in the graph below:
Tumblr media
Competitive Markets:
The restaurant industry is highly competitive, with many small restaurant chains competing for the same customers. During the pandemic, small restaurant chains have had to compete for a smaller pool of customers, as more people are staying home and cooking their meals. To remain competitive, Islands has had to adapt by offering takeout and delivery options, increasing outdoor seating, as well as adjusting their menus by removing items to save money on ingredients.
Externalities:
The COVID-19 pandemic has created externalities that have affected Islands. For example, social distancing measures have reduced the number of customers that can be served in a restaurant at any given time. This has forced small restaurant chains to operate at reduced capacity, which has reduced their revenue. Furthermore, the pandemic has led to increased costs for small restaurant chains, as they must invest in new safety measures to protect their customers and employees.
Deadweight Loss:
Deadweight loss is a concept in economics that refers to the loss of economic efficiency that occurs when the equilibrium for a market is not achieved. Specifically for Islands Restaurants during the COVID-19 pandemic, the deadweight loss may occur due to a decrease in demand for meals. As fewer customers choose to dine out, Islands may not be able to sell as much food as they normally would. This decrease in demand results in a decrease in the quantity of food supplied by Islands, leading to a decrease in economic efficiency. This reduction in efficiency is reflected in a deadweight loss, which occurs when the quantity of food demanded by customers is less than the quantity of food supplied by the Islands. As a result, Islands may not be able to sell all of the food they have prepared, which leads to waste and inefficiency.

A Normal Day Of Gray Fullbuster
Wake up and I am tired. I get dressed and put my keys in a bag. I know Lucy is probably gonna steal us breakfast or something on the way. I grabbed my bag. I need to attend at least 1 class today or I will be expelled by Makarov. Or so I was told. So I better suk it up and deal with it. Maybe an easy class. I take some classes online at home and at night so that's how we aren't failing. The students think we are bribing or threatening the teachers. My favorite theory yet is the fact, Lucy is the headmaster's granddaughter and brother is a teacher meaning SHE gets passing grades and WE are her friends meaning we are passing. The headmaster doesn't know the first thing about favoritism! Besides Lucy flips him off every time she sees him. And as for Laxus, he makes it the hardest potions for her so no help there!
There was a knock on my door. "Who's there!?" I yelled.
"It's me Levy!" Probably being forced to listen to Freed's lectures again. Whelp I guess I have to help out.
"Come in." She kicks the door open and slams it shut the runs through my kitchen, "Freed and hunger problems?" I asked. I never seen her run in fear like this before.
"The bad ones were at my house." The bad ones are people who put children in orphanages. Levy has avoided them for 10 years. My dad is at work 23 of 24 hours of the day so this is her first go to place. 10 years ago her parents died in a car crash. "Can I stay with you? Maybe you can help by pretending to be my boyfriend? You know, the father disapproves of you and such act on our way to school, I want to take the defense classes!"
"Alright. But hurry up and grab your bag and books. We have 10 minutes and we still have to have breakfast!" I ordered. She rushed to the guest room to grab the book bag. We climb into the car and drive til Lucy and Natsu sprinting towards us. "What the hell did you do now!?" I yelled as they jumped in.
"They refused to serve Natsu just because he has pink hair, They scolded him for dying it. But it's natural. He burnt half the place down. Breakfast sandwiches anybody?" She asked dropping a bag in my lap.
"I'm driving. I'll eat at school. Thanks."
So I attended the class and a few classes(out of order Professor Clives was so angry. Ha!) after that. Then I left campus for lunch. I took out my phone and read: Won't be home tonight. Can you take care of yourself? - Dad. I let out a sigh, just like every night. It feels a bit lonely. Yeah I Guess - Me.
Something pulls me out of the car. "So what if your dad works late again? We get to beat up Zeref!" Natsu said with glee. "Quit your crying!"
"I wasn't crying!" I snapped. Natsu constantly wants to beat up Zeref. Ever since Zeref attacked Lucy he wanted to beat him in a fight. As I am his best friend, I have to back him up or take over if he dies in the process. Natsu uses his magic, Zeref doesn't. Natsu doesn't use weapons, Zeref does. I am concern because Zeref has been training since he was little, Natsu only had his magic for a year or two.
After school we dined at Cait Shelter, a popular restuarant. What made it popular wasn't the food. It was a little 12 year old who worked there. The employees adopted her, fed her, clothed her, and sent her to school. She was so grateful that she helped them out. She said they didn't need to pay her. The girl mostly sang and kept the guest entertained.
I arrived home bruise from another Natsu vs Zeref fight tired of running from the teachers. I just want something to change. Would it be possible for father to come home?

Not all unagi dishes are the same. Some are a little more complicated. Like the Nagoya style unagi served at Hitsumabushi Bincho. I explain this in my blog post here http://blukats.blogspot.com/2019/08/hitsumabushi-bincho.html

Basic Instinct Chapter 9
BASIC INSTINCT PART 9
A/N: I know it was mean to end on such a cliffhanger, sue me. But I just wanted to draw out the fluff okay! It's important to have the sugar in between the hurt. Chapter 9 was supposed to be longer, but it exceeded Tumblr's word limit. I'll be posting the second half after my next headcanon, so stay tuned! Masterpost
Akashi couldn't believe his eyes when you sprinted towards him, the panda plushy in your arms. Your threw your arms around his neck, the plushy digging into his skin as you excitedly pressed your lips against his; giving the anxious boy his answer. The store clerk that had escorted you smiled at the two of you before slowly disappearing to give the two of you some privacy. You quickly pulled back, both of you were blushing and you sported an apologetic face. "I'm sorry! I didn't put much thought into it! I should have asked for your consent," you babbled as you burried your red face in your hands, the panda plushy dangling from your chin. Akashi smiled gently, though he could feel himself shaking from joy. "It's okay," he breathed. 'She kissed me, she kissed me, she kissed me!' The thought was playing over in a loop inside of his mind. 'She likes me, she said yes! I mean, she kissed me!' The two of you stood still in the middle of the store, both of you felt the chemistry and joy racing underneath your skin like tiny warm, fuzzy balls were tickling you from the inside out. After about a minute, you shyly lifted your face from your hands, finding his ruby eyes to be staring at you with a lovestruck gaze and a stupid grin to be plastered on his face. Your face slowly dissolved into a matching stupid grin. "I like you." You breathed, your brain not fully functioning yet. "I like you too." Akashi replied, pulling you close. You fluttered your eyelashes instinctively, a womanly instinct taking over your actions as you beheld your newfound partner. "The shoes." Akashi remembered, slowly let you go as you turnt to the changing room with a sheepish smile, the new pair of shoes laying forgotten on the floor. You sat down on the chair, putting the panda plushy lovingly next to you. You wanted to reach out to grab the shoes, only to see Akashi kneel before you. "You can't be serious!," you giggled at the action, in disbelief. "What? I'm here to cheer my girlfriend up and turn this into an actual first date. Is there anything wrong with that?" Akashi questioned, and you shook your head with a loving smile. You watched as he slowly removed your shoes, his fingers sliding over your ankles in a way that made you bite your lip. He slowly pulled the new shoes over your feet, being gentle with you. You stood up as he finished tying your shoelaces, and you hesitantly took a few steps. "They fit perfectly!" you chirped. "That's good. Shall we pay them? I'd like to take you to a more romantic place now, and get this date officially started." You chuckled. "I'd like that."
And thus, the two of you currently sat at a fancy terrace, having a cup of tea as you planned over what the two of you would do during your date. Akashi had made up a nice plan, but he did wanted to know if you liked his ideas or if you had a different one in mind. "So, I was thinking of taking you to the arcade. My father usually won't let me go to such places, so I'd like my first time to be with you. Going there I mean." he quickly added in a rush, not wanting you to get the wrong idea. "And perhaps I could take you to dinner before I drop you off at your mom's? There's this restuarant that has a table reserved for my father if he ever wants to dine there on a whim. It's his favourite. We could book his table for the night." Akashi suggested, and you blinked at him dumbfounded. 'Dine on a whim? Seriously, rich people are crazy!' You chuckled, though you were extremely touched Akashi wanted his first time to the arcade to be with you. So you smiled, and nodded. "I'd love that." Akashi was over the moon.
