Yall take about the emo to folk punk pipeline but never talk about the emo to disrocker pipeline. We have the same haircuts and substance abuse issues as emos, just we wear cooler clothes and have better taste in music

For the next wave of goth fashion i propose we ditch the minimalist techno-inspired look and take inspiration from disrockers

Yo. I'm not in the know so maybe u can help. I keep seeing Disclose but with the same lettering Discharge used. Are they related or is Disclose a newer band just tipping the hat? Thx
Yo! Okay, so Disclose came after Discharge did. Discharge started a sound that would eventually be called dbeat (Discharge beat) because of a distinct drum pattern they used. This was back in 1980 with their Realities of War EP, they had some earlier releases which were more Sex Pistols styled, but they switched to hardcore punk with Realities of War which is also where they first "dbeated" for lack of a better word haha Dbeat as a drum pattern made its way into metal as well, a lot of thrash and even death metal and black metal use dbeats in their music. Dbeat ultimately made a bigger impact in punk though along with a lot of riffs and general tone and distortion creating a whole subgenre and jnspiring a ton of bands like Anti Cimex, Avskum, Doom, Disfear, and many many more. Disclose came about in 1990 and took the sound of Discharge and pushed it way further into what got called Rawpunk. Way more distortion, way noisier, even faster playing, but still keeping the same dbeat sound. Also, the "Dis" of Diclose comes from the "Dis" of Discharge. You'll find a lot of "Dis" bands, all paying homage to Discharge. Also where the label disrocker came from. Anyways, there is my short rant about the bands! Hope it helped

So if nothing else good has come out of this whole quarantine thing, at least I've gotten the opportunity to work on my jacket. I just got done with the side panels on the back and can say that it's done on that side. After a few more bits on the front I'll be mainly working on the sleeves, which once are done I can call this jacket good. I might even fit it with a liner. Anyone else working on any diy stuff or otherwise? Whatever it is, whether it be a craft, a painting, a concept album I'm very bored and will probably get around to seeing it in no time. Stay safe!
