The Opera Populaire was buzzing. It was opening night and the crowd was growing impatient.

Christine Daae was to make her debut as the new PrimaDonna of the Opera. A high respected place and very demanding. She paced in her dressing room, trying her best not to cry out. Her dress was awful tight and wouldn't close. She grunted in effort, pulling as hard as she could but the awkward position prohibited her.

"Here." A deep, angelic voice said from behind her. "Let me.."

She spun around and saw a dark phantom stepping quietly toward her.

"Hush, angel." He touched her lips with a gloved finger. "Those ridiculous designers don't know what real costumes are."

She never spoke and turned around to let this mysterious man help her. He pulled the strings snug but not tight yet she still was stunning.

"T-Thank you, monsier." She whispered. "Who are you??"

"I am you Angel of Music."

Late night ramblings

Saw a single post related to the phantom of the opera the other day and now i'm back on my shit again with it. I'm honestly surprised they haven't remade the movie again. 2004's ver. with Gerard Butler will still always be my favorite.

Watched the movie again today.

Honestly surprised there hasn't been a phantom!Bucky x Christine!Reader -esque fic yet. Unless there is and I just haven't found it lol.

It was always one of those movies that my monsterlover side really enjoyed because it kinda made him out like he was an immortal or something? Sure, obsessive and murderous behavior aside, I still woulda' chose him. Scars/deformities be damned.

Read a few good fics related to ErikxChristine on Ao3 that were pretty good. Hoping to find a few more that don't have 5 other pairings going on with them. Just gimmie that good good and let it be that lol.

But yeah that's been my week. hope y'all have been doing well. :)

It also makes me sad, as someone who prefers Raoul to Erik, that there's all these people harassing ErikXChristine fans. Anti stuff just boils down to dumb old ship wars, and maybe I've been in fandoms too long but I am so bored of ship wars.

You’re so right. Like to be clear, there are a handful of E/C fans who are part of the problem, such as the person I highlighted earlier. And it’s honestly so embarrassing as an E/C shipper myself to see antis who ship E/C justify why other antis shouldn’t harass them over their ship and then…turn around and harass others over their ships or headcanons. But still, the majority of the problem remains people who don’t think others should ship Erik and Christine.

Angel Voice

The Phantom peered through the mirror and watched Azalea twirl around in her room. He heard his grandfather speak of how all the ‘Christine’s’ look like pure angels ascended from heaven. The Phantom never really believed this until now. Azalea twirling in her nightgown, her crazy curly hair whipping around and Azalea’s bare feet barely making any noise. He smiled, his mask becoming uncomfortable with the movement of his cheeks. He rarely smiles in this mask. Rarely smiles at all, in fact. But the thing that made him fall a bit more is when she opened her mouth and started singing a cadenza. She sang no words, uttered nothing. She just sang. Her heart bled into every single note of the song and the Phantom memorized each and every note that she sang. He wanted to reflect on it and even make something beautiful with it.

It felt like an eternity until the Phantom turned around and started to walk away when he finally heard his angel’s voice. “I walk alone and wander to the end , looking for my friend. Look, I see him here. He, who my heart holds so dear. Say will you dance with me, as you did before?”

He didn’t have a chance except to think that she sung to him.
