Do Penn and Dency have like more a of sisterly than a cousin one since they’re so close in age (and they kinda grew up together since they only a few months apart). And like on a slightly different topic, what does Penn think of Dove? Did Penn and Dency share friends in Magic school or did they run in opposite circles?

tl;dr yeah they’re more sisterly & penn and dove don’t really like each other that much, & penn and dency definitely ran in different circles, especially as they got older. there’s like. a full on deep dive under the cut. i highly recommend u read if u wanna know why penn’s Like That & her complex relationship with both dency & dove, but um. it’s 3.7k words. but u should read it♥

i would definitely say they’re more sisters than they are cousins because like. i don’t know how close y’all are with your cousins. but like. cousinship is really not what i’d call a solid unbreakable fraternal bond you know? like penn and dency are like. 2.5 months apart so They Are The Same Age (even tho dency’s born in 02 & penn’s born in 03) and also because while in dency’s early years there is a phoebe/coop thread running, it still takes a while for those two to enter a committed relationship and move out so for the first. three? or so years of their lives, dency and penn literally shared a bedroom in the manor like they were raised kinda like twins just from a proximity standpoint. and then, of course, since they’re the same age and all, they hit milestones at the same time & are always in the same school year (which i feel like both these girls went to private schools which are like. always catholic schools idk if this is universal but like. i feel like in sf almost every single private school is tied to a church but maybe i just don’t know that many people who went to private school. and yes this is because i just really really want dency to go to a catholic school her being the antichrist so to speak all that i want her to be genuinely afraid that if she touches holy water she’ll burn it’s fun (it doesn’t burn her, for the record. she like. tried when she was 9/10 and it’s like one of those things like you know how you can lick your fingers and pinch out a candle flame so as a kid you wanna try it and you have saliva all over your fingers and you keep going in a chickening out because that’s fire!! that’s a flame!! what the fuck!!! so its a back and forth until you just gotta do it yeah that she ends up like plunging her full hand in when the plan was kinda only dip a finger but good news! she’s fine she does not burn with holy water.) maybe they go to public high school but like. private elementary and/or middle school. because high school who cares but going to a catholic middle school will leave the funniest long term effects on people).

and then, of course, magic school. they both go to magic school. which as i’ve stated before i think there are many magic schools this magic school is tethered to san francisco and i think really any west coast witches will attend that school but there aren’t That Many so class sizes are still like. 30 kids. and then, of course, as this is Charm School (as so it is dubbed as it is the school run by the charmed ones) they do kinda host their fair share of magical events which is mainly like the elders being like okay can we all get together let’s host a yule celebration here which they do in this world but not in the canon!gen2 due to one major defining factor: penn. because like. she’s the twice blessed man. magic literally shut down just like globally for a full day when she was born (dency actually retained a limited amount of magic as you know she has a bit of source. it’s a magic source. but like. very little it was insanely dampened). but you know globally no one really knew this was coming all of magic was left standing there with their dick in their hands until it turned back on and now there’s only one question: what the fuck was that? and the answer was a baby literally so powerful was born that all magic rested for a day to welcome this child. the twice blessed has arrived. And That’s A Big Fucking Deal! and again: the elders don’t really like the charmed ones all that much bit of a two way street here because the charmed ones don’t like them so they would love to take away this ability maybe save it for a rainy day with a family they don’t already have a dicey history with but um. source’s heir is right there. so we’re gonna keep the twice blessed in tact. but yeah basically the elders have kind of these magical holidays at magic school and penn has to be in attendance just because she’s kinda the representation of the best of good magic. she’s an idol everyone can kinda get behind you know rejuvenate the spirit of good magic unite the witches behind one figurehead.

which, for the record, piper and leo are Not Really Game for because what the fuck so it’s like. at first when the elders are like. let’s host a litha celebration here invite magical families around the world extend olive branches so to speak you know it also tells the underworld that good magic is strong on united really keeps them at bay (because they really have yet to recover from s7/s8 there’s still not centralized ruler demon/monster attacks have been way down and quite frankly the sisters wanna keep it that way. they love a world where their lives aren’t constantly at risk). so initially they’re like yeah sure they bring their kids because what are they gonna hire a babysitter the kids can be there and like. everyone fawns over penn. and penn initially loves it because like you’re 7 who doesn’t love being special being the center of attention. but piper & leo are like 😐 because they’re starting to see the game the elders are playing but you know. in the early years penn really likes going to these. i should state penn’s full name is actually melinda penelope halliwell and when she was young she did go by melinda but she really didn’t like how much she was compared to melinda warren esp with all the twice-blessed stuff (she also has leo’s hair color (i.e. blonde) so she does look a lot like her ancestor) so around 13 14 or so she starts going by penelope which people shorten to penny which is just another ancestor to be compared to so she shortens that to penn. so yeah through the elementary school era i think penn really likes attending these functions she likes being liked and piper and leo are like no really you don’t have to go in fact we’d prefer it if you’d stayed home but she’s like 9 she doesn’t get the minutia of it and she’ll like cry if she can’t go to the fun party. by the time she hits middle school tho she’s like no this shit is draining lmao can all these adults back off. but then like. by the time she hits high school she’s kinda caught on and if it’s her being a charming, polite, dazzling little twice blessed that keeps good magic solid and the underworld at bay, she can play that role. she will play that role. but now there’s a sense of duty to it.

so. i’m still talking. i think it magic school penn was really popular because she was like a household name you know, that and like she’s really got her father’s kind heart and can play mediator like her mother so she kinda can do the saintlike role given to her (which again is something she starts at a young age not realizing what all this is before and it grows into the core of who she is & now it’s inseparable. it’s kinda like the male gaze. but the elder gaze. even pretending you aren't catering to elder fantasies is an elder fantasy: pretending you're unseen, pretending you have a life of your own, that you can wash your feet and comb your hair unconscious of the ever-present watcher peering through the keyhole, peering through the keyhole in your own head, if nowhere else. you are a witch with an elder inside watching a witch. you are your own voyeur. lmao. haha but yeah penn has a really big circle but while people fawn over penn they are inherently distrustful of dency because again these are kids and they get their opinions from their parents. and some parents really don’t want the source of all evil going to school and learning alongside their kids. and this is kinda penn’s crucial flaw is she was kinda always taught to be so temperate that when people are mean to dency, she doesn’t like. go to bat for dency. she mediates. she’ll mediate in a situation where someone is clearly in the wrong but is like. let’s reach a peaceful agreement let’s try to see both sides because you know her parents especially leo raised her with this peace love & understanding mentality and she’s so young she doesn’t get the nuance of situations.

so, rather than kinda sit and field catty comments from other witches in penn’s social circle & watch penn try to turn this into some kind of socratic seminar on how we’re all different and we should all try to understand each other dency kinda just voluntarily breaks from penn’s circle. it’s not too difficult as not that many people really wanted her anyway and also she’s not always in the same classes as them as she needs lots of private tutoring to kind of. you know. hone her demon powers, which function differently.

and then this is where we bring in dove who is a witch with no active powers and two mortal parents, so she doesn’t actually realize it’s weird not to have active powers until she reaches magic school (after being enrolled by paige, who has basically assorted sidequests going at all time where she like. finds witches who don’t have the resources to learn the craft proper and rather than let them just risk it she enrolls them in her school. she does this in canon!gen2 as well that’s kinda like her whitelighter job as i don’t think she has too too many Charges in a traditional whitelighter sense). and then a bit of history on dove her parents are fucking loaded. the type of rich you eat, not just upper middle class. and her dad does fuck knows what tech shit in the silicon valley and her mom’s basically just a socialite. so dove, like penn, from a very young age learns the art of being the little doll at the party. we’re sitting this baby down at the grand piano and you’re all gonna coo and aww as she knocks out für elise okay? but the primary difference between penn & dove is dove was being coached. dove knew from a very young age what she was doing. penn was just what the john mulaney quote shiny and dumb and easy to trick? yeah. piper and leo didn’t want her there they didn’t want her exposed to like the notion of white magic politics, dove’s mother on the other hand basically trained her in the art of the social kill.

So. dove as a kid gets to magic school and kinda quickly realizes she’s not like the other kids. and yes, there are some late bloomers, but like. she’s really not like the other kids i mean she’s a witch with no lineage and no active powers and everyone else seems to have family friends and people they already know and she’s alone. so. ever the social strategist, she aligns herself with penn. and dove joined about late elementary school early middle school so she got contact with dency before she broke, but she knows her mostly by reputation because dove loves gossip and there’s a lot to be whispered about dency. unfortunately, there’s also a lot to be whispered about her. and it’s usually like. if you’re a late bloomer and you don’t have an active power, by the time you hit puberty one develops (there’s also like. the other marker is when the brain stops developing around age 25 sometimes power develop then and dove’s currently like 24 so she’s lowkey still holding out for that one). but dove kinda goes through puberty and doesn’t get an active power and now kids are calling her dud and this is where penn’s middle road logic fails her again because she just. she’ll be kind to dove and be like that’s really mean and they shouldn’t have said that, but she’ll also speak kindly to the bullies and be like hey that’s not nice don’t say that. and dove is not a temperate person so when she’s attacked she goes for the jugular. and penn pulls out again this peace love & understanding card like i understand you’re upset but you shouldn’t stoop to their level you should try to always be understanding because you don’t know what they’re going through and it pisses dove off because penn literally has no backbone. like she’s never really seen penn stand for anything and quite frankly she’s a little pissed about it because she specifically befriended penn for like protection for a place in the magical community and penn just like. does not offer that because she’s just do spineless.

so i think dove kinda just slowly distances herself from penn and penn doesn’t really do anything to keep friends so to speak because as the twice blessed kids kind of just flock to her she’s definitely got a really weird dynamic just with others as a whole so it’s like when dove stops invited penn over for playdates it’s not like penn’s gonna Start inviting dove over for playdates because that’s simply not how penn’s mind works. also almost all her playdates from like a really young age were really weird because it was just witches being like oh my god let’s set up a cute little playdate for our kids i’ll bring them over at 1 and piper and leo were game because you know yay socialization for my daughter, but you know it quickly became obvious that it wasn’t for the kids. like it was for these parents who get to be in the halliwell manor talking to a charmed one, the twice blessed is right there, & it was kind of sickening. so yeah. that happened one too many times. but like the further dove drifted from penn kind of the less she held her tongue because you know penn’s so kind and temperate that she really doesn’t like hearing insults quick jabs you know like obviously. but dove’s great at it. and yeah, there are kids dove just doesn’t like because they’re dicks to her. so when they go after dency, dove’s immediately ready to tear them to bits. it’s kind of like sticking up for the little man, but it’s more just like attacking the bully bc now you have a reason to. but what surprises dove is dency also has some bite to her words, dency also fights back. which dove again ever the social strategist thinks dency shouldn’t to that because she already has the title of the source’s heir hanging over her it’s not wise to pour fuel on that fire but at the same time she’s glad dency just like. does fight back. is a dick about it. she loves that she’s someone who doesn’t play the social game, someone who’s true to herself and isn’t going to water herself down in order to be liked by other people. you know dency’s got backbone she’s got chutzpah and dove loves to see it after everyone in magic school who are all just like. 11 year old sycophants finally someone who’s real. so i think dove and dency kind of become besties as they willingly mark themselves as the social outcasts who just. do what they want to do. it’s like dency’s basically a demon and dove’s basically mortal and together they’re just having like. a great fucking time. i think they really like each other. it’s also dove’s first friendship that literally has no exterior advantage if anything it brings down her stock but she doesn’t care because dency’s just like cool man.

and then nowadays they’re all like 24 and dency and dove live together dency works as a freelance journalist (even though elise is constantly offering her a permanent position at the bay mirror, dency doesn’t accept it because she “doesn’t want a nepotism job” to which elise is like dency i wouldn’t offer you the job if i didn’t think you were any good my own niece has been trying to get an internship here for two years but she writes absolute drivel okay i don’t want you here because you’re my goddaughter i want you here because you’re an excellent writer. but dency still always turns her down because she doesn’t like the optics. she still spends a lot of time a the bay mirror just because i really love the visual of punk rock antichrist rolling up to the bay mirror and immediately getting the biggest hug from elise when most employees have yet to even see elise smile) & then dove on the other hand 100% has a nepotism job she like does pr for her dad’s company. penn i think works in piper’s kitchen as a line cook where she literally like addresses her mom like yes chef all that like people don’t know she’s the owner’s daughter hell they barely know her name and she kinda loves it like that.

and dency and penn definitely have this kind of testy relationship because dency never leaves well enough alone. i mean that’s literally her job right as a journalist, but it carries over into magic too & penn hates it because someday dency’s gonna get herself killed. but the fact of the matter is their fighting styles are not compatible. penn and dency are not good side by side in a fight & dency would much rather work alone. but, if penn knows anything, she’s gonna be there. she refuses to let dency go in alone because if dency dies and there was something she could have done about it she’d never forgive herself. this is why dency doesn’t go to penn for healing anymore because again they can’t lie to each other given their lie detector power, so rather than get penn involved dency goes to her friend jack who is both a mortal & and nurse & went to like the same private elementary school as dency, tho i think he was in on a lottery. And. Of Course. there is a vice versa going on here because dency does not tell penn things because like. if penn dies because she was following dency into some dangerous battle she’d never forgive herself. because, quite honestly, dency knows she’s powerful. she has a skill set that practically no one has the ability to counter. but also. she’s the source’s heir. penn’s the twice blessed. the world needs penn a lot more than it needs her, you know? dency does kind of view herself as more expendable than penn, you know again penn is the embodiment of all good magic and the story’s definitely been spun that penn and the elders kind of unifying good magic, creating a strong bond keeps the underworld at bay. penn’s death would be a devastating blow. and on top of that, penn’s really not a fighter. dency is, she’s great at it. and you know, if penn was always running headfirst into battles like dency, it really would be a mirror relationship but penn really does not practice magic outside of magic school. so that’s not a concern. but yeah. given this fact that penn is really more important symbol-wise & the fact they do not fight well together & the fact penn’s just not great at fighting & she does not remotely know the demonic world like dency does, dency really does try to keep her cousin in the dark as much as possible.

dove and penn kind of in the present have a bit of a rivalry going at least penn considers it a rivalry because penn genuinely considers them equals, dove on the other hand does not because penn is the twice blessed and dove is a witch without powers but yeah. no one really can argue the way they argue because it really doesn’t sound like an argument it’s like. written down it can seem like a perfectly friendly conversation but there is kind of this intense vein of malice running through most of their interactions. which, while we’re kind of positioned to side with dove because she’s more of a main character than penn is, she’s besties with our protagonist, also i love her, dove is definitely the instigator. and it’s not like penn’s deserving of any of dove’s harassment but dove is just still really bitter about how penn was supposed to be her shelter as a young girl but penn never stands up for anything leaving dove really vulnerable as a kid. which she has not ever voiced to penn, penn just thinks dove’s a bitch (which she is, but like,) but at the same time penn almost always seeks dove out or even invites her (not directly, but rather by extension by insisting dency has to come no no you have to come listen you can bring a friend okay but you have to be there. because dency will only ever bring dove.) to these magical functions because a) dove’s kind of already so low on the food chain that she’s really fine with making snide comments to the faces of these really pretentious parents who are only in it for power and optics. like penn always has to pretend not to smile when dove makes the comments she always wished she could say just like. to an elder’s face. and then on top of that, dove’s about the only person who doesn’t view penn as sacred, and by extension, now that they’re older, dove is about the only person penn doesn’t have to act sacred around (outside of her own family, obvi). like. penn has piper’s bitchiness. she just never gets to say what’s on her mind because she’s too busy being The Twice Blessed. unless she’s around dency & dove & co, where nobody cares who she is, and she can be kind of the dick she is. she’s not as temperate as she seems.

#penn actually has not been invited to a dency christmas party yet #mainly because they usually fall around the same time as the yule celebration at magic school #and also because she kinda hasn't been invited #bot maliciously it's just dency doesn't think penn wants to hang out with her and her friends #and like. the halliwells all do christmas together at the manor so they see each other then of course #not like they avoid each other all holiday season #it;s just like. if penn wanted to score an invite #she'd have to kind of swallow her pride and be like please i think your friends are cooler than mine #can i come to your party #to which dency would say yes #but there's no way penn the twice blessed will ever say that you know?#yeah penn x dency x dove is kind of my favorite trio to write for #because when it comes down to it they'd all honestly die for each other #but there's just a lot of animosity there #charmed #next gen #charmed next generation #dency halliwell #penn halliwell #dove clifton-hartfield #💌#margaretsminiessays #actually i do have like a complete dency chapter ready to publish #that's been done more months now #i'm just sitting on it because i like to backwrite like i want the next Next chapter done before i post it #just because i don't really plan ahead that much in my stories #so i wanna make sure i can execute on the things i set up before i commit to em

what are our favorite aaa couples doing this valentines day?

i actually discussed how each of them feel about V-Day once before so i have the necessary lore in my head to answer this hehe, so i’ll just give the general rundown!

as you can imagine, valentine’s day is one of dylan’s fave days of the year period end of the story. it might be his favorite holiday. not even bc he has a boyfriend who is the love of his life but more so because he just... is love in such a compact form and so he thrives on a day that’s just about appreciating All the people in your life and celebrating the concept of love. like he FLOURISHED in elementary school giving out valentines to all his classmates in their little desk mailboxes and i think he carries that instinct with him even now. he makes all his friends handmade small cards and a little baked goods care package (so all the techies get one, riley gets one, his brother and dad get one), he Always does a vlog video to post on valentines thats like about love or related to preparing for the holiday etc etc. he just... loves it. its his day.

(he’s also the only person who can get lucas to acknowledge the day. lucas is like fuck vday its fake i dont know what that is and then dylan swoops in with his valentine and is like here lucas!!! i love you happy valentines day!!!!!!! and lucas is like........ okay fine i will accept this but thats IT otherwise its fake *takes bite of cookie*)

as for asher and dylan specifically, i feel like valentines day isn’t necessarily... here’s the thing like they’re appreciative and kind and thoughtful towards each other all the time so in that respect vday is just another day lol but i feel like they do make an effort to mark it in some way, but lowkey ways? like they definitely always go on a date of some kind, not super fancy but they make a point of doing it on that day, and i also think they exchange small gifts that are particular to their relationship on that day. like for example one time i saw this post talking about how a gf made her bf a scrapbook of all the things he had baked for her and like wrote little notes about what she thought about them + something she loved about their relationship on each page with each baked good and thats the kind of thing asher would give dylan one valentines day. you know what i mean? that’s the kind of thing they do

on the flip side, riley and lucas don’t celebrate valentines day. they’re of the thinking that having a day specifically to acknowledge your partner is kind of stupid since you should be doing that every day, and both of them are very lowkey people in terms of stuff like that i don’t think they like... want or need to do anything. and as we know they both have such weird relationships with romance in general bc of watching their parents implode in different ways, so i think they both are somewhat averse to traditional “love” things? i mean lucas is the dude who doesnt even want people to acknowledge his birthday, holidays just are not his thing. time is fake. but i think if they do acknowledge it at all its just in something really small and simple, like a quick “happy valentines day” after a kiss before they part ways for the day. maybe lucas gets her her favorite pastry again, maybe she makes him lunch. you know? nothing intense

for zc, i think charlie has a really complicated relationship with the day because of how he was raised. like on the one hand, vday should be charlie’s day, because i think charlie is the most hopeless romantic of the front nine. but i think they talked about it in such a different context at catholic school where its like yes this is about christian love (which is nice!) but this love can only be valid and christian in the context of one man and one woman and after a certain time / commitment etc etc (i read a couple of websites to see what the general catholic perspective on it is lmao) so i think charlie is just... all turned upside down and around internally about what its actually supposed to mean / where he fits in that and it just. is a mess. so pre-zay i think he just spent the whole day avoiding girls who were praying he’d give them a valentine and then went to bed all torn up and then laid in the wistful meadow in his head until he fell asleep LMAO but. as for how they approach it as a duo, i think they’re somewhere between rl and da... some years its like lets do something, lets go out, and other years its just not the vibe and they choose to just brush it off and be lowkey. but i think even tho he knows charlie is so conflicted about it, zay will find SOME way to appreciate charlie on that day in the sense that he knows he’s such a romantic and deserves a day like that so he’ll... order in their favorite meal, or theyll go on a picnic (like their first date) or something like that. you know what i mean? like zay personally doesnt care that much bc he’s less of a romantic intrinsically but he tries to read the mood of how charlie feels that year and then match it

farkle and isa...... who the fuck knows with them honestly LMAO i dont think either of them even know how they feel about it. they don’t know how they feel about anything when it comes to romance... messes. i think jade and nigel are similar to rl, for them neither of them are especially romantics so they’re chill just saying hvd and exchanging a little card or gift or something and letting that be that. jack and eric are both long past the days of making vday a big deal, but i could see them leaving small / somewhat silly or sarcastic notes for each other that matches their humor

as for on THIS valentines day? in 2021? today? rl is probably hanging out at the hideaway in riley’s car sharing the baked goods dylan made them but not acknowledging it’s vday; dylan and asher are probably getting ready to have dinner together that dylan is making after chilling together all day; and zay and charlie are pretending its a normal sunday and no such holiday exists.

Everyone was probably saying that he ought to just move on, but to be honest, he couldn’t... Actually, to be honest, no-one had told him to move on to his face yet. In fact, everyone was surprised he was doing so well, given how bad the circumstances were! The situation was stressing him out so much, even his dads were gently advising him to rethink things. (Well, that was part of the territory with one of them being a therapist and the other being a barista.)

“I got y’all some kouign-amann from the cafe,” said Dad, putting it down on the counter. His shirt had SLEEP scrawled on it with a Sharpie; it was the one that Remus had made for him as a joke. He still wore it. Huh.

“Sweetie, what’s a queen amahn?” asked Papa.

“It’s a... er, it’s like a... this is kinda like a croissant that had dreams of a muffin tin and salted caramel. One for you, babe.... then one for Doodlebug-”

“Can I leave some for Roman?” asked Remus.

They exchanged a glance.

The phone started ringing. Remus answered it as quickly as he could.

“I’m so sorry Mr. Sanders I didn’t know that someone was actually getting these messages I thought the line was out,” he said within a few seconds before the person on the other side sighed.

“No, it’s quite all right. And Virgil’s all right, by the way, if you prefer. I... I was just looking through his things for the first time. You know, it being a holiday and all... Memories, things like that.”

“Yeah, I understand.”

“I just turned the phone back on, I’m getting a lot of messages.”

“Oh.” Remus stared at the wall, trying to come to terms with everything. “Well, I--”

“I’m not going to stop paying for his phone. I’m sorry, I just... I still have his voicemails on it, and I can’t stand the thought of it going offline either.”

“Right, I... I listen to it too.”

“I happened upon the last one he sent to you.”

“You looked at the messages?”

“I only looked over when I stopped getting new ones, but I saw the last question he sent you. For your ring size.”

“Yeah? He asked my ring size so that he could--”

“There’s no easy way to say this, but.. I found something of his. Can you come over?”

“I’m sorry, I can’t, but can you please tell me what it was? Please?”

“I really think I should tell you this in person.”

“Please, Mr. Sanders. Please, I... I can’t manage that.”

He sighed. “All right, Remus. I found an early acceptance letter to SJAU, and... and a ringbox.”

Remus felt his grasp on the phone grow weak. It fell onto the bed, Mr. Sanders’ voice still clear.

“I think he was going to ask for you to....”

“No, we... We were just out of high school, I-- that doesn’t make sense.”

“He always was one for those romantic gestures. There’s some poems here, too. A life-plan. I’m not sure exactly what malacology is, but--”

“Mollusks. Like octopi and squids.. Sorry for cutting you off, what was that?”

“Some of it’s in your handwriting, but one of the entries is ‘ask him’, for the day after... you know.”

God, he could hear his sad smile through the phone. He knew exactly how Mr. Sanders looked right now just talking to him, probably wearing that hoodie that was too big on him, in a dusty room full of things that used to belong to the most vibrant person that Remus had ever met.

But then Roman had died.

He was the most wonderful person, and he had just died.

“I’ll come over to deliver the ring to you. Is that okay?”

“Yeah. Yeah, that’s... that’s fine. Uh, call my dads first, though. They’re still not convinced I’m doing okay.”

“I understand. I’ll talk to you later, Remus.”

“Thank you, Mr. Sanders.”

The line went dead in his hands.

Remus held himself and wept.

Hey hey!! I'm feeling great, I've had a headache since the pillow said "fuck you" and somehow got messed up, but I took a pill and had a drink, and ow I'm better:D Thank youu!! I'm not sure I will, since my mom is going to a relative's birthday and im gonna stay at home alone, so might as well just make myself grilled cheese while watching Netflix. But, if i were at school right now, we'd definitely have a festival (or as close as we can get to a festival, considering the school's budget) or something similar to that, hehe. The school really made a huge deal out of holidays. I really miss it sometimes, cuz it never feels like a holiday at home, even during new years:/

Ohh, I meant like, creating original characters and shoving them all into the HQ universe and making it a team. Lemme show you the least of the team members xD

We're still working on the staff and the leftover characters' designs. I made school and volleyball uniform, but they dont look great so I'll probably work on them more!!! Me, Kuro & Liza (the friend) are making it, with Kuro being the main artist and Liza creating the characters. I'm responsible for the stuff. It's pretty fun. Hahah, sorry for rambling like that, it's like a personal passion project, and it's the only productive thing I can do while having fun, so I'm very happy about it~

I really love noodles♡ anything related to noodles is my favorite. If only you'd see me freaking out when I see spaghetti on our school menu XD I wish we got to make noodle soup more often. I love it so much😭

I only prefer rice when it's really spicy. I love spicy stuff a lot, and plain rice/rice soup feels really weird and my picky ass doesnt like it. I also love Pilaf (we call it plov here), it's not always spicy but it still tastes good😝

Oh, I think you should try it! It's really good, kind of plain but still nice. I'm really picky about my tea and I havent drunk any good tea in ages, but I remember a really nice cafe that served PERFECT green tea. I miss it😩 It was when I went on a school event, we got to roam around the city (with the teachers of course, because most have no idea where they are haha), and I visited that cafe, and I absolutely loved everything about it.

OH YEAH, but pizzas are really thin and get eaten fast, while quiches and pies are more fulfilling XD that's just me probs but still~

Ahhh, my parrot's name was Molly! Though only after her death I realised that it was indeed a "he", which was awkward. But the shopkeeper said it's a girl, and we were uneducated, so it's not our fault XD it was the cutest, tbh. It loved running after my pens when we played on the table. Sadly, my disgrace of a father kept reopening the front door in winter and overfeeding it when I wasn't home, so the parrot passed away:( one more reason to hate the old man, haha~ dont worry, I'm over it :D

Izuku loves analysis and while he doesn't do it for heroes anymore when he misses it too much sometimes he does it with tv shows or other things.

Idk what yet but Izuku is weirdly good at something and only showed it on camera once. (He's casually known to be a good artist) Whatever he's good at he did it once for a video and it's in one of the most popular compilation videos of him. 15 minutes of Izuku being a cinnamon roll.

Izuku has a shit ton of videos featuring the UA kids. He has some playlists dedicated to certain ones even if all you see is the back of their head.

Any proceeds Izuku manages to get (he is popular but he gets demonetized a lot) goes to different charities for the quirkless.

He made only 1 serious cooking video on his birthday, but instead of using a knife he used an axe.

NAME A RANDOM ROLEPLAY THAT STICKS OUT IN YOUR MEMORY — me n my friend ellie made this really cool group the summer before we left for uni which was loosely based on a concept mentioned mayb once in the divergent series, but it gave us loads of freedom to make it our own thing. it was called the fringe n it was like..... this dystopian society where people with different genes were cut off from the rest of society n lived in overrun slum cities where different groups had like, a monopoly over weapons, produce, etc.... my character jack was the leader of this lost-boy-esque tribe called the wolf pack who were hunters n used to run across the rooftops wearing the skins of animals they’d killed and engage in tribal rituals with sacrifices to the gods n shit. sounds lame but everyone there was so invested in their character arcs that it was a shame to see it go. but ! it kind of reached its end point so we blew it up w nukes n they all died. tragic.

The holiday season

I love the holidays, personally I celebrate Christmas (not religious tho) and it makes me so happy. I feel like it’s more normal to act like a kid, to cozy up, to watch kids movies, and to do all the things I do as an age regressor all the time. Plus I get presents (о＾∀＾о) and I can even ask for lowkey kiddish stuff, like this year I asked for a Gloomy bear plushy and some glow in the dark stars and Sanrio + Moomin stuff too! And I’m just so happy. Today I put up lights and decorations all around my house (by myself like a big strong prince) and I watched one a couple Christmas movies (nightmare before Christmas and Holiday Winnie the Pooh movie)with the lights on and our Christmas tree I picked out all by myself earlier this morning and it was all decorated and I was so happy with my milky tea and my fireplace and my movie and my Santa hat!!! I am just so happy I feel so small and soft and cozy all the time and- get this- so does like everyone else so it’s totally normal and no one even bats an eye cause it’s jolly and cold out so who the smacks cares if I’m weird?! I am very excited. I’m even throwing a Christmas party this year and my town had its tree lighting this Friday as well with fake snow and free hot chocolate and the antique shop all decorated!!

I hope no matter what holiday(s) you celebrate, if any, they’re great for you!!

ok so since its a self insert, when i talk about the main character i wont write y/n cause i don't wanna I'm gonna write peter. when i talk about my book to people i usually just call him peter. the other guy is jack anyway here it comes

How did they first meet? they met when they were both in elementary school. they met on the first day of kindergarten and since then they’ve been inseparable ( yes this is a childhood friends to lover story don't ask I'm soft)

What was their first impression of each other? at first jack was a bit intimidated by peter because he was really loud when he played and jack was more shy but when peter saw jack he immediately wanted to become his friend because jack is very friend shaped

Did any of their friends or family want them to get together? jack’s family doesn't even know they're together but if they were, they wouldn't be supportive but they wouldn't be against it either. peter’s family was totally chill with it, as long as he’s happy they don't mind

Who felt romantic feelings first? jack even tho he’d never admit it

Did either of them try to resist their feelings? absolutely peter was in another relationship when he realized he liked jack and jack thought he was straight so him having feelings for a guy just didn't make sense to him

If you had told one of them that the other would be their soulmate, what would they think? peter would take his flirting game up by a 1000% around jack while jack would disagree with it but be secretly very pleased

What would their lives be like if they had never met? jack would have been a neurosurgeon cause at the beginning of the story he was like a month or two away from getting his diploma and peter would have led a pretty average, boring life

Who initiated the relationship, and how did it go? it was at the least romantic place ever; a laundromat. they were washing their clothes and they were both covered in dirt from some graverobbing and jack was like “hey, i think i love you” and they kissed and it was very sweet

Did they have an official first date? If so, what was it like? their first date wasn’t even when they were dating. one time, peter sneaked them in the cinema where he worked in the middle of the night and they watched a movie alone together

What was their first kiss like? it was right after jack confessed, still in the laundromat. it wasn't very long because they were both tired (it was like 2am) and then they hugged for a while and jack fell asleep in peter’s arms (🥺)

Were they each other’s first anything (kiss, relationship, etc.)? no they werent

What’s their height difference? Age difference? jack is older than peter by a couple of months but peter is taller than jack by a good two inch (the ideal height for forehead kisses ;)

What’s their relationship with each other’s families? hmm jack gets along fairly well with peter’s parents but jack’s parents don't really care for peter they just think like “oh its him, alright” and they go back do their things

What are their primary love languages? peter’s is cooking because no matter what everyone says, he’s still me at the core. jack’s is a mix of acts of service and physical affection

Who uses cheesy pick-up lines? peter does most of the time but sometimes jack tries his hand at it and it makes peter melt

How often do they cuddle/engage in PDA? they don't have a lot of time for it but if they could they’d be stuck together like 85% of the time

If they get married, who proposes? peter would. jack would have been planning to propose for a while too but he chickens out everytime (oh what if he says no? cant risk it)

What’s the wedding like? Who attends? its very romantic, kinda cliche, probably outdoors since they don't want it in a church. most of their family attend, aunts uncles and grandparents and a few friends on each side

How many kids do they have, if any? What are they like? they don't have biological kids but they adopted nora even tho shes like 15 (look don't be abusive to your kids or some weird gay couple will steal them away, i don't make the rules)

Do they have any pets? oh i bet they get a cat somewhere in the future

Who’s the stricter parent? jack but he has no authority so nora does whatever she wants anyway

Who worries the most? jack. he's an overthinker by nature

How do they celebrate holidays? for Halloween nora goes trick or treating and gives her candy to peter and jack cause she doesn't really like overly sweet things but she keeps chips and other salty treats. for Christmas they have a regular Christmas where they give each other gifts and they watch Christmas movies and have a huge meal for dinner. for valentines day... you know whats up 😏 and for st patricks day idk i guess they drink beer

adfjkafjas this got really long and isn’t even exactly what you asked for, i’m sorryimagine them like 17 or 18 years old but it doesn’t matter very muchi should try again with actual christmas content. also all of richie’s dumb gifts and the sweater, i found on pinterest.

-the losers are celebrating christmas eve at stan’s house-stan has convinced his parents to go out for dinner so he can have a small christmas get-together with his friends-bev, ben, and mike are going to show up an hour late to give the boyfriends some time to themselves-bill and eddie show up together, bill is carrying a bunch of presents and eddie is arguing that he could carry some of it-stan helps bill get it all to the table where stan’s presents for the losers already sit in perfectly wrapped paper-bill asks where stan’s hannukah decorations are-eddie frowns at bill like “hannukah’s over already”-bill feels kinda bad that he didn’t know that but stan doesn’t really care-“don’t worry about it, bill, its not a big deal”-“i just f-feel like a shitty b-b-boyfriend, i didn’t even nuh-know”-richie has the ugliest christmas sweater anyone has ever seen-i’m talking green and red patterned with a christmas unicorn throwing up candy-stan almost closes the door in richie’s face when he sees it-“what the hell are you wearing”-“its festive, stanley”-richie dumps a bunch of presents on the table and goes to kiss each of his boyfriends-bill laughs at the sweater and lets richie kiss him-eddie physically recoils at the sight of the sweater and won’t let richie near him-richie turns to stan but stan’s like “i’m not kissing you while you’re wearing that”-richie announces if they hate it so much, they’re welcome to take it off him ;)-stan, deadpan: “we don’t have enough time for that, rich”-richie thinks that’s funny and manages to steal a kiss from stan-then richie wants his presents! and starts pawing through the pile on the table-eddie argues they should wait for everyone else-stan thinks they should let richie do what he wants cause he’ll be annoying otherwise-richie makes a point of placing the gift from eddie back in the pile-eddie is actually kind of touched that richie compromised-but richie’s already ripping into stan’s present so eddie never says so-the losers have agreed on a 5 dollar limit per present cause there’s so many people to buy gifts for, so richie’s not really expecting anything spectacular-its a bunch of post-it notes on a binder ring-richie is puzzled until he starts flipping through them and finds they say things in stan’s neat handwriting like “good for one date at the arcade,” “good for one sleepover,” “good for one (ONE!!) visible hickey”-“couldn’t just do sex coupons, huh, stan?”-“don’t make me regret giving you that, rich”-bill takes the post-it notes to read through them when richie goes to kiss stan thanks-stan indulges him, then richie is straight back to the table to open his gift from bill-its a keychain of bucky the beaver-“oh, very funny, bill”-bill thinks it *is* funny and he accepts his thank you kiss from richie with grace-eddie figures richie might as well open his gift then-richie doesn’t give eddie a chance to change his mind and tears into the wrapping paper-its a framed photo of richie and eddie from prom, the one the photographer takes when couples come in; she was just shocked such handsome boys didn’t have dates to prom!)-“th-this is really sweet, eddie”-eddie is blushing when he gets his thank you kisses-richie pinches eddie’s cheek after-eddie slaps richie’s hand away-bill is kind of feeling bad about his presents now as he hands ‘em over to stan and eddie-“i d-didn’t know wh-what else to get with f-five b-bucks”-its more keychains-stan’s is a penguin wearing a little christmas scarf-eddie’s is a christmas-themed train-“th-they d-didn’t have m-much selection on th-those”-stan assures bill that its lovely and gives a thank you kiss-when eddie goes in for his thank you kiss, bill doesn’t lean down, which is annoying cause bill is the tallest of them and eddie is the shortest-but eddie just grabs bill’s shirt collar and yanks him down for the kiss-“seriously, bill, richie is rubbing off on you”-“s-sorry, i just w-wanted to see what you’d do”-everyone sets their gifts aside (they’ll show 'em off to the other losers later) and stan gets them to help him set up for their lil party-stan has spent most his day making bunches of christmas desserts and he rented shitty holiday movies from blockbuster-bill and eddie are pretty helpful getting the desserts set out-richie switches between stealing cookies and stealing kisses-bev, ben, and mike show up together-bev brought mistletoe and makes mike put it up in some of the doorways-this got too long to go into all the gifts but richie’s are all food puns, bill got everyone keychains, eddie has pictures for everyone, stan got the rest of the losers I.O.U.s to the movie theater, bev got each of her boys a cheap eyeshadow pallet and swore she’d do all their makeup, ben made them all friendship bracelets (of course everyone put them on immediately and made fun of him for being such a cute sap), and mike drew something special for each of them (bill is a better artist than mike but mike is pretty good; bill is super jealous that he didn’t think to draw for his losers)-they’re supposed to go home that night but all seven of them end up crashing in the uris’ living room-if stan’s parents think its weird how close stan sleeps with some of his friends, they don’t say anything-in the morning, eddie forgot about the mistletoe and gets stuck under it with ben-ben kisses eddie on the cheek-richie immediately bounds over to get under the mistletoe with eddie but eddie’s not gonna kiss richie before he brushes his teeth-richie settles for a kiss on the cheek-eddie has to get home asap because his mom was not happy when he called her the night before to say he wasn’t coming home, so he hugs richie and bill goodbye, and since stan is still sleeping, he very softly kisses stan on the forehead before he leaves-the rest of the losers spend their morning at the uris’ house-stan’s parents aren’t used to a bunch of kids celebrating christmas in their home but they put on breakfast and let them have their fun

Miscellaneous rambling Game Thoughts that I am Thinking about Game Today’s Think: Spice up the calendar stat raising gameplay a bit with ~festivals!~

LONG RAMBLE INCOMING

* Festivals that aren’t just markings on the calendar like in persona, but minigames like animal crossing and harvest moon! Also Oreshika but I only know one other person who plays that, lol. I really grew to like their tournements tho, even if its just a boring samey rpg battle repeated every damn year for centuries. It became oddly more useful in the postgame because everyone’s levels are so high and the amount of Devotion (job class selection points, basically) doesn’t increase as the enemies get buffed. So the twice yearly contests are the only reliable way to get a huge amount of devotion all at once, which is great if you’re grinding out new characters en masse and trying to get a rare inheritance trait! (srsly tho i have got TOTALLY sick of the ‘everyone lives and dies and then you play as their descendants’ thing by now, it just makes me feel extra guilty for grinding. I had to kill like 300 dads!) ...MAN I’M GOING OFFTOPIC LOL Anyway what I mean is that there’s a way bigger incentive to look forward to festivals/contests if the reward from them is something super useful that you can’t get anywhere else! Princess Maker 2 had a similar sort of thing, because money was really hard to make and the prize from a single tournement could fund like four months of combat classes! So whatever these rewards are gonna be, they should be like that and be a big boost that can help power-level your charries. Maybe even a x2 multiplier on experience for a particular stat, until january next year? or maybe this is how training gyms level up, instead of having exp? your fame rises in the tourney and you’re able to buy better equipment! Oh, and maybe the non-combat festivals could give a reward of a big relationship boost with certain characters? Gotta impress all the potential dates with your pie-baking skills! (pie may also contain dates)

* Also there totally needs to be a beauty pageant or fashion show or something. I know in real life there’s barely any of those for men, but this is a fantasy world so we can just say this town’s mayor is Damn Cool! And also it goes without saying that we’re gonna indulge the fantasy of having an unbiased set of judges that aren’t racist or homophobic or pedophiliac or anorexia obsessed or.. well, real life has a LOT of problems that games don’t have to emulate, lol. So yeah! This lil town in jrpgland has a big ol fancy fashion contest and it’s a fun event for everyone! Enjoy making mr grizzled warrior protagonist look cute as hell! * Basically this but What If It Wasn’t A Joke Seriously I hate seeing stuff like that on memes about being progressive, when it was clear within the context of the show that kids were meant to laugh at that male character wearing dresses. Man I was SO damn happy when Steven Universe subverted that trope and had an end of episode twist be Steven crossdressing and loving it and everyone is like ‘wow classic steven’ and cheering for him. Also they didn’t force the socially anxious girl to sing on stage! Generally a great episode for breaking tropes! So yeah more like Basically This But Basically This Man I forgot how much that ending makes me grin, holy shit! It probably doesn’t have the same factor out of context, but just it makes me so happy to have a flash forward and we see Sadie still singing the song, just offstage. So we get to know that even if this whole experience was ruined for her, she hasn’t given up on her dreams, and she’s way more confident with singing in front of other people even if she isn’t ready for singing with strangers. I love her and Steven’s friendship so much, seriously! its such a good big sister sort of thing, and this episode was great for showing steven stepping up to protect her but like.. not in any sort of cliche macho way. By winning back the crowd with a fab dress! * So yeah anyway Where Was I Before I Got Offtopic Lol It won’t be a crossdressing-only pageant or anything, but it’ll be a unisex fashion show and I’m not gonna include any form of homophobic nonsense from real world fashion industry. And I wanna give loads of options so the player can pick whatever they prefer, and I’m writing this character as the sort of dude who would love all of them! Dark antihero trenchcoats are cool but what about also PASTEL LOLITA TOP HATS * Maybe could have gameplay similar to the gen 4 version of Pokemon Contests? With the multiple judges! In those games the judges were all identical and it was just ‘don’t pick the same judge twice’, here it could be more like the three judges have different tastes and you have to coordinate your style and performance to get as many points as you can. Do you gamble it all on super-impressing one judge, or make an unconventional combo outfit that can bank medium level points with everyone? And like maybe the cooking contest could have the same sort of gameplay, cos that’s another festival where you could say the judges could have different tastes. Also maybe friend characters have a random chance of appearing as a judge! You wouldn’t get any bonus points tho, cos they’d get kicked off if they cheated on your behalf. But maybe you can get a relationship points boost if you appeal to them? So it could be like a temptation to risk losing the contest but unlock a new romance scene with your sweetheart. THE POWER OF PIE!

* Other various festivals I have really liked in various cute town time games: * Stardew Valley’s easter egg hunt! * Rune Factory’s weird snowball fight but with turnips instead! * Parents giving you money on new years was also a thing in rune factory, and I’m pretty sure that’s based on a real thing in some country? Was it china? Your culture rules, dudes! * Also its in a lot of games cos its celebrated in japan, but I wish we celebrated it here too! The two day valentines! Seriously I way prefer the idea of having one day where one half of the couple gives a gift and then a later day where the other person gives one back in return. And its less commercialized, they even still make homemade chocolates in that country! Damn i’d love to try doing that someday! (not necessarily for a valentines thing, just in general it seems fun) Maybe could have a fun fantasy variant where people give something different instead of chocolates? or if the conditions for the two different days were different? like instead of the girl valentine and the boy valentine its.. I dunno... a day celebrating some famous social class busting couple so its meant to be for rich people hitting on commoners and vice versa? A bit of a halloween aspect where you’re allowed to do stuff that’s normally frowned upon, free of judgment. (It was like that in puritan times when people were all ‘burn the witch!’ and all) Also I like that japanese valentines has ‘honmei and giri’- chocolates for actual crushes, but you can also give them to friends and family! More holidays need to be an excuse for friend gifts! (also those are really catchy names for such a thing)

* Speaking of which, maybe I could throw in some festivals from my home country? Mostly britain has similar holidays to america with a few missing, but there’s a few ones unique to the different regions which are pretty fun. I don’t know a lot about all of them but here’s some of the ones we have in my are, Wales! * Guy Fawkes’s Day. Official day for hella fireworks! Tho people also do them at christmas and halloween, and this holiday is right in the middle so DEAR GOD I’ve been dealing with my noisy neighbours constantly exploding stuff for three months. Give it a break, guys! The story behind this holiday is actually kinda interesting though, we set off fireworks to celebrate some villainous guy who tried to bomb a castle once and everyone tied him to a tree and set him on fire. There’s even a kids’s song about this weird morbid old thing! “remember remember the fifth of november, the gunpowder treason and plot, i see no reason the gunpowder treason should ever be forgot” Also its my american friend’s birthday, which is funny cos apparantly my birthday is an american holiday too! O+O * Eisteddfod, which is like.. literally a stat testing festival in real life?? Like yknow how you have sports festivals in school, well this is that but for like.. brain. Brain sprints. In mythology the Welsh were basically the Bard class of britain, we have loads of folk heros who are like.. literally able to poetry and then your brain explodes. So poems, songs, and novels are valued a lot here, and this is the biggest day of the school schedule because of it! Everyone gets to dress in ye olden style fancy dress costumes and enter best poem/short story/painting/whatever contests, and it is SURPRISINGLY AWESOME!!! like.. everything is done with MAXIMUM HAM. M A X I M U MMMM There is no amount of hyperbole when I say that the school carves their own wooden throne and there’s a public crowning ceremony for the kids who win. This is a literal actual thing that happens once annually in every school forever. Its called the Chairing Of The Bard! And I won it once when I was 11 or so and it was both the best and worst thing ever, like holy shit i was SO terrified having to stand up in front of 300 people and put on an even more silly costume on silly costumes day... Oh and another strange thing that is actually real! School houses! like in harry potter! Its generally for younger kids tho, its like 100% of all primary schools (grade schools) and then like 1/3rd of high schools? Also the names of the houses are up to the school to decide, but for some reason they almost always seem to be red, yellow, blue and green. In my primary school they were just named for cities in wales, and I always found it really annoying that I didn’t get in Caerdydd house when the school was literally IN Caerdydd! * Also unrelated but I looked up my old high school on google and I’m surprised that so many of the same teachers are still working there seven years later! I’m so happy that some of them got promoted!

* And other miscellaneous festival ideas!!!

* You know what i fuckin love? That nonsense fantasy trope of having to fight thru a giant dungeon and get like the rare crystal feather of the fuckface bird or else you can’t marry the king’s daughter. Its even more weird and weirdly endearing when its just like.. AN EVERYONE. Eveyr marriage. Everywhere. How the fuck do these people actually survive if they have to do this five times a year?? So yeah, I think that’d be a really cool wedding festival to have as like.. a sign of this town being badass, lol But also make it less of a law, cos its not as fun if people are being forced to die on mount terror, yknow? its just a tradition that developed cos of some great adventurer in ye olden times, and goofy bastards dare each other to attempt it as the equivelant of a batchelor’s party. You don’t have to, plenty of people just make faux feather ornaments to propose to their loved one. But it’s considered a powerful good luck blessing to pull off the legendary adventure! Like only one couple every decade manages to do it, and you get a big town festival to make your special day even better! And people won’t be mad if you fail, it’s still a fun bit of entertainment for the townsfolk and a good excuse for Secondary Tradition: We All Get Drunk Instead So yeah, gameplay wise this would mean you have an option to do this festival or not. But it’s gonna be the hardest minigame of all, so don’t come unprepared! Alternatively you can either buy or make your own proposal ornament, and do things the less adventurey way. * Probably different batchelor/ettes would like different things? like Blair is an adventurer herself so of course she’ll go nuts for the traditional feather hunt. And she’d really hate the expensive ornament, cos she’s a down to earth gal who works hard to scrape together enough income in the inn to look after her lil sister. She’d get pissed off at you wasting so much on her, like wtf if you’d bought me a nice sturdy set of furniture that’d be way more useful! (Tho she’s a bit of an outlier and generally most people will at least be flattered by the fancy stuff, even if its not their favourite.) * Oh, and maybe you could actually do the feather festival together?? I actually didn’t think of that, I was just going 100% with the cliche of dude having to do some crazy quest to marry a girl. But it would be a way better test of your luck as a couple if you did it as a couple! That could be SO cool, just the two of you climbing a badass mountain and beating up monsters all lovey dovey~! And it could make the minigame entirely unique on each route, cos each character would have different roles in battle. Most of them aren’t adventurers by trade like Blair, so you could be fighting alongside a mage or a support character. Maybe one of them is actually a weakass that you need to protect? Tho I mean it would be bad to categorize one character as the least enjoyable version of the minigame. So maybe its like one character becomes that in one particular situation, and that’s the sign that you’re getting their Normal Ending instead of the Golden Ending? Someone who has some sort of doubts or a secret they’re keeping, which limits their ability here. Possibly Mortimer? Cos in his case it would be exceptionally hard not to reveal his secret in battle! And I dunno, maybe he tells the protagonist the secret before they get married, and the writing is just framed so that the player never knows but the protagonist does. Now go do his golden ending if you wanna learn more! * I like morty a lot. He’s ended up the most developed even though he’s the most recent character I added, lol!
