Weird Legends + Canon mashups I can’t get out of my head:

Ikrit as a Jedi in the High Republic Era

Ezra running into the Aing-Tii Monks

Thrawn actually dying after Rebels, and the Thrawn in the eponymous trilogy being a mad clone(this is the weakest one in my opinion)

Luke actually meeting K’kruhk and getting his help rebuilding the Jedi, but butting heads in the process

Luminara Unduli evading capture on Kashyyyk, and ends up meeting the Mareks, including one Galen Marek, AKA future Starkiller. Then Vader crashes the party, and oops, Luminara has to raise an extraordinarily powerful toddler in an extraordinarily hostile galaxy.

But the two ideas I hold above all others;

Tahiri Veila’s Tusken/Sand People tribe being the same one we meet in The Book of Boba Fett. More specifically, she’s raised by the black clad warrior who kicks Boba’s ass.

Mara Jade & Maul meeting up and exploring the resulting character dynamic. Or, an AU where Maul actually ends up teaching Mara. Maul’s sort of a mix of Silco & Grime from Amphibia here, being weirdly caring for a Sith, and forming an...odd caring, yet still probably not healthy father-daughter bond with her.

One thing that was really good about episode 4 of Ahsoka is that it knew exactly what the theme needed to be, the same thing that it always comes back to in Star Wars: Attachment. Ahsoka starts the episode off by saying that, if they can't get to the map, they may need to destroy it, stranding Ezra, because letting Thrawn come back is worse, knowing what would happen. Sabine's big temptation in this episode is exactly that--Baylan promises her that she can see Ezra again, because she thinks he's the only family he has left that she can do anything for, because she's so afraid to live without something that she makes a deal with the dark side. It's the exact same situation that Ezra had to make at the end of Rebels--he could bring Kanan back, but it would mean destroying all that Kanan saved in that moment, possibly even tear open time itself. He could have brought his parents back, but it would have let Sidious into the World Between Worlds to tear everything down. Which was the exact same situation that Anakin faced, that Ezra's was a riff off Anakin's, the willingness to trade the entire galaxy's freedom and lives for the one person (who wasn't even actually dead, either!) he was too afraid to live without. Which was the exact same situation that Luke faced, that he could save his friends if he would just give in to the dark side. It's the recurring theme of Star Wars, to face what attachment means to the Jedi, who are based on Buddhist monks, that attachment means the fear that makes you cling to someone or something so hard that you only end up hurting yourself--and Sabine, in her Jedi training, has to face this choice and she couldn't do it, she couldn't be selfless enough to let go and we can see it's going to be a shitshow. It's such a human, empathizable choice, she lost so much, her family is dead, she thinks Ahsoka is dead, she's been stagnating since Ezra left, she feels lost and adrift, of course she makes the wrong choice, of course she gives in to the fear that is attachment, and of course it's going to be awful. OUR GIRL IS GOING THROUGH IT, PLEASE BE KIND TO HER!!!!

i finished Jedi Survivor a couple days ago and was saddened by Zygg, Wili and Mosey leaving, so i like to think that whenever the TL4J crew are out on an adventure and need something specific, Cal just goes “oh i know a guy” and pull up to find one of them

I’m also entertained by the thought of the TL4J crew dropping in to Pyloon’s Saloon and ending up meeting the rest of Cal’s Koboh friends (Toa, Moran, Turgle, Pili, Monk)

You’re conducting some life or death piece of negotiation and this warrior-monk-wizard of legend who can allegedly shoot lasers out their eyes or something you don’t know is there mediating and also there’s a teenager with a silly haircut and pimples taking notes and being asked for his opinion.

Ahsoka’s reply to Baylan saying she couldn’t beat him reminds me of Thor Ragnarok lol. Totally different type of fight too. Ahsoka uses a different stance. She seems way more at peace and calm. She may not be able to beat him in a direct confrontation, but she doesn’t have to because she isn’t alone and can trust in her comrades.

Clapped so hard at the end of the episode. My fave so far. That “and miss this reunion” line from Ahsoka was delivered so smoothly. Awesome episode. Seeds of doubt have been sewn in Shin’s mind. She’ll most likely turn to the light.

Filloni needs to be the Kevin Feige type figure for Disney Star Wars ngl he’s cooking in a way Star Wars live action just hasn’t had in a long time. This whole series just feels so pure Star Wars. So much lore, great characters, action, everything

I feel like I've gotten a fair amount of new followers lately and also wanted to kind of put all my important links/info in one place, so hence, it is time for a new pinned post!

If you follow me for yet more French nonsense, i.e. Phantom of the Opera, my big fics in that fandom are my Lesbian Girl Raoul fics, She Was Bound to Love You and When She Heard You Sing.

If you follow me for magic space monks, i.e. Star Wars, I'm most known for my Shoulder the Sky series, which includes the RoTS fix-it of the same name and its sequel, Whispers From the Dead. I also write a lot of QuinObi fic and will be running a week for them in October. You can find the sideblog for that here. I love the Jedi, Obi-Wan, Anakin, Padme, Quinlan, the Skywalker twins, Kanan, Ezra, and you know, many more.

Hello! I saw your post about having read one of the little novella’s by Becky chambers. I binged a lot of her stuff there for a minute and you probably already know this but just in case, she wrote and released a second book to follow up on the story. It came out over the last 6 months, I can’t remember if it was summer or fall. But it was equally as enjoyable! I love how she writes. (It’s called A Prayer for the Crown-Shy). ♥️
