Fates OC Story: Background Information

Since the game provides very little information on ninjas and their villages/nations, I have taken the liberty to expand on it.

Some terms:

Shurikenjutsu (手裏剣術): Skills related to the use of shuriken. Ninjutsu (忍術): Skills that are magical in nature. Uses ninjutsu scrolls (忍法帖).

Ninja villages/principalities: General

Kohga (コウガ公国) A principality located south of Hoshido. It was the home of many distinguished ninja clans, whose members served the royal family of Hoshido before it was invaded and subsequently destroyed by Mokushu. Former home of Shura. Mokushu (フウマ公国) A principality located south of Izumo, ruled by Kotarou, head of the Fuuma clan. It is also the home of the Kagemori clan. Igasato (イガの里) Located in the mountains of Hoshido, founded by the Saizou and Mizuki clans. * note: Kagerou's clan is not located in any of the above places.

Saizou clan

One of the two founding ninja clans of Igasato whose members serve the royal family of Hoshido. Notable members: Saizou V: Current head of the Saizou clan, retainer of High Prince Ryouma. Suzukaze: Younger twin brother of Saizou V. Saizou IV: Late father of Saizou V and Suzukaze. Served the royal family as a retainer before his death.

Mizuki clan (水月)

The other founding ninja clan of Igasato whose members used to serve the royal family of Hoshido. Specialises in the use of mist/fog-related ninjutsu to confuse enemies. Notable members: Takishiro (瀧白): Amane’s father. Head of the clan, friend of the late Saizou IV. Was killed during Mokushu’s invasion of Igasato. Yukiko (有希子): Amane's mother. Passed away years ago due to illness. Amane (天音): Daughter of Takishiro and Yukiko. Became the head of the clan after Takishiro was killed. Yagen (夜玄): Takishiro's younger brother. Was also a friend of the late Saizou IV. Seiji (清志): Eldest son of Yagen. Was heir presumptive before Amane was born. Amane’s right hand.

Kagemori clan (影森)

A ninja clan from Mokushu. Specialises in the use of poisons. Notable members: Nagame (霖): "Abandoned" as a young child by his parents in order to spy on Igasato. Was taken in by the Mizuki clan and raised as a ninja. Was friends with Amane, Saizou, and Suzukaze before he defected. Aoi (蒼): Nagame's cousin.

Finally came up with a decent ref for Cesylia, my Fates self insert! Fatesona? Corrin…sona? I dunno but! I'm pleased with how she looks~ (not gonna shade it right now tho cause I'm tired fjdsfhg)

She mainly uses ice magic, though she does still wield the Yato and can transform into a dragon. I figure having ice still makes sense, even though she's part Silent Dragon and the Vallite family has the whole water thing going on - ice is just frozen water after all ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Cesylia is a softie who gives "why can't we be friends" Corrin a run for their money. She'll always try to be civil and kind, but she's not a total pushover. When kindness is truly no longer an option, she is willing to stand up for herself and fight, but she'll definitely exhaust every other alternative first. This is also pretty apparent when it comes to a certain...prickly Hoshidan prince, who has a very hard time understanding why in the world she keeps being nice to him despite his bitterness towards her (but dw he gets over it…mostly)

I also spent way too much time coming up with a background that both suits her and tries to fix some of the dumb stuff about Fates' story, while keeping other parts I like ksdjfg. I tried my best to condense it, I really did - but the story of Fates is so long and complicated I found it hard to keep it under a few paragraphs while explaining everything. -u-; I'll put it under the cut if anyone's interested~

One thing I will say here is that she and the Hoshidan siblings know they're not related from the very beginning. I'm still confused how anyone in canon wholeheartedly believed this actual dragon lady who looks nothing like them and has a distinctly non-Japanese (sorry, non-Hoshidan) name is their blood sibling. Someone had to have suspected something at some point, come on now dkjfhg

Cesylia was born in Valla to Anankos and Mikoto. Mikoto prophesized that one day Anankos's degeneration would bring about the destruction of several worlds, so they worked to bestow an incredible power onto their child that would lay dormant until that day, where it would awaken itself and stop the catastrophe. However, they kept it a secret, even to Cesylia herself, because it has the potential to be as destructive as what it's meant to prevent.

Mikoto later flees to Hoshido, marrying Sumeragi after the death of his first wife, and Cesylia spends her very early childhood there. One of Garon's spies learns of her power, and when Sumeragi visits Nohr to discuss a peace treaty, Garon kills him and kidnaps Cesylia, hoping to harness the power for himself. She spends the rest of her childhood and early adulthood in solitude, locked away in a fortified tower in Castle Krakenburg, where she's periodically subject to "trials" by Garon's sorcerers to try and force out her power. She's often visited by the Nohrian siblings, who care for and bond with her while she's confined but have no idea what's really happening.

Hoshidan soldiers later strike, successfully recovering Cesylia and Azura, but the celebration is short-lived as Mikoto is soon killed by a Nohrian assassin. Hoshido makes their counterattack and meets the Nohrian royals on the battlefield. With a heavy heart, Cesylia chooses to stay in Hoshido - she doesn't want to go through the painful trials again, and fears that if the Nohrian siblings try to help, they'll be put in danger for standing against their corrupt father.

When Cesylia is back in Hoshido, she's treated very differently than she remembers - she's constantly doted on, and Ryoma in particular is overly protective of her. Prior to their infiltration of Castle Krakenburg, Mikoto had entrusted Ryoma with the knowledge of her prophetic vision and Cesylia's power. She tasked him and his siblings with guarding Cesylia with their lives, so that she may live to stop the catastrophe when it comes.

After that, she basically follows the plot of the game…s? listen I'm a big dumb baby and I don't want anyone to die so I honestly have no idea what to do after that. As I said, I tried to condense it, so there's more little details I didn't put here, but I like what I have here~ -u-

Okay i know that the Fatesona community is kinda quiet, however I picked up the games again and was sorta thinking, what if Revelation wasn't a bringing together of the two sides in the way we all thought it was? What if there was a whole thriving Vala that is sent to actually stop the oncoming needless war between Nohr and Hoshido? I know this messes with the story a lot but i really really really like the idea. I liked the idea so much i even started a chart! If anyone else likes this idea I'd love to know. I tend to be oblivious when it comes to romance unless the relationship is built up in front of my face and it’s really caring. It’s why I have a lot of Fire Emblem F/Os, because you can see their character moments in supports (and especially when the Avatar mechanic was re-introduced because now these characters could actually interact with me). There are a few exceptions for my non-F/O ships, such as Iwai/Tae, but ye. SO I technically started self shipping when Awakening came out in 2013. And because Priam wasn’t really getting fan attention, I made it my mission to give him the attention I felt he deserved. I made my first self insert for FE Fates because I was REAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAALLy salty about the story and felt I had to fix it myself. (some of you may remember the fatesona days). And then Taylor introduced me to the self ship community! Again, I’m not really used to traditional romance stuff, so I aim to go for out there/bizarre situations

Before the whole game, Miu was probably the quiet kid in class, never really talked to anyone unless they had to do group work or smth, so she wasn’t especially close with anyone and was often by herself. She had average/mediocre grades...nothing special...she was never in a club and never really did anything to stand out.

I mentioned this before, but realistically, Miu would probably be a crying mess in this situation, not being able to kill anyone on purpose. Because of that, she’d probably die really fast (shindan maker: miu will survive for 17 seconds fcukign rip).

If she wasn’t (maybe in another version of this au lol), she’d pretend to be really kind, gain people’s pity to bring their guard down and then kill them in their sleep, probably. She’d only do this to the ones that look like they would fall for her act easily, and would generally try to avoid those that would kill her regardless of whether she’s nice or not, since strength is not her strong point and would probably lose in a physical fight.

Also, since she wasn’t exactly close with anyone, both versions of Miu would probably have a hard time trusting anyone. Sometimes she’ll go along with others for a bit, but if she feels like she still can’t trust them, she’ll just try to run away from them while they’re asleep or smth.

Here, he’s finally done! To go along with Takara/Ana, my shrine maiden fatesona who can join in any route, i decided to make a partneresque character for her, one that, similarly can join in all three routes, but is of a nohrian class. 

ABOUT HIM

Name: Kohaku if in the birthright route, Amber if in the conquest route, will go by either in the revelations route.

age: appears 18 (i’ve no clue how wolfskins age :/ )

routes obtained in: Birthright, Conquest, Revelations.

Likes: food, his treasures, kitsune, adventure, his scarf.

dislikes: vegetables, being “too” dirty, loud noises, boredom.

personality: Kohaku is outgoing, excitable, and fun to be around. He is often described as childish but this is because of his love for adventure and excitement. When he chooses to be, he can be relatively calm and even-tempered. He tends to be wary around strangers as he was raised to believe that humans were after his pelt, but once he opens up to you he is like an excitable puppy.

bio: At some point during the war, his original parents were forced to flee from Kaen Peak where their pack lived. In their attempt to flee to hoshido, they were struck down and Kohaku was carried by a stream away from nohr. He was found soon after by a group of kitsune and in return was raised as one of their own. He was never told about where he originally came from, and because of this believes himself to be an odd-looking kitsune; both in human and beast form. Similar to a wolfskin, he has a knack for collecting treasures that most humans would consider to be junk, however some of these treasures he collects he tries to fix them to see if, in their original state, they had more use. Though quite happy amongst the kitsune, he’s noticed he always has a strange curiosity about nohr because of the howls he hears most nights coming from there. The kitsune have warned him about traveling there, but his curiosity has never left. Once he joins the avatar’s army (depending on if the route is conquest or revelations) he becomes ecstatic to learn more about the wolfskin through keaton and velouria.

CONQUEST: Chapter 19. Have Keaton or Velouria speak with him, he will be confused and curious about them as he has never met someone who transforms similar to him. Though reluctant, he will join because he wishes to learn more about his true race. EDIT: any wolfskin fatesona can also do this part instead of Keaton or velouria.

REVELATIONS: Joins automatically on chapter 13 with keaton and kaden.

Battle Royale: Morien's Beginning

Morien treaded lightly through the heavily forested area. She had kept herself safe this long by simply walking circles around most conflict zones. She felt her stomach growl as she pulled out a small pack of animal crackers to snack on. She was getting low, but she could care less. She was surviving without having to fight or kill anyone. "I hope the others are doing okay... I mean... I hope they didn't loose their nerve to this sick game..." Her hands trembled a bit at the thought of her friends killing eachother. Morien shook her head, pushing the image out of her mind. Once the crackers were gone, she decided to load up her assault rifle in case of emergencies. Suddenly there was a snap of a twig not too far behind her. She looked around quickly for signs of movement before hiding behind a tree. She prepped her gun as the sound grew closer. When the sound was close enough she could tell they were behind her hiding tree, she lept out with it aimed at them. "Freeze!" Freeze?! God, you sound stupid right now! ------------------------------------------------------------------ So here is a little written piece for the Battle Royale au since I'm no good with comic strips like everyone else. Morien has survived this long by avoiding the fight. Will she encounter a friend, an ally, or perhaps her doom? Not sure yet. I'll leave that to anyone~~

Valla Pt 01 - Major POV

It was supposed that it was a battle like other, just a troop here, another there and dot, but it was a trap, how I didn’t see it?! Now I’m here laying on the ground, without being able to move one of my legs and I haven’t more mana to use spells…-I’m so useless right now-… But she’s still fighting, holding her hammer against the enemies, her armor was almost totally destroyed, her breathe was tired and faltering, most of her body was injured, but she’s still fighting, my partner, the only woman I trust and who’s got me crazy, Alex. 

  -  Just the last one – she said to me, meanwhile, a Swordmaster without any injury was walking to us ... Alex can’t fight him, she could barely stand up, she has too many cuts and hits on her. 

-  Alex, you’re terrible injured, you can still run away, I can make some tricks to distract him.. I just… 

-  No Major, I still can fight, I can still kick some Hoshidian-trash

-   Alex… don’t 

She didn’t listen to me, she fight with all her remaining forces, she did fight very well, she could win this battle, but not with her injuries and fatigue. The swordmaster throws her in front of me, Alex stand up one more time.  

-  I’m sorry Major, I couldn’t …  - she said to me, I’m trying to get closer …

-  Don’t be, we’ll figure out, some way or another – 

-  Major, I ever tell you that you’re so annoying?

-     Always?..wh-

 -    Idiot, a smug, a womanizer, a pain in the ass, …-Ok Alex, not the moment - but even with all that, I can’t let you die, you’re my partner in cri~.. –  

She faints and I catch her before she hits the ground. Now I see why she was telling all that, she has a severe injury on her stomach, she’s bleeding, my mind goes to blank, what I could do right now?, if I don’t do anything she could die, I’m shaking, what I could do? The swordmaster was getting closer “no, no, no” this can’t be the end… can’t be… fuck…. “ 

I do the first that came to my mind, I try to persuade the swordmaster, that take her for prisoner, that she have a value information, that she know the castle, she know how to make jewels to increase power, I sold her, I don’t care, I just want that she stay alive, she could escape from anywhere, I know she can’t, I don’t care what happens to me. 

Somehow, I convince the swordmaster, he left me unconscious and take both, I believe in the moment we will take us to Hoshido, I’ve never been so wrong….

Because is no way I can draw all this (not now), I write it ! I really, really want to share this part (how they end in Valla), and I’m really motivated that few people show interest - makes me extremely happy that you can’t even imagine -  Thanks again !!!
