Comment Bingo Trial Run
Very simple rules: connect 5 squares in a line by completing the task in each square

@ihni and I thought it'd be fun to receive something commemorating a win (who gets bingo first isn't the point—ALL BINGOS are wins), in which case, there could be different tiers of achievement:

ELITE Bingo Badge?? (ALL squares filled—for the ambitious, or at least for @ihni who will prob eat this card for breakfast)
I can make a badge with my limited Canva skills, but we thought it'd be cool if fandom artists came up with different designs? So if any artists wanna contribute, let me know.

FAQ:
Can I comment on tumblr or only on AO3?
Either one is great! Some squares are more designed with AO3 in mind, but most can be adjusted to suit tumblr as well, so I say go for it. Tumblr fics deserve love, too.
Can one comment count toward multiple squares if the fic fits more than one category?
Since the goal is for as many fics to receive comments as possible, try to comment on a different fic for each square.
Is there a time limit?
Nope! Take your time or set your own deadline, whatever works for you. This blog is still in its early experimental stage, so feedback welcome. Play around and let me know what you like and what might be added/changed—including ideas for squares on future cards!
Do I have to record progress on the actual card?
Nope! If it’s easier to keep track in a different way, that’s fine. This is all very honor system, so if you say you earned a Bingo, we’ll call it a win 🎉
Some people have been tracking not just completed tasks, but the fics they read along the way, so that when they post a bingo, they can also promote the fics/authors in a little rec list. Not required, but definitely cool to see!
Can I adjust the task in a particular square to suit my comfort level?
Of course! If you deliver something in the spirit of the task, then it’s all good. Use your best judgement in constructing a comment that will make the author smile, and you can consider it a job well done.
In general, so long as each square has produced at least one comment, you’re golden and I salute you 🫡

Got sick so I haven't been making as much progress on this as I would have liked. So here is my comfort fic.
New Game Plus
Summary:
After a disaster worse than Sabaody, the crew are 'saved' by Vegapunk's experimental time machine. All of the crew is blown back into their past bodies with all of their memories. As Luffy slowly gathers them together again, the world will never be the same. Who wants the same old boring adventure? Screw the plot, and let the chips fall where they may.
This is basically a One Piece time-travel fic. Still one of the best ones in my opinion. It has a smarter Luffy that had tricked Garp into training him. Stronger Straw Hat crew and an expansion of the Straw Hat pirates into an Armada. This is just a wonderful fic and I cannot recommend it enough to anyone who likes time travel and stronger Straw Hats.

Comment on a fic with under 50 hits: Dandelion Wishes by Carerra_os, rating T, WIP, Harringrove. This is a super sweet fic with child Billy and a very little magical Steve! And being part of the Harringrove Big Bang it also has incredible art made by Raven ! (now it has more than 50 hits like it deserves but I was lucky enough to be one of the first peole to read it!)
Theorize about world, character, and/or theme: and then you came by what_about_the_fish, rating E, WIP, Harringrove. Another incredible fic from the Harringrove Big Bang (so it has art as well! Made by Luca Doodle Doo) In a Dom/Sub universe Soft Dom Steve finds Billy, a Sub without a Dom that desperatly need one who took care of him like he deserves.
Epilogue comment: speculate on characters' futures: The Only Living Ghost In New York by beetlesandstars, rating M, complete, Steddie. A modern AU where Steve realizes that he is in love with Eddie... when Eddie gets married! It hurts so good!
Explain while the fic is better than canon: Let it happen by Romeren (, rating M, WIP, Harringrove, super sweet story written for bigbangharringrove and with beautiful art by Lemon and Apple.
Leave a long comment: Baby, I got sick this morning (heal me, darling)by TheRedHarlequin - rating: E, a lovely WIP with my favorite threesome: Steve, Billy and Eddie! Half sick fic and half magical AU! And it's not cheating if I put it again bacause it's a WIP and we finally got TO THE HOT CHAPTER and the world needs to know it! “Yeah,” Steve hisses (because maybe talking will distract him, who fucking knows), “—I kinda gathered that when I woke up with you gawking at me. I mean, you’re a cool dude, Munson, but you wouldn’t be the main attraction in my afterlife, man. No offense.”
“Hey, man. None taken. I’m still stuck on the fact that King Steve thinks I’m a cool dude.”

The response to the Comment Bingo has been amazing so far! Let's keep that momentum going. If you want to join, you can play with the original card or choose one of the other available cards:

This blog is intended to promote anything and everything related to fic writing and commenting. In the fandom ecosystem, both creators and enjoyers are essential, but especially active creators and enjoyers—by which I also mean interactive.

I completed my first @feedthefandomfest bingo!
the green circles are things i already do all the time or quite often (i have thoughts written out somewhere about why i started unhinged liveblog comments and how I now do them for me) but didn't choose to use for bingo.
what this bingo did inspire for me was actually seeking out underappreciated works or new authors on ao3 (not necessarily indicated on my card 😅). I haven't been able to read a ton - at least not in the way I'd like that allows for unhinged live blogging - but I think it'll be cool to see how my reading and commenting habits continue to shift. It's impossible to read everything and stuff easily gets lost in the shuffle and often things are popular for a reason but hidden gems are kind of my jam.
this was a fun, thoughtful experience and I am grateful to @feedthefandomfest for encouraging us to challenge ourselves!
